Rained Out

"Thanks for giving me a lift, guys," Mykel said as water dripped from his fur and clothes. "My ride wasn't supposed to pick me up until after the game." The skunk had been attending a preseason soccer game when the sudden rainstorm had set upon the city of Constance, putting an end to the game and sending the fans fleeing for shelter. He was lucky enough to find a familiar face in the crowd, and Connor had led him to Ethan and Evan's car. The twin wolves occupied the front seats, still in their Atlantica University soccer uniforms, and Connor sat in the back with him. The torrential downpour had caught them all, and the car was quickly filling with the smell of wet fur.
Ethan turned in his seat to face the pair in the back, his soaked bangs hanging in his face. "No problem, dude. We're just glad we could help," he said, giving the skunk a good looking over. Mykel shifted in his seat, uncomfortable from the predatory gaze in the wolf's one visible eye. "How do you two know each other? Connor doesn't mention too many of his friends." A sigh came from behind the steering wheel, and a black gloved paw reached over and pushed on Ethan's shoulder, forcing him back into his seat properly. The wolf scowled as his twin brother lectured him briefly for being nosy.
Connor shrugged apologetically and feigned a smile. "Sorry, Myk, you know how wolves can get...overprotective." He seemed relieved when the skunk smiled and nodded. "We were in the dorms together our freshman year," the otter added, answering Ethan's question with a slight scowl. His brow furrowed-a gesture that Mykel found adorable on Connor's face-and he reached around the seat to pinch Ethan's ear. "And don't you worry about my friends; they weren't the ones that broke the coffee table last week."
A small 'yip' came from the front of the car, and Mykel had to cover his muzzle to keep from laughing. He dropped his paws when the wolf turned around again, shooting daggers at the otter. "We, uh, yeah, the dorms freshman year," he chimed in, a shiver going down his spine when those blue eyes settled on him. There wasn't a gay student at AU that didn't have eyes for the Rone twins; and now being so close to them with the smell of their fur in his nose, Mykel couldn't stop his mind from wandering. "W-we usually have a class together each semester...except for the last one." That answer seemed enough to sate the wolf's curiosity, and he turned away from them.
They drove in silence for a while, the rain beating down the roof of the car. The air conditioning blasted cool air into the muggy cab, swirling the scent of wolf, otter, and skunk together. "We're just a few minutes from our place. We can get dry there, and when the rain lets up I can give you a lift home. That sound alright, Mykel?" The skunk agreed, secretly anxious to see the twins' apartment. "This should pass in a little while, but that doesn't mean we have to wait it out wet," Evan added, keeping his attention on the road.
When they arrived at the apartment, the four scrambled from the car and up the stairs to get under the awning. Dripping anew, they stepped into the apartment and Mykel's breath was taken away by the scent of two virile wolves. Their apartment was expansive, much larger than Mykel's dorm room or any apartment his friends had. A large sectional couch occupied the living room, sitting in front of a huge flat screen television. There was a waist high wall dividing the living room from the kitchen, which was fairly clean aside from some stray dishes. Other than that, the apartment seemed in fair order. He attributed that to Connor's influence, most likely.
Once they were inside, Ethan and Evan immediately stripped off their soaked jerseys, much to Mykel's surprise (and delight). "I call shower," Ethan said, and pushed past his twin to head down the hall on the right. His brother just shook his head and followed slowly.
"C'mon, Myk, you can use my shower to get warmed up." Connor reached out and brushed his shoulder with his fingers before stepping around him to lead him down the hall. Still distracted by the images of the shirtless wolves, Mykel followed. They entered the hallway that had four doors, three of which were bedrooms, and a bathroom that Ethan was currently occupying. The door at the end of the hall was closing, but the skunk was able to get one last glance of Evan's bare chest. "This one's mine...with an attached bathroom," he said, stopping at the door across from the hall bathroom.
The otter seemed rather proud of the fact that the twins had relinquished the master bedroom to him. "This is nice," Mykel murmured as he trailed Connor through the door. The room was large; too large for the few belongings in it. A single size bed rested against a far wall, with a three-drawer dresser next to the door. In the corner was a music stand, and next to it the case for Connor's violin. A closet with more clothes spilling from it than were hung in it rested half open by another door in the room. "Bathroom?" Mykel asked knowingly, motioning towards the door.
"Uh, yeah. Just let me grab a towel then you can have free reign." He watched as his friend ducked into the bathroom and it was flooded with a white light. The otter returned with a green towel draped over his head, and another that he handed to Mykel. "You can...get a warm shower, if you want. To knock the chill off," he added quickly, rubbing the towel around his shoulders.
"Thanks, Con," the skunk said and stepped into the bathroom. As he looked around, he found himself amused at how pristine it was: Connor had always been on the tidy side. Setting his towel on the edge of the sink, Mykel began to strip off his wet clothes when a thought crossed his mind. Poking his head back into the bedroom, Mykel started, "Do you have something I can slip into while-" He stopped mid-sentence when his eyes befell a naked otter. Connor had the towel over his head, rubbing vigorously, and must not have heard the door open. He felt bad spying, but found it hard to look away. The thin frame with the almost girlish hips held a certain appeal to him as his eyes wandered across the otter's body. A small, toned rear was accented by a lovely, tapered tail. But when Connor dropped the towel to his shoulders, his eyes snapped back up. "H-hey."
"Hey," Connor replied, quickly wrapping the towel around his waist. He cleared his throat and gripped the towel tightly, looking away from the skunk. "You need anything else?" Mykel thought he could see a red hue forming on Connor's cheeks but he wasn't certain due to the dark brown fur.
As hard as he tried, he couldn't keep the smile off his face. "I'm, uh, gonna go take a warm shower. You're," he hesitated, not sure if finishing his sentence was a good idea, "welcome to join. If you don't want to wait, I mean." Connor still wouldn't look at him, nor did he say anything as Mykel closed the door. "Smooth, dumb ass," he growled under his breath, pulling back the shower curtain and stepping inside.
The water was warm and soothing as he let it soak his white head fur; the air conditioning in the car had set a nasty chill on him. He still wasn't sure what he would wear once he got out, but surely Connor had something he could borrow. They were about the same size and build, Mykel was just a little taller with a few more pounds around his middle. Or maybe one of the wolves had something he could wear. They were larger than him, and taller, but he wouldn't mind slipping into a pair of their shorts. He felt himself stir at the thought of the wolves: Connor sure was lucky to get to live with them. He bet the otter had even seen them naked...
With the water pouring down around his ears he hadn't heard the bathroom door open. He jumped with a sharp gasp as the edge of the shower curtain was pulled back, revealing an embarrassed looking otter. "It's...uh, I got cold..." he stammered, refusing to meet Mykel's eyes. They stood there, Connor hesitant, and the skunk in a state of shock. "I'll just, uh...s-sorry," he stuttered, redness obviously showing through his cheek fur as he started to pull the curtain closed again.
"It's alright." The words surprised even him, but Mykel didn't regret saying them. "You should...get warm too." He reached out and gently touched Connor's paw, keeping the curtain open. A friendly smile spread across his muzzle as the otter slipped into the shower. The bathtub was large enough for them both to stand comfortably, and Mykel pressed himself against the tile wall so Connor could get in front of the shower head. Once again presented with the naked, fit body, the skunk couldn't keep his eyes from it.
The sound of running water was the only noise in the room as Mykel kept his distance, unsure of what signals he was receiving. However he didn't have to wait long before he was prompted. "Would you mind...washing my back? The soap is behind you," Connor said softly, dipping his head under the shower and letting the water flow through the fur of his back. He hesitated, but only for a moment before grabbing the liquid soap from the shelf and pouring a large glob into his paw. Connor's gaze stayed fixed on the wall in front of him as the skunk paw slid between his shoulder blades, drawing out a slight shiver from the otter.
"You okay?" Mykel asked, concerned. He kept soaping the otter's back when he was assured that he was fine, and he added a second paw. His fingers worked over Connor's shoulders, running through the dark brown fur. "Y'know," he started, feeling slightly more relaxed when the otter began to relax under his paws, "the last time we saw each other...like this...was freshman year."
Connor giggled and put a paw against the wall in front of him. "You mean the time we got drunk on wine coolers?" They both laughed and Mykel moved his paws to the otter's shoulders.
"And we started to fool around but couldn't decide on who would top?" They laughed again, the skunk's right paw moving down his companion's side. It felt nice to hold him again: they hadn't wanted a relationship then, and it wasn't long after that Connor had started dating Spencer. They'd shared one night together, and it hadn't harmed their friendship. Maybe they could share another.
"So we decided to just sixty-nine instead? And you pulled away at the end and shot it straight up my nose..." Connor smiled and half turned his head to glance at Mykel, who had a matching grin. "Why was it just the one time?"
The question caught him off guard, but Mykel kept his composure, rubbing the otter's shoulder lightly. "Well, I mean..." Why had it just been the one time? "I don't know. We had a good thing just being friends...and then you started dating that wolf." Immediately he knew bringing up Spencer was a bad move. The smile melted from Connor's face and he turned back around to stare at the shower wall. "Sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"Its fine," he said with a sullen tone. "You aren't the one that broke my heart after two years. Hell, you and Hayden tried to talk me out of dating him. I should have listened." When Mykel's paws stopped, Connor turned around to face him again. "Thank you for being such a good friend." When the otter wrapped his arms around him, the only thing he could do was return the embrace.
"You don't have to thank me, Con," he whispered, feeling himself stir as the close contact with the naked lutrine. He held his friend to his chest, trying his best to keep his hips back so Connor wouldn't notice his growing arousal. "It doesn't have to...be just the one time," he whispered after a moment. "That is, if you want to give it another try," he added when the otter pulled back and looked at him quizzically. It was the skunk's turn to blush when he received an overly friendly lick on the end of his nose. "Maybe we can skip the wine coolers this time..."
Connor smiled and laughed softly, giving him a quick peck on the cheek. "We don't have to argue over who will top, either." Reaching between them, the otter grasped Mykel's swollen sheath. The skunk let out a loud gasp as fingers wrapped around him, surprised at how quickly Connor's demeanor changed. He let out a soft rumble as his sheath was pulled down, exposing his entire length to the humid air. "Just take it easy on me," the otter whispered, releasing the cock and slowly turning around. The thick, rudder-like tail lightly bumped against his thigh invitingly as Connor moved under the water again, letting it rinse the soap from his fur.
Panting softly, Mykel leaned forward and wrapped his arms around the otter's torso. His hips pressed against the other male's, the tip of his shaft pressing against the base of the thick tail. "I've got a confession: I haven't been with anyone in over two months." He nuzzled the back of Connor's neck, moving one paw lower.
"If we're...making confessions," the otter panted, "I haven't been with anyone since...him." Surprised by that statement, Mykel's paw stopped just above Connor's sheath. It was Connor who took the paw and placed it over his hardening member. "It's okay. I'd rather it be with a friend...someone familiar I can trust." He looked over his shoulder and bumped his nose to Mykel's, helping to wash away the skunk's doubts like the soap from his fur.
He found it hard to believe that Connor hadn't had a lover in eight months: there were quiet rumors that he was sleeping with both of the twins. Of course, Mykel didn't believe them (though he'd thought about what it might look like, on more than one occasion), but he thought a hot guy like Connor would have found someone to share his bed. Maybe he was sleeping with one of the Rone twins... His thoughts were interrupted when Connor thrust into his paw, his long, lutrine cock throbbing in his grasp. "I'll try my best not to disappoint," he whispered, nipping the back of his lover's neck.
Reaching for the soap bottle again, Mykel squeezed a decent amount into his palm. Rubbing both paws together, he reached one around to tend to Connor's shaft while the other raised the thick tail. "E-easy," the otter gasped, whimpering as his cock was teased. The skunk smiled and rubbed along his friend's seven inch member, coating it with a foaming slickness. Brushing the tail to the side, Mykel probed around gently until he found Connor's delicate entrance. "Ah," the otter cried out, hanging his head and biting his lip.
"I'll take that as a good sign," the skunk muttered, pressing one slick finger against the other male's tight hole. "Just relax, Con," he whispered, feeling the tip of his finger start to slide in. The soap was making things a lot easier, but he wanted to get the otter prepared for him before it washed away. He stroked the hard shaft while he fingered him, hoping to distract him from any discomfort. "Let me know if it hurts," he said, kissing the back of Connor's ear, and added a second finger.
A sharp cry escaped the otter's lips, but when Mykel started to pull away, he reached back and grabbed his wrist. "No...it feels...good," he panted, his breathing labored. "Keep going." That was all the encouragement Mykel needed, and began to work over the tight tail hole again. The otter squirmed in his grasp, torn between thrusting into the paw or back against the invading fingers. When the third finger was added without any negative reaction, the skunk decided it was time.
Applying the soap to his own member, Mykel held Connor's tail aside and slid up under it. "Last chance to back down," he whispered, but the look he received was one of desire, not of uncertainty. Holding onto the otter's hip, the skunk held his shaft as he pressed the tip against the tight opening. "You're still tight, Con," he growled, giving a low grunt when the tip finally slid in. Connor moaned and shuddered in his grasp, bracing himself against the wall with a paw while the other stroked himself furiously. "So tight and warm," Mykel murmured, giving his hips a solid thrust. Nearly his entire six inches disappeared into the warm, lutrine passage, drawing out another cry of pleasure from his partner. Once he was buried to the hilt, Mykel kissed the back of Connor's neck and slid back out to the tip, then pushed himself back inside.
The otter squirmed in his grasp, thrusting into his own paw when Mykel would pull out, then pushing back at him on the skunk's forward thrusts. Been so long...not sure if I can last... Mykel thought. The warmth of Connor's rear enveloping him was already pushing him towards the edge. It had been too long since his last lover, and each thrust was breaking down his resolve. "Let me help with this." Trying to keep the mind off his own cock, the skunk reached around and brushed Connor's paw away and began to stroke him at a matching pace.
"Fuck, Mykel," the otter moaned, "I'm gonna-ah!" Even with the warm water pouring over them the skunk could feel the heat of Connor's seed soaking through the fur of his paw. He stroked him faster, getting more excited with each sound of pleasure the otter emitted. When the orgasm washed over him, his muscles tightened around Mykel's cock, sending the skunk over the edge as well.
"Connor," he grunted, pushing himself as far as he could inside the otter before releasing his seed. He pulled them close, riding out his orgasm with short, soft thrusts that made the otter whimper and moan. After a moment of recovering their breath, Mykel pulled away, shivering as his still hard member slipped free of the warm passage. "Thank you," he whispered, nuzzling Connor's cheek.
The otter responded in kind, still trying to catch his breath. "You don't have to thank me. I think we both needed that..." They cleaned up in silence, washing away any signs of their dalliance: it was hard to fool a wolf's nose, and they didn't need any sly commentary from the twins. They helped each other dry off, Connor having to fend off the occasional roving paw. He loaned Mykel a shirt and pair of shorts, stuffing the wet clothes into a duffel bag for him.
"Do you ever...think we might have had a chance back then?" He hadn't meant to ask the question: it actually wasn't even something he'd considered since Connor and Spencer started dating years ago. He shifted uneasily when the otter's gaze set upon him, but he didn't seem angry or hurt. "I'm sorry, I'm just... thinking out loud. Forget I said anything."
"It's alright." Stepping closer to him, Connor wrapped his arms around him again and pulled him close. "No, I don't think we had a chance back then. Staying friends was the best thing we could have done." He placed a light kiss on Mykel's cheek and squeezed him tightly before parting. "Are you okay with that?"
Contemplating silently, the skunk rubbed a paw across his friend's back. "Yeah. Yeah, I think I am." The smile he gave was returned in kind, and they shared another brief kiss. "So," he said, trying to shift the topic, "you really hadn't been with anyone in eight months?" Smirking, the lutrine assured him that was true. "Guess that means the rumors are false." He smiled at the quizzical look that statement received and picked up the duffel bag with his wet clothes.
"Wait, what rumors?" Stepping between him and the door, Connor put his paws on his hips and refused to let the skunk pass. "What do the rumors say? And why haven't you told me about them before?" He playfully smacked his companion's shoulder and stuck out his bottom lip in a faux pout. With a sly grin, Mykel told him, and the response he got was more than gratifying than holding out. "They think I'm what? With both of them?"
The longer he looked at Connor's face, the harder it was to hold in the laughter. Covering his broad smile with a paw, Mykel pushed past the otter and opened the door to the hall. "Don't let it bother you, Con. It's just jealousy talking." Both of the twins were in the living room when he entered the room, and they both turned to look at him quizzically.
"Hey, the rain's slacked up if you're ready to go. You're welcome to hang out here for a while, if you want," Evan said from the couch. "We don't see too many of Connor's friends, and you might have some fun stories to share." He winked at the otter that had followed Mykel into the room, flashing his white canines teasingly.
"Well, there was this time freshman year, involving a lot of wine coolers-" he started, but was stifled when a brown paw clamped over the end of his muzzle.
The wolves laughed as Connor shushed him, shifting his glare between the twins and the skunk. "I don't think they need to hear that story. Nor any other embarrassing anecdotes, is that clear?" Mykel did his best to nod with Connor's paw still over his muzzle. Satisfied, the otter released him and joined the wolves on the couch.
Looking out the kitchen window, it was clear the rain had almost stopped, and Mykel decided he should get home. "If I can get back soon I can stop Chase from going out looking for me at the field. He'll get pissy if he drives there and I'm already home." Evan agreed and grabbed his keys. "It was nice meeting you, Ethan," he said, and the wolf responded likewise. "Connor, I'll see you in class Tuesday." Their eyes met, and neither one of them could keep the smile off their faces.
Once they were in the car, Evan turned to him with a solemn expression and locked eyes with him. Mykel felt that same chill as before when those blue eyes held him, and he was unsure of what to do. "Uh, is...something wrong?" He shifted nervously in the seat beside the wolf, every silent second becoming more uncomfortable.
"Funny thing about the master bedroom..." he rumbled softly, facing forward in his seat and starting the car. As he backed out of the driveway, he flashed the skunk a toothy grin. "The attached bathroom shares a wall with my bedroom. And the walls aren't really that thick..." Mykel suddenly felt a tightening in his throat. "So I gotta ask, what are your intentions?" The wolf waited for a response, but not for long. "I'm just asking because Connor's like a...brother to me. And I watch out for my family." He glanced at Mykel from the corner of his eye, not keeping most of his attention on the road.
Inhaling deeply, Mykel let out a long breath. "You don't have to worry. Connor and I are...just friends. Good friends," he added when the wolf raised an eyebrow. With a slow smile, Mykel turned to look out the window, the raindrops clinging to the glass reminding him of the recent shower. "That's all we'll be, but that's all we need."
