Ladra slept peacefully in the arms of his new boyfriend Shadow, smiling in his sleep as he dreamed of fantastical creatures, both beautiful and horrendous, benign and malevolent. Surrounded by them as his heart opened up and a light emanated from his core to his back in a bright aura of wings.Shadow held the human tight in his sleep as he had a light nightmare. He was lost in a pit of black, no light in sight except a small dot far above, shining only very thin rays down into the world of black. "No, no, no, not here! Anywhere but here!" He flew toward the light only to be met by a horrendous face, one of darkness and death written in the deep creases of his sneer, the face of his father... Ladra felt Shadow's nightmare as he cringed at the face that had haunted his dreams. He reached out his hand in the real world to touch Shadow's heart. His aura illuminating a soft glow that reached into Shadow's dream and lighted his way past the nightmare into his boyfriend's love and warmth. Shadow tried to fly away from the face of his father but he appeared around every corner. He struck him down to the hard ground and stood high above him. The demon lord raised his sword and when he was going to bring it down, Shadow flinched, but the blow did not come, instead he felt warm and safe. Shadow opened his eyes to see the smiling face of his sweet Ladra smiling down at him. In robes of white and wings of light. He held out a hand a Shadow took it. Ladra smiled and pulled him up and out of the dark dream in shining light. Shadow slowly opened is eyes in the real world to see Ladra's hand on his chest with a soft glow. "H-he's an angel...." He whimpered lightly before trying to get out of bed.Ladra held onto Shadow before he could get out of bed, not wanting him to leave. The young human pulled his hand away to hold onto Shadow as he cried in his sleep. "Please don't leave me too..." Ladra had sensed something different in Shadow at that moment, a hint of darkness, but to the human, it was a darkness that was not evil, something natural and beautiful as the night filled with a full moon and trillions of stars. He gripped the wolf tightly as he wasn't going to let his love go without fighting for him. Shadow whimpered more and got back in bed holding Ladra tightly and nuzzling him lightly. "Never, I promise. You'll be my angel now."Ladra smiled to this as his core glowed for a moment before fading away. Returning back to a deep sleep in his wolf's arms as his cheek blushed from the nuzzles. Shadow smiled lightly and settled back down to sleep with his angel as he slowly went back to sleep.The two of them went fast to sleep for the night. After several hours of sleep the alarm blared through Ladra's slumber. Groaning as he reached over Shadow's shoulder to shut the damn thing off.Shadow growled lightly as he woke up. "Fuck......you......mornings...." Ladra turned to look at Shadow as

he said that and then bursted out laughing hysterically. Clutching his stomach as he tried to breath. "BWAUGHHAHAHAHA-HOWA-HAHA!" Shadow jerks his head and folds his ears back to cover them. "Dude! Right in my ears!" He shook his head a bit to get the ringing to stop.Ladra settled down and pounced on top of Shadow to give him a hug and a kiss. "Sorry hun, you're just so damn funny sometimes." Shadow grins as he takes on a Englishmanly like voice and placed his hand on his chest all posh and important. "Yes, I am quite great aren't I?"Ladra rolled his eyes as he kissed Shadow again and ruffled his fur on his head. "You're crazy man." He got up to go get a towel and shower."That may be but you love it!" He laughed and began gathering all the sheets and such to wash after last nights escapades, they needed it. He through on his shirt and pants from the pervious day and carried them down to the laundry room and through them in before going back upstairs, almost running right into Dr. Grey. "Oh, morning Doctor."Dr. Grey looked at Shadow and smelled a rather mysterious odor. "You should get washed up, meet me downstairs with Ladra when you're done, breakfast is nearly ready." He walked on downstairs. "Of coarse sir." He gave a light bow and headed upstairs, giving Ladra a kiss on the way by and hopped into the shower, making sure to wash away all the stank made from the fun they had had last night. He shook himself mostly dry while still in the shower, he got out and dried off as best he could got dressed again. Afterwards, he went downstairs and joined the two just as breakfast was getting done.Ladra looked up at him and smiled mischievously as he liked that they got away with their first night together. Looking over at Dr. Grey he wiped away his mouth and spoke. "Father can I ask you something?" Dr. Grey put down the newspaper he was reading and looked at his son through squared glasses. "Yes my boy?" Ladra looked back at Shadow and blushed as he looked back at his father. "Well Shadow and I were thinking...since we get along so well...and he lives alone and mostly spends his time with us other than sports. Could he move in?" Dr. Grey just stared at the two of them through uncomfortable silence as he thought about this before clearing his throat and taking off his glasses, a small smile growing on his lips. "I was wondering when you were going to ask me that. And I think it was about time. But...yes he may move in so long as he follows the same rules I've set for you and you both try not to make so raucous with your sex." He snickered at their surprised expressions. "Surely you do not think as an ignoramus. It was obvious to me you two had special feelings for each other, which of course I will give you blessing, just don't do anything foolish."Shadow's jaw hit the floor at the sex comment and shook his head. "Excuse the disrespect, but god damn doc, you got a great nose." He then grinned as he got out of his seat ran around the table and gave Ladra a nice big kiss. "Been waiting to do that since we woke up"Dr. Grey just smiled as he was happy that they could be together. To him this was the right thing to do, especially considering what they were, they were perfect for each other. "We'll shall I drive you both to school? Though I would rather have you stay Ladra after yesterday's plight." Ladra blushed and couldn't hear what his Dad was saying from the sheer happiness and surprise he had from all of this happening at once as he was he held and kissed. "Huwah? What? Oh yeah...no worries Father, Shadow can drive me if he wants too.""Hun, I actually agree with him, you should stay home today. After school, I'll come get you and we'll go to my place, pack up and then we can start getting me settled in ok? Besides, you don't want to see me when I get in.""No I'm going with you. Call me crazy but I think I can handle myself." Ladra had a never before seen confidence. Getting up and putting on his backpack."Ok then...." Shadow shook his head and when up to grab his bag, reappearing a few minutes later with his keys. "I'll drive Dr. Grey. Don't worry about Ladra, he'll be fine."Ladra stuck close to Shadow as they went into his car and drove off to school in his Camaro. "Thanks hun." "Anytime cutie." Shadow smiled and leaned over to give him a lick before looking back attune road and pulling into school. He parked in his usual spot and got out to grab their bags and give Ladra his as he slung his own over his shoulder. "Come on."Ladra smiled as he wrapped his arms around Shadow's belly and hugged him tightly, nuzzling his chest as others looked at them in shock and Ladra didn't give a shit. Shadow cocked a brow at the human's boldness and chuckled as he held in tight and gave his head a few affectionate licks, making his hair stick up a bit before looking up at his shocked teammates, lifted a hand, and flipped them off. "That's right, I'm gay. You got a problem, I'd be glad to.... Hear your complaints. But if anyone touches Ladra, I will end them."The gaggle of girls gasped and looked furious as Ladra chuckled and fixed his hair. Licking under Shadow's chin as many of the unpopulars as they were put cheered the two on. A few teaches appalled, others smiling, the rest not giving a damn. But the teammates did not like this at all. "Damn beau you really got my back." Shadow let out a laugh to all the different

reactions and got an idea for one last "fuck you" he brought up his paw and used his index to lift up Ladra's chin. When he was at the right angel, Shadow gave him a nice deep loving kiss. "Beau huh?""Yeah got a problem with that?" Ladra laughed as he punched him playfully in his abs and then kissed him back too. Just loving how his muzzle took over his flatter human mouth. "Not at all. Now come on, class is about to start." He locked my car and pocketed the keys before giving on last warning. "And if any ding bat gets the bright idea to mess with my car as well, the punishment will just as bad." With that he interlaced his fingers with Ladra's and walked on.Ladra smiled as they had English literature now. They were reading on about Greek mythology, somehow the subject of the fantastical intrigued him so. He sat right next to Shadow. Blushing as he felt so warm and fuzzy around him now, such new and raw emotions. When the teacher wasn't looking, Ladra teased the wolf by rubbing his abs and then poking a finger into his belly button through the shirt to tease.He jumped lightly at the teasing as it was unexpected and he had been reading about the Greek monsters. He giggled quietly as my tail came up to poke him repeatedly.He chuckles and stopped as he then went back to reading. Using a hand to stroke the soft tail.The bell rang and Ladra packed up to head off to his next class. After Geometry with Shadow, they headed off to lunch. Shadow wrapped an arm around Ladra as they sat next to each other and ate. Though alone because all the straights wanted nothing to do with us and the gays/bis/omniscient we're too scared to come over.Ladra was eating a pizza when he had the urge to go to the bathroom. "Be right back hun." Ladra gave him a kiss and went off to go use the restroom in the nearby hallway. After he was done relieving himself and washing himself, some of Shadow's teammates came in and shoved him to the floor. "Where do you get off turning our captain into a fag, dipshit!" The lion said as he picked him up and pushed him to the wall where he, a hyena, and a ram started to beatdown on him. Their fists making sickening blows to his skull, chest, and stomach. Crying, screaming, and begging them to stop. "Stop it! Please!" Now he grew angry, all his life being mistreated that led to this, being ridiculed for loving the one guy who cared about him all his life. He wasn't going to put up with this anymore. His chest glowing as his eyes opened and started getting sharper. "I...said...STOP!!!" His palms opened up with a blast of pure energy that sent the three flying out of the bathroom door. Breaking it and slamming harshly into the metal lockers where they dent them

pretty badly and broke a few bones.Shadow heard a ruckus coming from the bathroom and went to check on Ladra, then he heard his calls for help. "LADRA!!!" He ran to the bathroom only to spin to the side as his teammates came flying through the door. Not caring about them he ran in to see Ladra against the wall beaten. "Ladra, listen to me. Stay here, and cover your ears. No matter what you hear you will not come out until I come get you understand?" Before hearing his answer, Shadow got up and walked out the door to the group of three as they slowly got up and looked at him. His irises were pure blood red and his pupils slits. Not caring he let his large black demon wings sprout from his back and spread out to their full 8' span. "So which one of you fine people got the idea to beat on my boyfriend?" Shadow clenched both of his fists as they were engulfed in black flames. "First one to rat the other out will only have a few broken bones.They were yelling in terror at the sight of this demon. Before the three could speak, they were lifted from the air by the throat from an unseen force. "Shadow?" The wolf turned back to see Ladra hold up his right hand and with pure white glowing wings sprouting out of his back. The cuts and bruises healing up quickly as he came up and shook his head. "Please stop before you do something we'll all regret."Shadow growled with a smirk as he held out a hand and a black bladed katana formed from the flames. It had a red threaded hilt, a 2.5' black blade and a golden dragon etched into the steel on both sides. "Of course angel. I just gotta make sure of something first." Shadow grinned evilly with a wink as he turned to the three with a big evil grin, ideally twirling his sword before grabbing the lion. "Was it you kitty?" He looks at the hyena and got in close. "Or maybe you." He looked at the ram and scuffed. "Sure hell wasn't you, you follow orders, not make them. So you up an go, but if you speak one word of what we are, I will hunt you down. As for you two, who's idea was it?" 

Ladra couldn't take any of this anymore he grabbed Shadow's arm an ran with him. Leaving the others behind as he then realized what Shadow was and slowed down. Looking at how dangerous he was as he shook his head slowly with tears in his eyes. "Demon..." He backed away and ran for it outside.

Shadow saw this and went back to normal before running out a shadow behind Ladra and grabs his arm. "Ladra....please..." When he looked back he saw his eyes filled with sorrow and despair. "That is why I told you to stay, so you wouldn't find out what I was, so you wouldn't fear me and run. Please Ladra, I don't want to be alone again. I love you and I don't care if your an angel. I need you Ladra, I beg you, do not leave me alone again..." He let go of his arm and slumped to the ground.Ladra gulped as he remembered what Shadow was. Angel...the word ringing in his ears that was slowly registering in his mind as he looked at his wings. Closing his eyes to concentrate them into his back. He ran up to Shadow and got on his knees to hug him tightly and sniffle as he buried his face into his neck. "Take me home." Shadow reacted instantly and held Ladra tight with one arm and held out the other, their bags appearing in his hands. He stood up and picked him up, carrying him to me car which was unharmed and put him in the passenger, their bags in the back and drove off quickly.Ladra cried in the passenger seat as they drove off to his house. So worn out from today's misfortunes and just wanting to put it all behind him.Shadow saw this and reached over to grab his hand and give it a squeeze as they drove away.Ladra kept crying as they drove into the parking space in front of his house as he cried more and got of the car to go sit on the front steps and sob into his hands. Shadow got out of his car and walked over to sit next to Ladra and hold him tight. "Come on..." He led Ladra inside and into his, now their, room and sat him down on the bed. Shadow sat next to him on the bed and held him close with one arm. "Well now you know what I am, and why I live alone.Ladra held onto Shadow tightly as he nuzzled into his chest and cried on it. Wetting his shirt as they sat in his bed in the early afternoon. "I don't care what you are. It's what you did that scared me."Shadow sighed as he held the human close and pulled him into his lap to stroke his back. "That's why I told you to stay put. When I let my demon side show, even a bit like that, I tend to be one scary mother fucker. I was afraid that if you saw, you would leave me and I would be alone again..." Shadow let a small tear fall into his loves hair. "Do you remember that sword that I made appear?""Yes...what about it? You have a lot tell me. And...you called me an angel..." He licked away that tear as he had seen other anthros do before in close relationships when one partner is sad. He did his best to comfort him as he calmed down a little and wiped away the tears. Shadow smiled at the Human, now angel, and nuzzled him. "That's because you are one, at least half anyway. Did you not the see your wings? Your most likely a half breed like me, I'm half demon lord, thanks to my father. My mother was a wolfess, never knew her though...." He teared up more and held his love tightly. "Everyone that cared for me when I was a child was killed and I was cast out into the lowest pits of hell, where my own father kept me in for years."Ladra felt pang of guilt as he heard Shadow reveal his past. Whatever he went through must have been horrible, and he had to have fought to get to where he was now with Ladra. "But I've known you since we were children in grade school. How did you escape?"Shadow looked on with a blank expression as his eyes slit lightly. "I killed my father, with his own sword and by doing so, I took his place as demon lord. With that power I escaped easily..." He held out his hand and the same katana appeared in his hand. "This sword was his, and I used it to end his life....." Shadow dropped the blade and covered his face in his paws and sobbed heavily.Ladra held Shadow close and nuzzled his face past those paws to kiss every part of his face as he cried, saving the lips for last as he wiped the tears away and made him look into his steel-blue eyes. "I thank you for trying to save me. I thank you for everything you have ever done for me, I'm lucky to have you to love me and love in return. Not many can say they have that special someone in their lives. I know you went through literal hell but you're here now...with me. I promise to protect you with my life. I am your guardian angel now, just as you are my little devilish troublemaker." He said with a smile and loving warmth in his voice as he kissed his forehead and brought him into another big hug. Shadow held the human light and licked the nap of his neck. "Thank you Ladra, Thank you... I promise that I will do the same for you, my adorable, sweet angel." He held him close and nuzzled him heavily before using my tail to pick up the sword again. "To think of how much blood, whether human, demon, angel or any other that this blade has spilt over the eternity it has existed, it makes my stomach churn but I keep it anyway, cause it's only thing that is truly mine, just like you. You have been through thick and thin with me and never backed down, no matter what happened."Well that's just friends do, it's what I do with the ones I love, we look out for each other. But how to explain all of this to my father...you know we can't ever go back to that school again. Not after all that has happened, I refuse to up with their abuse any longer..." He said with a breaking voice as he tried to stay strong for Shadow as he rubbed the small of his back. Shadow pulled him close and held him tight. "It's alright, if you didn't stop me when you did, I would have killed them in the most gruesome ways possible in my rage. As for the doctor..." He looked up to see said doctor standing in the door. "I have a feeling that he has known for a while now."Ladra gasped softly as he turned his head quickly to see his father Dr. Grey standing there in the doorway. He let go of Shadow as he walked in and got on his knees in front of his son and put a hand on his left knee. "I heard everything that happened. And believe me I will make sure they know who is to be punished severely for their misdoings. But I won't force you...either of you to go back there." Ladra nodded sadly with his head held low as he sat up straight and looked him in the eye. "Did you know I was a monster?" Dr. Grey frowned at that word and shook his head. "Not a monster, a Nephilim. You were born of a grand archangel father and a human mother. Come...there is much you have yet to learn and I must show you." He stood up and took his son's hand in his to lead him downstairs. Shadow got up and picked up his blade and attached it to his belt and followed the pair out of the room with his hands in his pockets. "I'm the only monster here Hun...""Demon or Angel...we're nothing but creatures humans have come to fear." Ladra followed with Shadow in tow down to his father's office, a mini-library with an extravagant desk. Going to a candleholder and pulling it to reveal a hidden staircase going down. Shadow cocked a brow at the secret passage. "How cheesy, no offense, but still."Ladra glared at Shadow and slapped the back of his head as he dragged him down the staircase with his father walking in front. Going all the way down the bricked passageway until they reached an impressive lab filled with screens, high tech gizmos, and more books and texts. A large map on the wall covered in red pins pointing to specific locations. "What is all this?" Dr. Grey turned to his son with a serious face. "My research into the unknown, my lab and personal sanctuary.""Impressive doc." Shadow looked over at the maps and charts and honed in on one map that was of out town. He went over to the map and looked at the pins put down but found one in-particular. "Why is my house marked on this map? And what of all the others marked in town?""They are locations of known or suspected Paranormals. Monsters, cryptids, spirits, demons, and even a few gifted humans and furs. You see, every monster you hear in a tale at night, all the stories you were told of ancient gods and mythological creatures are all true. The two of you are living examples of this truth. My work has involved trying to keep this

world safe by keeping those such as you a secret so we can avoid unnecessary bloodshed." He said grimly as he walked over pulled down the maps. "Ladra is a Nephilim, I was aware of his divine bloodline when his mother Araya gave him to me to take care of when he was but an infant. He was marked with an angelic symbol that was sealed away under his skin to hide his abilities and keep him hidden. But then a Demon Lord spawn came along and began resurfacing his powers with his presence. So I worked harder to have his abilities suppressed which is no easy task even if he is half angel. He is a gift...no angels have been seen or heard of in real life for centuries." Ladra was open mouthed at what he was hearing. "So am I nothing but a specimen for you?!"Shadow grabbed his shoulders. "Think Ladra, he has raised you as his own for years, he is as much as your father as or actual one is, whether he is alive or not." He then turned to glare at the doc himself. "And I rather you not call me a spawn of a demon. I hate it enough that I'm cursed so, and being called a spawn doesn't help.""I meant no disrespect. But you are the son of one and it was your demon blood that awakened his angel blood. But quite the impossible happened, instead of loathing you he has come to love you. You and he are more than just your bloodlines, you are a hope for a better life for your kind. I fear things are brewing in the Under Realms." He looked away as he started packing things away. Ladra looked up at Shadow then at his father. "What do you mean?" He sighed and looked at his son. "I care for BOTH of you dearly. I must keep you safe by taking you someplace away from here now that rumors are spreading of your existence. Pack up everything necessary for we leave tonight.""You really don't give time do you?" Shadow chuckled lightly before kissing Ladra on the head. "I'll be back in a bit, got to go pack and grab a few....things from my house." Shadow bounded up the steps and disappeared, the roar of his cars engine could be heard as he drove off. About 3 hours later Shadow returned with a large suit case, a long silver brief case and wearing a long white trench coat with black trim that neither the doctor nor Ladra had ever seen, there was a shoulder guard on the left shoulder in the form of a slumbering silver dragon, wings spayed out down his chest and back, tail wrapped around his Armand it's head resting on his collar bone. "I'm ready, are you guys good to go? We can put everything in my car."They carried out the last of the luggage as most was packed away in the moving truck. Ladra's personal belongings were the last things in the bags as he loaded them into Shadow's camaro and got into the passanger seat. "Where are we going Father?" Dr. Grey looked at his son after getting into his truck and looking out the window. "Shadow is to

follow me to the airport. We're leaving for my mansion in Virginia."
