The next few days went rather smoothly as Gadget was getting close to finishing the plane.

While Chip was debating the manger Foxglove noticed that Lahwhinie had gone. She poked Dale and told him and asked: "Do you think we will ever see her again?"

With a proper place and with right tools at hand, it took only an afternoon for Gadget to fix up her plane so it was ready for them to head home.
They then found a human plane that was heading for their home city and boarding it like they did before, by flying up through the hole for the landing gear and landed inside it.
After a long time they arrived back home by plane. The Rangers then dropped off Foxglove, Tammy and Sally so they could make the proper arrangement for their new living situation, while Chip, Dale and Gadget went home to make their arrangement.

"It was great. Let me tell you about some of the things I did." Monty said and began telling about the adventures he had had while the others listened patiently. It was really just the usual about almost dropping off a cliff to one's death, almost being eaten by commodores and foiling some criminal's plan.
Monty: "So, what about you guys? Did you have fun? I can see from you furs that you have gotten plenty of sun."
Chip: "Well, it wasn't as exciting as your trip, Monty, but it wasn't completely uneventful. Listen, Monty, we have something important to tell you and that is that I am going to leave the Rangers to be the Mate of Tammy Squirrel."

Gadget: "And don't worry about me. I was thinking about staying with Dale and Foxglove here. So if you want to you can travel the world with your mom." Gadget neglected to tell him all about their arrangements because she didn't want any dirty commentary.
"So what will happen with the Rescue Rangers? I know we there hasn't been much crime as of late but there might be in the future" Monty said thoughtful."
Chip: "Well, we can perhaps train some new recruits to become the next generation of Rescue Rangers. But let us handle that while you go traveling the world. Hopefully you will find tons of cheese out there."
Monty: "That sounds like a good idea. And don't worry I will come visit you guys as often as I can. Friends forever!"
All: "Friends forever!"
Monty then packed up his stuff and was ready to go, but beforehand they held a party with plenty of cheese being served.
The next day they said farewell for now and Monty flew away with the Ranger Plane.
