Exploring some new worlds! :D OooOOOoooooooo

"You don't love me. Big fuckin' deal." She sputtered into her drink. The glass shook in her paw as she downed the last of the whiskey and set it down. The target of her anger leaned against the wall out of range of her sight. The mass of red headfur covered most of her vision as she sat hunched in her chair.

"You're drunk again, Beth. Let's get you to bed and talk more about this in the morning." The female panther walked calmly out of the shadows and placed a paw comfortingly on Beth's shoulder.

"NO!"

Swinging wildly with her fists, the red-headed lioness landed one solid punch before backing up. Once more, she hunched over as if she were protecting some vulnerability.

"You're always doing this! Ever since I first met you, Allison. You're always showing up to talk and be reasonable whenever I'm fucked up." Beth took support from the wall and wiped some saliva from her mouth. "I wish I'd never met you, bitch. I hate you and everything you goddamn stand for."

Allison sighed and collected the glass from the table. Walking over to the sink, she poured the rest of the bottle out and began to wash the glass. Light refracted from the dripping cup across the room from the moonlight coming through the window. The kitchen had always been bare since they moved in together.

Beth had given up on her dreams of becoming a doctor. She had moved across the country to be with her lover. Months had passed as her friends and family alienated her but she told herself that she had done this for love. Allison would be her everything and more.

The tall, glossy panther finished drying the glass and put it back in its place in the cupboard mechanically. Then, she turned around to regard the fuming girl in the corner.

"You hit me just now, you know?" she started, blandly. "I don't think I've done anything to merit that."

Beth's head jerked up and her eyes set in a fiery glare. "I'd rather you hit me back. I see what you're doing. Conniving spider. You tear me down until I'm just about to break and then pick me back up with your 'I'm sorry's' and 'Baby, I love you's'. Well, not anymore! I'm already packed up and I'm leaving. Tonight!"

She stumbled haphazardly to the archway between the kitchen and living room where her suitcase was. The front door was in full view of the darkened hallway in the small house they share.

Allison moved quickly over to grab her before she fell. She wrapped her arms tenderly around Beth's waist and hugged her close as the smaller woman tried to escape. Beth's anger began to melt as did her resolve.

"No! No! Let go of me, you bitch! Let GO!" she screamed and beat half-heartedly at the arms around her. She gazed tearfully at the door as Allison pressed her muzzle into her shoulder blades and whispered. "You're drunk. It's not safe for you to leave now. At least wait until you sober up."

No. Beth yelled at herself. If you don't leave now, you never will! The door's right there! Get away. Run.

"That'll happen in an hour. Then...then I'm gone for good." She said shakily.

"That's fine." Allison replied soothingly. "As long as you're safe, my love. I don't care where you are."

She moved her hands down to lift up Beth's shirt. It was only a thin tank top that she wore around the house. Earlier, she had removed her bra as a precaution before drinking. She hated passing out in a bra. Her bare breasts slid smoothly into the open air before they were cupped by Allison's hands.

Beth let out a loud exhalation as more of her resolve left her. The taller female kneaded her gently and began kissing her neck to relax her. The temperature in the room felt like it was escalating quickly. Her legs rubbed together and she whimpered in the darkness.

"Remember your senior prom?" Allison asked suddenly, running her tongue along the backside of Beth's ear. Beth shuddered and leaned back farther, arching her back.

"Yeah...?" She replied breathless and confused. "What about it?"

"You and your friends decided to play a prank on someone." She slid her hands deep between the thighs of her lover and squeezed. "It was really funny what you did, right?"

Beth tried to concentrate on what was being said to her, but the sex and alcohol were both making her head swim.

"Mmmmm, yeah? We pushed some girl out naked on the stage. No one saw anything. I think..." She murmured trying to recall the scene.

"It mattered, Elizabeth Kesselring. And everyone saw." The voice cut like steel through the haze.

Beth's eyes widened as her mind began to piece everything together. The paws that held her so tenderly before were suddenly gone and she was alone on the floor staring at the front door. Allison walked past her, holding her shirt. In one movement, she snagged up the suitcase waiting for the door and turned to face Beth.

"You have no one now, cheerleader." That beautiful face spat acidly. "Your family thinks you're a freak. Your future is in shambles and your friends all hate you. The rent's been backed up for months now. Your car is in my name. Your clothes are all in this suitcase now." She stuffed the shirt into the top. "Well, almost. You can keep your jeans. I'm not completely heartless."

The front door opened and the streetlight poured into the house, illuminating the stunned lioness on the floor.

"Oh...and one more thing." Allison leveled a glare. "Enjoy the crabs."

Beth stared in shock and disbelief as her ray of hope transformed into a spotlight of disgrace. She had almost made it out the door.

Almost.
