this is just a story i had to do for my Creative writing class. but i figured (because it had a furry related theme) that id be a good place to post it to the public, here on Fa. im not a writer so this is not the best thing out there. just figured out id post it here. it was not easy for me to do either. it took me a week to get this thing done. so please no bashing me. like i said. im not a writer. this was just a class assginment

NightShadow's Saturday
NightShadow was just your average 18 year old wolf who lived alone in a small apartment. He lived a simple life. He was still in school and he had a part time job. He would go to school then come home and take a shower. Then he would head out to work, then come home, do any homework he had if any, get a snack then go to bed. This was his daily routine. It never changed. Occasionally he would get a visitor. He would plan to go to events or go out with friend's weeks in advance. This was one of those weeks. This weekend, NightShadow planned to go out to lunch with his good friend Alex who was a pink fox with a black striped tail. They loved to spend time together. Often tomes they'd go to the beach, go to a restaurant, or just stay home and watch movies. This particular weekend, they were planning to go out to the beach, and then go to a nice diner after. Little did they know the danger ahead of them.
Early morning Saturday:
The phone rings
"Who is it this early in the morning" complains Night. The phone rings a second time and Night gets out of bed.
"IM COMING, IM COMING.... SHEESH". The phone rings once again as Night reaches it. "Hello. Who is it calling at this hour? Its only 7 a.m" Night exclaims.
"HEY!! It's Alex. You still up for this weekend? Sorry to pester ya this early. Just I was kind of bored and excited for today and I couldn't sleep." NightShadow blinks his eyes a few times before replying.
"Y... yeah. Just give me a few to wake up. I'll come get you after I take a shower and get something to eat." Says Night. Alex replies
"Alrighty... see ya then. Bye."
"Bye." Night hangs up the phone.
Dan 2
"Well... that was an unexpected wake up call. Oh well. I gotta get my tail moving I guess." He goes to sit back down on the edge of his bed and he rubs his eyes. Night sits on the bed for another five minutes before he decides to get up.
"Alright, time to get going" he goes to the closet and grabs a pair of pants, boxers, an under shirt and a t-shirt.
"That should do... I guess." He sighs. He then proceeded to the bathroom. He comes back out 20 minutes later all dressed.
"AAHHHH much better. Some coffee sounds great right now." Night goes to the kitchen and turn on the coffee maker and sits at the table. He then turns on the TV on the counter.
"Wonder if there's anything good on." He scrolls through the channels for roughly 5 minutes. "Nope, nothing good on. I'll just throw on the news for background noise. Coffee should be done by now anyway." He stands up and gets a cup from the cupboard and pours himself a mug, then sits back down at the table again. He sips it.
"That's a good cup of coffee for once. I should probably call Alex and let him know I'm leaving soon." He sips his coffee slowly and sits quietly as the TV is still at a low volume, just barely audible. He finishes his coffee and sets the cup in the sink and turns off the TV. Night goes to his room to grab his keys, he then goes to the door and exits, locking the door behind him. As he turns away from the door and heads toward the stairs, he pulls out his cell phone and calls Alex. The phone rings twice before Alex answers.
"Hello??" says Alex.
"Hey its Night, I'm headed out now. Do you want me to pick you up anything on my way or are you set." Night asks.
"I'm all good here!!" exclaims Alex.
"Ok... be there in a bit." NightShadow hangs up and by this time he is outside the front door of the apartment building. He then goes around the side of his Chevy s-10 truck and unlocks the door. A car coming down the road just barely misses him as his tail grazes the side of the passing car.
"Woooahhh. WATCH WHERE YOURE GOING IDIOT!!!!!" he yells. As he unlocks the truck and gets in.
Dan 3
"Ow... that kind of hurt" he says as he rubs the tip of his tail. He then proceeded to get in the truck. Night then starts his truck and pulls away. He then pulls up to Alex's apartment 15 minutes later and honks the horn. Alex jumps at the sound of the horn then runs to the window and looks out it.
"Oh yayyy!! NightShadow is here!!" he exclaims. He quickly grabs his hoodie then rushes out the door. Night leans over and opens the door for Alex. Alex then jumps into the car then closes the door. Alex puts on his seatbelt and yells
"HEY NIGHT!!!!!"
"Jeez... you are really hyper. What's got into you?" Night asks.
"I had like five cups of coffee this morning. Plus I'm really excited to hang out with you today. It's been almost a month since you actually had the time to go out and do something other than work." Says Alex.
"I was looking forward to it as well. Work has just been so busy lately. Work at the shop has been hectic. I've had people bringing in computers like 4 times a day, saying there was a virus or something. Must be that there are some new viruses or something... Anyways... that's beside the fact. So... to the beach." Night explains.
"YUSSS!!!!" exclaims Alex. Night pulls off again and proceeds to head to the beach. They then pull up to the first intersection and stop. As they start to pull off, they almost get slammed into by another car.
"HOLY HELL!! IS IT INTERNATIONAL DRIVE LIKE A FREAKING MORON DAY TODAY?!?!?!" Night Yells.
"OH MY GOD!! DID WE ALMOST DIE!??" Alex exclaims.
"No, were fine. Just people are driving like idiots today. I don't know why but I almost got hit by a car this morning as well. And it looks almost like the same car that almost hit me this morning." Explains Night.
"You almost got hit this morning? Oh my god... are you okay?" asks Alex.
"Yeah. I'm fine. It just grazed my tail. It hurt a little but I'm perfectly fine." Says Night. Night pulls away from the intersection and drives off. About 3 miles down the road Alex yells
Dan 4
"STOP THE CAR!!!" He abruptly stops the truck.
"What's wrong?" asks Night.
"I gotta pee. I think it's the coffee. When I drink coffee, it goes right through me." Explains Alex. "Umm.... I needed to know that. Go ahead. Go do your business." Night tells Alex.
"Okie." Alex disappears into the trees and comes back 2 minutes later. "Better?" asks Night.
"YUSS" replies Alex. Night pulls away from the side of the road and continues to the beach. They finally arrive 20 minutes later.
"YAYY!!!! Were here!!!!" Alex says excitedly. NightShadow shuts off the truck and steps out and Alex does the same.
"Lock your door." Night says as he locks his.
"Okay. Will do" He says as Alex locks his door and closes it. They start walking toward the beach. NightShadow spots the SAME car again.
"I think that's the same car AGAIN. I swear it's following me." Says Night in an aggravated tone.
"Take it easy." Says Alex trying to calm Night.
"We came to the beach to have fun today."
"You're right" He sighs.
"Let's go." They start toward the beach. Soon they are on the beach and they begin setting up. After they are set, they begin to walk toward the water
." It is a nice day out today. It's actually only supposed to get into the low 80s today" Night tells Alex.
"Really?? That not too bad. It's a lot better than it had been all summer" replies Alex.
"Heh, yeah. And I haven't been able to get out and enjoy it. Been too damn busy with work. I mean don't get me wrong, the air conditioning is nice but I haven't really had the time and get outside and enjoy the warm weather" Explains Night by this time they finally reach the water's edge. Night decides to stick his paw into the water first.
Dan 5
"Wow. That's not that bad. Surprisingly, it's quite warm. Actually it's quite nice." Night wades into the water and Alex follows. They splash back and forth for a while then Night decides to go for a swim for a while on his own. A little while later he goes back to where Alex is.
"Hey Alex." Night says.
"Yes?" he says. "I'm hungry. Want to get something to eat? "Asks night.
"I think there's a snack cart up the walk a little bit."
"Sure!! I could go for something myself!!" replies Alex excitedly as his tail begins to wag.
"Alright then... let's go!" Night exits the water and Alex follows close behind. They get to the cart and order a couple ice cream cones then walk back to their spot.
"Well Alex, you were right, I definitely needed to get out. I am having a great time today. This was a great idea!" exclaims NightShadow.
"Thanks! I've been wanting to get a chance to finally hang out. It's been a long while" says Alex.
"Yeah I know." Night sighs.
"I just wish I had more days off. It's not easy working at that place. I like it but sometimes it gets too overbearing and it's hard to keep up with peoples demands on a daily basis. But forget that now" Night finishes the last bite of his cone. Alex points to a couple others playing volleyball.
" HEY!!!" Alex shouts startling Night as he jumps a little.
"What?!" asks Night.
"That looks like fun. Can we play?" Alex yells ah his tail wags frantically.
"Sure. Let's go ask them." says Night as he stands up. Alex does the same then finishes his last bite of his ice cream cone. They both walk up to the other furs playing volleyball.
"Hey. Do you mind if we join in with you guys?" he asks
"Sure" the two other furs reply. They begin to play. Several hours later they decide to call it quits. They both go back to their spot and decide to relax for the last few hours. Around 6 o clock, it is fairly dark and Alex turns his head to Night.
Dan 6
"Hey... NightShadow, it's getting pretty late. We should probably head home."
"Yeah. You're right." Says night a short time after. They start to pack up their stuff. "Night" Alex says quietly.
"NightShadow."
"Yes?" Night Questions. Alex replies
"I'm going to run to the bathroom real quick." NightShadow nods.
"Ok. Ill finish up with these last couple things."Alex disappears into the darkness. Alex enters the bathroom and comes out 5 minutes later. As he steps out a sergal steps in front of Alex. He stands about 6 feet tall. White chest and his back is black. Its head resembles a cross between a wolf and a shark, with pointed ears and a long tail. Alex gulps.
"Y...yes???" he shudders. "Who... who are you? And... What... a...are you?"Asks Alex the sergal grins and chuckles.
"That is none of your business who I am. As for what I am... I'm a sergal" The sergal then starts to attack Alex and he begins to scream
"NIGHT!!!! NIGHTSHADOW HELP!!!!!!" Nights ears perk up
"ALEX!!! ALEX WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!!" he shouts Alex continues to shout and NightShadow is soon able to locate Alex and the sergal. They are both on the ground as the sergal continues to claw at Alex.
"HEY!!!" Night Shouts.
"GET OFF OF HIM!!!!" he then rushes in and slashes back at the 6 foot tall creature with his claws and manages to gash his legs, tail, chest and his left eye, scaring him off. Night bends down to Alex.
"You ok. You look in bad shape." He helps Alex to stand.
"Y...yeah. I'm okay... just... a little Shook up and bet up is all" he says
"Let's just go home" NightShadow replies,
Dan 7
"Good idea." They walk back and grab their stuff then back to the truck. They throw the stuff into the bed and head home.
"I have a question Night." States Alex
"What is it? Night asks.
"Can I stay at your place? After this incident, I don't feel safe at home alone." Says Alex.
"Yeah that's fine. I have a spare bed you can sleep on." Night replies.
"thanks. I appreciate it Night."
"No problem Alex." The rest of the ride is silent as they sit in the truck. All they can hear is the rushing of the air around the truck. They finally get back to NightShadow's apartment an hour later. They leave all the beach supplies in the truck and go up to Nights apartment. They go to the living room and sit on the sofa.
"What was that about?" asked Night
"I... I don't know. I just came out of the bathroom and it was there. And it attacked me. It was ruthless. It wouldn't stop no matter how much I struggled. I don't know what it wanted. I didn't have the time to ask before it attacked me." Alex explained to NightShadow
"I should have gone with you. I had a feeling something was up. I seen that car 3times today and I almost got killed twice today. And so didn't you. It stalked me. I know there was something wrong when I seen that car. I should have seen it earlier" Said night.
"It's okay Night. You didn't know" replied Alex.
"I'm going to go get you some towels, blankets and some clean clothes." Night said as he stood up and headed into his bedroom. He dug through his room for towels. He grabbed 3 clean blankets from his closet and looked for clothes that would fit Alex in his dresser. During this time NightShadow's door crashed open and the sergal charged in, this time more aggravated. He saw Alex and ran toward him as Alex shouted for night
"NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!" just as the sergal reaches Alex, Night comes out and jumps on the back of the sergal and it slams its back against the wall as well as NightShadow. He clung tight to the sergal as he clawed at it, trying to keep a grip on the giant creature. It continues to thrash around the apartment breaking glass knick-knacks and mirrors while it continued to shake off
Dan 8
Night. It managed to shake him off and pin him to the floor and readies for the final slash. But Night had beat him too it. Night took one big swing to the throat of the giant 6 foot creature on top of him. It fell onto its side and lay twitching on the floor, bleeding out until finally it stopped. Night then stood up and looked at it for some time before going over to Alex.
"Are you ok night??" Alex asked
"Yeah. It's dead" Night replied, breathing heavily and staring at the massive heap of fur and blood on the floor.
"Let's get cleaned up." Said Alex in a quiet voice
"Yeah" said Night. They both walked down the hallway toward the bedrooms. This day was over finally........
