I opened the door to my apartment And sauntered in tired from a long day of work and school. I made my way down The entry hallway and into the living room and tossed my satchel onto the couch And headed to the kitchen and then to the fridge and opened it and grabbed a Root beer. After I Twisted the twist off bottle cap off the top of the bottle I took a long swig

I exited The kitchen I spotted myself in a wall mirror I had up to look at myself After I did my morning workout routine I was a rather slim but well muscled Snow wolf I was all white such a prefect white that sometimes when I'm running With my shirt off people that pass me on the road shield their eyes jokingly. I Did have some subtle undertones to my fur like the rings of light gray around My wrists and the tip of my tail is the same color gray. I also had a birthmark On the back of my right shoulder that was in the shape of a cross I got the Mark from my father and his father be for him and so on it was customary for The sons of my blood line to have this mark. After I admired myself a little And flexed my mussels and did some manly poses in the mirror I headed for the Couch that I threw my satchel on and plopped on it and grabbed the remote off The coffee table that was stationed in front of the couch and flipped on the TV.

For a Single male on my own I had a decent paying job with good benefits. I've worked For a small band of grocery stores that span over the southeast part of the US starting in North Carolina all the way down to the southern most parts of Georgia. I've been working for this company for three years now started working In my hometown of St. Simons Island the place that gave me my southern accent I Transferred to an Atlanta branch that was just near Georgia tech the college That I started attending about a year ago. Throughout those years I went up in The chain of command I would say and became a customer service assistant manager making sure every customer was happy and that all of the cashiers were Doing their job and even got to keep my job when I transferred and the store Is So kind that they were able to work around my college hours so I mainly closed The store usually for about 4 o'clock to twelve.

So back to The point of me explaining my job to you for me being a single man I could splurge My money on a lot of pleasurable items like a 60 inch LCD TV that I had mounted On the wall across the room from my couch.

"Hey big Sis what's up" I said happily as it has been a little while since I have spoken With my sister like I said she is in Miami and I'm in Atlanta so it's a little Had to visit.

"Hey little Brother oh nothing much just thought I'd call to tell you James and I are going On a vacation in about a week and we were wondering if you would like to spend Your upcoming summer vacation house sitting for us while we are gone?" She Asked with a friendly tone that spoke confidently as if she knew I would say Yes

"Heck yeah I Would love to!" I exclaimed "I got to go talk to my boss about some vacatio hours I'm pretty sure I got a good bit stored up since I haven't taken any Vacation time since I started working up here" I added

"All right Little bro you can come up any time but make sure to be here before next Friday" she told me with an excited tone

"Oh yea Sis, Repede can come too can't he" I asked

"Of course He can hey where is he anyway" she asked

"Oh I'm Not sure here let me call him" I said a little confused "Repede come!" I commanded And in trotted Repede from where ever he was hiding. Repede was a forest wolf From Russia with a dark blue coat of fur that covered the top half of his body And a light gray that covered the bottom half.

I found him when I was twelve he Was stranded in a back ally badly injured as a puppy back in my hometown. As it Was very rare to find a feral wolf out in the south it was even more rare Find a forest wolf.

I took him in and my father let me Raise him. My father being a lieutenant Colonel in the marines had us both trained In a type of "marines special forces dog training Course" to make sure he was a Good companion for me. He and I passed with flying colors and he is now one of The most renowned "service" dogs in the U.S. Said the commanding officer that Presided over my dad. And he was even granted the right to follow me anywhere We go. He was even allowed into the grocery store where I work.

"Ah here he Is," I said as I let him hop up into my lap "so where were you boy?" I asked Him as he greeted me with a happy lick on the cheek and I petted him on the head

"Wow you've Grown so much since the last time I saw you Repede" my sister said. This was The first time shed seen him since she moved out over 5 years ago. Repede heardher and let out a grateful bark

"He says Thank you," I said as I continued to pet him.

"You're Welcome Repede... Wait page can you understand him" my sister said sounding Confused

"Kind of We've been together so long I kind of can its weird" I said with a confident Tone so she could tell I wasn't playing around

"Well ain't That neat well of course he can definitely come" she said re answering my question

"Yay hey Boy, we're going to go see Cara and James down in Miami next week" I told Repede Which got an excited bark from him and his tail a wagging

"Well he is Excited" I said happily

"Good well I Got to go check on a shipment of couches that were supposed to of arrived at One of our clients' houses, but they aren't there yet so I'll see you some time Next week " she said with a little annoyance in her voice "love you" she added

"Love you To big sis see you later" I said as she hung up the phone

"Well I Guess I got to go see Dmitri about some vacation time" I said to myself as I Looked at my watch to see that it was only 6 o'clock

"Hey Repede It's about time for your walk you want to come with me to the store"

"Woof" (Sure) Repede barked

"Alright Boy lets go" I said as I hefted myself off the couch and made my way to the The door is tossing my empty bottle of root beer into the trash on my way out. I Locked the door behind us and we made our way down the street. My work was only About a 20 min walk from my apartment so it wasn't too bad and I need to take Repede Out also so it was a double whammy.

As we were About half way there I heard a voice coming from behind me

"Hey page!"

As I turned around I saw the face of my best friend Alex. Now don't let the name confuse you Alex is actually short for Alexia. But she Goes by Alex for short. She also is one of the few girls at my school who Dresses like a boy, as to keep all the obnoxious single boys from hounding her. Actually I'm the only boy at my school that knows the real her everyone else Thinks she is a boy or either a lesbian so no one bothers to talk with her. She Was my first friend I made in college. And only about 6 months ago I figured Out that she was a girl. I kind of accidently walked in on her getting out the Shower in a hotel that we were staying at when we were going to an away game With our soccer team.

Alex Is aSmall border collie standing only at about 5' 7" and compared to my 6' 5" she Is about a foot shorter than I am but none the less cute. After I figured out That she was a girl I developed a big crush on her but I have yet been able to Find a way to ask her out I'm too afraid and I'm not sure why.

"Oh hey Alex What's up" I asked her as she caught up to us.

"Oh nothing Much just heading to the market to grab a few things and I saw you and Repede Walking in the same direction so I thought Id join you " she said in her usual The overly happy attitude that I just found so adorable "so are you two going there too?" she asked

"Yep I got To ask my boss about some vacation time for next week." I told her in the usual Casual tone I had when I spoke to her

"Vacation Time? What for?" she asked

"My sister Cara just asked me if I would like to come down and house sit for her while she And her husband go on vacation" I answered

"Oh howLong will you be gone" she said with a little less pep than before which I Noticed and made me feel a bit guilty

"I'll be gone for about a month" I said

"A whole month" she gasped showing sadness that I would be Gone "what am I supposed to do for a whole month without my best friend?!"

With that The statement I figured out something that would definitely make her feel better And also give me the confidence to finally tell her my feelings

"Hey I just Had an idea why don't you come with me" I spurted out nervously

"Really!?" She gasped

"Yea it Could be loads of fun and I'm sure my sister won't mind"

"You sure She won't mind you in a house alone with a girl" she questioned

"Actually That's something I've been meaning to talk to you about" I said coming to a Stop and turning to face her finally growing up the courage to finally tell her My feelings

"Alex You're my best friend and I really like you" I said and after a short pause she Responded with

"Page I really Like you too" which lifted my spirits a good bit

"So Alex I Was wondering if you would perhaps like to be my girlfriend instead of just min best friend" I said tightening up my muscles waiting for a response and praying That it would be yes

" Ohhhhhhh Page of course I would love to be your girlfriend you have no idea how long I've Been waiting for you to ask me" she said happily

After Hearing her say that my muscles relaxed and I pulled her into a tight hug

"Really I've Been wanting to ask you for the longest time and I just couldn't until now" I Said into her ear still hugging her

"We've been A best friend for over a year page you can tell me anything. Why were you so Scared to ask me out" she questioned back pulling back a little to look me in The face

"I.... I uh Don't really know" I stammered

"Aw you're So cute" she said as she slowly leaned in to kiss me which I met her half way And kissed her deeply something I've been wanting to do for gawd knows how Long.

We stood There in the middle of the sidewalk in the middle of Atlanta kissing one of the Most passionate kisses I've ever had. This kiss was like the kisses of stories Where you feel the spark the fireworks going off. I knew asking her out was a Great idea because I knew I loved this woman.

"Oh girl You could where a grocery sack and still be sexy to me" I said pulling her in to a side hug as we continued to walk down the side walk

"Well That's a creative complement. Thank you" she said elbowing me in the side playfully As we both started to laugh

"Hey would You will like to grab some snacks and a movie to watch tonight?" I asked

"That Sounds wonderful" she answered as we continued to walk down the sidewalk on our Way to Dmitry's the grocery store I work at.

The walkwas about 15 minutes to and fro so on the walk there we talked about what we Could do in Miami for a whole month. I thought we could just wing it I had Enough money to do whatever we felt like and my sister said she would pay for A good bit of our expenses if we needed her to. So we decided that we would not Have a plan for the trip and we both thought that it would be more fun that Way.

When we Arrived at Dmitry's we walked in through the automatic doors and I said

"Here babe Take my managerial card it will get you 50% off on whatever you buy" I said While pulling out my wallet and giving her my card that I was given by my boss Dmitry (Yes the store is named after him) this card was linked to my bank but only Worked at this store or any other Dmitry's across the south east and got me 50% Off anything in the store

"Wow thanks I know what exactly what to get!" she exclaimed excited that she could get what Ever she wanted. Even though she is a tomboyish girl she still loves to shop anywhere And for anything.

"It's my pleasure sweet heart" I said with a very southern accent "now I got to go talk to Dmitry about this vacation time" I said as I gave her a quick kiss as we Parted ways for the moment "oh hey you can follow Alex if you would like to Repede" I told Repede as he began to follow me but quickly changed his direction and Began to follow Alex who petted him as he started to follow along her side

As I walked Over to the front of the store and to the manager's office and yelled "YO DMITRY!" Something I often did to get his attention

And Out Walked a large black bear that was dressed in a button up dress shirt and a Bright green tie and khaki slacks. He was a thorough bread Russian he was born There but moved here when he was a kid to get a 'Great American education' heSaid in one of his stories he often told. He still had a thick Russian accent But it was easier to understand than in years past as he learned some of the American slang terms.

"Ah me mainman Page" he said as he rounded the wall of his office and walked out "so whydo ye grace meh with a visit on you day off" he spoke kindly

"I wanted to see how much vacation time I have gained over the past couple years I Haven't taken any so I should have a good bit" I answered

"Ah okay Let me see" he said as he walked behind the customer service desk that was Located right in the front of the store in front of all the cash registers. He Reached in to one of the many cubbies that were behind the desk and pulled out A clipboard and look through the papers.

"Ah you got About a month and a half vacation time and half of that is paid vacation" he Told me "so why do you want to know" he asked

"Oh IWanted to see if I could take some of that time off for the next few weeks cuzMy sister needs me to come down to Miami to watch her house and I thought it Would be a great place to have vacation"

"Oh yeathat vill be fine mah boy" he said as he patted me rather roughly on my back "vaht day would you like to start and vhat day will you be back?" he said as he Pulled a pin out of his chest pocket and clicked it and held it to the board to Get ready to write down the days I would be gone

"I would Like to start tomorrow and ill be back in about four to five weeks which should Be less than the time I'm allowed" I said

As I spoke He wrote down on the schedule that was clipped to the board "so you will have May 4th Thru June 6th Off and if you a day or so over That's okay with me. Just call me the day you return to town so I can add you to The next schedule alright?" he said as he set the clipboard back down and Returned the pen back to his chest pocket

"Cool Thanks Dmitry" I said as I shook his hand then turned to walk away "now I got to go find my girlfriend" I said to myself as I began to walk up and down the Isles looking for her as I entered the candy aisle I saw a figure in a pink Hoodie pushing a cart and grabbing a bunch of junk food items. I slowly crept Up on her and snaked my arms around her abdomen and hugged her in one swift movement Causing her to let out a surprised meep as I hugged her nuzzled the side of her Muzzle and said "hey babe" squeezing her a little tighter "So what you got for Us tonight" I added while I looked into the cart to see several different bags Of candies and 2 bags of Doritos nacho cheese and cool ranch. I laughed because We could never decide which ones were better so we always have both and a 12 Pack of Dr. pepper and another pack of Mtn dew "mmmmm looks like we're getting Fat tonight" I said sarcastically

"Yep we sure are" she giggled as she returned my nuzzled

"Hey I was Also thinking maybe I could make you dinner tonight instead of ordering out Like we usually do when we hang out" I said with a happy smile as I began to release The embrace and began to walk beside her as we continued down the isle.

"Wair you Can cook?" she questioned

"Yea I'm actually Pretty decent says my dad and sister back when we lived in the same house" I Said humbly

"Why have You never cooked for me before?" she asked

"Well you Never asked and I've just never thought about it and I guess I also had the Thought that was a kind of romantic thing for a guy to do for a girl so I just Never brought it up" I answered truthfully

"True" she Said as she began to ponder the thought of me being the cook in this new Relationship

"So would You like me to cook for you?" I repeated my question eagerly requesting an Answer

"That would Be great!" she said excitedly "what do you have in mind for tonight?" she asked As a little rumble radiated from both of our stomachs

"I was thinking I could cook some chicken Alfredo its one of my best dishes" I said humbly as I Only got complements before from my dad and my sis

"Mmmm that Sounds wonderful" she answered

"Yay glad You're excited! Now we need to pick up some ingredients" I said as we headed out Of the candy isle and towards the cooking isle where I found all the necessary ingredients We needed. After I gathered what I needed we checked out and headed home with The bounty of groceries we acquired it was a little more of a troublesome walk since We had to carry all of the groceries home and me being the gentleman that I am I carried most of it which I did not mind at all.

When we Arrived at my place I unlocked the door and shoved it open with my shoulder and Headed toward the kitchen and dropped off the items I was carrying on the Island in the middle of the kitchen

"Wow what a Haul" I said tiredly "I probably should have taken my car" I said regretfully

"Aw don't Say that if you would of taken your car you would not of been able to ask me Out today" Alex said with a wide grin which only made me smile just as big

"True very true and if I would of taken my car I would not be able to do this" I said as I Walked over to Alex and pulled in to a deep kiss snaking my tongue in to her Maw. When I broke the kiss Alex smiled and licked my nose playfully

"Oh man am I glad you walked today" she said lustfully

"Me too" I Said gazing deep into her eyes just taking in how beautiful she was

"So want to Help me put these groceries up then i'll start on dinner" I said as I broke ourEmbrace and walked over to the pile of groceries on the island table

"Okie dokie Then" she answered happily as we began to put the items in their designated Places. Sodas in the fridge as well as any other cold things that we bought and All of candy and junk food we put those onto the kitchen table and then I Began to cook dinner

I started Preparing everything for the meal and that consisted of 2 packages of pre cut Chicken breast two cloves of garlic a ½ quart of heavy whipping cream 2 wedges Parmesan cheese and lastly 3 sticks of salted butter. (This is an actual recipe I dabble a little in cooking in real life)

You start By melting the butter in a medium saucepan and add the heavy whipping cream and Whisk it to an even mix. Next you take the Parmesan and shred them on a large Greater and lightly stir the cheese in to the saucepan until the cheese evenly Melts. To cook the chicken you inspect the cuts of breast for any excess fat And cut the fat away then you cut them in to small cubes and throw them onto a Skillet on about a medium heat setting and cook them in some teriyaki and worshcishire to taste and cook them evenly till they are easy to chew and not over cooked While you cook the chicken I suggest that you start to boil your noodles off Choice (I prefer fettuccine noodles)

It took me About 30 - 45 min to cook this recipe and while I was cooking it Alex made her Self comfy slipping out of her street clothes and in to one of my shirts and a pair Of my gym shorts and closed herself up on the couch and began to search Netflix On my Xbox for something good to watch while I made dinner. When I was done and Made our bowls and called her in to the kitchen while setting the bowls of the Place settings I made on the island.

"Alex Dinners ready" I called

"Yay" I heard Her squeak as she threw off the blanket she was using and dashed into the A kitchen where she took the seat in the chair I kindly pulled out for her

"Mmmmm it Smells so good" she said as she took a long whiff all the pleasant aromas that Were wafting through the apartment

"Well dig It tastes just as good as it smells" I said as I sat down at my seat just Across the table from her.

And with those instructions we both dug in savoring the flavor of my culinary masterpiece We both sat in silence to busy enjoying the food to really mouth anything to Say

We both Finished our bowls rather fast

"That was wonderful Baby I should have you cook more often" she said as she dabbed some of the food Off her mussel with her napkin and politely set it in her bowl. She began to Get up to take her bowl to the sink

"Hey now you Don't missy" I said as I grabbed the bowl from her "you don't need to lift a Finger tonight I got this" I said as I placed our bowls in the sink along with My other used cooking ware and began to wash them

"Well aren't You the proper gentleman" she said as she hugged me from behind and nuzzled her Self in to my back "thank you so much" she said softly

"You're very Welcome" I answered caringly and she stayed there snuggled into my back as I Did the dishes I did not mind that much (who would) I thought. It only took me About two minutes to do the dishes then I washed my hands and turned around and Lifted her up and cradled her in my arms as I carried her back to the couch

"Now I got to Go get some more comfortable clothes on, be back in a Sec" I said as I leaned down And gave a quick smooch

"Okay" she Giggled as I skipped exaggeratedly into my room to grab a tee shirt and a pair Of gym shorts

I steppedBack into the living area

"Hey you Stole my outfit" Alex said sarcastically

"Hey I Thought we would be cute if we were all matches," I said in a very androgynous Voice and putting my hand on my hip and waving my hand

She just Giggled as I sat on the couch and leaned into the armrest and lifted my arm Offering her a place to lay and she accepted the offer and snuggled into my side and I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her into a tight hug

"So what Have you selected for us to watch tonight?" I asked as I noticed she grabbed my Xbox controller

"A Jason Stathemmovie I've never seen before its called Safe" she said as she cued it up and Hit play

"Wow I Haven't seen this either its got to be great if Jason is in it" I said as the The movie started I reached over Alex and grabbed a blanket and pulled over the Both of us and we snuggled closer together and began to watch the movie,

When the The movie was over I could tell that we both enjoyed it. I was a great action flick But it was definitely one of Jason's repetitive roles as a bad guy gone vigilante And saves someone with crazy stunts and blood and gore too.

"Wow what a great movie" I commented as a stretched my arms and re-draped them on to Alex's Side and gave her a slight squeeze

"Yea there Were so many explosions and fighting scenes. It was the tits!" she said

We both laughed

I realized it was getting late and was unsure if Alex wanted to stay the night or if she wanted me to take her home

"Oh wow its Two already" I stated as I stifled a yawn

"Oh wow it Am I guessing we should be getting to bed now," she said with a smile

"Yea IGuess we should" I replied coyly

"Oh hey you Know how I feel about premarital sex...." I began to say nervously as we stood up From the couch

"Yea I know Baby but that doesn't mean we can't cuddle," she said walking her hand up my Chest and poking my nose as she got up there

"Yep that I Do" she said breaking in to a toothy grin

"You remember that time on our soccer trip when you woke Kevin Up in the middle of the night trying to spoon him in your sleep" she started to Laugh rather hard

My face Just turned bright red that moment was one of the most embarrassing days of my life but that was the trip on which I accidently walked in to the shower and Found out that Alex was a girl.

"Okay that Was pretty funny even though now Kevin and I are great friends we hang out Almost every day at school well you know that we all get lunch together." I Said as I started to join her laughter she had the cutest face when she Laughed.

"Now that I Have a female to snuggle with I don't think Kevin will have anything to worry About" I said jokingly as I lifted her up cradling her like I did before and Walked toward the bedroom down the hall adjacent to the wall where my couch Was. My room was your standard college students' room except for one thing my A giant king size bed that took up most of my floor space.

The reason for me to have such a Big bed was because I sprawled out in my sleep and anything smaller than it andMy foot would hang off and that freaks me out I don't really know why but I always Feel like something might grab my foot.
