[ALPHA]
Initial testing of the Kraskit genetic code. Only 1 was produced and destroyed during testing.

[GENERATION ZERO]
The first series of Kraskits used as genetic testbeds. Only 10 were produced.

The mass produced soldiers created from the perfected Generation Zero template. 100000 were produced.

The result of natural mating and breeding between Kraskits. Approximately 50000 were created.
[NAMING]
All Kraskits were named after their production number (eg: Tabitha was named "Zero Five") save for the Generation Zeros who were given the right to choose their own names. Later, post-planetfall, all Kraskits chose their own names.

Kraskit genetics is incompatible with any other species' meaning cross/inter breeding is impossible.

[DIET]
Omnivorous. Their primary foodstuff on Talin was a nutrient and mineral rich paste made from processed subterranean mosses and roots that were abundant underground.
[DNA]
Kraskit DNA is "locked" and not able to be modified, corrupted or mutated. This makes them immune to many forms of radiation damage and mutagenics. This also means that without the unlock sequence, further cloning and growth of the species via artificial means is impossible.
[REGENERATION]
Kraskits have increased cellular regeneration which aids to faster healing of internal and external damage. This affect is not instantaneous but is usually about 45-60% faster than those of a normal human. This however means that wounds that have contaminants or foreign objects must be cleaned quickly or the wound will seal around the contents. This also however means that the Kraskits body is capable of returning to its "default" configuration from only a small percentage of organ material (IE: A liver can be "regrown" with only approximately 5-10% of the original left intact).
[AGING]
Kraskits do not experience cellular degradation or time-based decline of faculties meaning they do not "age" or change in appearance (save for early in their lifespan when they are forming). However, when a Kraskit reaches the end of their lifespan, their body simply shuts down in a matter of minutes and renders them almost immediately deceased and unable to be revived.
[IMMUNE SYSTEM]
Kraskits have a extremely strong immune system and are resistant to many types of illness and sicknesses. However, due to their physiology (and the now lost expanded data pertaining to it) extreme care must be taken when administering medicines as certain medicines could interfere with their natural faculties as well as their "Blocker".
[BLOOD]
Kraskit blood is a unique type and incompatible with the most common blood types (including the "universal" O type). This makes transfusions impossible.
[HEAD]
[HAIR]
Kraskit hair grows a lot slower then the average humans and is often left to grow long and unkempt. Kraskits don't put much stock into styling or haircare.
[EYES]
Kraskit eyes have better than average human vision and full night vision. The most interesting feature of the Kraskit eyes is the effect of age on the eye colour. As the Kraskits age their eye colour darkens in shade and changes. This is the only indication of a Kraskits age as they do not suffer cellular degradation over time. At the end of a Kraskits lifespan their eyes are black. Their vision can be augmented via their head tails.

[NOSE]
The Kraskit nose has the same level of smell as the average human but it can be augmented via their head tails.
[MOUTH]
The Kraskit has the same amount of teeth as the average human with elongated canines. They also have the same tastebud layout as an average human which can be augmented by their head tails.
[EARS]
The Kraskit ears have slightly better than average hearing compared to that of an average human. It can be further augmented via their head tails.
[HEAD TAILS]
The head tails are the Kraskits most unique feature. They are composed of hollow tubes of inert muscle protecting twin pylons of neural tissue and nerves that interface directly with the brain and spinal column. These pylons allow the brain to process an exponentially higher amount of sensory data then a standard brain, increasing a Kraskit's senses beyond super human levels. However, the amount of data provided by the head tails can easily overwhelm the brain causing agonising pain and discomfort and must be carefully controlled with neural-conductive suppression medication called "Blocker". By adjusting the dose of "Blocker" (or negating it's effect completely for a short time with the aptly named "Unblocker") the Kraskit can increase their sense of hearing, sight, smell, taste and touch to allow them the advantage in combat situations (For example, A Kraskit could adjust their dose to augment their hearing to listen for distant threats or even use "Unblocker" and pick up the vibrations and movement of foes, assuming the Kraskit had trained their concentration enough to filter out the flood of unrequired information). The other disadvantage of the head tails is the exposure of the brain matter outside of the protection of a skull leaving the Kraskit open to severe brain damage or death from even the most basic of trauma to the head tails themselves. The "Blocker" drug is engineered to only target the unique cellular signature of the brain tail pylons, leaving normal brain function uninhibited (although an overdose can permanently damage the tissue of the pylons). The Blocker must be taken in carefully measured doses at regular intervals for the correct affect. Blocker was originally a potent neurotoxin drawn from local Talin flora and administered in carefully controlled doses. Post-Siege Blocker was manufactured synthetically.
[BODY]
[SKIN]
The Kraskit skin is smooth and almost glossy in texture. It has excellent heat and energy dispersion properties.
[BONES]
Kraskit bones are much thicker than an average humans and have an internal honeycomb structure making them incredibly strong and resistant to breakage. This however removes the Kraskit's natural buoyancy meaning they sink in water.
[IMPACT FLUID]
Flowing in between the outer and inner layers of skin is a layer of viscous fluid known as Impact Fluid. It is a non-Newtonian fluid that disperses impacts and kinetics allowing the Kraskit to be resistant to physical blows.
[ORGANS]
Kraskit organs are organised in a similar layout to the average humans with the addition of the Darask Node.
[DARASK NODE]
The Darask Node is a unique gland that is activated when the brain detects high levels of injury or pain. On receiving the correct neural signal the Darask Node floods the Kraskits body with a mixture of analgesics, stimulants and potent natural steroids giving the Kraskit a "Second Wind" in times of need. The mixture of compounds is a lethal dose and sends the Kraskit into pulmonary failure soon afterwards.
[GENITALIA]
The male Kraskit genitalia is hidden in a slit similar to the labia on the females. The males also lack testicles and instead have a gonadal sack that runs along the pelvic floor. Semen generation takes years meaning mating occurs sporadically in their culture. The female genitalia is almost identical to a human female in terms of structure and layout.

The Kraskit hands feature 4 fingers and one thumb each ending in sharp claws.

The Kraskit legs are similar to the average humans with a plantigrade layout.
