Walt's Imagination: Prolouge
This is my upload for the week. Enjoy, though it is pretty short.
Note: Due to the shortness of this upload, I may upload another chapter later this week or even today
Ossie, Michael, and I slunk up the stairs on a dare. What we found on the other side, however, was beyond our imaginations. My name is Mortimer. Michael is my twin, and Oswald is my little brother. (Old timey names, I know. Tell that to our parents.) We were in Epcot, at Walt Disney World. At least that is what they tell us is Disney World. Most people haven’t gone up the stairs in Imagination Works, or as we like to call it, Figment Land. Now, back to the stairs. So, Michael had dared Oswald to go up the stairs, all the way up. You know, the stairs in the gift shop. Michael didn’t trust dear Ossie to go up all the way, as Oswald is a bit, err, faint of heart. As me and Michael say, ‘He’s a coward, Mom! He’s afraid, Dad!’’ Anyways, so we climbed the stairs together, all slink-like, and at the top there was this door. A regular office door, like you would see downstairs, in the ride. The door was blue, wood with a plastic sheet set into it. On the sheet, five words were inscribed in black, blocky text: Walt’s Imagination. Do Not Enter!!! Of, course, we had to go inside. Michael said, “Open the door, Morty!”
I said, “No, let Ossie do it.” And of course, Oswald said to open the door ourselves, and that he was to have no part in whatever is on the other side, thank-you-very-much. So I ended up opening it. A bright light emanated from the open doorway, and we went in, with Oswald clinging to me, and Michael leading us into the unknown.
