The Vast Woodlands chapter 2
This story is based on Pokemon, which is something that doesn't belong to myself
I have written this story myself
The next morning the Arcanines of Fenrirs pack were severely surprised to find Fenrir laying beside a small Leafeon.
He had been watching her all night to make sure she stayed put, as he felt so guilty for breaking her leg and wasn't about to let her go until she was healed, He would feel even more guilty if something else happened to her as a result of her injury.
His mother heard the commotion and pushed through the small crowd.
"Fenrir?" she stopped dead when she saw the Leafeon fast asleep beside him "What is this Fenrir?"
He looked at his mother and started to explain about what had happened the night before, after he told his story she nodded and completely understood.
She looked to the Leafeon then back to Fenrir claiming "She will have to go when she is healed Fenrir, she is an outsider to our pack"
"I understand" he replied, His mother then turned and walked away as the Leafeon woke.
Fenrir sighed and looked at the Leafeon then asked her "Are you hungry little one?"
Feeling uneasy of those staring at her, she nodded and couldn't bring herself to protest over being called "little one".
Even if she wanted to leave she couldn't, her leg was not the only issue, she was also afraid of those who were staring at her; she wasn't too used to such large crowds of Pokemon.
"Well ok then" Fenrir replied and got up to fetch food "Stay here" he added
As she watched him walk to the hidden area where the food for the pack was kept, She observed a small group of women following him, giggling and trying to get his attention, he was friendly to them but he didn't seem too really take any notice of them.
As Fenrir approached the Leafeon unfortunately had to agree, he was good looking and he did have a very good build for an Arcanine, It was unfortunate that she wasn't the same but even if she was the other girls were probably a lot better than her.
Fenrir dropped a mouthful of berries in front of the Leafeon, which to a Leafeon was a full blown meal.
Her eyes widened "That's a lot of berries, you sure you pack can spare them?"
She hadn't really considered the fact that what made a meal for her made a mouthful for others.
Fenrir chuckled "Yea I'm pretty sure we will be fine"
She yipped happily and dug in.
"So what is your name Leafeon?" he asked as he lay back down beside her
"Leaf..." Her mouth full of berry "Yours?"
He chuckled again "Fenrir"
She stopped eating and looked at him; her face covered in berry juice "That's a really odd name"
He smirked "and that's a really weird face" he replied trying not to laugh over it
Her little pup growl came along with an unimpressed face and she went back to eating.
Over the next few weeks she watched him fighting other Arcanines, Often being victorious and patting the looser on the back, that was when she began to realise just what kind of person he was.
Fenrir was observing Leaf with every chance he got, he had wonder about this small Pokemon, and the determination she showed almost every day, not only did he notice that. It seemed she didn't like to take anything, even when it was given to her.
The next night Leaf got up and started trying to walk, it was painful and she held her breath against whimpering, Fenrir awoke and saw her hobbling, he could just about hear her muffled whine of pain.
He sighed and got up "You should be more careful Leaf"
"I'm sorry Fenrir did I wake you?" she asked masking the pain as best she could
He sighed and walked over resting a paw beneath her tummy, then gently lifting it so she could still touch the floor.
"You shouldn't push yourself too much Leaf, you'll only get hurt further" he said seriously and softly
She looked at him "th...thank you Fenrir..." She started to walk again with Fenrirs assistance.
"He is so kind... Why is he so kind to me though?" She wondered to herself
"You are tough for such a little Pokemon" He commented with a chuckle
"And you've got an awfully small brain for such a big Pokemon" It showed that she wasn't happy with his "small" comments.
He sighed and continued to help her.
