Character Bio: Gale Winthrop

"He's a monkey. And a ninja. What's to question?"

Background: Gale was born and raised in Rillotia under the Order of the Blossom. He was abandoned as a child into the Order's care and trained with them from an early age. He loved each member as if they were his brothers and sought to uphold the integrity and honour of the Order. At the time, the current Elemental Lord of Wind looked upon the Order_with doubt and considered him to be an unknown factor in the peace of Rillotia. There were many skirmishes between the Elemental Lord and the _Order, races as to which organisation could subdue the latest threat the quickest. One such encounter accidentally led to the Elemental Lord to discover Gale's compatibility with the Seal of Fate's Breath.

Instead of renewing his efforts to kill Gale for this discovery, the Elemental Lord instead extended the olive branch of peace, stating that Gale was the bridge between them that would finally end their warring. This level of insight and wisdom really inspired Gale and he sought both tuition from his masters within the Order and the then-Elemental Lord.

When it came time for him to assume the mantle, he had grown into a level headed young man who sought peace first above all other actions before resorting to conflict. He has taken this lesson through all of his reign and will only ever resort of violence if it is absolutely necessary. He prioritises the people of Pollenburn above all else.

Though many doubt his actions predominantly due to how he prefers subterfuge over outright assaults and how his actions subsequently are not made public, his presence is still known and felt. Not only in Pollenburn or Taranebra but all over Rillotia and indeed Mortaelis.

Primary Class:

Ninja of the Flowers*- A unique class reserved entirely for Gale Winthrop. Mixes deadly assassination techniques with the frightening beauty and elegance of a floral theme. Incredibly fast and deadly at both ranged and close quarters combat. Provides the unique capability to fly.

"Death is beautiful."

Secondary Class:

Aeromancer - The very winds are within this class' command.

"This is a breeze"

Assassin - A class specialising in fast, stealthy attacks that deal increased damage when foes are caught by surprise. In head on combat, they will rarely win but are experts in escape tactics and poisons.

"Dead before you know it."

Equipment:

Wind Wakizashi - "Now that's cutting edge."

A side blade that Gale predominantly uses in battle especially when in close quarters combat. It is a blade infused with his secondary Seal, the Seal of Blossoms. When fully active, it sends out cherry blossoms where it slices. At the maximum of his speed, the blade can't even be seen, just the blossoms.

Kunai of the Rose - "What's the plural of 'Kunai' anyway? Kunais?"

Actually two components. The bandolier that Gale wears across his torso has a matter fabrication unit that automatically generates these specialised kunai that are infused with his primary Seal, the Seal of Fate's Breath. He can use them in a variety of techniques that channels the power of winds.

Ninja Bombs - "Poof!"

Gale carries a satchel of explosive pellets on his hip that can be used for both a quick escape and offensive techniques. Each one is a smokebomb capable of generating a smokescreen that can cover a moderate area.

Breath of Destiny - "Every breath you take. Every move you make."

The Seal Weapon generated from the Seal of Fate's Breath. This weapon is predominantly a stylised bow with sharpened golden edges. Though it has no bowstring, Gale is capable of generating arrows of pure, compressed air that can cut through flesh with ease though they have difficulty slicing through metal. To this effect, the Breath of Destiny can also fold together to form two curved blades around Gale's arm and extending from the sides of his fists. He is rarely seen using the Breath of Destiny because he does not consider it a 'true weapon for a ninja'.

Signature Move:

Tornado Drill - "Drilling just took another meaning."

Gale throws one of his kunai forward and, imbued with the power of the winds, it creates a horizontal tornado that is capable of drilling through all but the thickest armour. Eventually it will lose momentum.

Wind Blade - "Slice 'em and dice 'em."

A slash from either the Wind Wakizashi or a blade-form Breath of Destiny. Thousands of streams of wind are compressed into a crescent shaped form. Their speed and constant movement allows them to slice through flesh cleanly like any other sword. The beauty of this technique is its ability to maintain its shape even after long distances.

Gale Thorn - "Bitch, please."

A shot from the _Breath of Destiny_is quickly followed up by a delayed blast of wind that is more than capable of knocking entire tanks off the ground. The delay is completely controlled by Gale and can fire even up to five minutes after the initial blast ensuring control of the battlefield.

Rising Rock - "Shoryuken!"

Gale fires an arrow from the Breath of Destiny into the ground which generates an advancing blast of wind that tears up the very ground towards its enemy. Short distance is the price for the incredible power and frequency of this attack.

Wire Wind - "Piano wire would've been just as good."

Gale throws one of his kunai forward with dozens of thin garrotte wires strapped to the hilt. The constant spinning of the kunai whips the wires into action, slicing anything that even gets close to the path of the weapon.

Wind Siren's Sonata - "This is your swan song."

One of Gale's flashier techniques. He throws several kunai with garrotte wires attached to it at the ground to form a circle around him. He then focuses his power through it causes the garrotte wires to straighten around him, forming a barrier of wires. He then hits the wires with any of his weapons which generates whipping winds that emit a musical noise all around him. This can be conversely reversed to trap a foe within the circle and tear them apart.

Smokescreen Wind - "Retreeeeeeeeeeet!"

A diversionary tactic where Gale throws several of his ninja bombs into the air and then generates a whirlwind around himself. This whirlwind throws the bombs in various directions, to generate a large smokescreen to give Gale time to reposition himself or sneak up on foes.

Wind Slash - "C-C-Combo Breaker!"

Gale fluidly advances on a foe, mostly one that is defending, and slashes at them with his Wind Wakizashi, executing a flurry of blows before seamlessly switching to the Breath of Fate blade-mode. This combo usually ends with a short-ranged shot from the Breath of Fate.

Hurricane Blade - "You're making me dizzy!"

Gale spins in place with his Wind Wakizashi extended, generating spinning whirlwind that persists around him. Though primarily defensive, he has been known to charge into the midst of foes and execute this technique to scatter them.

Death's Breath - "You've breathed your last."

Gale's deadliest and by far most feared move and prime form of assassination. Gale exhales at close range to a foe, infusing the winds passing from his lips with his power. The winds enter the target's lungs and instantly block the passage of air to and from the lungs, suffocating the target.

Strength - 5 - You might win a few strongman contests but at the risk of a hernia.

Agility - 10 - You're officially one of the fastest beings in the world. You're so fast that the rules of physics have started to blur into fantasy. Funny thing is, you can't keep it up or risk breaking reality. People have dared you to go as fast as you can though. See how fast you can outrun the Apocalypse. Go on. Try it. Dare you.
