Agony. 3
Ci'e, the Creator; The Crimson Maiden she became known as
such during the years of the War of Lamentation, she was in grieving. Ki'e the
Trickster Lord, her brother- and lover, he had been felled, not by the hand of
Lamenter alone, but by the hand of one of their own. The Murder King, the Lord
of Anger had challenged Ki'e, disputing his loyalty as he dwelled in the lands
of the Lament, spreading subterfuge among their ranks. The Lord of Anger struck at Ki'e in open battle, gauntlet of
fury against the tempest prince Ki'e, but the Murder King was the better, he
flayed the flesh from him, and cast his dead body into the void, leaving it to
be set upon by the soul-creatures of that empty realm. When Ci'e learned of this treachery, her wailing ripped open
the boundaries between the realms of divine and mortal, lightless fire rained
from the skies for three days when she discovered his demise. She had been lied to, coerced into thinking that it was the
Mad God Of Order of the Fallen Pantheon who struck Ki'e low. Fueled by this
deceit, she sought out the Mad God, and brought ruin upon him and his domain,
striking the killing blow through his third eye, his essence destroyed utterly,
her anger sated, but not her grief. It was only at the time of the most inopportune when she
learned of the betrayal. Her anger was great enough to match the King of
Murder's own, and she sought a bloody vengeance upon him, and all those who
made out to lie to her, hiding the true fate of her brother from her. Mi'e herself was the one who gave voice to the motion to
silence the truth of Ki'es' death from Ci'e, for she knew what foul wrath would
befall their fragile Pantheon if Ci'e were to learn of The Murder Lord's crime. Wrath befell them it did! Ci'e, a vengeful avatar contained,
withheld her fury and spite, she focused herself, she became calm, remorseful.
She dawned her plaudminim robes and scarlet veil and she attended the Council
of the Wall. She seethed silently as the deities amassed themselves; one
side sat the loyal few while the other had amassed the anointed many of the
lamentation, their gazes met and lightning seemed to strike the very air
itself. Tempers flared but a calm demeanor was kept about them. And the Mortals
among Gods began to speak. Each name of those who held power was called forth
and asked to reveal their cause and reason, each one came forward to sign the
simple parchment that would signal the end to aggressions. When at last it came to the Murder King and his bloody handed
followers to move forward and sign the parchment in their own twisted way,
through the writ of blood and bone quill, Ci'e was their to halt him. She
decried his claim of fugitive peace; she called him names most foul and titles
unheard of since the beginning times. She told him his crime and the deception
that veiled it, and she saw him as no more, nor did she see any of whom she had
once thought of as her kindred. She let fly the wrath of her power. In the depths of her
rage, and despair, she committed acts only whispered in the shadows amongst the
gods. She had committed the greatest sin, and tapped into the primordial power,
she called upon her followers, her worshippers, her children, and she slew them
to the last, and drank of their soul essence, leaving only nameless, mindless
husks, former fragments of themselves. Gorged on the power of their souls she held power to rival
that of the Soul Carrier. What power she unleashed! The very skies themselves
shook in terror; thunder rolled like great war machines, clouds rippled in from
endless oceans, blotting out the sun's as mountains themselves trembled at the
sight of her. But the Murder King was not impressed; he rivaled her in
strength and stature. The Lord of Anger and hatred had grown strong over the
course of the War of Lamentation, the fury and despair of mortals granted him
power, power he used to strike down Ki'e with, and many other traitorous Lords.
He was truly unmatched by any lesser God, he was the strongest, and he was
King. Ci'e cared little about such facts as she threw herself at
him, howling madly with the breath of a banshee. Little could be recalled of
the following clash of bitter Gods, light, flame and wind tore at the great
tower of the Wall, Divine steel was rent asunder and kingdoms were uprooted,
the derbies of castles flew through a hell of razor tipped wind. For seven weeks the battle lasted, the fighting spanned
several planes of existence from the realm of mortals to the realm of Gods and
the realm of the dead. Wherever the titans clashed, the Soul Carrier followed
close behind, sweeping millions upon millions of souls to his basket. Untold
numbers died during that time, and countless more lay broken in body and mind
as the two howling beings tore souls from mortals to fuel their wrath. At long last, it ended where it began, the Lord of Anger lay
broken, his blade dull and dented, his armor rent and horns shattered his
immortal life essence incinerated the steel floors. Ci'e stood over him, her
body ravaged and scarred by what to them could have been an eternity of single
combat as time meant little to ones such as them. She held a bloodied spear aloft for all to bear witness to,
it shown callously in the dim clouded light as rain hissed and evaporated on
it's wicked bladed tip, she let loose a cry of victory that could be heard
throughout the seventeen domains; it was a cry of satisfaction and wicked
pleasure from the torment of another being. She thrust her spear through the Dead gods heart, and
twisted, the cruel device she had branded as her harbinger, the weapon she
brought into the world with the forbidden knowledge gleaned from the Goddess of
Chaos dying mind, the weapon tore out the Murder Kings' heart and she devoured
it. With the Blood Lord's soul consumed, she saw to it to smite every last
follower of him, she erased his existence and with it, killed him utterly. No songs would be sung of him again, of his glories in
battle, of his preaching's or triumph. He was dead to time, dead to existence. They watched as she reveled in her victory, all of them, the
Lamented and the Pantheon. They watched, and Mi'e wept, her tears healing the
broken earth below, but they would never heal the broken heart that Mi'e now
bore. But they could do nothing. For she possessed the God-Killer Spear, while
they could challenged her, and slay her as the Murder King slew Ki'e, she could
slay them all before they could lay hands on her. For the dread-spear was evil, a deeper evil far more
malevolent than any could imagine, deep from the void did it's power come, and
that power was now infused within Ci'e, it became a living part of her, their
powers could do naught to her. They watched as Ci'e fell deeper into depravity, they watched
as she challenged them to face her, forced scions of the Red Priest to worship
her as their lord, they watched as she raped men so she might birth champions
and mad angles to give rise to her empire, as she had slaughtered her last one.
She forced cities to build monuments three miles high in her honor, enslaving
the entire populace with the proxy rule of her champion spawn. Each champion
more depraved then the last. All except one.
