The long overdue conclusion of the Gain and Loss series. A wrap up of the lives of Thorn and Sam with hints of what the future might bring.

Epilogue: Pack Lost, Pack Gained

OOOOO

The pickup truck rolled slowly to a stop as the driver looked for a parking spot. "Damn..." He muttered quietly. "Busier than I expected it to be." He smiled after a moment. "Still, that's a good problem to have in this case." His search paused as he spotted a sign for a reserved parking spot, along with a photo he had thought had been "lost" forever. "I'm going to kill him..."

Parking in the available space the engine cut out and the door opened. "The Salena Greymoon Community Center..." His plumage ruffled as he stepped out of the car. "Has this place gotten bigger since I last saw it?" Scratching at his brown feathering he walked purposefully toward the entrance of the building, watching as Furres of all ages and species in sparring uniforms moved to and fro.

The atmosphere of the building was just charged with excitement, though it was light hearted with only a small trace of nervous energy. The falcon smiled as he watched through the open gym doors at the match squares that were marked off along the length of the room. As he tried to enter the tournament grounds he spotted a few banners hanging along the gym walls, his eyes focused on the small rainbow insignia stitched into the corners. "Huh, guess they did expand a bit." His eyes caught onto a plaque set between the two doors. Although the engraving was clearly a wolf, it didn't match the descriptions of Salena that Thorn had always given him. Before he had a chance to investigate though, a nearby lynx wearing a proctor's uniform caught his attention and waved him over.

"Master Kameg?" Questioned the lynx uncertainly.

The avian smiled, but shook his head. "Yes, I'm Kameg, but the title of Master is not mine."

"O-oh, of course Sir." The lynx looked a little flustered. "I was asked by Miss Samantha to be on the look out for you."

At this Kameg blinked in surprise, then shrugged his shoulders with a chuckle. "Figures one of them would remember. Any chance you could tell me where I can find Samantha?"

"I'll take you to her Sir." The lynx held out a small admission ticket to the avian. "Mr. Blackbriar already paid for your entry."

Kameg smiled, but shook his head, as he took the ticket. "What are those two up to now?" He followed the lynx around the entry tables and into the crowd to the spectator area. It did not take long for him to spot the crème-furred bunny and he dismissed the lynx waiting upon him. "So, how should I be addressing you today?" He asked with a smile.

Sam turned at the sound of the voice, his longer, black headfur twirling slightly as he moved. "Kameg!" His skirt flowed as he moved to embrace the bird with his free arm. "You made it. Thorn will be thrilled."

"No he won't." Kameg laughed. "He's going to tell me to get out of the way while he coaches his team." The conversation paused as he looked again to the cub on Sam's hip noting the mix of rabbit and what looked like equine features. "So...I know I've been gone a while but..."

Sam laughed as he hoisted the three year old a bit higher so she could sit more comfortably. "This is Marjory, my niece."

"Cads has a..." Kameg's eyes widened and then he calmed. "Right, I always forget that you have an older sister. How's she doing?"

"She's been doing pretty well actually. That's part of the reason I'm cub sitting today." Sam nodded his head indicating they should start walking. "Her tattoo parlor has been so successful she's trying to expand it. She's meeting with some potential investors today."

"Good for her." Kameg looked around as he realized they were moving closer to the competition area. "And how about you and the mutt?"

"Unka Thorn is not a mutt." Marjory reached out from where she rested against Sam and hit Kameg with her tiny fist.

"Marjory." Sam's voice became firm. "We don't hit unless it's on the mats and the teacher says it's ok."

"But he said something mean about Unka Thorn!" The cub protested.

Sam shook his head. "That does not mean we hit." He faced Kameg again. "Sorry about that. We started her with some of the cub classes but the whole idea of when it's ok and not ok to hit someone is still a work in progress."

Kameg waved it off, though he was surprised by the amount of strength in the little girl's punch. "It's fine, I remember the cub classes." He looked to Marjory. "But you are right. I shouldn't call Thorn names even if we are friends."

Marjory looked at the falcon suspiciously for several seconds. "You're friends with Unka Thorn?" At Kameg's nod she turned to her relative for confirmation. "Is that really true Auntie Sammy?"

Sam chuckled at the confused look on Marjory's face. "Yes, remember how Uncle Thorn said he was looking forward to his old sparring partner coming to town?"

The cub's eyes suddenly lit up in recognition. "This guy is the birdbrain?" She again studied Kameg suspiciously. "He doesn't look that strong."

"You are definitely your mother's daughter." Sam muttered as he saw Kameg's feather's ruffle slightly. Reaching under the waistband of his skirt Sam produced a small ID card. "Here you go. Thorn should be on the floor somewhere with his team. I'm going to go have a little talk with my niece about manners."

The muscles around the edge of Kameg's beak turned upward in a smile. "I'll leave you to that then." He looked at the ID card and blinked at the title of Assistant Coach. "Hey Sammy." The avian called before the rabbit got to far away, pausing slightly to pick the right words. "You look good with a fledgling on your hip." Kameg smile widened as the bunny's fur pinked with blush, and laughed openly when Sam made a shooing motion with his free paw.

As the bird disappeared into the crowd Marjory looked over at her caretaker. "Hey Auntie Sammy?"

"Yes, Marjory?"

"What'd he mean you look good with me on your hip?"

Sam's blush deepened. "Nothing, he's just trying to be funny."

OOOOO

Kameg walked slowly as he crossed the competition floor, watching the various matches as he moved about. The majority of the matches were for the cubs at the younger levels and tapered down as the competitors got older, as was the case with most sports. He paused now and again as different fighters caught his eye, admiring the discipline shown by many. Before long he spotted a spar that he truly wanted to see and walked over to stand beside the coach. "Only a red belt?" Kameg mused aloud. "Figured he'd be a red and black by now."

"He should be." The coach agreed. "But he was forced to take a few years off against his wishes due to pack issues. But..." He stopped talking as the rabbit in the ring leaned back to avoid the powerful front kick that the panda attacked with followed by a single-hand back spring to gain some distance. "He took up gymnastics during that time. He's married it into quite a unique fight style." The coach turned to face Kameg. "Cub's going to kick both our tails someday. Probably at the same time."

"Speak for yourself mutt." Kameg grinned. "Cads may be formidable, but we've still got a hell of a lot more experience."

"Funny." Thorn smirked. "That's what Master used to say about us."

The falcon's brows furrowed for a moment as he recalled the memory. "Yeah, well, history doesn't always repeat itself."

"True enough." Thorn agreed, his eyes shifted just enough to look at his old friend before returning to the fight. "You look good. Grand Master must have kicked you back into shape."

Kameg chuckled. "Yeah, they all did. Being cloistered away from the world leaves you with lots of time to refine your techniques and meditations." His eyes widened in acknowledgement as Cads spun and landed a powerful back kick to the panda's chest, toppling the larger opponent. "You'll enjoy it when you go."

Thorn's smile was small, but he said nothing. Instead he motioned Cads to the start point of the ring as the panda showed signs of difficulty getting up. After a few more minutes the official called the match in favor of Cads. He watched silently as the bunny shook paws with the panda and made his way down the steps.

"He was crying." Cads frowned as he stood before his teacher. "I only hit him half-power. I didn't want to hurt him."

Thorn nodded as they walked to the team's bench. "I know. You're incredibly fast though. Remember?"

"Yeah, I know." The rabbit nodded as he fished out a water bottle from his bag. "Speed and mass and force and all that."

Pointing to the bench Thorn waited until Cads sat down. "This isn't an art like a drawing class Cads, sometimes furres get hurt in this calling." Thorn crouched to look his student in the eye. "If you only want to learn for the philosophy side and not compete that is also your choice."

The young furre sipped his water as he thought, then his eyes hardened a bit. "If I only practiced for the philosophy...I wouldn't have been able to help my friends at school." Cads grinned. "Sam may have you, but a bunch of furres still don't have anyone to fight for them."

"As long as you know why you make your choices." Thorn smiled as he stood. "Get some air and stay loose. Your final match should be in a half hour or so."

Kameg viewed the exchange from a short distance away before following the canine to another part of the floor. "What was that all about?"

"Cads still has a lot of 'White Knight' in him." Thorn moved through the crowds toward another sparring mat. "Part of the reason he finally forced the issue of coming back to train was due to some bullying problems at school." He chuckled as he saw confusion on Kameg's face. "Cads found some of his classmates were being bullied, several due to their sexuality we later found out. He stood up for them." He pointed to the expanded training hall. "Cads is really the reason behind a lot of this. As more people turned to him for help, he brought them to Sam and I."

Kameg nodded as the pieces began to fall into place. "Guess that explains all the rainbows on all the banners and literature."

"Yep, we were an unofficial safe zone for the community for about a year..." He scratched at his chin. "Maybe year and a half before a local LGBT chapter found out about us and brought us in as a partner." Thorn laughed. "Though, Sam and Turmeric handle most of that side of the business. I just mind the cubs and the day to day stuff."

"Turmeric?" Kameg blinked. "As in, Sam's dad?"

"Yeah." Thorn pointed to a table near the back where a black furred rabbit was directing a team of Furres to various tasks to keep the day running smoothly. "Not long after Cads started training again Turmeric reached out to Sam about mending fences. Somewhere along the way we all started making this place our home away from home."

They walked in silence for a moment before stopping at the side of a ring. Kameg watched the blue jay that wore their school's crest, but he didn't recognize the student. "And Sam's mom?" He asked quietly.

"Sam sends her cards every holiday, but we never hear from her." Thorn's voice was low as well. "From what I understand, the house is very cold when Turmeric goes home at the end of the day." He shook his head and forced a grin. "Since when did you become an investigative journalist? What the hell's going on in your life?"

With a smile Kameg let the conversation be redirected. "Going up for my next best test in six months. "Feel like helping me train?"

"Sure." Thorn smiled. "Boss has gotten pretty good too. He'll be happy to help as well." The wolf talked with his friend and coached his team simultaneously as the competition continued around them until the event was through.

OOOOO

"You've been unusually quiet." Thorn mused as they drove home. "Something on your mind?"

Sam nodded as he looked out the window. "Yeah, something at the competition has been rattling around inside my head."

"Well, there is plenty of space up there." Thorn grunted as Sam punched him in the arm and readied another hit. "Kidding!" Thorn laughed. "Seriously though, anything I can help with?"

"Probably." Sam agreed. "But, I kind of have to wrap my head around it first." His soft smile contrasted the wolf's worried frown. "It's nothing bad." He reached over and smoothed down his lover's fur. "Just...big."

"Ok." Thorn relented after a moment. "Whenever you're ready." A short time later they reached their home, having traded in the apartment just over a year ago for more space.

Sam walked to the mailbox as Thorn grabbed his gear from the trunk of the car. As he unlocked the door Sam glanced at the letters. Most was junk mail, a few bills, but one stood out as he looked at the seal. "I think that letter you were expecting finally arrived." He smiled as Thorn picked up the letter and looked at the return address, but didn't open it. "Go." Sam pushed up to his tiptoes and kissed Thorn on the nose. "I know you've both been waiting for this letter."

The canine attempted to shake his head. "I can go tomorrow..." He movement stopped as Sam held his face between his paws. "You sure?" His smile increased slightly as the rabbit nodded, tail wagging slowly. "Want to come along?"

This time Sam shook his head. "I know you two like to speak in the old tongue. Besides, I have something to think about. Remember?" He turned his head up as Thorn leaned down to kiss him. "Just don't stay out to late. It's supposed to get chilly tonight."

Thorn grinned. "Right." He gave Sam one last quick kiss before making his way down to the car again. "Be back soon."

Sam waited until he could no longer see the car before he move into their home. He walked slowly from room to room as if studying the house anew. After several minutes he still couldn't quite make up his mind over the subject at paw. Returning to the living room he fished his cell phone out of his purse and sent a quick text. While he waited for a response he traveled toward the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. The smile on his face couldn't have been fought even if he wanted to as he spotted the freshly made carrot juice Thorn had prepared for him that morning.

The phone buzzed as he poured himself a glass of the juice, catching his attention. Once back in the living room he tapped one of the pieces of equipment in the TV stand to bring the device online. Stepping back a bit he moved his paws until the camera caught on and made his way to the video chat. The controller would have been faster, but the bunny loved how he could control the screen like he was in a science fiction movie. "Gash!" The sudden appearance of a vulpine face filling the TV screen startled him enough to make him jump backwards and land on the couch. "To close! To close!"

On the screen Val began to laugh as she moved away from the camera and sat down on her own couch. "It's always so much fun to make you jump like that." She grinned. "And at least this way you won't be walking funny after that horse dildo we tried out."

Sam frowned as he sipped his juice and tried to find a comfortable position on the couch. "Maybe you're not the right furre to talk to right now."

"No, no, no, no." Val leaned forward, a hint of pleading in her voice. "C'mon I need new gossip."

"This isn't gossip." Sam's voice softened. "I need to bounce some ideas off you."

"Oh..." Val sat back in her seat again. "Canine troubles? What'd the dumb mutt do this time?"

"He didn't do anything." Sam frowned. "And don't call him a dumb mutt." He took another sip of his juice before continuing. "And this has to stay between us for the time being." Sam knew he was probably being a bit over dramatic, but this could prove to be a sensitive subject. When Val nodded he began to explain his concerns.

OOOOO

Thorn parked the car and walked slowly towards the main building entrance, tucking the letter into his inner jacket pocket as he went. It had always been a bittersweet feeling when he came to this place, and now was no different. Once inside he moved to pick up a small bouquet of flowers, making sure there were a few gladioli within the design, and paid for them. The mouse behind the counter smiled softly at him. Thorn found himself wondering what she would think if she knew why he came here month after month.

The thought was dismissed as quickly as it came when the wolf turned for the door at the rear of the building and stepped back outside. He paused at the large, iron gate, looking over the totems of the feral ancestors stylized through the design. He recalled at first how he had been slightly put off that one for his own tribe had not been present, but later had come to be pleased by that fact. Closing his eyes he tipped his head back and released a long, low howl that carried across the grounds beyond the fence.

It was a short walk to his ultimate destination, he smiled wistfully as he contemplated that it was also the ultimate destination of all creatures. There was no one to greet him, just like every time before, but evidence of a presence could be felt as he viewed as Thorn spotted the small garden patched with freshly over turned dirt and newly planted flowers.

"Guess your mystery guest was here." Thorn smiled as he placed the bouquet amongst the in-ground plants. Even after five years Thorn and Sam had no idea who maintained the site. He touched the headstone gingerly before sitting down before it. "Good to see you again Cara." The wolf greeted in the old tongue as he pulled the letter from his jacket. "You probably know about this already, but I thought I should come tell you all the same."

Using one claw he cut the envelope open and pulled out the generic printed letter. "To whom it may concern." Thorn read aloud, continuing to speak in woven though the letter was printed in the common tongue. "In response to the inquiry you made we, The Department of Corrections, wish to inform you that the Poundmate identified below will not be being released despite his recent parole hearing. We hope this information is sufficient to your request." A heavy sigh escaped him as he looked over the name. "Even though he's locked up...it still doesn't feel right that Terrill is alive while you're gone."

Sitting quietly at the grave Thorn remembered the two weeks after Caragan's attack. The smaller canine had never woken up from his coma. Thorn remembered down to the minute when they'd received the call from the hospital telling them of Cara's passing.

He sat quietly at the grave for several minutes. "It's kind of funny in a way." Thorn at last began, deciding maybe it was time to finally have this conversation after putting it off for so long. "We met you once, for the sum total of maybe a half hour...yet you've become such an important part of our lives." The canine chuckled. "You even got me to go back to the tribe for a little while." Leaning back on his paws Thorn looked to the sky.

"When we realized that no one knew any of your contact information and were headed toward a John-Jane Doe funeral..." He used both genders, as they had never really discussed what Cara's identity was. "It broke Sam's heart. I think he identified with you after all." He brought his gaze back down to the head stone. "He told me how you guys discussed lone wolf status, but I was never actually labeled with it. Not by the tribe anyway. I just lost faith after I lost Salena and left it all behind at the first chance I had." He laughed, though there was sadness to it. "I'm not really sure what my real motivations were. To try and ease Sam's fears? To do right by you? Deal with my own demons about failing a fellow wolf? I really don't know still..."

Thorn shifted around so that he could sit with his back leaning against an adjacent headstone, looking out over the cemetery grounds. "So I went back to the only lead I had about you, the tribe." A chuckle escaped him. "Of course, Sam insisted that he come along." His chuckle grew into an outright laugh. "I wish you could of seen looks on all those wolves faces when a rabbit walked amongst them willingly. Then again, maybe you did."

The wind gusted past, and Thorn allowed himself the fantasy that maybe Cara was laughing too. "It was nice." He admitted softly. "To be back amongst my own kind after so long. I'm sure you get it, the feeling of the community that had been missing. Sam was shocked by the doors that opened for us just because of my birthright while we looked for anyone who knew you." His smile faded. "He knew my exile was self imposed at that point, but said he was sorry I had been forced to leave."

Picking a blade of grass Thorn absentmindedly wound it between his fingers. "We were at a diner getting something to eat at that point, had been in the community for a few days. Sam was still something of a curiosity, but much less so than when we first arrived. To everyone we were just friends helping out a wolf who'd 'lost his way'." A low growl rumbled in his chest. "He had that look on his face, the one where he feels it's his fault for something he had nothing to do with. So I did the only thing I could think of at the time. I told him 'I'm not', and leaned across the table to lick his cheek."

For a moment he would have sworn that he could see Caragan's face with a shocked expression, and started to laugh. "You could hear a fucking pin drop in that restaurant." His laughter increased. "Sam...his expression...oh gods...it was priceless. I've never surprised him so well before or since." He calmed himself a bit. "Then he smiles and kisses me on...on the nose like I'm some feral puppy." Thorn shook his head. "Needless to say, not many would talk to us after that about you. Guess we got lucky during the first few days since we found out much later that you would be coming here."

The wolf quieted again. "So, why tell you all this crap when you probably don't care?" He leaned his head against the cold granite tombstone. "I barely knew you, yet I've made you something of my scapegoat over the past few years, in a good way I suppose but I really don't know if you would have agreed with the way I do things." Thorn focused on the engraved name on the tombstone before him. "I've never said thank you for motivating me to get off my tail. And I've never apologized for placing so many of my burdens on you...for making you my silent martyr." His head bowed low. "Thank you, and I'm sorry, Caragan Kitsune."

After almost a minute Thorn raised his head and stood up. "Just so we're clear, though I apologized I don't think I'm going to be able to change how I do things. I'll make it up to you somehow when we eventually meet on the Eternal Field." He placed the blade of grass he'd been holding on the top of the gravestone. "Until the next, I've got a bunny with things on his mind waiting for me at home." With a smile, and a lighter spirit, the wolves parted ways once more.

OOOOO

"You gods damn, fucking, camping, asshole!"

Thorn blinked as he closed the door to his home. "Ok then..." He hung his coat and walked quietly towards the living room. His grin widened as he took in the sight before him.

"Yeah, keep laughing asshole." Sam grumbled as he doubled back along a different route and equipped some quieter weapons. "I got a headshot with your name on it coming your way." Between his attention on the game and the headset he wore he never heard the wolf sneaking up behind him.

Thorn leaned against the door watching the rabbit play his game, grinning as he did so. Sam lay on his belly atop a pillow with his attention wholly on the screen. For a few brief seconds Thorn once again wondered how the rabbit had no back pains from holding that arched pose for so long, at least until his attention turned to how the love of his life was dressed.

The orange and black-stripped thigh-highs stood out in stark contrast to the few remaining inches of Sam's crème colored fur along his toned legs. The black thong panties nestled firmly into the cleft of ass to separate the two supple spheres of his cheeks and pulled taunt over the small orbs hidden beneath the cloth. The outfit was completed with a black camisole accented with an orange lace pseudo-skirt at the lower end. It was clear that Sam had been shifting around as he played since the frilly skirt had ridden up and bunched at the small of the lapine's back.

"Fuck you!" Sam growled into his headset as an explosion sounded from the screen.

Thorn clapped a paw over his muzzle to keep from laughing as he watched the lithe crossdresser's fur puff up in frustration. There was no doubt in Thorn's mind that Samantha was the persona of choice at the moment and the canine marveled at how well Sam had been able to train his voice. There had been times when both Sam and Thorn had questioned if Sam had fully crossed the "gender line", but no answer had ever really been found. In the end they had decided not to pursue the question since it ultimately did not matter to either.

Pushing the thoughts of the past away Thorn focused on the potentially hot present before him. It wasn't unusual for Sam to go around the home in bra and panties, but the outfit was it bit more than what could be considered casual wear. "Seems a shame to waste it." He mused quietly as he removed his shirt silently, knowing Sam wouldn't be able to hear him with the headset on. A moment later the wolf's pants and boxers puddled to the floor as he stalked silently across the room.

By the time Sam realized what was happening, he was already pinned gently beneath his mate. He looked to each side, seeing the wolf's gray furred arms on either side supporting the larger male from crushing him into the pillow completely. Sam licked his lips in nervous excitement as he felt Thorn's sheath, already firming quickly, grinding into his panty-covered ass. There was a brief thought of speaking out but it left as the wolf leaned down to press his broad chest against Sam's comparatively petite back.

Thorn rested his head just beside Sam's, so that the speaker of the headset was between their ears. "What have I told you about using profanity over my gaming account?" The question was whispered mostly to Sam, but the deep voice carried easily to the microphone just before Sam's muzzle.

"S-sorry..." Sam's voice caught just a little as he felt the tip of Thorn's cock emerge and press into his back.

"You don't sound very apologetic." Thorn continued to tease as he ground against Sam. He pressed his ear against the headset, allowing him to listen to what Sam already heard.

"I'm telling you this chick's getting it on with her boyfriend." A voice spoke through the small speaker.

"No way." Came another voice. "She's just trying to fake us out cause she's losing so bad."

Sam swallowed as he heard the Furres on the other end of the line. "But...but you know how excited I get when I play my games." A groan escaped from him as his own body began to react to Thorn's advances.

"That's no excuse." Thorn pushed his hips against Sam more firmly, grinding his hardening cock against his lover and forcing Sam to grind into the pillow below both of them. "It takes a lot of hard work to get the gamer rep nice and high."

There was laughter from the headset. "Yeah, I'll bet he's giving her some hard work right now."

"Dude, she's faking all of it." The other voice was less certain now.

Sam sighed as Thorn pulled back off him, thinking their game was over. He gripped the controller tightly as his panties were pulled aside and there was no attempt to hide his moan as warm lupine tongue lapped at his tailhole. "Don't...I'm still try-ai! Trying to...plaaay..."

Thorn smiled as he continued to give Sam a thorough tongue lashing while he pushed the smaller male's legs apart. He slipped a paw between Sam and the pillow, grasping Sam's hard cock with an almost to soft grip. "You can still play." Thorn gently squeezed Sam's hard-on, his voice soft just the same as before so that the microphone wouldn't pick him up at this distance. "No one is stopping you from playing your game."

Sam's breath caught and he bit his lip as Thorn stopped talking and returned to licking him out with a passion. "Ng...oh gods..." He tried to focus on the screen but it was becoming harder and harder to do, much like a certain piece of his anatomy. It was not lost on him though that his opponent had stopped shooting at him, nor that the breathing into the mic at the other end had changed significantly. A pleasured yelp startled both sides as Sam felt his balls in Thorn's mouth for a moment before returning to his tailhole. "Yes..." Sam gave in. "Eat my ass...lick my asshole babe."

"Holy shit...this bitch is into anal." Breathed the voice over the headset.

There was a swallowing sound from the other party, along with a faint rhythmic slapping sound. "You think...you think she'll get..."

The first voice groaned. "Elder spirits I hope so..."

Thorn smirked as he felt Sam bucking into his paw. "Is the game no longer keeping your attention?"

"Fuck me..." Sam barely breathed the words into the microphone, but his voice was clearly filled with need.

Thorn shook his head. "I don't know. This was supposed to be punishment for using profanity over the game account after all."

Sam's head fell forward a little as Thorn continued to jerk his cock slowly. "Please...please fuck my ass. I promise I won't curse anymore during my games."

"Damn!" The voice was excited now. "She's begging for it!"

"I hope her boyfriend does it." The other voice was quieter now, almost as needy as Sam's voice seemed to be. "It'd be such a tease to stop now."

Thorn moved his paw away from Sam's groin and moved back up to straddle the rabbit's ass. "As long as you promise not to curse anymore during your games." He gripped his mate's hips and pressed the tip of his own cock against the fleshy pucker. "Ready?"

"Yes, yes." Sam nodded as he tried to push backwards, though his current position gave him no leverage. "Come on...Oh...Fuck!" He continued to moan and grunt as he felt his anal walls stretch to accommodate Thorn's cock.

Thorn leaned over again so that he could listen in on the headset. The sounds of panting and off-timed slapping could be heard. "I think they're jerking off listening to you getting fucked." He egged Sam on as he began to thrust slow and deep against his mate. The wolf chuckled as he felt Sam shiver and clench down on his cock. "But you like that don't you?"

"Uh huh..." Sam nodded between panting breaths. He matched his pace to Thorn's, driving his own cock into the soft pillow below him. His panties were already wet with precum and he could feel the pillow becoming damp as well, turning it slick and slippery.

Thorn licked along Sam's ears, making the little male moan aloud. "Who do you think is going to pop first?" He whispered. "You? Or your audience?" The canine could feel his lover's entire body tremble at the words. "Who's it going to be?" He continued to goad. "Will you're opponents blow their loads first? Or will you cum first with your tight little ass full of my cock?"

"Oh shi..." The second voice trailed of into guttural gibberish, presumably as he climaxed.

Thorn picked up the pace of his thrusts. "One down." He nipped at Sam's neck as he shafted the rabbit's hole. "Bet he's spraying that load all over his chest while he listens to you pant and..."

Sam's body went rigid as the wolf's words and the wolf's cock hit all the right buttons at once. "I'm gonna cum...Oh fuck I'm cumming!" His back arched against Thorn's chest as his balls jumped. Rabbit cum spurted into the stretched panties, staining the fabric into even darker black and orange, before seeping into the pillow. As his cock continued to twitch he heard the groaning of the first voice. "Are you cumming for me?"

"Oh yeah baby." It was almost possible to hear the grin through the speaker's voice. "There's a thick heavy load all over my belly cause of you."

Sam smiled as he lay back down on the pillow, spent. "I glad..."

Thorn smiled as well as he lay atop the rabbit, kissing him softly. After a moment he pulled the headset from the rabbit and put it on his own head. "My mate's a bit indisposed, she'll have to finish your match another time."

"She can have the points for this one. You one lucky bastard."

"You have no idea." Thorn laughed as the notice for someone leaving the field came up on the television screen. Just before he logged off he noticed two new friend requests as well. "Seems you have some new followers."

Sam giggled as he craned his neck back so he could kiss the wolf, they almost always had new friend requests when they did something like this. "Like that's really a surprise with our little shenanigans?" He moved with his mate as Thorn rolled carefully to the floor and pulled out of Sam's rear, spooning back against the big male. "Aww...my pillow is all cum covered now. I'm going to have to do laundry before bed tonight."

"Just use the other side." Thorn chuckled as Sam reached back and swatted his leg playfully. "Ok, fine, you can use my pillow."

"Maybe I'll just use you as my pillow." Sam ground back against the wolf's still hard cock.

"I can work with that." Thorn kissed Sam's shoulder and traced up to the back of his neck. "Given what just happened I think you planned that all along anyway."

The bunny lifted his head to allow Thorn to kiss his way down to the other shoulder against the floor. "Not exactly." His soft laugh echoed in the room as he felt the wolf pause his kisses. "I did plan for something, but not for this."

"You got lost in your game right?" A gray furred arm wrapped over the smaller male, rubbing gently yet seductively through Sam's belly fur. "What did you have planned out?"

Sam looked back over his shoulder coyly, the barest hint of an impish smile forming on his lips. "Take me to bed and maybe I'll show you." He wiggled his bottom against Thorn's erection, knowing full well the wolf hadn't climaxed before.

"And now I'm curious." Thorn pushed off the floor and stood before taking Sam's paw to hoist him up as well. With barely a moment of hesitation Sam jumped and the wolf caught him by placing his paws under Sam's cute tail end, smirking as Sam's legs wrapped around his body. "And what's to stop me from taking you right here?"

Sam pressed his chest against Thorn's and wrapped his arms around the big male's neck. "Your curiosity." He whispered. "Now hurry up." A happy hum came from low in his throat as he was carried toward the bedroom. His cock beginning to harden again as he felt Thorn's maleness poking at his bottom with every step. Sam shook his head as Thorn tried to place the rabbit down onto the bed when they arrived. "I get the top this time."

Thorn didn't complain as he turned about to sit on the bed so he could keep Sam in his lap. His paws roamed over Sam's body as they kissed. Any thoughts that Sam might be docile after their little show downstairs were banished as they rabbit pushed him down into the bedding.

Sam's grin could have easily matched any carnivorous predator as he slid his way down Thorn's body, lingering as their cocks brushed against one another. The bed frame creaked ever so slightly as Sam knelt to the floor at the side of the bed between Thorn's legs. He brushed his head fur back with one paw, in that casual way that's anything but casual, while the other circled about the base of the canine cock standing before him.

Propping himself up on his elbows Thorn watched as Sam's mouth slid down around his length, at least until his eyes rolled back in his head and a groan filled the room. His eyes remained closed as he felt Sam's paw cup his heavy sac and roll his balls lovingly. A few minutes passed with only Thorn's groans and Sam's labored breathing passing between them. "So, I guess you decided about whatever you were thinking about earlier?" He laughed as Sam stopped stock-still and opened his eyes to see the bunny staring at him with a muzzle full of wolf cock. "You forget how well we know one another. What happened down stairs was horny exhibitionist sex, this is 'Sam wants something and is trying to butter me up' sex."

After sliding off Thorn's dick with a wet pop, Sam pouted cutely as he laid his head on Thorn's thigh while he continued to jack the wolf. "But it always works so well."

"Cause I say 'no' to you so very often anyway." Thorn chided in much the same tone as Sam. His expression turned a bit more serious as he reached down to take Sam's paw away from his crotch. "And you're not usually all pensive before hand." The wolf motioned for his mate to join him on the bed. "What's up?"

Sam climbed back up on the bed and lay beside the wolf holding his head up with his paw. "You're going to think I'm being dumb..."

"Never."

The lapine smiled, but there was a hint of worry still. "It has to do with family." At the wolf's concerned expression Sam clarified. "Not my family." Sam had to fight not to laugh as Thorn's ears splayed back. "Not your pack either." Reaching out he took Thorn's paw and intertwined their digits. "Our family, our pack..."

The wheels began to spin and Thorn's ears shot upright. "Sam..." He asked quietly. "Are you asking me to knock you up?"

Sam growled playfully and jumped so that he was straddling his mate. "Why'd you have to make it about me being girly?"

"As you grind against my cock wearing cum filled panties?" Thorn asked as if it was obvious. "Are you though?"

"I've been thinking about it for a while." Sam nodded, his tone softer again. "And when Kameg saw me with Marjory today..."

Thorn squeezed Sam's paw as he saw hints of blush through the white cheek fur. "Do I need to kick Kameg's tail feathers? Cause I can do it easily now that he's back."

Sam giggled, knowing the wolf was joking. "He said I looked good with a fledgling on my hip." He locked eyes with Thorn. "I know we both have more then our fair share of losses when it comes to family but..."

"I think karma owes us a win here." Thorn agreed. "It's going to be a real up hill battle for us."

"I know." Sam bent forward to kiss the wolf under him. "Good think neither of us back down from fights anymore."

"All right then." Thorn picked his head up to kiss Sam again. "Let's have a pup." A mischievous expression filled the canine's features as he reached down and took firm hold of his lover's ass cheeks. "After all the most fun part of a cub is making them."

Sam cooed as Thorn began to massage his butt. "I'm pretty sure we're missing some of the proper equipment here." He grunted as he felt strong paws spread his cheeks apart. "S-still, if you fill me up with enough cum...wh-who knows what could hap-pen." Shifting as much as Thorn's grip would allow Sam was able to reach to the nightstand and grabbed the bottle of lube they kept inside. "Let's do it right this time."

Thorn allowed Sam to drizzle the slippery liquid onto his paw and soon after began to finger Sam's ass. Contented growls joined Sam's gasps as the rabbit smeared the gel-like fluid over his cock, likewise preparing him. "Easy..."

Sam nodded and let the bottle fall to the unused areas of the bed. "I know..." Scooting back Sam placed the tip of Thorn's cock at his entrance and waited for Thorn to remove his digits. After being blue-balled twice he knew Thorn wouldn't be able to last as long as normal, but he didn't mind too much since he'd had some fun earlier.

Thorn's hips lifted off the bed as Sam pushed down, both males grunting in pleasure as they did so. "Gods you're so hot. That little show really revved you up didn't it?"

"Yep." Sam panted as he began to bounce faster on Thorn's dick. Despite cumming earlier, or perhaps due to the renewed battering of his prostate, Sam felt another orgasm approaching. "Thanks again for b-buying that system."

Thorn groaned as Sam squeezed his anal muscles tightly about his shaft. "Of course." Curling his back he licked at Sam's nipples through the camisole. "By the way..." He took one paw away from Sam's hips and captured the bouncing bunny cock that had been slapping between their stomachs. "How com you've never asked about using the camera?"

Sam flushed hotly with desire at the idea. "It's not li..." He yelped loudly as Thorn teased his cock with his lubricated paw. "I've thought about it..."

"Only thought?" Thorn jerked Sam's cock in time with the thrusting into Sam's rear passage. He was almost to the brink, the conversation quickly took a backseat to more pressing matters. "Sam..."

"Me too." Sam cupped the wolf's face and kissed his lover deeply. "Do it. Plug me up with that knot like a bitch ready for puppies."

Thorn blinked at the words, surprised at how into the moment Sam was. "You want those pups bad don't you?" The wolf moved the paw on Sam's hip slightly and pushed the bunny down as he thrust his own hips up.

"Oh!" Sam's moan filled the house as the large canine knot forced it's way through his tight sphincter. Deep within his body that mass of pleasurable nerve fiber took one last strong poke and sent the bunny into a twitching climax. Looking down he could see Thorn's face scrunched up tightly in his own orgasm, even as Sam felt the wolf seed spraying against his anal walls. Bunny cum shot over the wolf's belly and chest, settling thickly into the fur.

They trembled in the afterglow unmoving for almost a minute before Sam fell forward onto the wolf's chest. Thorn reached around and embraced the little male tightly. "You howled again." He teased lightly.

"Been hanging around you to long." Sam shot back with a grin. "And yes, I do want a kit to answer your question." He rested his head on the canine's chest, looking up into his eyes. "Think you're up for the challenge, my typical male?"

"I am if you are, my cross dresser." Thorn kissed the top of Sam's head with a chuckle. "I just have one question."

"No, I am not going to be 'Mommy'."

Thorn laughed loudly. "Not what I was going to ask, but good to know."

Sam's ears flattened back a little bit. "Then what were you going to ask?"

"How long were you on the phone with Val before you decided to talk with me about this?" He hugged the rabbit as he saw Sam's eyes go wide.

"I'll have you know I was not on the phone with her at all." Sam turned his face away, hiding his features in Thorn's chest fur. "I video chatted her..." He admitted softly. As he heard Thorn chuckling Sam began to giggle. Soon both were laughing in earnest. Filling the house once again with sound, heralds of the laughter that would be gained in the years to come.

Gain and Loss : Concluded

OOOOO

After Word

I feel I may as well address this to the readers in general since I've gotten several questions in similar veins. In no particular order;

No, I am not dead.

Whys did I vanish? As a wise baboon once said, "It does not matter, it's in the past!"

No, I am not estranged from my family. I get along well with ninety-five percent of them (Including extended), four percent I never see, and one percent I will kill when the time is right for what they have put my family through.

The characters are loosely based on facets of my personality. The exception to this is that I will occasionally look at friends/family as achetypes or minor details, but for the most part its me or entirely fictional.

I began writing this story as a means of self exploration, think along the lines of any type of Zen/meditation/visualization class only using a writing format to go back and evaluate later rather than relying on memory. At some point the story and the characters took on lives of their own and I grew quite attached to them. It's incredibly nice to know others have gotten somewhat attached to them as well. Some might continue on the journey with me in other stories, at least one will not. They've helped me grow, as has reader feedback, though I still feel there is much more to learn.

I had a blast writing this story. I hope you all enjoyed as well, in all senses of the word, and hope any writings in the future will be similarly well met.

'Till the next, live well all.
