In My Wildest Dreams Ch. 19 Wrestling With Ethics
#23 of In My Wildest Dreams
"I'd like to thank the County All Sports Committee for the great honor of being selected as the Master of Ceremonies for this banquet. It's been a great year for our county and we would like to acknowledge all the athletes that have made this year so memorable. So without further ado, I would like to start acknowledging all the lettermen from each sport. We will start with the fall sports and chronologically work our way through the sporting year. The first sport we will acknowledge is golf." Joe then went on to call up every letterman from all the golf teams in the county along with the coach of that team. There were many athletes that were lettermen that didn't attend, but each that was in attendance came up and received a small medal. If they had any special accomplishment like being selected All County or making an All Star team Joe brought it up then. Since Joe was introducing the schools in alphabetical order, the teams from United Furs High School were introduced last. Each pup got a nice round of applause as they came up to get their medal and then there was a final acknowledgement for the whole team.
Cross Country was the second sport to be acknowledged. Joey got called up as his team's captain when they were introduced and we all clapped for him. Finally it was United Furs turn and Joe introduced Coach Socrates and then called me up to the stage. As I was walking up to the stage he commented that I had finished the dual meet season undefeated, won the district championship and placed second at the state meet. I was a bit embarrassed since it seemed like I got a bigger ovation than anyone introduced so far. As Joe shook my paw, he grinned and winked at me when he handed me my medal. I'm not sure what that was all about but I smiled back and accepted the medal. I was also the only one on our Cross Country team to get a letter since the rest of the team had been so abysmal. They had the group acknowledgement and we made our way back to our seats.
I took a look at the small medal, not really much to look at after some of the medals I had won at district and at state. I passed it around the table for the rest of the pack to see as Joe started announcing the football lettermen. It took a while to get the football, wrestling and basketball teams' lettermen introduced but we finally got to Track and Field. He introduced several teams then he came to the Spartans who had won the state title. He congratulated them on winning the state title and then called each of them up. Quite a few of them had placed at the state meet and their high hurdler had won the state championship in that event.
There were a few other teams acknowledged, and then our team was finally called up to the stage. There were quite a few pups that lettered for us this year, but "The Pack" members were the only ones that qualified for state. As such Joe had saved them for last. First he introduced Chuck and Ron and how they were members of the 2 mile relay team that placed third at State. Next up was Jimmy and his accomplishments of being on the 2 mile relay team and taking eighth place at State in the Mile. Gordon was called up and Joe seemed to take special pleasure in announcing that Gordon had also been a member of the 2 mile relay team and had placed eighth in the two mile run. I was the final athlete called up, and as I was walking up to the stage Joe mentioned that was the district champion in the mile and the two mile, was on the third place two mile relay team, was second in the mile and the State Champion in the two mile. I was kind of surprised that he didn't mention that I was named MVP at the State Championships but I was already getting the biggest ovation of the night so I didn't think too much about it. There was another round of applause for all the track lettermen and we filed down from the stage.
The Baseball lettermen were the last to be announced and after that was finished I figured that the banquet was over, but after they filed down off of the stage Joe continued. "Well now that we have acknowledged all the lettermen it is time to get to the special awards." He said as he pointed to a stack of envelopes on his podium as an assistant wheeled up a cart with plaques and two large trophies on it. He picked up the first envelop and plaque and announced the name of the pup that was the county MVP in Golf. A handsome senior borzoi came up to receive the award. Once he was up on the stage Joe announced what tournaments he had won and placed in that year. He posed with Joe and his Coach as pictures were taken and he received a big round of applause as he came off the stage.
Joe picked up the second envelop and plaque and said, "This award is for the MVP in Cross Country." He opened the envelope and added, "The winner is Adam of United Furs High School!" I walked the few steps from our table to the stage and Joe shook my paw then handed me the plaque. "Adam was undefeated in dual meets, won the district championship and was runner up at the state meet in one of the closest races in meet history." I walked up to get my award to what seemed like the largest ovation of the evening so far. As I was walking up Joe called Coach Socrates up to the Dais also. He handed me the plaque and on one side of me while Coach Socrates stood on the other for the picture.
I returned to my seat to more applause and passed my Plaque around the table for everyone to look at as Joe called the quarterback from Tellico High School up to the stage to receive the Football MVP Plaque. The Basketball MVP and the remainder of the winter sports followed then Joe announced, "The next award is for MVP in Track and Field. There were a lot of great athletes in our county in Track and Field. We had a team win the state championship and another come in fourth so there were so many deserving athletes." He opened the envelope and read, "The winner is Adam of United Furs High School!" I wasn't surprised this time, I mean I was the MVP of the state meet so I figured I would win this one. As I walked to the dais Joe continued. "Adam was undefeated in the mile and two mile runs this year in dual meet competition, and won both of these events at the district championships, then at the state meet he was the anchor leg of the two mile relay team that placed third, was second place in almost a photo finish in the mile and won the two mile run. For his efforts he was rewarded with the Most Valuable Performer at the State Championship Meet." At that point I reached the stage and shook Joe's paw as he handed me the Plaque. Coach Socrates was already at the Dias and the dog from the newspaper posed us and snapped a picture. I returned to my seat, barely noticing the applause.
The Baseball MVP got his moment in the spotlight then Joe said, "We're almost done, just two more special awards to go. He picked up one of the two trophies and placed it on the Podium, then grabbed one of the remaining envelopes. "This award is for the Best TEAM in the county." He said as he broke the wax seal and opened the envelope. "And the winner is... The Spartan Track and Field team, the only team in the county to win a State championship this year! Can Coach Blake and all the lettermen from the Spartans please come up to the stage."
There was a large cheer as the Spartans filed up to the stage. When they got lined up across the stage Joe grabbed the trophy and walked up to Coach Blake who was at the center of his team. He handed the trophy to Coach Blake and said, "Congratulations on a fantastic year!" The photographer snapped the picture and then Joe handed the microphone to Coach Blake.
"Thanks Joe! It's been a wonderful year for our team. The seniors worked hard for 4 years to get to this point. I'm really proud of them! We were a senior dominated team and I'm going to miss these guys next year." Coach Blake said to thunderous applause for his team. They then filed back to their seats.
As Joe waited for the applause to die down, he picked up the final trophy and set it on the podium. "And now for the final award of the evening... This is the trophy for the Athlete of the Year... He said dragging it out dramatically. He broke the seal on the envelope and pulled out the paper. "This pup is only a Sophomore but was a star in two sports, in fact he was the MVP in two sports... He was state runner up in cross country, and had a first, second and third place at the state meet in Track and Field and was the Most Valuable Performer at the state meet in Track and Field. Adam from United Furs High School!"
I started the short walk to the stage and by the time I got there Coach Socrates was already up on the stage with Joe, beaming at me. Joe handed me the big trophy and we all posed for the photo. Coach Socrates asked Joe for the microphone and addressed the crowd. "It's been a joy coaching Adam, but there is someone else who deserves more of the credit than I do. Coach Bart, my assistant track coach is the coach for our runners. He is the one who taught Adam the great running form he has these days. So Coach Bart please come up to the stage."
Coach Bart got up from the table and came up on the stage. Coach Socrates continued, "I've been coaching the Track team for 38 years and I took the position of Cross Country Coach because there wasn't anyone else qualified to be the coach. I'm getting too old to coach two sports." He said with a grin and a wink. "But now there is someone more qualified to take over, so I'm stepping down. And it's with great pleasure that I'm passing the baton to Coach Bart!"
I was shocked, I probably stood on the stage for a moment with my muzzle hanging open. I really liked Coach Socrates, but he was not as good of a running coach as Coach Bart was. Plus now I would be spending more time with him in the fall. That also explained why he had been letting us into the field house to work out on the weights. I was only vaguely aware of the ovation that the crowd gave Coach Bart until I was brought back to my senses by "The Pack" starting a Group Howl for Coach Bart. I couldn't help but join in. Coach Bart chuckled a little when we broke into the excited yips at the end, but you could tell he was a little embarrassed.
When the Group Howl finished up Joe took the Microphone and said to the crowd, "Well that concludes the First Annual County All Sports Award Banquet. I'd like to thank all of you for coming." Some of the dogs got up and headed for the door, but many remained seated or were milling around talking to athletes from the other schools. Joe came over and hugged me and said, "I've been so proud of you this year Adam."
I didn't really know how to respond to that, I just blushed under my fur and said, "Thanks Joe, Your support has meant a lot to me this year."
"I guess that makes me an athletic supporter." He said raising his bushy eyebrows in a gesture of mock surprise. I playfully punched him in the shoulder for the bad pun and then I picked up my trophy and Coach Bart and I made our way off of the stage. We walked back to our table where everybody was still waiting for us. Gordon's Mom hugged me and the rest all congratulated me for winning Athlete of the Year, which still hadn't sunk in to me yet.
A few of the other runners from other schools stopped by the table to congratulate me when Arnie the cop walked up with his son in tow. "Way to go Adam! We're all proud of you down at the station. This is my son Ted. He's a Junior this year." He said introducing us. He was a handsome young GSD, who smiled and shook my paw. To my surprise he looked a little intimidated by me, like I was some sort of celebrity.
"Nice to meet you Ted." I said but he wouldn't meet my eyes.
The hall was emptying out so Coach grabbed my Plaques, I grabbed the trophy and we started to file out. We said our goodbyes to everyone on the way out to the car. Gordon was obviously concerned about me staying at coaches house overnight. I was almost worried that he was going to start crying. But we said our goodbyes without incident. Coach Bart gave the finally found a valet to give our parking ticket to and soon he was back with the car. Coach Bart tipped the Valet then popped the trunk so we could put the Trophy and Plaques in it for the ride home and we both hopped in the car.
As we drove home Coach turned on the radio, then cranked it up a little. He turned on the local rock station and to my surprise he started singing along with the song. To my surprise he was a pretty good singer, which I mentioned.
"I never sing in front of anybody, but somehow I didn't feel embarrassed singing in front of you." Coach said after the song was over. "Why don't you join in on the next one?"
I agreed and the next song that came on was a ballad that we both hammed it up to. We sang along with the radio the whole way home and had a blast doing it. I was almost disappointed when we pulled into Coach's garage. I grabbed my overnight bag off of the backseat while coach went to the trunk and grabbed my trophy and plaques as the automatic door closed to the garage. We walked into the kitchen and Coach set the trophy down on the table. Then he walked me to his guest room. It was a small room with a single bed in it, but it had its own bathroom with a shower in it. I sat my overnight bag down on the bed.
"Why don't you take a shower and put your sleeping clothes on then meet me in the living-room. There are some hangers in the closet to hang your suit up on." Coach suggested.
I nodded, then as I was unpacking my stuff coach headed to his room to change and shower too. I carefully hung up Gordon's dad's beautiful suit, got the rest of the way undressed and hopped into the shower. Coach didn't have one of the high speed dryers, which was not surprising since he was a short haired dog, so I had to use a hand held blow dryer to dry my furnishings. That took a while so it wasn't surprising that Coach was already done and waiting on the couch for me. I was surprised to see what he had playing on the TV. It was a video of the state meet that one of the public broadcast networks had aired and Coach had taped. VCR's were kinda new, so we couldn't afford one at our house.
I sat down next to him just in time for the start of the first event, the Two Mile Relay. When I finally got the baton and started running I realized that I had never seen myself run before. For the first time I realized that I really did have impeccable running form and I owed that to Coach Bart. When the race was over I asked, "When did you know that you were gonna be the new Cross Country Coach?"
"Socs suggested it about half way through the season. I've really got you and the rest of 'The Pack' to thank. Socs saw that I was able to do a good enough job with you runners that he finally felt comfortable stepping down as Cross Country coach."
"Why didn't you tell me you were gonna be our new coach?" I said punching him playfully in the shoulder.
"We wanted it to be a surprise. Besides we thought the banquet would be the perfect place to let the cat out of the bag. Hopefully you're not too disappointed that I'm gonna be the coach instead of Socs?" He added, his voice tinged with a little insecurity.
I put a finger under my muzzle like it was a really hard decision. "Hmm... I don't know... I'm gonna have to think about that..."
Now it was his turn to punch me in the shoulder. "You impudent whelp! See if I ever take you to the awards banquet again." He shot back at me, then laughed immoderately.
"Thanks for taking me Coach. I had a great time, even though it was a little embarrassing..." I said as I buried my muzzle into his chest.
"What was embarrassing?"
"All the awards that I walked away with." I replied. "It made me feel like I was hogging them all."
"No! You weren't hogging them all, you earned them all! "In Cross Country you were second at state. Nobody from this county beat you all year. That MVP award was a no brainer. You were undefeated all year in the Two Mile, and only lost once in the mile at State. You were the MVP of the State meet. Who else could they give it to? And as far as the Athlete of the Year award, you were the County MVP in TWO sports, who else could they give it to?"
"I guess you're right... Coach can I leave my plaques and trophy at your house?"
"Why would you want to do that. Wouldn't you want them at home so you can show them off?"
"I'm sure they'd get destroyed the first time that Wilbur goes into a drunken rage." I said rolling my eyes, "Which probably means tomorrow."
"But why would he want to trash your trophies?" He replied incredulously.
"Because he is jealous of how successful I've been... It drives him crazy."
"Did he mess with your State MVP trophy?" He asked.
"I never brought that one home, I left it at Gordon's house. I made the mistake of bringing home the small trophies for winning the mile and two mile at the District Championships. They only lasted two days before I found them busted up in the trash."
"That fucking mongrel!" He barked in anger, his hackles raised, a deep rumbling growl forming deep in his chest.
"I'm sorry Coach, I shouldn't have brought it up. It's just the way things are at my house and I've got to be the one to deal with it. It's better to accept that's the way things are instead just not recognizing the facts. He's not going to change, and bringing these home would just give him more to focus his jealousy on..."
Coach pulled me to him protectively, which was what I craved more than anything. My big, strong, protective hero holding me close to shelter me from the world. I could tell he was REALLY riled up because he was emitting protective pheromones so potent that even the most effective scent masking sprays wouldn't have hidden them. Damn, this is what I really craved. I melted into his chest, my head resting over his thumping heart. I realized I was emitting submissive pheromones, which caused him to hold me even more possessively.
"Adam, if you ever need someone to talk to, you can always come to me."
I wanted to tell him that I needed to do more than talk to him. But what came out was just, "Thanks Coach." He held me for a while, until they were ready to start the mile run on TV and we both watched as I barely got beat. Even though I only took second, I was really proud of that race. I had given it everything I had and almost beat a really good senior runner for the title. "It's kind of funny, but I really don't feel bad about taking second in this race, but I felt terrible about coming in second at the state cross country meet."
"You shouldn't feel bad about either. I couldn't have been prouder of you at either of them if you were my own son."
"I guess it's because in the mile I gave it all that I had, but the other pup beat me fair and square. He was just a little better than I was on that day. But in cross country I knew I was better than the Shorthair and he beat me by taking advantage of my inexperience."
"But that's how you get experience. You showed a ton of heart in that race by not giving up... And you almost won..." He said tightening his hug protectively again. "I'm gonna do everything I can as coach this fall to make sure you win the State title in Cross Country. I KNOW you're the best runner in all of Pennsyltucky."
How different he was from Wilbur. Wilbur gloated for a week that I had taken second, especially when the news paper told how I had got "boxed in" in the woods and just came up short. He laughed and told all his cop friends how stupid I was and how much of a loser I was. He regularly brought it up all winter and spring whenever the opportunity arose. His favorite barb to hit me with was, "I don't know why you bother training, you can't even beat that stupid Shorthair." Fortunately since I kicked the Shorthair's ass at state he can't really use that one anymore.
Coach Bart REALLY believed in me, and I realized how much that meant to me. I wished that I could give myself to him. What I wouldn't give to feel him on top of me, urgently thrusting that huge doghood deep into me, then knotting with me and marking me with his seed. That big strong dog taking me and showing me just how much he wanted me to belong to him and only him... Just thinking of that gave me a boner that wouldn't quit, tenting my shorts. But I didn't try to hide it, maybe it would give Coach ideas about what I really needed.
He glanced down at it and chuckled, "Aah... To be 16 again and get a boner every 15 minutes..."
But I could see him tenting under his robe too, so I replied, "And what's the excuse for an old codger like you getting one then?''
"Just the natural reaction to watching a handsome pup get excited." He replied then put me in a head lock and gave me a Dutch rub. I pushed him over and we started wrestling on the couch, when spilled over to the floor. Just like it had at the hotel at the state cross country meet.
My advantage of surprise had me on top at first, but it didn't seem like Coach was using all his strength to overpower me and end it. We were writhing against each other, I could feel his massive boner against my thigh and mine was pressing against his abs. I was about to blow my load, but I turned my body so I wasn't rubbing against him anymore as I tried to go for a head lock. I managed to get him in a nice headlock, but when I turned my body away from him, that left his cock nestled between my cheeks. I took advantage of the situation by wiggling my ass on that massive cock that for so long had been in my dreams.
Why did I have to still have my gym shorts on. If I was naked I could have "accidentally" slid down his big boner impaling myself on it. I could feel him squirm and try to turn away before he blew his load and I used the distraction to turn him over and hold his paws over his head. Which left us grinding our already ready to explode cocks grinding together. And before we knew it we were both cumming copiously, me in my shorts and Coach blasting a huge load between us since his robe had opened and he wasn't wearing anything underneath. I collapsed on top of him. There was no stopping it now, as we continued to cum we continued to grind against each other. Our knots were fully formed and instinctively we rubbed the bases together drawing every last drop from our balls.
When we were finished I lay on top of him, each of us panting from the exertion and the exhilaration of our release. But after a few moments Coach regained his composure and managed to say between bouts of gasping for breath. "I'm sorry Adam! I should have had more control than that."
"Relax Coach. It was just a little wrestling. Just a little friction that set us off." WHY THE FUCK did I say that? Here was my chance to bring things to a head and I blew it.
"You're right. I think we were just a little pent up and needed some release..."
All I could think was, "No that's NOT all it was! I need you!" But all that came out was, "Yeah, I think were both just horndogs. Like you said about 16 year old pups getting hard every 15 minutes..."
"Maybe we ought to both head to a bathroom and get cleaned up a bit." He suggested.
I wanted to reply, "Why don't we shower together?" Instead I said, "Yeah we need to get this cleaned up before it gets sticky." He went to the bathroom in the master bedroom and I headed to the one in the guest bedroom. I stopped by my bed and put my shorts which were full of spooge in a mesh bag I had brought to put my dirty clothes in. I heard the shower turn on in the master bath, but I sure as hell was not going to waste what little opportunity I had left. Coach had shot his spooge all over my belly and chest feathering and I used the opportunity to lick all of his seed out of my furnishings. You have no idea what it is like to taste the spooge of such a big dominant alpha stud. Just like in my fantasies it was a tiny bit bitter, but the dominance pheromones were just overpowering. Even just licking them had me whimpering like a submissive pup. What I wouldn't give to take them directly from the tap. When I could get no more from my fur I reluctantly hopped in the shower and quickly washed the rest of the way off, dried and blow dried my furnishings, then headed back into the guest room. I grabbed a pair of boxers to wear when I noticed my shorts were no longer in the dirty clothes bag. I put my boxers on and headed back out to the living room where Coach was waiting on the couch, the VCR on pause.
"I put your shorts in the washer for a quick cycle so they don't stain." He said sheepishly.
I leaned over toward him and noticed that I could smell traces of my spooge on his muzzle. I grinned and he knew he was busted. I was sure he had sucked the cum out of my shorts before throwing them in the washer. I wondered if he enjoyed my cum anywhere near as much as I enjoyed his. He turned the VCR back on and we continued watching the meet a little bit more subdued now that we had both blown our loads.
We really paid attention when the two mile came on. I couldn't believe how strong I looked running that race. My form was perfect and I looked so powerful and fluid as I made my way effortlessly around the track. I got a big kick out of watching the Shorthair struggle and then collapse, especially the look on his face when Gordon passed him down the stretch. I actually laughed out loud when I saw it in the video.
"So you get a big kick out of that, do you?" Coach chuckled, a mischievous smile on his muzzle.
"HELL YEAH! I gloated. "That smug bastard bragged all season how he was gonna kick my ass, and I toasted him! Watching him crash and burn was almost as satisfying as winning the championship."
Coach put his arm around me and pulled me tight to him. "I'm so glad I'm gonna get to Coach you in Cross Country this fall. I think if the pack works hard this summer, we can win the team championship at state too."
I leaned into him, melting in his protective embrace. The tape was still running but I don't think either of us was paying any attention to it. We just sorta eased our way down to the couch, my back pressed against his chest. He was just holding me protectively and possessively, but there was nothing sexual about it. Just a big alpha dog holding a pup that he cared about... More like a father than a lover... A father that I hadn't had in years, since my folks got divorced... And that was the last thing I remembered before I fell asleep in his strong embrace...
