The Great Escape
This is an introduction to a new story I will hopefully be starting beginning in the new year. My other story series will continue in due time, I felt though that I needed a change of pace to reflect emotions and feelings I'm going through as of this moment.
As I finished putting my socks on, I heard my doorbell chime. "I'll be there in just a second!" I exclaimed as I finished tying laces thin, weathered laces on my jet, black Chucks. As soon as I complete the task of putting on my shoes, I sprinted to the door, all too eager to meet my guest with my tail wagging rapidly behind my frame. My legs used every muscle inside them to stop my momentum as I reached the heavy walnut entrance. I took a moment to gain my composure and quench my excitement before placing my large paw on the handle and giving it a slow turn.

I couldn't help but grin warmly as his sapphire eyes come into my gaze. Without another moments hesitation, we pulled each other into a passionate embrace, the heat from both our bodies emanating against one another as we close our eyes in unison, taking the in the loving contact between us. "I've missed you so much" he whispered softly into my ear, his melodic and beautiful voice stirring emotions deep within myself. I pulled away slowly to face him, noticing he too had tears forming in his now sparkling eyes. I pulled him back into my chest tightly, no words were needed to express our emotions.
