The sound coming from the flute was sweet and relaxing. In that area of the jungle you could hear only the sweet melody: that melody could hypnotize any snake.

When he had finished the performance, Mowgli smiled: he hated to admit it, but he was happy to be able to still play the flute. In addition, the melody would surely hypnotized Kaa, so he had nothing to fear.

But, thinking back to the melody just played, Mowgli felt a strange sensation. He did not know what it was, but he felt calmer. He decided to play again that melody and, brought the flute to his mouth, began his musical performance .

Finished playing for the second time that song, Mowgli felt again that strange feeling. He thought he was feeling happy because he knew still play the flute, but something in his head told him he still had to play the melody.

Mowgli, for the third time, played the flute and, playing every note, that feeling grew. The boy stopped: he wanted to understand what it was that feeling and why he liked it so much. He immediately excluded the idea that music could hypnotize all: the day that he had heard it, played by the snake charmer, he had not felt anything strange.

Mowgli closed his eyes and, from memory, repeated throughout the score. A sensation of warmth made ??him open his eyes. He looked around, fearing that someone was there.

After making sure that he was still alone, he sat down and played the flute for the fourth time. The feeling of warmth was felt again, but Mowgli did not mind: on the contrary, that heat was really enjoyable. The boy seemed to feel the same way he felt when he walked among the people. Thinking about all the times that people looked at him, even though he did not understand the reason for, the boy began to play the flute, enjoying that wonderful feeling of warmth.

As he played, Mowgli closed his eyes and imagined to walk among the people. He saw people who looked at him and some people who fainted as he passed. The boy opened his eyes and saw that, instead of being in a crowded place, he was alone in the jungle.

Mowgli, however, noticed a peculiarity common to two places: as happened when he walked among the people, now he had a bulge in his pants.

The boy smiled and wondered why people looked that bulge. He wanted to do an experiment: playing the flute again keeping his eyes open and focusing on the place where he was at that time.
