"Where've you been?"
Volt was wearing his favorite bathrobe, a silky red and purple robe with a picture of a tsunami going across it, resembling a Japanese kimono. Its belt was undone and he held it together only with his crossed arms. Regal didn't need to guess whether he was completely naked underneath.
"I'm sorry, babe." Regal stumbled through the hallway toward Volt. He bent down to kiss his gray fox on the forehead, who pushed him back. "Where were you?" Volt repeated, his voice intensifying, making the French in his voice more pronounced. Regal shook his head, conceding to his fox's shining silver eyes.
"I went over to Downing."
"Downing? That's over thirty minutes away. What were you doing there?"
Regal threw his suit case and jacket on the table. "Clearing my head. It's been a hard day."
Volt placed his hands on Regal's back. "More than usual?" his voice softened and no long digging.
"Yea."
Regal turned and pressed his mouth against Volt's mouth. Volt gasped a little in surprise, but he quickly came around and wrapped his hands around Regal's neck. "Thank you, baby," said Regal through his clasped lips. Volt smiled. "For a bad, you're certainly in a good mood." Regal beamed back. "I didn't say it was a bad day." Volt inclined his head. "Then tell me what happened." Regal undid his tie and unbuttoned his dress shirt.
"I wish you wouldn't wear an undershirt. I'd like to see more of your body when you come home." Volt snickered. Regal snagged a nip at Volt's ear. "In time, Voltaire." He rolled his tongue. He threw off his dress shirt as Volt ran his hands around his belt. "So...you gonna tell me more not?" Volt purred as he unbuckled Regal's belt. He was stopped when Regal scooped him off his feet.
"First...let's see what you've been up to today!"
