Hello everyone! This is the first chapter in an anthro story I'm currently working on! Please send me a message with what you think of it! I'd love some reviews!

The world. 7 continents. 7 billion people sauntering around and somehow you managed to end up with the new kid stuffed in your locker on the first day of the new year. It didn't help that you looked like the type to do it. Big, strong, and different. It amazed you that you were the only lion in your whole school, it amazed you even more so that you were the only kid with dreads, which were styled up into a traditional mane. Washington was way too different than New York. You also happen to have the principle, a large bull that was all too soft in the middle and held a particular distaste for you, right over your shoulder and snickering. Your name is Javandre Lorden and you hate your school. Being a lion meant you had some expectations to live up to, mainly born from hearsay. Loud, proud, and arrogant. You'd think not doing that sort of shit would mean people could relate to you, not ostracize you for being "not so lion like". But whatever. You've got your friends and that's all that matters. So there you sat, arms crossed and an ever passive expression on your face, belying your stark yellow eyes, and the new girl, Mary you think her name was, sat fidgeting next to you as the principle sat at his desk tapping his pen. "Javandre...what did Mary ever do to you?" He asked a shit eating grin on his fluffy pink lips. "Nothing bu-" You tried to get out before being interrupted "So why'd you stuff her in YOUR locker?" He accused. "Look it was-" You were interrupted again, this time by Mary. She was a small sheep, a little on the chubby side, and soft spoken but in that sort of way that makes other people quiet down just to hear her. "I-it wasn't him...it was some other girls, sir..." She spoke gently, her ears flopping down. You noticed she had a small gold ring through her ear. Huh, she really didn't seem the type to have a piercing. "Oh, I see..." The principle almost growled out. "...Well, we can talk about who's parents I need to call later. You two just get home. Dismissed." He waved us out. You stood up, grabbing your backpack in one motion and were out of his office faster than someone your size should be able to move. You kind of wondered if wearing rasta colors is what made him hate you. He seemed like the type to really hate smokers. You don't even smoke that's the fucked up part, you just really like red, yellow, green, and black. You noticed a scrambling behind you, the sheep girl following in your tracks, her short 5"2 frame overshadowed by your large 6"3 form. You stop walking and take a seat at the little bench near the bus lane. You look at your phone. 3:15PM. He kept you there just long enough for all the buses to leave. Goddamn do you hate that guy. Out of the corner of your eye you can see Mary sat on the complete opposite end of the bench. You sat in awkward silence for about a minute before speaking up. "So...how are you getting home...uh... Mary right?" You asked her. "W-walking..." She whispered out. If she was walking home, why was she sitting down next to you? You would feel kind of bad if you made her walk home alone. Shit, getting stuffed into a locker your first day of school probably wasn't doing her wonders in the confidence area. "Cool, if you don't mind, I could walk you home. I promise not everyone at this school is as bad as the bitches that put you in my locker." You said standing up, zipping up your jet black hoodie that hung down onto your old baggy jeans, heels torn from you walking on them so much. Mary nodded and moved quickly to your side, standing there for a moment, then realizing she actually had to show you the way. The two of you walked for about 15 minutes, along the way having some decent, albeit awkward, small talk and passing the group of girls who put her into the locker. They were a group of 3, all foxes. In the literal sense only, to be honest they wore too much makeup and dressed barely within the dress code. As you passed them you noticed Mary gently gripped your hand and held it. You didn't really mind it and it was cute enough to bring a smile to your face. You walked her up to her door and she stopped holding your hand. She sort of stood there for a second. "Um...so this is your house huh...maybe I could come over some time and we can hang out?" You asked eying her very average home, with a not so average back yard. God it was massive. "Y-yeah...that sounds nice. Um...thanks for walking me home. I'll send you a friend request on Facebook later...if um...if that's okay." She looked up at you expecting permission to request to be your online friend. As you contemplated how goddamn silly that was, you noticed how blue her eyes were. You sort of stared into them before answering. "Yeah...yeah that sounds good. Alright, I'll talk to you later tonight. Bye, Mary." You spoke turning around and making your way to your home. You made sure she actually got inside before continuing the rest of the way. It'd be pretty lame if you just left her standing at a house she was locked out of. As you walked the path to your home, which must be at least 45 minutes always from her home by foot, you couldn't help but think this is going to be a long year at your school.
