Stretching out and muttering a curse about how the sun gets up too early, William wrapped his blanket tighter around himself and tried to once more enter the gates of Dreamland. Sadly that lasted a whole 2 minutes before a loud pounding sounded on his bedroom door. "Will, get up. You know coach will kill you if you are late for practice again, especially before a big game." said the voice on the other side of the door. "Maybe he should get a real life then," shouted William upset that he now had to get up. "Don't let him hear you say that," the voice warned and footsteps could be heard walking away from William's door. William now fully awake swung his legs out over his bed throwing his blanket off him in the process. Stretching once more he launched himself off the bed and out his door down the hallway to his bathroom. After relieving himself, William looked into the bathroom mirror to fix his silver colored hair, straightening his hair into to bangs that fell just over his eyebrows, and pulling the shoulder length hair on the back of his head into a ponytail. After getting it the way he liked he walked out of the bathroom back to his bedroom and discarding his pajamas he dug through his dresser and picked out his outfit for the day. A pair of knee length shorts, with a ocean blue t-shirt and a light tan vest. To finish off he threw on a pair of white with green stripe sneakers. Satisfied that he was decent looking he left his room and went down the hallway to the kitchen where nice smells we're coming from. As he walked into the brightly lit room he turned his attention to the figure standing by the oven. "Morning Benji," said William as he walked over to the fridge."Morning sleepyhead," teased Benji. William smirked and opened the fridge door to poke around for something to eat. Benji Rioza, roommate, best friend, soccer player extraordinaire, and world class ladies man. Only 19 years old and he stood at about 6' 3" and had a thin wiry build but was strong as an ox and has short black hair with ice blue eyes and a smile that could lighten the most serious situation. Originally from Brazil, Benji's family moved to America a few years back, and after winning a soccer scholarship Benji moved to Seattle to attend college where he had met William. They had known each other for a year now and in the beginning they seamed to want nothing to do with one another. Finally though, after many fights and arguments they
finally managed to form a strong bond of friendship and they were now an inseparable team. William chuckled to himself as he thought back to the first time they had met. Benji heard the laugh and gave William a curious look. "Just thinking of the day we met." Benji Simply nodded and went back to whatever he was cooking on the oven. "You came back from the library late last night," Benji said suddenly, "Don't tell me you fell asleep in your books again." Seeing his friend's face turn slightly red Benji grinned and took a nearby plate and flipped the object in the pan onto the plate. William noticed that it was a omelet of some sort. "Didn't coach tell you not to eat so much eggs?" He asked."Yeah, but what he doesn't know won't kill him" "Yes, but if he does find out you will be in a world of hurt." "That is why I don't say anything." He grinned as he sat on a counter stool and began to eat."True" laughed William as he grabbed a apple and walking over to the kitchen window began to eat it. Benji looked at his friend standing in the sun coming in through the open window and grimaced as the light from the sun shined on his silver hair giving off a really bright glare. Grunting in pain as he covered his eyes he said, "Why does you hair have that shine. I'm going blind here." William glanced over at Benji and stepped away from the window. "Thank you for moving. I felt like I was going to have to where sunglasses ins..." Benji stopped talking as he silently cursed himself for being so stupid. William said, "It's ok Benji, don't worry about it." Benji could only mentally slap himself. 'Damn it,' he thought. He knew William was sensitive about sunglasses and stuff similar to that, considering he always had to wear them outdoors and in public, even at night. It wasn't because he was trying to make a fashion statement, but on the account of his eye color. The iris of William's eyes were the color of fiery gold and that color was continuously moving in his eyes. In order not to weird people out William wore sunglasses which he found extremely annoying. 'Just because my eyes are different' was a often thought in William's head.Minutes of awkward silence passed and both of them finished their breakfast. William looked at the clock and seeing the time began to head for the door. Benji got up to follow but William stopped him. Wondering what was going on Ben looked up into the grinning face of his roommate. "Best friend or not Benji, I'm sorry but I'm not going out with you dressed like that," William said while stifling a laugh. "What wrong with the way I'm dressed," asked Ben slightly annoyed. William looked him up and down and shook his head. Benji looked down and that's when he saw he was still in his pjs. "Shit!" He said aloud and ran to his room to change as William could hold his laughter no longer. ________Two and a half hours of grueling
practice and threats from their coach, William and Benji collapsed into the chairs of a nearby diner utterly exhausted. "You'd think that he could take it a little easier on us,"said William through his hands. Benji could only nod tired as he was. Soon a young waitress walked up and gave them some menus. "Afternoon fellas," she said, "My name is Sara and I'll be your waitress for today. What can I interest you two for drinks.""Coffee" both of them said. Sara wrote it down and walked off to get their coffee. When she was out of earshot, Benji said, "She's cute. Think she'll go out with me?" William could only roll his eyes at his friend, "Not if she any self respect she won't""Dude that is cruel, so cruel." Benji saidThe waitress, Sara, came back with two cups full of hot coffee. After she took their food orders and walked off again. Grinning as he watched his friend's eyes follow her, William suddenly felt slightly uncomfortable. Ever since he had come into this place he has felt that he was being watched. He glanced around to the other patrons. A family in a booth, a woman texting madly at a table, and a red haired young man appearing to be around William's age drinking something. None were looking at him. He relaxed slightly and turned his attention back to his friend who seemed to be staring at the kitchen door waiting for Sara. Shaking his head he turned his efforts to the cup of coffee before him. _______As he watched the silver haired boy look around the diner, Aragon shifted uncomfortably in his seat. He cursed himself over his stupidity of staring at the boy but he couldn't help himself. Here he was trying to figure out a way to meet this kid and bam! he walks into the very diner he was sitting in. Aragon relaxed after seeing the silver haired boy turn back to his drink, and turned his attention to the sports magazine laying on his table. On it's cover was the same silver haired boy in a soccer uniform kicking a soccer ball and the title was, College Soccer Newest Star. Aragon had picked up the magazine from a newsstand earlier that day. as it had caught his eye. Looking at it for minutes staring at those Golden eyes the boy had, He had suddenly felt something... familiar about him. He had only seem those eyes once before 6 years ago. "Before the accident" he thought. He shook slightly remembering that horrible night. Since then Aragon had been trying to figure out a way to track this boy, William Kresali. Snapping back to the present as his waitress gave him his bill, he looked at the young boy talking with his friend he couldn't help but wonder, "Could it really be him. After all these years could I have really found him?" For the first time in a while Aragon felt something rise in his chest... hope. He would have to report back to the Captain about this new development. As he rose to go and pay for his bill, he passed the table where the boy and his
friend we sitting. He saw the silver haired one glance up at him golden eyes blazing. His heart leapt in his chest. It had to be him! No one else could have those eyes. As he left the diner and walked down the street, Aragon couldn't help but feel almost giddy at what he believed to have discovered. So wrapped up in his thoughts he was that he failed to noticed a certain individual following him down the sidewalk.
