One Single Day: Lilly
One Single Day is part of my regular story series that focuses on One Single Day that the party members separate to do their own things when they arrive in a village for some down time. Each part of this chapter focuses on a single member of the party so that the reader and get to learn more about them individually.
This story focuses on Lilly's single day after arriving at the village. Naturally, being the team healer, she focuses her day at the clinic, until someone with very distinct injuries stops by.
The white cheeks of the busty squirrel were drawn up into a smile where Lilly took in the sight of the nightmare being hugged tightly by her unicorn sister. It made her heart jump to think that even someone has hard and cold as Domina could still have a loving relationship, even with something as platonic as her sibling. Just seeing the two together spoke legends about the equine, why she was the way that she was, why she acted the way that she did. Even when she pushed the unicorn off this white squirrel was able to tell that the nightmare had enjoyed the closeness to family.
Lilly understood the importance of family better than most. She couldn't even recall how long it had been since she last saw her family, but in their place this squirrel had built a new family. In the few weeks, or even months, that she'd been with this party she had gotten to know their personalities and who they were. Just like any family there were those that were respected, those that were disliked, and those that were loved. It was just then that she'd look around at the rest of the group and notice that Wolf was missing. A few blinks came and quickly the white creature looked around quickly.
This squirrel couldn't think for even a second that the large, overly muscular canine would just leave them behind to head off on his own. No, Lilly knew that he had to be around. Maybe he went to look around the village. If that was the case they'd be spending the majority of their time here simply hunting down the canine like a child. A sigh came with this realization, but soon faded when she found Wolf rejoining the part all on his own. In his hand he'd be holding a large sack of some kind. This blonde haired squirrel found herself just as confused by this, but when the canine explained himself it all became clear.
It seemed that the amazons had put up a quest for anyone willing to rescue their queen and had sent the payment for that question with a runner to overlap the group and meet them here. Such a thing seemed complicated enough, but Lilly wasn't about to refuse a hard earned payment, especially not after having taken on a dragon to get it. Looking over to the village boards that post the quests she failed to locate the amazon, but it wasn't very likely that the person would have stuck around after the delivery was made. From what she could tell they were going to be very busy in rebuilding their clan after losing so many in that battle.
The squirrel's eyes blinked suddenly when she found wolf presenting this sack to her. She hadn't been paying attention to it up until now, having been thinking about the amazons. With a light smile she took the bag, but her eyes soon fell on a less than impressed Flora and a, as usual, non-bias Domina standing around her. It looked like it would be up to the squirrel to separate out this coin so that the party could handle their needs. With a quick count she'd separate the bag so that everyone got an equal share of twenty gold. Lilly had to wonder what Wolf would end up doing with his share, but soon realized that he wouldn't be using it at all due to his wildborne ways of having no value in money. For only a second the squirrel was worried that Flora would be trying to take advantage of this, but soon she discovered that this wasn't the case.
Domina took the money from Wolf and added to the cash that he already previous had. If anything the idea that the canine should invest in the party came to the white squirrel's mind, but she didn't mention this to him. It was his money, and someday he may be able to understand that there was value with it and want to spend it. How fair would it be if the group had asked him to take care of their needs instead of allowing him to enjoy the spoils of his own victories.
Everyone seemed to disperse, going shopping and other things. Even Wolf seemed to be walking away. If anything the squirrel wanted to make sure that they all ended up in the same place together by the end of the day. She didn't want Wolf to think that his friends were all leaving.
"Hey! Let's all meet up at the Inn when we're done ok?" the squirrel called out, even waving her arm to make sure that she had their attention. Domina and Flora agreed before heading off together.
It was odd that Domina would choose to travel around with Flora, even in this village. Lilly was always under the impression that Domina didn't care for the tigress at all, then again she was under the impression that Domina didn't really like anyone. There was some soft sides to the equine, but for the most part this squirrel noticed that the nightmare kept mostly to herself. Lilly took a careful note from this to spend some personal time with her other party members besides just Wolf. In her defense, up until now, she wasn't even sure if she was even going to stick with the group. With the last adventure showing her that she still had much to learn, and that the group needed her, she would stay on.
With the group slitting up for now the squirrel would turn to see Wolf already heading off. The squirrel only blinked to this wondering what he was going to do, but then realized this was a chance for her to do her own thing for a little while as well. She wasn't really done adventuring, and being here in this town didn't prevent her from wanting to help some more people. That was the purpose of the local boards, a page board that people used to post up requests and topics about the local area. It was a great chance for her to see how she had advanced as an individual since the start of these tournaments and adventures, a chance for her to test herself.
Her hand gripped the wooden board suspended with just a single post in the ground. Golden eyes looked around it slowly. There was a mission to train the queen of the village. That wasn't something she was interested in. A quest to train the village brothel, something she wasn't willing to do. A bit of news, including information about the tournament, but what drew her attention the most was the a simple request written on pink paper with white spots asking for temporary assistance with the village medic house. It looked like this hospital could use someone that understood how to treat injuries, or could at least learn for the time being. Being the healer of the group, this made the job perfect for the busty squirrel.
Removing the page from the board she'd turn to look around the village, it was only a few minutes before she'd come across the lovely vision of a bovine hanging. A smile on the lips and sweet hum on the voice would turn with the beautiful cow where her slender body moved under her hugging clothes. The ears twitched at the sound of the busty squirrel with a smile. She could see the pink note hugged against that white draped breasts of the pure white squirrel leaving those eyes to turn up towards the smaller creature's delicate face.
"Hello there. You want to help in the clinic today?" The sweat voice of the cow was chimed almost to match the bell around her neck.
"Um.. yes, I'm Lilly. I work as a party healer." It wasn't like the squirrel to be so shy, but the sheer beauty of the creature in front of her had left the smaller mammal speechless.
"My name is Belle." The cow said quickly even pointing at the cow bell around her neck almost as a joke to her own name. "So you're a cleric then? Excellent, a little magic could help this place. Please finish hanging the bandages and then come inside."
The bovine moved her hips from side to side in a knowing sway as she walked away, allowing that short haired tail to hook her skirt in order to pull it directly against her rear right before she vanished into the darkness of the clinic. Lilly's blue eyes turned down towards the bandages, they were wet, freshly washed, and ready for hanging so that they could be reused. Cleaned to the best of their abilities in order to help prevent the spread of disease. It was common practice to reuse supplies, but if one was contaminated with something dreadful, or too filthy and damaged to be reused then it would be burned. This could be done easily in a time of magic and science working together. Things could be cleaned far superiorly in these times.
The time it took to hang the rest of the bandages was almost non-existent, but Lilly did so with care, knowing that they would be used to heal those of this village. This squirrel turned from the finished task and headed inside, passing the thresh hold and around the corner in order to see the duel room clinic. It looked like the front room was for simple cases while the back had bedding for the more injured people. Belle was in the back with a patient. Her hands running up and down the length of his leg where her large breasts traced along his crotch.
A lift of Lilly's brow would show her curiosity of how this technique was helping the gentleman at all, but the look of bliss shown on his face and soon his eyes closed and his voice gasped. The bovine lifted from the creature to allow him up and he moved along his way. The squirrel opened her mouth to question what had just happened, but was stopped immediately by Belle who answered the question post haste.
"Don't worry about him. We get some fakers once in a while. They only want one thing, so I give them a little taste and they give me what I need to keep the clinic running." Winking to the squirrel she'd stick out her tongue a bit teasingly while gripping large bovine tits, "What's the point in having them if I can't use them to help the people that really need medical care, right?"
Lilly could see herself in Belle, at least what the squirrel would have become if things hadn't turned for her and pushed her in the direction of adventuring. She had to think that those like herself that used their bodies as weapons rather than something to attract others, had learned to further respect themselves, and their bodies. It was common sense to the squirrel that when you fight to protect the body, and what it contains then you're naturally not going to just display it and use it for your own purposes. Then again it was a tactic that she could expect Flora to use often, well far more often than not using it that is. The thoughts of this all, it made her second guess her decision to work with Belle, but it didn't change the fact that there were people that were going to be needing their help, and Lilly had the talents and skills to be able to assist Belle.
It was true that combat healing was different than clinical healing. In a battle you have to watch yourself and healing is more magic based because it's faster, but being faster also meant that it was sloppier, and only really effected stamina for the most part where the person she was healing would rely on his own recovery ability to actually heal damage. In a clinic people dealt with actual damage, and healing wounds. There was almost no magic involved at all where everything was medicine, stitches, and bandages. It made Lilly feel a bit intimidated where as a healer to her party, she might have been doing them a disservice this entire time. If she was ever going to get better as a party healer then she would need to learn from someone, and although morally questionable, Belle knew far more about modern medicine and healing than the squirrel did.
In a village this size, everyone really knew one another. They used each other's special skills to be able to survive out here on the borders of the wilds where bandits, beasts, and monsters were a common occurrence. When someone got hurt, they knew to come to Belle to take care of it. There was a downside to this, with everyone knowing her, it also meant that she knew everyone as well. People had a tendency of getting hurt once in a while out here, but usually it was the young ones goofing around hurting themselves by falling on rocks, or scraping their knees, or any number of things. If someone hurt somebody, it quickly became a full village issue, and people quickly became tense.
"Belle!" Came the shout from outside the entrance, but there was no need as the person simply came in.
She could tell the difference between people calling her name due to wanting attention, being angry, or even trying to flirt. This was none of those, the tone of voice displayed here was something closer to panic, anger, and urgency. This bovine was able to pick up on it immediately, but was stopped when someone entered the door with what looked like a male feline hanging from his arm. It was instantly obvious what had happened here, this feline had been whipped until open wounds were cut into the skin itself. Bruises, lacerations, maybe even deeper damage was instantly obvious from the way that this creature wasn't even able to hold itself up. Lilly had to wonder who would do this, and why.
"Lilly! You with me? Put some water in the pot so that we can boil needles. This kid is going to need stitches." The bovine interrupted Lilly's train of thought.
How often did she do that? Just retreat into her head when surprised in battle. In the entire time they'd fought to save the amazon queen, she only actually seemed useful to the party once. She had even been taken down by one of the Koballs thanks to this. No she would do better, she was better than that. Quickly moving to take up the close by pot she'd put it at the ground by the water barrel before pulling the plug on it and allowing the pouring water to fill the pot easily. With a fast replugging Lilly would place the pot directly over the pile of recently burned wood. Setting up the catch taking hold of the flint and steel she'd start her efforts to get the fire started. Hitting that rock against the metal over and over again. Sparks flew but she couldn't get a good one to catch.
The bovine and the man that had brought the feline in were still talking, but now helping the injured kitty into the back room. They weren't paying attention to her right now, but they would be soon if she didn't get this fire started. In a deep breath she focused on the remaining wood here, watching it and drawing in her mind the image of the wood burning. Turning away from it she'd invision that it would continue without her further assistance and went to get more wood.
"Lilly!" Came the voice of Belle as she came around to check on things, "It doesn't need to be so big, hun. Just hot."
Lilly turned to look at the fire and it had truly erupted nicely better than she'd imagined. This squirrel needed to watch herself more, and keep herself better under control. Hurrying back to the fire she'd drop the needles into the heated water to make sure that they could get fully sterilized. There wasn't much that modern medicine could do for most people in this time and age. Medication was almost non-existent outside of teas and their liking, and even in dirty lands like this, a deep wound could mean losing a limb if not treated right away.
The bovine came up behind her and looked at the not-yet boiling water, "Go clean his wounds. I'll watch the needles and bring them in when their done."
Cleaning wounds was something that the squirrel could at least do to help this young creature. There was a reason that the "Tits" skill class, as it was called by other adventurers, was known for being the healer skill. Moving her hands to the outside of the straps to her top that crossed like an "X" over her breasts just enough to cover the nipples she'd pull the fabric inward, allowing it to part her massive mounds, but expose the nipples. This squirrel gripped the nipples easily and with a soft moan would pull at them a bit in order to flow out over into her own hands and down her arms. With practiced ease she'd roll the milk around as if forming signs with it before the juice would start to glow in her palm.
Those hands ran over the body, specifically the open wounds. She'd smirk when she watched them close a bit from her efforts. Given time she could heal the entire body with just this tactic, but there was only so many times that she was even able to do this, and it wasn't wise to use up all of a talent at one time. Such a talent wouldn't decrease her bust size at all, but practicing it enough would stimulate the growth, which in turns increases the number of times it can be used.
By the time Belle returned to the back with the needles wrapped in a steaming cloth she noticed that most of the wounds were closed. There were still some very deep ones about the body, but the smaller ones were pretty much gone. She'd only smirk a bit at this and nod her thanks to Lilly. She knew that it took some dedication to learn those kinds of healing talents, but never had the patience for it. She also noticed that there was no infection or dirt, so decided that she'd start her procedure of stitching the feline up.
"You did really good here, Lilly. Thank you." She said softly to her watching as the squirrel returned her large tits behind her dress once more, "I think you're finished here. I'll send your payment to the inn. You can pick it up tonight, or tomorrow morning."
"Thanks Belle." She said happily. Overjoyed that the bovine had been pleased with her skills. She didn't understand all of the medical treatments that the cow knew, but this squirrel still had her talents, and spells that she could use herself.
Having witnessed this event, she quickly knew where she needed work in the party. A light giggle came when she realized that she was thinking about the group at all. Before she wasn't even sure if she was still going to be with them, but now she knew that without her they would be dead in the water. Not to mention who else is going to bring that squirrely charm to the team? One thing still bothered her, what happened to the feline. The only way to get this answer was to ask.
"Hey, Belle. What happened here?" She asked timidly, knowing that some villages didn't like discussing village topics with outsiders.
"Someone visited Timber and Foxy's brothel and got way too rough. I told them that they shouldn't hire adventurers to train escorts but..."
The bovine was immediately cut off by the squirrel's look. She thought about the post on the board earlier, and if they were the only people adventuring in this village right now then there was only one person that would even want to train those poor people. Golden eyes narrowed at the idea that one of her party would do such a thing, and even more that she almost immediately knew who it was. If she could snarl, she would at the very thought of that dark and sadistic feline doing something like this to someone. At least as an adventurer they'd been trained to deal with pain, but to hurt villagers and people that weren't taught properly to defend themselves? That was evil, and it wasn't something she was about to simply stand for. Not while she was part of this group and Flora's actions reflected on her.
She'd already been dismissed and the squirrel stormed off from the clinic to head in the direction of the brothel. She was a squirrel with a mission, with a purpose, and even if she was going to do this alone, she was going to put a stop to the tigress's evil once and for all. Lilly was ready, ready for a fight, ready for war, even if she had to break every sacred commandment she had vowed to not to harm others, it was more her duty to protect these people. In Lilly's mind if stopping one person could protect all others then she would do just that. She had beaten the tigress before, and there was no doubt in her mind that she could do it again.
Those golden eyes locked on her target, on the building quite boldly marked "Timber and Foxy's Fine Services". What she hadn't expected was that the sound of some form of higher excitement was erupting in the Tavern. It became obvious that someone who'd do this wouldn't stick around there for an adventurer or city guard to show up. She'd leave and hide out among other people like herself. People that sit at tables and drink their feelings away and look back on better times. In a fast rush she'd push the door open to the tavern expecting completely to see Flora standing there with a whip of some kind of bragging about how terribly she'd beaten one of the local escorts. Stories of begging, of pleading, and of her in full control over him while teaching him the very meaning of the word "Goddess".
What she saw instead was a room full of horny men and women all staring one single direction. The aura of lust in this building was almost enough to force someone to pass out, but still she stood her ground and allowed her view to follow their trail left by others. This building was made primarily of thick wood, but it even had a stage in it. This stage was obviously designed for call girls to dance on and keep the adventurers, as well as locals, in the building and buying drinks. She was expecting some female up there dancing, or performing in order to work for tips and wages in order to earn her chosen place in life. Instead what she saw up there was Wolf sitting in a chair with his back to these people. In his lap was a purpled fur rabbit bouncing up and down. The fact of what they were doing became instantly evident and all of that anger she had suddenly felt towards Flora was instantly redirected to the canine in the chair.
The pitch black eyes of the wolf turned to look at Lilly when he sat up suddenly. This drew the attention of the rabbit and the crowd to the fuming squirrel that was all but grinding her teeth at the display. Was there anything he wouldn't have sex with? Anything that couldn't draw him out and use him just as this rabbit was now? Doesn't he have any self-control at all? If not, then what does that make the time they shared together. It was instantly obvious that Lilly was upset and Wolf was approaching her instantly looking like someone that had done nothing wrong at all. The fact that he couldn't even understand what he'd done and why she was mad just made the entire situation worse. And to think, she was thinking about staying In this group because of this canine.
A shake of her head would give Wolf time to finish his approach, but this was only met with her hand pressing against his chest to force him down into the chair at the table near the entrance. It was then that Domina and Flora entered the room. Her golden eyes turning to look at them for a second before returning her anger to its proper place, this filthy white wolf with no sense of dedication. She wanted to say something, but what could she say about this? He was too stupid to even know that he did something wrong. No, there was nothing that she could say, nothing she could indicate to make him understand why he had hurt her again. This wouldn't be the last time either, nothing she did was ever going to affect him and any kind of relationship that they could have would be doomed from the very start. They were just too different.
In a raged hurry she'd rush from the tavern, immediately followed by Wolf. Flora and Domina always followed, probably just to watch the sparks fly and see the tortured squirrel. She wasn't thinking straight now, she couldn't even figure a coherent thought even when Wolf reached out to her. The fast turn would evade his hand, but she finally exploded.
"Da... Gha... I..." She couldn't think, she couldn't speak. She wanted to tell him exactly what she felt, the reasons she was upset and yet nothing sounded right to start this sentence, nothing seemed like he could understand her even in the least. She wanted him to feel hurt, to make him feel the way he had just made her feel. Something, anything, even if it was an insult, a manner of treating him, something demeaning, "SIT!" she ordered immediately. Treating a dog like a dog was the worst way that one could act towards a canine.
Wolf didn't get angry from this, instead his eyes widened and he immediately did as she said, taking a seat on the ground itself. The very look on his face didn't look angry, it didn't look humiliated, it looked horrified, like a puppy that didn't know it had done something wrong and was now being scolded. Was he really that dumb? He couldn't even tell when he was being insulted? How could anyone be this way? The frustration was getting to her, the very idea that someone could make her this upset simply drove her to the edge of her own sanity.
The squirrels hands wrapped around the sides of his face, forcing him to look directly at her, forcing him to show her the emotion that he was feeling from this. Wanting to see that pain, or the even some kind of anger on his expression at all. He'd look at her for as long as she wanted. Not saying a word, but sitting there and allowing her to express herself while still sitting on the ground. Even down here he was still close to her height.
"Why?" She asked, "Why are you this way? Why can you hurt others, but can't be hurt yourself?"
Lilly watched the canine's expression drop. The head hanging to look downward at the ground where he sat. Somewhere she could tell that he was sad, but it wasn't because of what he did, it was because she was yelling at him. A shake of her head proved that this beast still didn't understand the issue. She had wanted to spend her day with him today. She had only taken the job because he left her all alone in the streets, and then what is the next thing she sees him doing? Shamelessly allowing that purple bunny to mount him, and in front of all of those people. The frustration she felt, the very raw nerve of her anger poking through as she felt tears building up.
No. Don't you cry, not here, not like this. He's not worth the tear. Be strong, she thought to herself as she fought back the tears. Her focus was keeping the fluid at bay in her eyes, but even that was only going to last so long. A push, a bump, something had hit her back and bounced her forward. Lilly finding herself falling towards Wolf and soon was wrapped around the thick white fur of his canine body. Even as he held her close she couldn't help but still feel angry with him, but here in his arms, she might just be able to forgive him once again. Wolf wasn't a man of many words, she knew he had a hard time expressing himself sometimes, but where his voice failed, his body language was usually able to shine through. Even as she rested here against him, feeling her frustrations wash away, she could simply wait in his arms and be with him a little longer.
