"Send your pretender. A man; divine his power

Who dares judge or question; these words scripted by liars

Gross intervention; proclaims their one desire

Distorting the facts from; ancient voices tired..."

_ - Pretender - James Labrie _

They've stayed in the woods up to the afternoon. It was clear for Kyle that Rak'Shi have learned how to handle his gun properly now, but still he couldn't dispense some worries for her safety. Sure she was big... adult dragoness, and all, but sometimes she showed carelessness of a newly hatched whelp, and that really puzzled him. After all she should know herself very well of the importance of those skills he taught her considering what she has been through already, but he had a feeling of her not paying all of the required attention to what he had taught her, and was more interested in doing... Well, other things. As if regardless of her previous statements she actually disregarded the dangers involved with the whole situation and her former pimp. And that was unwise, to say the least.

He recalled some scraps of school knowledge he still possessed about earth's reptilian animals, gators for instance, how the females ceded all aggression onto males, and rely completely on them for protection, and other things, and started to suspect that here he faced the same situation. And that made him very worried.

He really couldn't be with her all the time. He had to work, earn money or they'd starve or worse. Even if he would need to resort to brown-nosing to Var'Lsh so he would accept him into the city watch after he rejected his offer earlier, so he wouldn't be too far too long from her, still that wasn't enough. The easiest way was just to find this guy, and eliminate him from the whole equation, but again that was the way that most likely would cause even more trouble. Trouble he couldn't afford to fell into just yet.

"One thing at a time" - he admonished himself.

If he couldn't eliminate it, he should minimize the threat as much as possible.

  • What are you thinking about? - asked Rak'Shi nudging him with the tip of her wing - You're strangely silent all of the sudden.

  • Oh, this and that... - he answered gathering her closer with his arm, and planting a quick kiss on the top of her snout. She in return smacked him in the butt with her tail, but not hard at all.

He frowned all of the sudden, seeing approaching column of knights, with Var'Lsh riding to the side. Kyle waved a hand at him in greeting, that made the draconian stop as the column rode along.

  • What's going on - Kyle asked catching the reins of Var'Lsh's mount

  • We've got word of patrician's party got ambushed - he said - Most of them were killed. Patrician was taken prisoner.

  • What? The horde?

  • Highly unlikely. They aren't taking prisoners... Can you come?

That question was actually anything but what Kyle had expected, and made him speechless for a quick moment. But just after that he shook his head and motioned to Rak'Shi.

  • I can't - he said - I have my mate here to take care...

He was cut off in the middle of the sentence by a firm prod in the back.

  • We both know you want to - said Rak'Shi giving him another prod with her tail - Go on. I can take care of myself.

  • Yea, but...

  • I'm a big girl - she said licking him on the cheek - with a gun to match. I'll be okay.

  • Make up your mind - said Var'Lsh as the column of knights rode further away from them - and do so with haste.

  • I can't - said Kyle firmly - I don't even have a mount.

Var'Lsh just extended his arm at this, offering a place behind him on his mount.

  • That settles it then - Rak'Shi spoke cheerfully patting Kyle on the back, just above the stasis module. - Go, and make me proud.

Kyle didn't like this one bit. If Rak'Shi would come to any harm while he was away, he would not be able to live with himself now. But if he would say no this time...

He grabbed Var'Lsh extended arm and lift himself up to swiftly take place behind him.

Rak'Shi stood there for the moment to watch as they departed, and sighed lovingly. She checked the gun lodged behind her belt, and headed for the city.

They've reached the battleground just before the sunset. Wrecked carts, draconian bodies and large scorch marks marked the ground everywhere around. Var'Lsh ordered the most of the squad to spread-out, and walked slowly alone through the crossroads carefully observing the scene, and crouched beside one of the carts, as the rest lit up the place with torches; what left of one anyway. Kyle walked in the other direction, not wanting to interrupt him in his investigation.

  • That's strange - he heard Var'Lsh's voice - They didn't touched the supplies. Gold, food... Everything is left in place, or burned-out.

  • Maybe that wasn't the thing they were after. - said Kyle crouching beside overturned corpse and turning it back. - That's messy...

  • And the scorch marks? Magic?

  • I wouldn't tell...

A helmet covered Kyle's head, and the corpse in his HUD has been covered with digital net for detailed analysis.

  • So... - said Var'Lsh standing up and looking at Kyle - Mates...

  • Yea. You don't seem to be particularly happy about it.

  • It's not my place to question her judgment - he responded - It's her life.

  • But you do find it distasteful, do you..? - Kyle pressed on, while SSAM processed gathered information.

Var'Lsh didn't answered to that and his silence spoke volumes. Kyle realized that he would be gathering that kind of reaction from everywhere; some of them might be even hostile. After all no one liked the idea of the females of their own kind mating with foreign males. It was like that with humans, so why not with draconians. After all they seemed to be even more territorial than humans.

Kyle hmphed loudly raising his head, and turned to look at another body nearby. He stood up and walked to it, and gave it a thorough scrutiny, and another after that.

  • What? - asked Var'Lsh walking to him.

  • What kind of weapons do you have here - Kyle asked suddenly

  • Swords spears, few crossbows...

  • I mean generally speaking.

  • What are you getting at?

  • Those are gunshot wounds. - he said looking at the draconian knight - Do you know anyone who uses firearms around here?

  • Firearms?

Kyle rolled his eyes at this, took out his rifle and without any special aiming, fired a single shot at the wooden road sign, making it burst with cascade of splinters.

  • That's a firearm - he said looking at Var'Lsh meaningfully, and sighed at his dumbfound expression - Judging by your reaction that's a negative...

"No. They wouldn't..." - he thought standing up, and putting the rifle back on the hip.

  • You know something - Said Var'Lsh watching Kyle's every move.

  • I suspect. But I don't have enough data, yet...

He activated his RIG's signal amplifier and opened a wide-spectrum com-link channel.

  • Paul; Jurgen. - he stated, but there was no response.

He boosted the signal some more, and tried again.

  • Steinbach, Lemarhand; respond. That's a direct order. - he articulated this sentence with all the authority he could muster.

Still no response.

Either he was out of range, or...

  • And? - asked Var'Lsh. Kyle noticed that he suddenly was in the center of attention.

  • Something's not right... - he said - Any trails?

  • I thought you'll tell me.

  • I can tell you anything, beside how they died...

  • Sir Var'Lsh! - spoke one of the draconians reaching for something on the ground - This doesn't look like...

  • No! - shouted Kyle - Don't touch it!

The knight ignored him and picked a small, cylindrical object from the ground. He was about to turn around, when something suddenly clicked. Kyle just barely managed to hit the ground, before the cylinder exploded with a loud bang. The knight's body just disappeared, due to the close proximity of the detonation; liquefied remains just gushed all around, covering the area in a crimson goo. Along with that, a wave of sharp-edged, metallic splinters killed or injured greater part of the remaining knights. Only Kyle, Var'Lsh and two, maybe four of them remained more or less unharmed. Even though Kyle had his suit on, the explosion took her toll on him, he could imagine how the others felt.

  • From now on you'll do exactly what I say - Kyle snarled getting up in frustration. Loud ringing in his ears didn't help on his mood - Got it?!

  • What the hell was it?! - roared one of the knights.

  • Anti-Personnel landmine. A booby-trap. - said Kyle suddenly losing balance, resting his shoulder on a nearby tree, and clumsily slid back to the ground - Damn, I'm getting too old for that crap!

He sit there for a moment, until the bells in his ears fell silent, and he could see straight once more. Abruptly he felt someone grabbing him and lifting him up, pressing heavily to the tree trunk. It was Var'Lsh.

  • You are going to tell me now everything you know, or I'll force it out of..!

Kyle's reaction was instant. SSAM quickly localized appropriate nerve clusters, and marked them with blinking crosshairs on the HUD. Kyle raised both of his hands above draconian's head in a mantis-like posture and mashed outstretched index and middle fingers of his both hands just behind Var'Lsh's collarbones, and twisted his wrists ninety degrees outwards and all the way back. As a finishing touch he pushed the draconian away. Seeing as he stumbled to the ground, and grabbed his throat Kyle retracted his helmet and walk to him. Var'Lsh looked at him shocked, unable to make a sound, he reached for him with a shaking paw.

  • You see... All of us are build pretty much the same way. After all, we are made by the same thing. For instance we all have a thing in here - Kyle rubbed his own throat with a finger - that shuts while we swallow, preventing the food from getting into lungs. I've locked your arteries, and flooded that thing with your blood, so it swelled, and that forced it to stay shut. If I don't fix this, you will suffocate. Of course, you can rip your throat open, but what would be the point of that? Suffocation, or bleeding out...

Var'Lsh paw grabbed the clavicular plate of Kyle's suit and shook him violently; demanding, urging... Pleading... Kyle was impressed at how much strength he still could muster, regardless of what a mess his nervous system probably was. Really impressed. When his instructor preformed this on him, Kyle was barely able to twitch...

  • Just don't take my frivolous attitude for a weakness - said Kyle grabbing draconian's wrist and wrenching the paw off his suit - I am deadly.

With a quick, harsh move he turned Var'Lsh snout-down to the ground, and then placed a knee between his wings. Good thing he was wearing a chainmail, and not a plate armor; He would be dead before Kyle would be able to take it off him. He grabbed both of his arms and levered them upward, while pressing his knee down. Var'Lsh roared loudly, and rolled to the left when Kyle released his grip. He stayed on the ground for a moment, gasping for air.

  • It doesn't matter how big and strong you are - said Kyle louder seeing how the rest are watching the scene - in the end that's all just deadweight. Now, back to business at hand... Thanks to mr. firecracker there, the attackers most assuredly has been alarmed to our presence. If they won't start masking their tracks, they'll fortify their position and await the pursuers to deal with them permanently. Of course I wouldn't presume to even dare and order you around, but I... "Respectfully suggest" you start heeding my advices... " O noble knights"...

He stopped hearing a sword being dragged out of its sheath...

  • Oh... - he hissed - So unwise...

Remaining draconians have surrounded him with their weapons drawn. He stood there motionless, gazing intently at some point far away. RIG automatically engaged the kinetic enhancers in his suit first to level Kyle's strength with attackers, and then to boosted it a bit more, to gave him the edge over them. He managed to grab the pole from the road sign, and broke it in two on his knee, thus obtaining two medium length blunt weapons, before first of them attacked.

Kyle dodged the blow and with swift pirouette he struck him in the back of the head, sending him to the ground unconscious. He passed another blow on his right, blocking another one with both sticks crossed. A quick movement with his wrists, deprived draconian of his weapon, and powerful kick in the guts, gave Kyle enough time to drop the sticks, and take the sword. SSAM warned him about attack on his back, so Kyle ducked, just in time to dodge and the sword slashed the draconian in front of him. Automatically his blade cut vertically, where the attacker should be, and Kyle have felt the blade penetrating someone's flesh.

Actually for him it was more like watching a movie of sorts. He was behind a glass watching himself twisting and turning, avoiding the hits and dealing them to anyone who dared come too close.

  • No! - He shouted resting his hands upon the glass - Those are dragons! You're killing dragons, you son of a bitch! Never dragons!!

Another knight fell to the ground, with blood gushing from the wound on the throat and in Kyle's hand there was a second sword now. His moves resembled more dance now than actual combat. Someone untrained would have seen them as made just for show, and that would be the last mistake he would ever made. Everything that was transpired there was carefully calculated by his RIG and preformed with a deadly precision by nanite-augmented muscles and nerve connections. Each slice was measured, blow balanced and adjusted to situation at hand; no unnecessarily moves, that would squander energy, and tire him prematurely. He used the TK-module to nail the last knight to the tree trunk with both swords, one through the guts, and the other through the throat.

Only Var'Lsh remained alive. He slowly took his rifle out, and traced the laser pointers from the tail, to his chest. His helmet retracted exposing his emotionless expression, and a pair of eyes black as coal, without whiteness nor color within them. Somewhere in the background flashed a lightning exposing two twisted spires of the black marker. The bodies of the fallen knights started changing, morphing into all too well known shapes. They were standing behind him rows by rows...

Kyle started whacking at the glass with clenched fists, shouting louder and louder, lashing out his growing fury in desperate helplessness.

  • NOT HERE!! I WON'T LET YOU TO DO IT HERE!!

The glass started braking, rifle fired and then...

He woke up.

It was a middle of the night, and sit up in the bed panting hard and trembling, while his adrenaline rush was wearing off. That was just a dream, but it was so freakin real... He felt a paw rested suddenly on his shoulder, that made him tense up for the moment, but he relaxed knowing who it was.

  • Are you okay? - asked Rak'Shi raising herself to embrace her mate lovingly

  • Yes - he said managing to keep emotions of his voice - I think I've slept enough for the night...

  • It has been but a few hours...

Kyle stood up from the bed and walked naked to the window. He sat there on a chair and watched the stars in silence. It was too real to be just a mere dream... More like a... premonition...

Rak'Shi debated with herself briefly whether she should go back to sleep or not, and coming to a conclusion she got up as well. Slowly making her way towards her mate sitting by the window, she sat on his lap and cuddled to him, rubbing the tip of her snout on his cheek.

  • Something is bothering you? - she asked softly - Do you want to talk about it?

He looked in those orange reptilian eyes with vertical pupils and tried to smile softly.

  • If I knew myself - he said returning the caresses

  • Let's get back to bed - she crooned - I have something that will make you fall asleep in no time.

She smiled and begun to lick his lips fondly, and she felt him respond eagerly to her actions. Kyle stood up, taking her into his arms and slowly carried her to bed, while they were still kissing passionately. He was constantly amazed at the amount of warmth that clearly cold-blooded creature was able to give to him. Most assuredly much more than he ever received from any human women, he has been with. All of them were focused primarily on themselves, intend on drawing the pleasure for themselves, and not paying attention to the other side of the matters. Kyle had almost chuckled at how much they could have learned from Rak'Shi assuming of course their pride would allow them to. All in all Kyle felt obliged to return as much pleasure to her mate as he could. Even if just to show his appreciation for the privilege of being with her.

Sha'Rae stood on the balcony overlooking the northern part of the city, and sighed deeply to herself. Sight of the farmyards at the evening had always worked wonders on her. This time however it was different. A chilly breeze that came from the sea washed her over, making her shudder visibly. It wasn't out of cold, or at least not entirely. For once, her father was about to return from his inspection, and she knew all too well just how... Impulsive he was at times. Though he never had actually hurt her, but his anger... He certainly knew how to be a very scary drake.

And there was still one other issue - Kyle. Despite being away, despite not seeing him from the day he brought her back home her affection to him has grown very strong. She recalled on multiple occasions those few moments they've spent together; the warmth of his body that he shared with her at nights; his scent, that she came to associate with safety and security; the meals they had together, and the jokes she played on him... And the dreams she had, that were involving them both in, well rather inappropriate behavior, that always ended prematurely for some reason. After one more vivid she found herself cuddled to tightly rolled bed sheets lodged between her thighs smeared with her juices...

Good thing no one had seen her. Even now it was awkward as she thought about it.

Of course she could have guessed her father's reaction to this; even her mother would be less than happy if she would knew Sha'Rae's feelings towards that particular male. Him being a commoner was bad enough, but him not being a draconian... She bend forward, resting her snout on the balustrade and traced a pattern in the wood with a talon.

Not for the first time she wondered what was so special about him, that made her feel that way, and as always she couldn't find an coherent answer. He was different, exotic... And yet so very... She snarled a quiet curse abruptly standing upright, and turning away from the view and returning to her chambers. She tried to occupy herself with a game, but couldn't focus on anything for long enough to actually make something of it.

She returned to bed, cuddling to rolled-up bed sheets and drifted off to sleep.

Rak'Shi awoke with a delicious shudder. She was laying on her side, with one of Kyle's arms wrapped around her belly. She looked down little further. Her thighs were spread apart, and she could clearly see Kyle's manhood entering her, at an agonizingly slow pace all the way up to his balls, and coming out almost all the way, with only the very tip remaining still engulfed with her outer lips. That was some wonderful way to wake up...

  • You didn't fell asleep, did you... - she purred almost accusingly, turning her head in his direction and nudged him on the nose with her snout

  • Nope - he said nudging her back - enjoying yourself?

  • Perrrrrhaps... You know, you could speed things up a bit... Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

  • You think? - he grinned - And to what purpose?

  • Entertainment, what else?

  • Oh? And you don't find this entertaining?

  • I certainly do, but you could make it even more so, you know...

  • Anything you desire - he said, pulling out completely, and allowing her to mount him - Is that satisfactory?

  • Oh, definitely - she grinned back and begun to ride him, with her paws rested on his shoulders and eyes slammed shut.

Kyle grinned to himself, sitting up and trying to wrap his arms around her, but she pushed him back to laying position, and gripping her paws on his shoulders even more sped up the pace. At first he wanted to protest, and provoke a power struggle, but when he saw her expression, he decided to let her have it her way. He wanted her to get as much pleasure from it as possible. He grin grew even wider as he considered just how much Rak'Shi had changed since their first time. From lowly submissive sex toy, to a proud and occasionally dominant dragoness. To see her true self blossoming was more of a reward for him than anything else.

She snarled something that his RIG again had problems with translating, but Kyle didn't complain. It did a hell of a job modulating all those warbles, hisses and roars into words and words into warbles without him even noticing that. Good thing he didn't had to read the signs... That would have been awkward. There was one thing however, that he could do without...

"I really have to start to wear my suit on at times" - he thought when Rak'Shi claws dug into his shoulders causing him to grit his teeth forcefully. He did nothing to stop her however. She was clearly enjoying herself, and the pain she caused him wasn't that bad for him not to be able to endure it for some time.

She came rather quickly and powerfully, roaring her pleasure aloud, and making his wounds even more severe, and when she finally came off her high she looked at him critically and said

  • You didn't come...

  • I do have limitations, you know. - he said - Not getting any younger as well...

  • Rubbish - she said, and was about to continue but she abruptly caught the sight of her talons dug deep into his flesh, and his blood spilling onto them and soaking the sheets with crimson.

She gasped a bit shocked and quickly pulled them out.

  • I'm sorry - she said bending forward and licking the blood of his shoulders - I'm so sorry, I...

  • What are you doing?! - he almost shouted - Don't... Did you just licked my blood?

  • Relax... It's not like I'm a vampire or something...

  • You don't understand. My blood is teeming with nanites. You swallowed it and now they got into you... They will start multiply and...

  • Oh, come on - she interrupted - they don't hurt you, so what can they do to me?

  • Worst case scenario? Your body will melt into a pond of blobby goo. They're not doing anything dangerous to me, because they are set on my DNA code. I don't know how they will react on you. Oh man...

He rubbed his forehead trying to figure a way out of the situation, but there seemed to be none... Unless...

  • Excuse me for a moment - he said pulling her off him and getting off the bed.

  • Kyle..?

He waved a hand at her in something that supposed to be a calming gesture, and walked to the chest of drawers. He pulled the one at the bottom and after a moment of searching, he took out a small box and brought it back to bed. He opened it by pressing two buttons on the both sides, uncovering a set of syrettes

  • You see - he started taking two of them - The real problem is that the nanites set on my DNA may damage yours irreversibly. But if your genes would be already nanite-imbued, they should adapt to them... We need a fresh dose of those to make it work... Do you trust me?

  • Yes - she responded instantly looking at him

  • Then there is no other way - he said, extending his arm in her direction.

She hesitated just for a moment, before placing her paw in his hands. Kyle pulled her closer to himself, so she leaned on him with her back and with a thumb and index finger of his free hand he twisted the top of the syrette, making the small needle sprung from it. It was too small for her scales, but...

  • I would warn you that they will make you sterile, but you already are, so that's a win-win, right? Tongue.

She obeyed exposing her tongue to his view. He took it in between his fingers, in search for the biggest vein, and finding it he plunged the needle in, squeezing the syrette to the end. Then he took another one and did the same on the other side of the tongue. He cuddled the dragoness afterwards onto his chest, rubbing her neck with a gentle hand.

  • I-It's getting hot - she whispered - Kyle...

  • Shh... I'm here - he said kissing her on the top of her snout - I'm always here.

He held her tight when her body started to shudder, doing his best to prevent her from injuries that her uncontrollable motions could cause, and stayed like that until they have subsided. Her body fell limp, and for the moment Kyle got scared she didn't make it through the conversion, but she was still breathing, and a quick test with her pupils reacting to change in the light intensity assured him that she was alive and sustained no serious damage to her nervous system. She just needed to rest... He remembered when he undergo that procedure he was unable to move through all day afterwards. Nanites did something with mitochondria, that caused all the ATP to discharge suddenly, and it took some time to be replenished. Good thing it didn't stop her heartbeat, nor breathing...

He put her on the bed comfortably, and covered her with bed-sheets. Getting off the bed he walked to the table with his coin-pouch.

Sweets.

He needed sweets...

Lots and lots of sweets.

With that in mind he left the room and headed into the market.

He managed to return before she woke up, despite the commotion on the main street. It appeared that Sha'Rae's father has finally returned from his journey, and most of the city inhabitants were out to greet him. Kyle saw him riding on one of those lizard beasts, wearing dark heavy armor and a long, scarlet cloak with golden line on the edges, and a golden dragon head in the center with two swords crossed in the background.

His scales were the same color as Sha'Rae's, so that's how he recognized him.

Then he saw Var'Lsh with few knights approach him, helping him dismount and leading him into the castle, while rest of his escort took care of their mounts.

"So much for the ambush and getting imprisoned" - he thought for himself and wondered about the meaning of his dream.

He learned some time ago not to take those too lightly, because they had a nasty way of becoming a reality. Dragons killed by firearms, and he himself doing the marker's dirty deeds... Even though his dementia was long gone, or at least didn't show any symptoms, his mind still was burning with ability to create and destroy the markers, but he really had a lid on it. Not even UESA interrogators could force that knowledge out of him. Though they tried.

No matter. That knowledge will die with him, and if only he could locate and destroy local black marker, everything would cease once and for all. At least that's what he hoped for.

"I mean look around" - he thought heading back home - "All peaceful and quiet; blissfully unaware of the daemons that lurk in the darkness of space. I make sure they won't get the taste of it. Even if it kills me..."

Back home he placed the bag on the table, going to the bed to check on Rak'Shi still sleeping. Her body was warm and not so limp as before. She breathed steadily, and her eyes moved around under her eyelids. She was dreaming it seemed.

He walked back to the table, after adjusting her bed sheets, and started to taking out his purchases. Pouring a fresh water into a mug, he added a hefty dose of honey to it and mixed it until it became one liquid. Then he returned to the bed. Sitting on the edge he carefully lifted her head up to his chest bending it upwards, and started to pour the liquid to her. Slowly and carefully, rubbing her throat, forcing her to swallow.

She coughed suddenly opening her eyes in panic, but she relaxed when she saw Kyle, and let him finish what he was doing.

  • Well - she whispered - Did it worked?

  • You're alive, aren't you - he smiled at her, and kissed her gently - Don't try to get up just yet. You need to build your strength up.

  • Honey?

  • Yeah. It's the quickest way. Though you should eat a large meal regardless.

  • Mmmm... I'm hungry - she purred feeling the twitch in her stomach, and hearing it growl loudly.

  • Already on it - Kyle kissed her once more and rested her head back on the pillow - Five more minutes.

  • Oh, god... - she purred when she tasted freshly cooked meat, that he had brought to her, and sitting behind her he begun to kneed her wing muscles in relaxing massage

  • You may call me Kyle - he chuckled back planting a quick kiss on her neck

  • Asshole - she muttered and took another piece of meat.

  • That's no way to talk to a god, you know... Fire from skies, raining frogs...

  • Not any less of an asshole... Where were you all of my life?

  • I was... Otherwise occupied. I've told you already...

  • So you did...

He extended delicately her wing, rubbing the delicate membrane with the tips of his fingers, tracing the thin digits there. He noticed how their color have changed, taking up deeper shades, and adding a feeling of sharpness to the edges. Her scales felt a lot smoother and their color have also changed in the same way, as well as her horns. They looked sharper and healthier than before.

All thanks to nanites.

He wondered what else about her has been changed, when he heard her voice, encrusted in a low purr.

  • I do have two wings, you know...

  • It has to wait it's turn. - he replied.

She looked back at him, and frowned at his expression.

  • What?

  • I suppose you would like to go and find yourself a proper dragon for mate now.

  • Who would want me...

  • Come on - he said getting up and motioning her to do the same - I'll show you something

  • Wait, what are you...?

  • Trust me.

He led her to the bathroom, positioning them both in front of the mirror there, and standing behind her. He motioned her wings to spread lightly apart with his arms, to help display their full glamour. Rak'Shi was speechless. She looked at her own reflection in the mirror as if she would see herself for the first time. And in a way she did.

  • Something's missing - murmured Kyle going out of the bathroom - Just a sec...

She heard him searching for something, and he returned with a medium sized pouch. He opened it, and took out something she couldn't see from her perspective. Then she saw him turning to face her once more, carrying a delicate silver net with pearls on it in his hand. He put it on her wing, attaching it to the clawed tip, and taking another piece of the jewelry he did the same on her other wing. As a finishing touch he put a necklace on her, made from silver in the same manner as those pieces on her wings, and placing his hands on her flanks he looked at their reflections in the mirror.

  • Yes - he said with a wide grin - That's better... Don't you think?

Rak'Shi looked at the sight in the mirror with her maw wide open.

  • C-can we really afford it? - she asked shyly touching the necklace to make sure its real.

  • I still have fifty coins, so... Yes we can. Well, what do you think?

She didn't speak. Instead she turned around wrapping her arms and wings around her mate and kissed him passionately. Her tail moved in to the front to entangle his waist and she pressed her body into him with clearly lustful intentions.

  • I don't know if we should so soon... - he tried to speak, but she interrupted him placing a gentle talon on his lips

  • I'm not made of glass, Kyle - she purred, gazing in his eyes with all the love she could muster - I won't shatter.
