Unsure desire
#3 of Together in song
As everyone who's been reading knows, Aria and Melody are quite decisively together and have proven it quite effectively to each other. Now, let's turn to the future, a month after a new school year has begun, and see what's going on. Oh, and here's my signature 'Enjoy =^.^= ' I know, I can be kinda strange... ^.^; And as a final note, I hope you'll care to comment if you have something to say, I haven't gotten many so I really would like to know if people are enjoying my work, or have any ideas on how I can improve =^.^=
- * * "Come on, Aria, wait up!" a female voice called out, pleasant to the ears, though upon seeing its owner, nobody would be very surprised. The female in question was a swan, 16 years old, covered in bright white feathers save for the light blue hair crowning her head, and the bird-like lower halves of her legs. She had yellowish-orange eyes with relatively large black pupils, and an avian beak came out from the front of her face. It was said that she could turn her arms into wings when she wanted to, though nobody had actually seen her do so. "Oh...sorry, Trillia," the girl she'd called out to apologized, turning back to face her friend, forgetting that they were supposed to go to lunch together. She was a skunk, wearing a pair of glasses on her face, a little taller and a few months older than the swan, and the two had been close since she'd transferred to the school during the previous year. So close, in fact, that Aria had confided in the swan her close relationship with Melody, their vixen music teacher, who was now about to turn an even 30. "I just wish you wouldn't walk faster than everyone else sometimes, you know I'm not exactly built to keep up." "Yeah, sorry again..." the skunk apologized a second time. "So, how are things going with that boyfriend of yours? I've been...hearing some things about that..." "Great, you too?" Trillia sighed. "I swear he's about to dump me for her..." "If he does, then he's not worth it," Aria said as the two continued toward the lunch room, recalling for a moment her not brief enough time with a boy, a jock buck by the name of Jason who only wanted her for help with school. "I'm not sure I want anyone else, though...he's always been really nice to me, and he's probably the only other avian in this school..." "Stop worrying so much about it," Aria sighed, putting up with the worrying for the past week. "If you ask me, who cares about species? As long as two people care about each other, that's all that matters." Of course, she'd have to think something like that, her own lover a female like her, and a notably different age and species. "I suppose you would say that...but you're probably right..." Trillia said thoughtfully, though then there was the question of whether boys of other species would find hers at all attractive. "Of course I am. Just don't worry, things will work out eventually, they always do." With that said, the two got their lunch and took their usual table with two of the other music students from that previous year that had continued on into this new year, remaining with Melody as their teacher. One was a male wolf, Drake, one of the only two males that were in the class that year. He didn't really have the best singing voice, but he was still working on it, and had been improving at a sure and steady pace. The other was a female jaguar, Tara, with a fair singing voice and good songwriting skills. Trillia was the youngest of the group by a few months, while Aria was just barely the oldest, though the newest. "So...boy troubles?" Drake asked, glancing over to Trillia, who sighed. "The whole school knows, don't they?" she asked, the answer seeming obvious. "Pretty much." "Wonderful..." "Ow!" the wolf cried out, placing a hand over the opposite shoulder, hurting a little thanks to a punch from Tara. "Boys, what can you do?" the jaguar said, and the three girls shared a giggle, Drake grumbling slightly and turning to his food to ignore the stab at boys, which he happened to be among the ranks of. Her confidence in the relationship slowly decreasing, Trillia nonetheless continued to go out with her current boyfriend, a hawk. A bird of prey, but he was kind-hearted and the only male avian she'd seen in the school, so she couldn't really be picky. Rumors continued to swirl about him hanging around a female robin in the school often, some of which she personally caught, some of which was relayed to her through those three close friends, and finally she felt it was time to ask the boy, Kai, about them. The answer came without her even asking that next morning, half something she was hoping against, half something she wasn't expecting. "Oh, Trillia, there you are," the hawk called out, leading an unexpected person with him to the swan. "Kai...and..." "Cora, nice to meet you," the robin said in a friendly tone, offering a hand, which Trillia shook gently. "So, we're still on for a movie at my place tonight, right?" Kai asked the swan, a somewhat imploring gaze in his eyes. Under the guise of looking over to her locker for a moment, Trillia caught the hawk holding hands with the robin. "Yeah...I'll be there," Trillia smiled, glancing to the robin for a moment before turning her eyes back to the hawk, to her boyfriend, who it seemed wanted more than just her. Her eyes, however, simply showed friendliness, not allowed any hint of suspicion, sadness, or accusation. "Great! We'll see you there, then," Kai said, and walked off with the robin, the two waving goodbye to the swan, who waved back. Trillia was the first to arrive at the table at lunch that day, if only because she didn't bother to pick up any food, folding her arms on the table and resting her chin on them, looking down to the wooden surface sadly. "Trillia...what's wrong?" a sympathetic voice asked, and the swan glanced over to see Aria sitting by her in her usual seat, a caring look in her eyes. "Aria...he really is..." Trillia managed to get out, tears starting to form in her eyes. "Oh...I'm so sorry..." Aria said comfortingly, wrapping her arms lightly around the swan. "So...did you break up with him, then?" "Not yet...I think he wants me and that robin..." Trillia said, burying her face in the skunk's shoulder, trying not to cry. "A...threesome, I think it was called, then?" Aria said a little thoughtfully, and sighed. "That's just pathetic..." "I...know...I..." Trillia stammered out before she began truly crying, thinking back on the times she'd shared with the hawk, how they seemed to care for only each other, wondering what she'd do tonight. Go and break up with him there, or not go and just let him have that robin... Looking up, Aria saw the other two arrive, hanging back a little and looking to her for what to do. Seeing the skunk shake her head, they nodded and headed off to another table, leaving Aria to continue to comfort Trillia. "...what's it like..." Trillia started as the tears began to subside, Aria's shirt somewhat soaked where she'd been crying into it. "...to be with...a girl?" "Hm? Where's this coming from?" Aria asked, looking down to her friend in slight surprise. "I guess I'm just...curious...wondering if boys are worth it..." Trillia muttered. "It's...different, I suppose, though I couldn't much say. I've only been with one boy before, and he was a total jerk to begin with..." Aria said, wondering how to go about this odd direction the conversation was turning. "Hm..." Trillia simply let out, allowing the skunk to release her. Walking off, she left her friend wondering what she was thinking, until they met again after classes that day. "Aria!" the swan shouted, and the skunk and vixen turned, looking back to Trillia. "Can I...talk to you for a bit?" "Don't worry, I'll meet you back home. I'm sure you two have something important between you to talk about," Melody smiled, continuing to walk off and leaving the two alone before placing a kiss on the skunk's lips, which was returned, knowing that Trillia knew about their relationship and not seeing anyone else looking that way. "Is this about...earlier?" Aria asked cautiously, and Trillia nodded nervously, glancing off to the side. "I guess I just...want advice for how to go about it, since I know most girls probably wouldn't go for it..." Trillia said, not actually saying what 'it' was, but Aria got the meaning. "Well...I'm not really sure..." Aria said thoughtfully. "As for me and Melody, we became really close, then she invited me over to her house, and kissed me," she continued, smiling just a little at the recollection. At the time, she hadn't known what to think or do, but now it was a pleasant memory. "So what's it feel like...to kiss a girl?" the swan pressed further forward into the subject, her eyes making their way to the skunk's. "I can't compare it to kissing a boy, really, but if I had to guess I'd say it was more gentle," the skunk replied, unable to keep her eyes on the swan's for very long at a time. "Can you...um...demonstrate it?" "D...you mean kiss you?" Aria asked, surprised, locking her eyes on her friend's, little but curiosity shown in them. "Well...yeah..." Trillia answered, clasping her hands behind her back, leaning forward slowly, her face approaching the skunk's, unsure but interested. Still not sure how to take or go about this, Aria decided to give up and let her friend...experiment. It wasn't as if she herself was completely disinterested in boys, or would tell any other girls to be, but the fact was her mate was a girl, and the fact long since stopped bothering her, especially during that first night she and Melody had spent truly together, when she'd given herself completely to the older vixen. Seeing nothing from Aria that told her to stop, Trillia went forward the rest of the way, balancing herself just slightly up on the tips of her talons, the skunk two inches or so taller than her. Closing her eyes, she pursed her lips, which worked much like a human's despite the beak, and placed them against the other female's, immediately finding the skunk's lips softer and more gentle than her hawk ex-boyfriend, whom she'd kissed and had been kissed by on more than one occasion. "That felt...nice..." the swan muttered as she broke the kiss, blushing furiously and seeming to slightly surprise herself by the words that came out of her mouth. "Different than with a boy?" Aria smiled, not apparently bothered by her friend's action. "Completely...I can see why you wouldn't want to be with boys any more..." "Well, I wouldn't really say that. I wouldn't mind having a boy as long as he's kind and faithful..." "Kai flunks out on that last part," Trillia cut in, and the girls giggled. "But I'm with Melody, the person I love, and that's all that matters to me. Love, not gender or species or any of that," Aria continued. "Just if it's a girl, you'd have to be careful that they're open to relationships with girls. Melody...wasn't completely careful about that, but I'd gotten rid of my 'boyfriend', and she was there, so..." she trailed off. "Kind of like now?" "Huh?" Aria started, caught by surprise. "I guess kind of, but unfortunately I'm not exactly available." "Yeah, I guess there's that. Still not completely sure how, but...I guess I'll open up to the possibility of falling for a girl..." "Tell you what...why don't you come over? I'm sure Melody and I can help you out a little with that," Aria offered. Thinking it over for a few moments, Trillia nodded, taking the time to call her parents and let them know she'd be back later. On the way to Aria and Melody's house, though, she began to worry about possibly falling for one of the two now that she was interested in girls. With how much Aria and Melody cared about each other and trusted each other, and cared about her, however, that hardly seemed an issue. Even if she did develop a crush on one, or maybe both, of them, they seemed understanding enough toward her and each other not to mind, to take it calmly. "So, your boyfriend's a punk and you're becoming interested in girls, then?" Melody asked the swan. All three girls were sitting on the couch in the living room, soft music coming from the radio on the table next to it. "Y...yeah, I guess that's about it..." Trillia blushed, currently sitting between the two other girls, the two lovers. "And you want some advice from me? I'm not exactly an expert on the subject..." "Well you are the one that kissed me that first time at the bar," Aria said, recalling their first kiss at the local entertainment bar where they performed a few songs every Friday night. "True...and I'm certainly not regretting it," Melody smiled, then looked thoughtful, considering how to go about this somewhat awkward situation. "Hm...are there any girls you like, or are particularly close to?" she asked, looking to Trillia. "Well, other than maybe me and Aria." For some reason, the first one that came to mind was that girl Kai was with, Cora. Why in the world she thought of that robin was beyond her...maybe some kind of remaining attachment to her now ex-boyfriend. "Um...no, none that come to mind, but for some reason I'm half-considering trying to steal that robin from Kai just like she stole him from me..." Trillia giggled nervously, hardly sure what she was saying. "Well, I'm not really sure about that...though I suppose it might work, in some strange way..." Melody responded, not sure how to really react to that. "A better idea might just be to go to Kai's house tonight and confront her about the situation. Gently, preferably," Aria suggested. "Oh...yeah, I suppose that might work..." Trillia replied, looking to the floor thoughtfully. It may not have been something she was completely willing to go through with, but it seemed the most reasonable course of action in the situation. "Go ahead and go home and get ready and all that, then," Melody said, smiling. "Feel free to come over after school with us tomorrow and tell us how it goes, I'd kind of like to know myself." "Come over after school tomorrow anyway," Aria said, not a demand, more of a friendly suggestion. "It's Friday, so you can head over to the bar with us later on. Maybe you can even get on stage." "Wh...m...me?" Trillia said, her gaze snapping to the skunk, surprised. "I...I'm not good enough, I'm sure..." she continued, looking back down to the floor, a little depressed. "That's probably what Aria thought the first time, and now look, she's a regular there and everyone loves her," Melody smiled comfortingly. "You've got a great voice for it, and your songs aren't as bad as you seem to think, so just go ahead and get up there." "A...alright, I will," the swan said, seeming to regain a little confidence. "Thanks for helping me out, you two...I'll see you tomorrow, then," she finished, getting up off the couch and waving good-bye to the vixen and skunk before leaving to go home, going straight up to her room, ignoring her parents' surprise at seeing her back so soon, picking out a white skirt that almost matched her feathers, and a light blue button-down T-shirt. "Well, you're a little late, but I'm glad you made it," Kai said after he opened the door to find Trillia arrived a few minutes after she said she'd be there. "Cora's already here, so come on into the living room." Nodding, she followed the hawk into the house, stopping briefly as he closed the door behind her, finding the robin sitting around the middle of the couch in the living room, the big-screen TV across from it already on, waiting on the DVD player for a disc to be inserted. "Hello again," Cora greeted the swan, smiling pleasantly, before Kai hopped over the arm of the couch, coming down right by it on the soft cushion. Blushing slightly and glad that nobody happened to be looking at her the moment she was, Trillia walked around the couch, taking a seat by the other arm, feeling a little awkward about Cora choosing to sit in the middle, between her and her should-be boyfriend, Kai. Taking occasional glances to Cora and Kai, Cora sitting there, seeming interested in the movie, and Kai lounging against the arm of the couch, apparently paying no attention to the girls, Trillia watched the movie for a little while, holding her hands between her lap, before the awkwardness became too much to bear. "Hey, Kai, mind if I go make some popcorn?" she asked, looking over to the hawk, who took a brief glance to her and nodded, taking his eyes off the screen as little as possible. Sighing slightly and getting up from the couch, she walked into the kitchen, opening a cabinet over the refrigerator to grab out the box of popcorn packs, taking one out and returning the box to its place in the cabinet, closing the door and tearing the plastic covering off the bag, tossing it into the garbage. "Alright...three and a half minutes..." she muttered, looking over the suggested time listed on the bag, gasping and jumping a little in surprise as she almost ran into something that she didn't recall being there. A...shirt? "Hey...um...mind if I help?" she heard a voice and looked up to find the face of the one wearing the shirt, taking a step back so they weren't quite so close. "Oh...um...sorry for almost running into you...no, that's alright, I've got everything handled in here," she said timidly, walking around the robin to set the microwave to the right setting, opening the door to place the bag of popcorn in and start it up, turning around to find, in her surprise, the robin, who seemed to have followed her over. "I...hope you don't think I'm trying to steal Kai from you or anything..." the robin said, blushing slightly. "He's a good friend, but that's about it for me..." "Huh? Oh...no, I wasn't worried about that," Trillia replied, fairly convincingly. "Though it would kind of be nice for our dates to be...well, private..." "Yeah, about that..." Cora said, glancing nervously off to the side. "I think he wants both of us, but I...well...um...n, never mind..." she stammered, beginning to walk back toward the living room. "H...hold on," Trillia halted the robin, placing a hand lightly on her shoulder for a moment. "You what? I...kinda need to know, since it'll probably affect my relationship with Kai..." "I...well...you wouldn't..." Cora muttered, keeping her eyes away from the swan. "Huh? Just...tell me. I promise I won't be upset or anything." "I...um...I knew he was with you...so I stayed with him so I could maybe get close to you," the robin blushed again, redder this time. "Y...you...what?" Trillia stammered, not sure she heard what she thought she did, beginning to blush as well. "I...kinda like you, Trillia..." the robin admitted, her eyes still avoiding the swan. "You're beautiful, your voice is beautiful, you're good at a lot of things...not really like me, I'm no good at singing, I'm alright at school in general, I'm not that pretty..." "Stop," Trillia said, placing that hand lightly on the robin's shoulder again, the robin's light blue eyes finally meeting the swan's strange-colored eyes. "You're not going to be good at any of that stuff if you don't have any confidence. Maybe...you can meet me tomorrow, and we can both sing up on stage, if Melody doesn't mind..." she offered, smiling comfortingly. What happened next surprised her. The popcorn, which had just finished, all but forgotten, Cora placed a hand on the one on her shoulder, wrapping the other arm around the swan's waist, drawing her a little closer and drawing out a gasp from the white-feathered avian, who nonetheless couldn't seem to tear her eyes from the robin's, seeming to be spurred on by her newfound interest in girls and the strange thought earlier of stealing Cora away from Kai. Her eyes half-lidded, her breath coming in shorter than normal, she wrapped her free arm around the robin's neck, drawing her the rest of the way to her, pressing their lips together and closing her eyes, moaning lightly into the kiss as the robin lightly stroked the back of her hand. The girls quickly separated, each forcing down a blush, at the sound of footsteps in the hall just outside the kitchen, and Cora opened the door of the microwave while Trillia, who knew the house better, busied herself with digging in one of the cupboards to find a large bowl for it before Kai walked in. "Hey, come on, you two, you're gonna miss the good part," he said, motioning for the girls to follow as he walked back toward the living room. "So...meet me after school tomorrow?" Trillia asked, glancing over to the robin as she poured the popcorn into the bowl. "Just you and me? No Kai, right?" Cora asked, and the swan shook her head, receiving a curious glance from the other avian. "No, no Kai, but not quite just you and me. We'll be going over to one of my friends' places, hope you don't mind," Trillia answered, clearing up some of the curiosity. "Not a boy, right?" Cora asked, and Trillia shook her head in a no. "So would they be comfortable with...well...us?" "Don't worry about that, they will," Trillia smiled, and Cora nodded slightly, a little unsure, as the girls re-entered the living room where the movie was playing, though they were too distracted and disinterested to really pay any attention. "She...what?" Aria asked her swan friend in surprise, the two sitting alone at their lunch table for a few moments before the other two would arrive. "I know it's weird, but she said it herself, she was using Kai to get closer to me," Trillia blushed slightly. "Well, that's certainly unexpected...so you're bringing her along tonight, then, right?" "Yeah, she said she'd meet me right after school, so I'll introduce her to you and Melody," Trillia replied, glancing over to find that the other two were arriving, forcing the pair to drop the conversation. "So, what's the deal with that other girl?" Tara asked as she and Drake took their seats, a curious look directed toward Trillia, who didn't seem upset like the previous day. "Oh...nothing, really. I guess Kai wants her but she doesn't want him...though I still plan to break up with him thanks to this." "Too bad...he seemed like a nice guy." "He is, but..." "He doesn't mind cheating?" Drake offered, shying away from the jaguar a little to try and avoid another punch on the arm, something she'd often do when he decided to be blunt like now. "Well, let's just forget about him. Are any of you ever going to go to the Open Stage on Friday nights?" Aria asked the group in general; well, Drake and Tara, at least, since Trillia, she knew, was going to be there. The Open Stage was the name of the entertainment bar she and Melody performed at weekly. (I know, I'm horrible with names...) "Oh, yeah, I forgot about that..." Drake said thoughtfully. "I've brought it up almost every month, though," Aria sighed. "At least come tonight even if you don't want to go every Friday, Trillia's going to be up there." "Is that allowed?" Tara asked. "Well, it isn't exactly called the 'Open Stage' for no reason. And anyway, the owner's nice, he doesn't mind replacing the normal recorded music with some live music when he gets a chance." "So we could get up there if we wanted?" Drake asked, a little interested, not remembering her bringing anything up like this before. "If you want, I suppose. It's pretty nerve-wracking the first time, but it's an easy crowd, so you don't have to worry about being 'boo'ed." "Alright, we'll be there tonight, then," Tara stated, forcibly speaking for Drake as well, who didn't seem to mind. "Hey...are you...Trillia's friend?" Aria heard a voice ask while she was in the bathroom later that day between her final two classes, and the skunk glanced over to find a robin, who she thought she might've seen around the school maybe once in recent weeks. "Yeah...Cora, right?" the skunk asked, and the avian nodded. "Trillia told me a little about you, including why you were apparently with Kai." "Oh...yeah...that..." Cora blushed, glancing down to the floor. "So...she told me...you wouldn't mind?" "Not at all. Well, I can't exactly agree with using Kai like that, but other than that, I have no problems," Aria smiled reassuringly, and the robin hazarded returning her eyes to the skunk. "So...are you...?" Cora trailed off. "Interested in girls? I should be, since the one I love is a girl." "Oh...that's good, then..." Cora said, walking over to the sink by the one Aria had been using before she'd spoken, and was still standing by, her talon-like feet tapping lightly on the tiled floor, busying herself with washing her hands quickly. "So, you're coming with Trillia after school, right?" Aria asked, leaning back a little against the sink, shifting around a few times to try and find a comfortable way to do this. "Yeah, I hope you don't mind," the robin replied, grabbing a paper towel from the dispenser next to the sink to dry off her hands. "No, I look forward to it," Aria smiled pleasantly. "Well, we should probably get to class, it's just about to start," she suggested, walking toward the door. "Go ahead, I'm not going to go to this last class...I'm no good at it, and anyway I'm too nervous about tonight..." "Huh? How come?" Aria asked, hanging back and turning her gaze back to the robin. "Trillia's really nice, you don't have anything to worry about from her." "Well...I've always liked girls, and now that I finally found one that's open to a relationship with me, I have a bad feeling I'm going to mess it up...I've already been rejected by three girls I've tried to be with before..." "From what she'd been saying, it doesn't seem like Trillia thinks anything's going to go bad. She'll probably want to get to know you a little first, but she already seems to like you," Aria responded, pausing a little in the middle of it so she wouldn't have to try and speak over the bell for class. Of course, that also meant she was late, which seemed to defeat the purpose of going at this point. It was Melody's class, though, so she doubted it would be a problem. "I hardly even know what to do, though..." Cora muttered, leaning over the sink. "Stop worrying so much about it and go with what comes naturally, it worked for me," Aria suggested. Glancing to the door for a moment as if to make sure if anyone was coming, Cora nodded, lifting her arms over her head then down to grab the collar of her shirt. Seeing this, Aria blushed slightly and immediately looked away nervously, hearing the robin remove the T-shirt she was wearing, standing before the skunk in her skirt and bra. "You mean...like this?" she asked timidly. "Yeah, I suppose so, though you should probably wait for Trillia later tonight..." Aria said, a little suspicious about where this was going. She had someone, she'd said so, and Cora had Trillia, yet still the robin had held her back here in the bathroom, classes already starting and thus nobody around to walk in on them. "I...I want to make sure I know what I'm doing before I'm with her, though..." Cora said, quietly approaching the skunk, who was looking away, unaware of the pursuit before she felt the female's body pressing against hers. "Just this once?" Blushing a little more at this feeling, Aria thought things over for a moment. She wasn't going to wander the halls too much lest she be caught out of class, where she wasn't planning on going since she was already late. And maybe...showing the robin a thing or two would help the girl's budding relationship with Trillia. The swan wasn't to know, of course, though she might tell Melody, who would undoubtedly understand. It was settled, then. She'd go with what the robin currently wanted, just this once, and after that they'd remain with their true partners. "Well, why not? I suppose I can help a little," Aria said, finally turning her gaze to Cora, smiling. Taking the robin's shoulders, she spun them around lightly, directing the somewhat surprised girl gently against the door, which was the type that swung in and thus would now be held firmly in place. Taking the initiative, Aria pressed her body against the robin's, tilting her head down to nip lightly at her neck, careful not to let her glasses poke against it, eliciting a soft moan from the avian. "Mmm...can I...take your shirt off?" Cora struggled a little to ask, tilting her head back to give full access to her neck. "I hope you don't plan to ask Trillia that...relationships with girls aren't like with boys, you don't have to ask and you usually don't have to worry about your partner being rough. If you want something, just go for it. If your partner stops you, wait for another time," Aria explained, certain points of knowledge she'd picked up from the months she'd been with Melody. Nodding, Cora reached up to unbutton the skunk's shirt, who shifted her shoulders to let the first article of clothing to be removed from her drop to the ground as she herself reached behind the robin, undoing the bra strap behind her. Mimicking Aria's actions, Cora wrapped her arms around the skunk, reaching for the strap to her bra, which she quickly undid, and soon both girl's bras were laying near their shirts on the floor. Feeling brave, Cora caressed her fingers down Aria's back, eliciting a murr from the skunk, who began to nip lightly at the robin's neck again, slowly directing them lower to the base of her neck. Her hands reaching the top of Aria's skirt, Cora reached for the button before feeling Aria's hands pushing her arms back lightly. "Sorry, but you'll have to wait for Trillia to go that far," Aria smiled, licking Cora's neck once before lifting her face up level with the robin's, slowly sliding her fingers up the girl's feathered arms. "I guess...you're right..." Cora said between moans, her eyes half-lidded from the pleasure, able to stand only because the skunk was holding her firmly against the door with her body. Nodding slightly, Aria pressed her body a bit more firmly against the robin's, their uncovered breasts rubbing and mashing against each other. Lightly cupping the bottom of Cora's beak in one of her hands as they both reached the robin's shoulders, Aria moved in for a kiss, parting her lips slightly in it after a few moments, in turn parting Cora's lips the same amount, allowing room to slide her tongue into the robin's mouth, which searched around briefly before finding and caressing against the avian's. Closing her eyes the rest of the way and wrapping her arms tightly around the skunk's neck, drawing her deeper into the kiss, Cora began to moan a bit louder, hot breath released from her nostrils near the top of her beak, feeling Aria's other hand trail down from her shoulder to the accessible outside edges of her breast on that side, the fingers tracing around and all over it. As the skunk shifted her body a little away from her, Cora realized that the kiss was probably about to be broken, and followed Aria's tongue out of her mouth with hers, the skunk stopping for a moment to allow the robin's tongue to give hers a good-bye lick outside both their mouths before they returned to their owner's mouths. Taking a few steps back, perhaps a little unwillingly, she freed the robin to move again, who remained against the door for a short while, breathing more heavily than usual, as Aria kneeled down and picked up her own bra and shirt, returning them to her body and buttoning the shirt back up. "Feeling a bit more confident you won't mess up now?" she asked, looking to the robin, who suddenly realized it was over and bent down to retrieve her clothes, putting them back on with a little more difficulty than was necessary. "Y...yeah..." Cora muttered breathlessly. "I was sure it would feel good to be with a girl, but I guess this kind of caught me off-guard..." "First times can certainly be surprising, I'll definitely admit that, but after that it'll only get better, trust me," Aria smiled. "I'm sure you'll give Trillia a good first time." "Yeah...thanks, for this, for going along with me even though we probably shouldn't have..." "No problem, I'm just happy to help a friend, or two," Aria said. "Maybe you and Trillia will even consider stopping by my and my lover's house sometimes." "That would be nice," Cora said, walking a little closer to Aria, wrapping her arms lightly around the skunk's neck, who simply smiled pleasantly, wrapping her arms around the robin's waist. "Is it okay...if I kiss you? One last time?" "Why not?" Aria replied, letting the robin place her lips against hers in a relatively brief kiss. "That was...good enough, right?" Cora asked as she broke the kiss. "Can't say why it wouldn't be," Aria smiled, letting the girl rest lightly against her for a little while longer. A short while later, the girls heard the final bell of the day ring, signifying the end of the last class period, and got up off the floor where they were sitting against the back wall of the bathroom furthest from the door, simply chatting to pass the time until the end of school. "Come on, let's go meet Trillia and Melody before we miss them," Aria said, walking quickly over to the door and opening it, followed out by Cora. "Wait...Melody? You mean the music teacher?" Cora asked, surprised. "Oh, right, I guess I didn't say...yeah, I've been living with Melody after I got kicked out by my parents. Well, mostly my dad...he really doesn't like that I'm with a girl," Aria answered. "...you fell in love with a teacher?" "I think she kinda fell for me, first...but that was before I even knew she was a teacher, I only knew her as the singer Friday nights at the Open Stage entertainment bar, where I eventually got to know her personally during some tough times with my so-called 'boyfriend'," Aria explained. "After that, I was kicked out when I told my parents we were together, so I moved in with her, and she transferred me to this school." "Oh...sorry for asking..." "Don't worry, I'm long since over it," Aria smiled, waving her arm up in the air as she approached the classroom she should've been in for this last class period that had been spent in the bathroom, seeing Trillia looking around, probably for her or Cora. "Where've you been?" Trillia asked as the two girls reached her, the question directed toward Aria. "Sorry, I held her up back in the bathroom for some advice on...well...us..." Cora said timidly, not exactly lying but not telling the full truth. "Cora!" Trillia exclaimed, suddenly noticing that the robin was there, and blushing. "Oh...I guess that explains it." "Sorry I wasn't here," Aria apologized, slipping into the classroom as the girls talked just outside and walking over to Melody. "I was talking to that robin, Cora, and missed the bell." "Hm? Who's Cora?" Melody asked in curiosity, not seeming to mind the fact that Aria hadn't been in class. "See you two tonight," Tara cut in, and she waved to Melody and Aria, who waved back. Drake and the few others that were in the class seemed to have already left. "Oh, right...she's that girl that Kai was with," Aria explained, and Melody nodded, remembering Trillia bringing something up about that the previous day after school. "Apparently she was just with him to get close to Trillia." "So she was just using Kai? I certainly didn't expect that," the vixen giggled. "So now those two are getting together, then?" "Looks that way. Hope you don't mind that I invited her so she could come with us and Trillia?" "Of course not," Melody replied, finally getting up, glancing out to the near-empty hall, where she knew Trillia and Cora were probably outside the door somewhere, walking over to the skunk and drawing her close. "I'm happy to see that Trillia's found someone new so easily after that little issue with her now ex-boyfriend." "So am I, I didn't like seeing her so depressed yesterday," Aria agreed, wrapping her arms around the vixen and nuzzling into her neck, murring softly. "Well then, shall we get going home with those two?" Melody asked, needing to do no more than lightly cup Aria's chin in one of her hands for the skunk to kiss her lovingly, the two girls closing their eyes and holding the kiss for a few moments. "Yeah, let's go. Should definitely be interesting," Aria said, and the pair giggled, releasing each other from their gentle grip and walking out to the empty hall save for Trillia and Cora, just ending a kiss as the skunk and vixen emerged from the classroom.
