Chapter 22

Theo kept asking himself why he let slip about Enya. After they were reunited with their respective lovers, Theo and Enya had decided to keep their one-time experiment a strict secret. Now Theo had blabbed. And Roan was sure to blab. Then Yuri would find out. And Theo would be in deep shit.

Thinking of Yuri's fury later, Theo sighed heavily as he entered Zaldon's home. It was still fairly early in the morning, but already, everyone was scrambling to and fro to get ready for the wedding.

Many buff males Theo didn't recognize were tramping back and forth, carrying covered platters of food in and out the front door. Theo had barely been able to squeeze inside, but once he did, it was to find Lynny lecturing a humble Wynn and Inden - who, apparently, had been caught fondling each other in a closet.

Kilyan and Keeno, meanwhile, had been put on pup detail once again: they sat on one of the couches with LiAnh, Mio, and Zee on their knees. Mio and Zee were screaming for the hell of it, and Kilyan rocked them in his arms, singing to them in-between joining Lynny's lecture. Keeno sat beside Kilyan with his ears flat, looking disgruntled as he rocked LiAnh - who was (amazingly enough) sleeping soundly through the screaming.

Idella flew out of the kitchen, shouting for one of the platter-bearing males to come back: his platter was empty! With her long gray mane piled up in a pretty bun, stray tendrils fell in her frantic eyes as she traded a heavy platter with the startled male. Her ears and nipples were winking with gold rings as she followed the male out the door, smiling at Theo as she went.

Julyan was no where to be seen, and Theo knew he was probably already at the great balcony, overseeing the final decorations and the placement of the tables. The family had begun decorating days before, insisting that Roan, Theo, Enya, and Yuri were not to help as it was to be a surprise. Yzlo and Hye had been most eager to help with the decorations: Yzlo because he knew it was the perfect excuse to lounge around pretending to help while stealing sips from his flask, and Hye because she loved any excuse to unleash her creativity. They would be with Julyan now and would more than likely have dragged along Hris, Yaholo, and Kuza.

Zaldon and Kel were also absent: they would already be at Ceara's house with Ohana, helping Yuri to get ready and waiting for Roan so they could help him as well. But Lea, Zalia, and Aliona would be here at Zaldon's home and were more than likely upstairs with Enya, getting her ready for the ceremony.

Theo looked around. Now where was Loryn? He hoped that wherever Loryn was, he was alone. The last thing he needed was for his father to be there while he was asking Loryn for sex advice!

Loryn and Sade were supposed to help Theo get dressed for the ceremony - a tradition in the sun village that was more about last-minute bonding than anything else. Theo's father was fond of the garden, but he looked at the big males passing in and out the kitchen door and wasn't eager to fight his way through them to reach it.

"Out in the garden," Keeno confirmed, catching Theo's eye.

Theo moaned inside: dammit."Thanks." He braced himself and fought his way through the crowd, wondering where Zane's wives were and if the three of them had remembered to get the rings. Zane and his wives were so busy arguing after the bachelor party, Theo was worried they had completely forgotten. He and Roan had spent a week trying to get the damn things! Each time one of them managed to get to the jeweler's house, something went wrong, and they always managed to come away without them! Zane had better not let them down. Theo had paid too much for Roan's ring. Too much.

Theo wiggled his way between two huge males and ducked around yet another one who lifted a large cake above his head to avoid colliding with him. Theo grinned: his wedding cake! He staggered into the kitchen and brushed himself off. He was surprised to see Roan's grandmother standing in the midst of the chaos, discreetly picking bits from various platters and nibbling. She halted guiltily when she saw Theo and gave him a wince of a smile.

Kira was a beautiful white wolf, and her lush, spotless fur drew stares everywhere she went. White wolves were as rare as black ones - though black ones were the rarest of all. Kira was already dressed for the wedding. She stood wrapped in a sky blue shawl of an expensive silk material that Theo knew Loryn had bought her just for the wedding. Her long white mane was half-piled in an elegant bun, while the rest spilled down her narrow back to her tail. She was winking with jewelry: studs in her ears and a pretty gold necklace lying against her cleavage. Her bright girlish eyes looked at Theo mischievously as she sucked a bit of cream from her finger: she had stuck it in a pie.

Theo's nostrils flared to take in Kira's sweet scent, and he realized for the first time that Roan had inherited her fluffy smell.

"Looking for Loryn and Sade?" Kira said, eying a platter laden with a glossy, roasted bird. She hesitated, looking at Theo apprehensively.

Theo grinned: "Don't worry. I won't tell."

Kira smiled and pinched a bit of meat from the bird. She chewed eagerly and moaned. "Good gravy, Julyan can cook!"

"Try the crab legs," Theo said, amused.

Kira's eyes widened and she pinched a crab leg from yet another platter and dipped it in a little cup of butter waiting beside it. "Oh god," she moaned. "Perfect!" She jerked her head at the doors on the opposite end of the kitchen. "Loryn's out in the garden. Amrosa left earlier looking for Sade. I think she was trying to get a quick one in before --"

"Allllright. That's all the info I need," Theo said over her.

Kira laughed. A male passed by carrying a platter of plump little meats on toothpicks. "Ooo!" she squealed and followed him out.

Theo watched her go, marveling that Kira had an incredible figure for a female who seemed to love food so ravenously. She and Loryn were fifty summers old and still in the prime of their lives. Kira had gotten a little heavier, but it only served to make her more desirable: her wide hips and big breasts drew stares as much as her white fur.

Theo went out the door and into the garden, and sure enough, Loryn was there. Roan's grandfather was sitting on a stone bench beside a few orange trees. Much like Kira, he was already dressed for the ceremony. There were sky blue feathers in his mane to match Kira's shawl, as well as a talisman on his upper arm with the same blue feathers. Around his throat hung a beaded necklace with little shells, and Theo could smell from where he stood the scented soap Loryn had used on his fur. Theo thought he looked quite handsome.

But the glassy look in Loryn's eye said he was mildly high. Indeed, he appeared to be chewing some herbs and a small pouch was in his paw. Theo knew Loryn had probably come out to the garden with the explicit purpose of getting high in secret: the rest of the family was sure to scalp him for it. Kel especially.

"Hey, kid," Loryn said happily as Theo made his way to him. He patted the bench beside him. "Siddown!"

Theo sat, watching Loryn with a disapproving frown. "You and Dad are supposed to be helping me get ready for the ceremony this evening. You're supposed to be talking with me, giving me advice about married life! But you're getting high, and my dad . . . is off getting laid." Theo glowered. He knew why Sade wasn't there: he didn't want to see Roan marry Theo. All that crap about accepting his son's sexuality - then he bails on the wedding! Theo didn't know why he was even angry: he had seen it coming a mile away.

Loryn laughed. "Now, now," he said, shamefully tucking the pouch out of sight, "I'm still grounded enough to talk with you, kid. Hell, we've got the whole damn day to talk! And Sade won't be with your mother long. He'll be here soon."

"Actually, I'm hoping he takes his time," Theo said. Hell, let him never come! he thought angrily. He glanced at Loryn, who was watching him curiously. "I wanted to talk to you alone. My dad would hate it if he knew I felt this way . . . but, Loryn . . . you are like a father to me. All the years Dad and I were arguing, I could always come to you. I wanted to thank you for that --"

"Awww, don't get mushy on me, boy," Loryn said, flattening his ears. He looked at Theo fondly, swaying a little where he sat. No doubt he was in a state very akin to being drunk. If Roan found out, he'd be mortified. Theo eyed the little pouch, which was half-hidden behind Loryn on the bench. He would need to take it from Loryn when he wasn't looking.

"I need your help now," Theo went on. "It's not something my dad can really help with . . ."

Loryn slowly grinned as it dawned on him. He sniffed and Theo noticed his eyes were a little bloodshot. "You want help with ssssex. Hah ha. . ."

Theo squeezed his eyes shut. "You are so high. Maybe this was a bad idea --"

"No, no," Loryn said soothingly. "I will teach you how to eat a guy's ass like puppy chow."

Theo's cheeks went a little red as he thought of LiAnh the night before, who had buried his face in his mushy bowl of food and eaten ravenously with his mouth alone.

"You will tear into Roan's ass," Loryn went on, "and the wallssss will be covered in cum. Go over there and get me an orange."

Theo stared at Loryn, wondering just how high he was.

"Do it," Loryn insisted, jerking his head.

Theo obeyed. He returned with the orange and sat down, passing it to Loryn. He watched, perplexed, as Loryn peeled the orange in halves. He gave one circular half to Theo, who blinked at the fruit, still perplexed.

"First," Loryn said, sniffing, "we stretch the tongue. Loosen it up." He rolled his tongue around. "Go ahead."

Feeling foolish, Theo obeyed.

"Then . . ." Loryn looked at the orange-half in his paw. "See thisss little hole in the center of the orange?"

"Yeah . . ."

"Pretend it's Roan's tight little ass. It's good to start off dragging your tongue along the rim . . . see?"

Theo watched and silently struggled not to get hard as Loryn's flexible tongue worked the hole in the center of the orange until it squirted and dribbled juice.

"You follow my lead," Loryn said, winking, "and you'll make Roan squirt like that."

The lesson continued. Loryn demonstrated the proper use of a tongue and Theo repeated his example. Loryn corrected him where he was wrong, also reminding him that it was good to touch the balls and cock while pleasuring the anus. By the time they were almost finished, Theo was straining painfully to stay soft.

"That's it," Loryn said, nodding as Theo wiggled his tongue in the orange hole. "But give your tongue a little more finesse. Like so . . ." He demonstrated.

Theo was imitating the demonstration when Lea appeared. They both halted, their tongues still in the orange-holes. She blinked at them. They blinked at her.

"Why in the world," Lea finally cried, "are you molesting the fruit!"

Enya smiled at herself in the mirror. She was sitting at the vanity in Zaldon and Julyan's bedroom - in fact, it was Julyan's vanity. On the vanity stood little bottles of various mane oils, as well as Julyan's brushes, nail files, and clippers. Small ornamental jars of Julyan's jewelry also stood on the vanity and it was very telling: jars containing the many rings Zaldon had gifted Julyan, the gold necklaces, feathered bracelets, small statues and even a music box. . . . and jars of half-empty lube.

"Julyan is so spoiled," Aliona observed, amused.

Zalia shrugged. "Well, Zaldon is rich." She glanced around the lavish bedroom, and Enya knew her mother was thinking of the modest bedroom she shared with Keeno back in the summer village. Zalia liked fine things, and every time she and Keeno visited in the sun village, she insisted on shopping - much to Keeno's displeasure and dismay.

Aliona and Zalia stood behind Enya, beaming as they styled her mane and glossed the tan curls with sweet-smelling oils. Aliona carefully applied a black balm from a tiny jar to Enya's eyelashes, making them longer and thicker. Zalia carefully clipped a shell comb in Enya's mane, forcing her magnificent curls to spill to one side.

Enya was also wearing a long flowing white skirt and a sleeveless top that cloaked her breasts. Her slender midriff was bare. A pearl necklace hung around her throat and small pearl studs were in her ears. She tilted her head, smiled at herself, and thought she looked breathtaking.

Enya thought Aliona and Zalia looked breathtaking as well. Aliona was clad in a dark blue shawl with gold trim that Zaldon had bought for her. Gold earrings were in her ears, and her long gray mane flowed thick around her shoulders. Lovely black Zalia was clad in a shawl identical to her mother's - another gift from Zaldon - and also identical gold earrings. Zalia's long mane had been pulled up high in a bun, and Enya thought her mother looked stunning. Aliona too.

"So . . ." Enya cleared her throat awkwardly. "You're supposed to give me advice about married life . . . but neither of you are married to girls."

Enya frowned, nonplussed when her mother and grandmother exchanged smiles. She could see their smirking reflections in the mirror, and her eyes widened as it dawned on her.

"No way!" Enya said, spinning around on the stool.

Aliona and Zalia exchanged another smile.

"Yes way," laughed Zalia, long lashes fluttering. She pulled up a chair from a corner table, and Aliona did likewise. The three generations sat smiling at each other, three identical pairs of sapphire blues warm with the intimacy of the conversation.

Enya braced her paws on her knees, looking at her mother and grandmother in disbelief. "No, I don't believe you," she said, shaking her head. "If the two of you liked females, you wouldn't have given me such a hard time about Yuri!" She folded her arms and looked away.

"Oh, Enya," Zalia said, shaking her head. She touched Enya's cheek, forcing her pretty daughter to look at her. Enya relented, unfolding her arms to see the warmth in Zalia's eyes.

"We weren't hard on you for liking females," Zalia explained soothingly.

"We were hard on you for getting caught," Aliona added, laughing.

Enya laughed too. "So . . ." She fiddled with her fingers and looked at them sheepishly. They were smiling and patient, waiting for her questions. "The two of you experimented. But you never fell in love a female. Why?"

"We never met females we wanted to marry," Zalia said, smiling at her daughter. "The only difference between you and us is that . . . you did."

"So if you had fallen in love with a female . . ."

"We might have gone through what you went through, Enya," Aliona finished for her. She shrugged. "But probably not," she said, shaking her head. Her long gray mane shifted around her shoulders. She was perched on her chair, sitting up straight with her paws on her knees. Zalia was sitting likewise.

"After all," Aliona went on, touching a loving paw to Enya's curls, "we didn't get caught. I never would have let my mother walk in on me with a female!"

Zalia glanced at her mother and nodded.

Enya bit her lip, thinking of that day only a year ago when Zalia had walked in on her and Yuri. "But I couldn't keep my feelings a secret forever," Enya said. "I love Yuri. I'm not like you two. I never . . . found a male. Or even wanted one." She blushed a little, thinking of Theo. That was half a lie. The truth was, she had never wanted a male . . . until Theo. A small part of her knew she could have been happy with Theo had she stayed in that marriage. But there was Yuri. So long as Yuri existed, she would never be happy with anyone else.

"Then you did the right thing," Zalia said softly and took her daughter's paw. "You deserve to be happy, Enya. I'm proud of you for reaching for happiness!" Tears started to Zalia's eyes and shimmered there, unshed.

"Oh, Mom," Enya said and squeezed her mother's fingers. "Don't cry!"

Aliona rubbed Zalia's shoulder. Tears were in her eyes as well. "It's so hard," she said, looking at Enya mistily, "to see you growing up. Where is that little girl I used to spank across my knee?"

Enya laughed. She looked at her mother curiously. "So . . . How did Grandmom find out about you, Mom?"

Aliona and Zalia glanced at each other again. This time, Zalia flattened her ears sheepishly.

"I didn't walk in on her, it was nothing like that," Aliona said, still rubbing Zalia's shoulder. "A long time ago, before you were born, Roan's mother was abducted and taken far away. Taken here, actually."

Enya's ears pricked forward. No one had ever told her that!

"Zalia was so distraught," Aliona went on, glancing at her daughter sympathetically. "She would cry into her pillow every night. One night, I couldn't stand it. I crawled in her bed with her and held her the night through . . . and I began to understand that she . . ." Aliona cleared her throat.

"I wasn't in love with Lea," Zalia said, looking at Enya with emphatic blue eyes. She frowned sadly. "But Lea is and was very special to me. To have her hurt like that . . ." Zalia sniffed, and her unshed tears trickled free at last. She bowed her head, and Aliona pulled her close, hugging her in her arm.

Enya watched with a heavy heart as her grandmother comforted her mother. She had never guessed that Zalia and Lea . . . She looked at Aliona and wondered about her grandmother's love life and what secrets she had kept for so many years. How many girls had Aliona been with? Enya's eyes sparkled mischievously - and she asked.

"Enya!" Zalia scolded, her ears pricking forward.

Aliona laughed. "No, Zalia, it's alright. The whole point of this conversation is to share our experience and advice." She looked at Enya. "I have been with exactly three females, Enya. Two you know . . . the other you do not."

Kira, Enya thought instantly and stared at her grandmother with round eyes. And perhaps Hye? Hmm. But her grandmother didn't seem the type. Kira did, though.

"So before someone comes barging in here, any last minute . . . advice?" Enya said meaningfully. She glanced out the window: the morning was waning toward afternoon. The decorations were probably up at the great balcony, the platters of food were probably laid out, being kept warm under their steamy lids by Zaldon's spell.

"Sex advice?" Zalia said. She glanced uncomfortably at her mother.

"Well, I know you both like cock," Enya said shamelessly. "But now that I know you also like --"

"Enya!" Zalia scolded again. "Language!"

Aliona laughed and eased up from her chair, adjusting her blue shawl. "I'll go and check on Kira. I know she's probably stealing food down in the kitchen - or else raiding the pantry of its wine." She smiled at Enya. "You look beautiful, my Enya. I can't wait for the moment when you stand under the arch and pledge your life to Yuri." She touched Enya's face, and Enya smiled. Their eyes met, and she knew they were both wishing Xela was there to see this day.

Aliona left quietly, and Enya looked at her mother. She suddenly realized that she was probably more experienced than Zalia. But she had to wonder what she could really ask her mother regardless. Every female was unique, whether she had big pussy lips or small, a big clit or a tiny clit. Learning to please a pussy was like learning the combination to a lock. Enya knew Yuri's combination and could make her erupt like clockwork. But fucking her with a strap-on . . . that was awkward.

Enya cleared her throat. "So . . . Zaldon gave me a . . . strap-on --" Zalia's eyes popped "--- as a wedding gift," Enya finished, wincing.

". . . has Zaldon lost his mind?" Zalia said indignantly. The blue eyes were large and incredulous. "Why on earth . . .?"

"He didn't _plan_it," Enya protested. "He was going to give it to Ceara," she said, laughing. "But . . . he overheard me and Yuri arguing. . . ."

". . . about the fact that she's been with males."

Enya wasn't surprised that her mother had guessed. Enya had confessed her fears to Zalia before.

"Yeah," Enya said glumly and stared at her lap. "I keep thinking of the males she's slept with, thinking she'll leave me because . . ."

"Enya," Zalia scolded softly, "you don't need a penis to keep Yuri around! She loves you! She loves you deeply. Somehow, I've always known it."

Enya smiled at her mother gratefully. "She likes when I . . . do her with the strap-on. She said she even liked it better than the real thing."

"I can imagine. The real thing couldn't last nearly as long."

They laughed.

"But I want to do it right," Enya insisted. "I want to get her at the right angle . . . brush her spot."

"Ah . . ." Zalia smiled. The G Spot. "Then you've come to the right female. See? It pays to have a mother who likes cock!"

Lea was dressed for the wedding, and Theo thought she looked wonderful. Her big breasts were wrapped in a silk black shawl, the edges of which were trimmed gold. Gold studs were in her ears and gold rings glinted on her fingers. She smelled as good as she looked, and her long white mane was even pinned to the side with black feathers.

Lea snatched Loryn's sack of herbs, and Loryn's mouth fell open when she hurled it over the garden wall.

Theo lifted his brows: she had a good arm.

"Sugar . . ." Loryn wheedled.

"Don't you 'Sugar' me!" Lea cried, jamming her paws on her hips. "How can you think to get wasted on my baby's special day! And then what are you doing?" She looked in disgust at the orange-halves in their paws and smacked them away.

Theo watched the fruit go spiraling off. His brows shot up when Lea grabbed her father by the ear and pulled him up from the bench.

"Owowow! Let go of Daddy's ear! I promise I'll never again --"

"That's what you say every time!" Lea accused. Still tugging her father by the ear, she led him away into the house. "Come on, Theo!"

Theo snapped up on reflex at Lea's command: she had sounded for a moment like his growling father.

A Lea marched along, breasts and mane bouncing, Loryn followed at an odd crouching walk, still making the protests.

"Lea . . . Daddy just needed it to relax . . . Don't tell your mother - please."

"Mom knows!"

Theo followed, trying with much difficulty not to laugh at Loryn's predicament.

They passed through the kitchen - through which many buff males were still tramping in and out with platters - and into the sitting room, where Kilyan had finally gotten Mio and Zee to sleep. Theo almost laughed: Kilyan's head was back and his mouth was open as he slept. He was already spruced up for the ceremony: tawny brown feathers were woven in the side of his mane and a choker of bird bones was around his throat.

Slumped on the couch beside Kilyan, Keeno was holding LiAnh. Both he and the infant were sleeping. Keeno's head was to the side, and LiAnh clung to his chest, smiling in his sleep. Theo could understand why Kilyan was exhausted: Mio and Zee had probably kept Zaldon's house up the night through screaming. But Keeno? He was sleeping out of pure laziness.

Much like Kilyan, Keeno had feathers in his mane for the ceremony, as well as a long beaded necklace with a brown feather on it. In his lap, little LiAnh had been dressed up by Lea: he wore tiny black feathered bracelets on his wrists and ankles, and there were black feathers in his mane.

Inden was standing facing a corner, and given the stiff way in which he stood, Theo knew instantly that he'd been spanked. He glanced over at one of the couches and his heart leapt: Lynny was sitting on the couch opposite Kilyan and Keeno with Wynn across his lap. He was spanking her.

"I'll tell my daddy!" Wynn vowed, tears streaming down her angry face.

"Tell your daddy," Lynny said and whacked her little butt again, "but I bet you won't talk back to me again! Not on your life!"

"Ah! I'm t-tellin'! I will!"

"Good! Maybe your father will see what a difference spanking your ornery behind makes!"

Over on the opposite couch, Kilyan snorted in his sleep.

Lynny let Wynn up, and she climbed from his lap looking sullen. She rubbed a fist in her eye, glaring at him bitterly. He pointed silently to a corner, and she stamped to it.

"And I bet I won't catch you licking Inden's dick again either!" he called after her.

Theo almost busted up laughing. Clearly, Wynn had been caught in yet another attempt to imitate something she'd walked in on her father doing. . . . or having done to him.

Wynn stamped to the corner with her mane streaming and folded her arms. Her mane was wild with glossy curls for the evening's festivities, and a flower had been placed in them, its fresh bloom preserved by Yuri's spell. She had many bracelets on her skinny wrists and ankles, clicking softly with painted wooden beads.

Lynny was also decorated for the ceremony, but Theo was surprised to see the garland of pink flowers he'd put around his throat. Several of the garlands hung around his thick neck, and one garland crowned his white mane.

"Julyan insisted . . ." Lynny said when he noticed Theo staring. He coughed, embarrassed, and looked at Lea, who still had Loryn by the ear. "Ha! Bring someone else for me to spank?"

"Would that work?" Lea said angrily. She released her father, and Loryn straightened up, rubbing his ear sheepishly.

Lynny grinned at Loryn and patted the cushion beside him. Loryn sat. The two of them began to talk, but before Theo could hear much of the conversation, Lea turned to him and took his paw. She smiled and led him up the stairs.

"I have a gift for you," she said as they went.

Theo's ears pricked forward. "Is it . . . bigger than a breadbox?"

Lea laughed girlishly.

Theo smiled: he liked Lea. He could see a lot of her in Roan. They had the same sweetness, the same wonderful smell. Both of them were warm and caring. And both of them loved children.

Lea led Theo into Zaldon and Julyan's bedroom, and Theo stiffened when he saw Enya. She was sitting at Julyan's vanity, her mass of curls spilling to the side, her curvy body wrapped in a silk top and skirt . . . and she was gorgeous. Theo almost got hard. She was talking happily to Zalia, and the two of them were so absorbed in the conversation, they didn't even look up when Lea and Theo came in.

Lea went to the bed and pulled a box from under it. She straightened up and beckoned Theo, still beaming as he came to her.

Theo looked at the box. It was small and made of wood, a carved box of the type sold in the market for keepsakes. Lea opened the latch and lifted the lid. The inside of the box was lined in red velvet. And on the velvet . . .

". . . peacock feathers?" Theo said. His cheeks got a little hot. He never thought he'd see the day when his mother-in-law would be giving him sex toys.

Lea nodded, her long white mane cascading around her shoulders. Her black eyes twinkled mischievously as she looked at Theo. "I want my son to have a wonderful wedding night. I know he's very sensitive. And I know where." She stepped forward and whispered in Theo's ear.

Theo's face got hotter. "Th-Thank you, Lea," he sputtered, trying to push away the dirty thoughts Lea's instructions had inspired. He looked at her warmly. "Really. Thank you!" He hugged her tight. He smiled when her small paw stroked his mane.

"Of course, Theo. You're my son now - you're mine!" Lea said happily. She kissed his cheek and pulled back to smile at him. "Now!" she said briskly. She closed the keepsake box and set it on the bed. "Let's get you ready to marry my baby!"

Zalia rose from her chair and joined them. She stuck her paws on her hips and appraised Theo. "We'll start with brushing his fur --"

"Then mane oil," Lea added thoughtfully.

Theo groaned - but that didn't stop the torture from beginning. Lea and Zalia brushed him down, smoothed him with mane oil and brushed him again, braided feathers into his mane, tied necklaces of beads around his throat - and all while Enya sat on the edge of the canopied bed, watching in amusement.

"Where is your father?" Lea wondered, frowning.

"I think Sade should be downstairs with Amrosa," Zalia added. She and Lea were behind Theo, carefully brushing his long gray mane down his back. They were trying to get the unruly tangles out of the ends, but Theo knew it was a process only Roan had mastered.

"Let's go and find them," Lea said. "They should be here, supporting their son!"

"Alright," Zalia added, sounding distracted. "Just . . . let me get this last tangle. Son of a bitch!" she snarled in frustration.

"Zalia!" cried Lea. "Language!"

Theo and Enya exchanged smiles. Enya suddenly dropped her eyes way, and standing there as Lea and Zalia struggled with his mane, Theo looked at her curiously.

"There," sighed Zalia. "That's the best we can do. Honestly, where is Amrosa? She should have been helping us!"

Theo knew where Sade was: out somewhere sulking as he avoided attending the wedding. No doubt Amrosa was off looking for him. But he didn't stop Lea and Zalia from leaving the room in search of them. When they had gone, he took an uncertain step toward Enya.

Enya rose suddenly from the bed and went to the window, where she stood with her back to him.

"Enya, you look . . ." Theo swallowed hard. "Good enough to bite."

Enya laughed sadly.

"What's the matter?" Theo came to her. He hesitated, then gently pushed a curl back from her eyes. Her lashes fluttered at his touch. They had always fluttered at his touch . . .

"Nothing's the matter," Enya lied.

"Nervous?"

"A little."

"Don't be. Yuri loves you, Enya. If I didn't think so, I wouldn't be so afraid of her."

Enya laughed. "She doesn't know about us, Theo."

"But she might soon," Theo said weakly.

Enya looked at him quickly. "What?" She scowled. "Who did you blab to? If Yuri finds out what we did, I'll --!"

"I'm so glad I divorced you."

"Shut up."

They laughed.

"It was just the one time," Theo said after a pause. "I doubt she'd be angry about one time."

Enya snorted. "Then you don't know Yuri. If she finds out, she'll never trust us alone again."

"Should she?"

Enya looked up to hear the soft tone in Theo's voice. His dark eyes were warm with affection. And desire. She trembled when he drew close. He leaned in, looking at her lips.

"Wh-What are you doing?" she whispered breathlessly.

Theo kept leaning. "I don't know." He kissed her - warmly, hungrily on the mouth.

Enya didn't resist. Her paws grabbed his arms and their heads twisted as they kissed. His paw closed on her tit, squeezing through her top, and she melted.

"Mm . . . Enya . . ."

"Theo. . ."

"Ha! I knew it!"

Enya and Theo broke away from each other almost frantically. Sade was standing in the doorway, pointing a triumphant finger at them.

"I knew it!" he repeated, slurring as he staggered in. "I knew it! I knew you were straight! Why can't you just marry this girl? Call off this farce?"

Theo squeezed his eyes shut. "Dad . . ."

Enya screamed softly when Sade collapsed to the floor on his face.
