Light and Dark Ch.2: The Feud
#2 of Light & Dark
Warning, this is really long so get comfortable, eat a cookie and maybe listen to some music as you are soothed by a lengthy world building chapter that introduces the other alphas as well as details the back story and lives of Booker, Maiya, and Joseph.
Yawning and stretching, Joseph slowly regained consciousness smelling cooking food from the kitchen as he laid in his alpha's bed. It was a week since they formed the new wolf pack and a day since Joseph moved into Keith's apartment. Rolling over he laid his head on Keith's pillow, taking in the scent of his dominant wolf and feeling tingles rush down his spine in a euphoric release as he did it, gods he loved his alpha's scent. Coming back to his senses he got up and put clothes on as he and Keith spent the entire night in their werewolf forms, naked. Leaning around the partition that made up the "bedroom", though he used that term lightly as it was only a king-sized bed and dresser separated from the main room by a few sheets. In fact the apartment was better described as an artist's studio as it was a large bare room with furniture arranged in groups so you could at least guess their functions. For example, on the opposite side of the entrance way was a leather couch and recliner facing a flat-screen mounted on the wall in between two of the four large windows that faced the street below which served the function of a living room. The kitchen was to the right of the entrance way taking up the corner of the large space with stainless steel counters reminding the young wolf of a restaurant's kitchen. Keith stood in there clothed only in an apron with his tail wagging to the tune of a song the black wolf was humming as he cooked both of their breakfasts. To the left of the entrance was the only truly separated room, the bathroom. Walking in, the beta made for the sink, washing out his mouth to get rid of the rancid morning breath he had. The bathroom, like the main apartment was bare-brick with a polished wood floor though unlike the apartment it smelled like the sea thanks to Keith burning incenses in there for so long. It was a nice apartment, large enough so Joseph didn't feel claustrophobic. In fact that was the one thing the young man had against him. He couldn't stand being in small rooms or spaces and felt relieved when Keith asked his beta to move in with him, feeling a sense of freedom to not be stuck in his closet-space of a dorm room any more.
Exiting the bathroom, he was greeted by his alpha with a sleepy grin on his wolfish mug. "Breakfast's ready Joe, come eat whenever you're ready!" Sitting down at the kitchen table, he looked across the table to find his alpha practically tearing into his plate. "Jeez, were you hungry alpha?" The younger wolf chuckled as the boy's alpha paused in his onslaught. "I'm sorry Joe, I can't help it! Getting used to my new instincts are going to take a while!" Shrugging, Joseph began eating his own breakfast which consisted of eggs and bacon, the holy grail of breakfast meals... at least to him. "You know you have a visitor coming today Keith." Confused the black wolf looked up licking pieces of the remainder of his meal from the sides of his mouth. "What? Who's coming to visit me?" "Oh just another alpha like you, routine I hear so the other Portland wolf packs can know if you are going to be a problem or not, nothing to worry about really." The black wolf sighed, leaning back in his chair. "Fine, as long as they don't stir up trouble, I won't."
It was around noon when she arrived, and boy did she stand out. Keith could tell she wasn't one of his usual customers in the book-cafe, the frilly ,black, gothic dress not being something you saw normally in this part of Portland. The japanese woman wearing the dress looked about his age and she wore black make-up the same shade as her charcoal black hair, though what stood out were her hazel brown eyes, being the only color visible on the woman. She sat down and beckoned me to come over to her table which stood in the corner of the shop next to the window. "You must be the new alpha," she said in a whisper which thanks to his heightened senses could pick up on without the other customers overhearing. "I'm Maiya Tsukimori, I am sure your beta filled you in on what I'm here for." The storeowner nodded, feeling a slight pressure on him as he made eye contact. Making sure not to give in to the other alpha's will, he urged her to continue.
"Well here are a few guidelines for being the head of a pack here. One: You do not ever change forms in public, understandable." Keith nodded.
"Okay Two: Do not ever infect someone with our power unless you are sure you are alone and that they are able to keep the secret, if you have even the slightest doubt of their trustworthiness, kill them, understand?" Keith hesitated but nodded. Would it ever have to come to that? He hoped not.
"Three: If you ever feel the need to challenge another pack for any reason, you can only fight someone of the same rank as you. For you that means me or any of the other alphas, and learn from my mistakes, do not challenge them when you are still starting out especially the Head Alpha, long story short I had my ass kicked big time. If you have to, bide your time and learn to fight before you make a fool of yourself.' Keith couldn't help but grin. "I have no idea what a head alpha is, but tell me about that story."
Maiya sighed. "Head alpha is the alpha above all of the other alphas, and they set the general rules for the region as well as advise the other alphas. When I started out a year ago, I didn't like being told how to run my pack and I challenged him. That was a big mistake... Booker, the head alpha, is actually a martial artist and if I'd taken my time to learn that I would have kept my mouth shut. Instead I was tossed around the fighting ring like a ragdoll in front of every werewolf in Portland and my pack was the laughing stock of the city packs for a whole month." Finishing her story, Keith replied. "So now you're cool with him I guess?" Maiya laughed. "He wishes! I'm playing innocent for now, but when he lets his guard down I'm taking the title for myself! Though I hope you can keep that a secret." She said as she gave him an assuring wink. "Before I get off track again!" She pulled out a notepad from her purse and scribbled something down and tore the page off, handing it to Keith.
"Four: For you and your packs protection as well as the public's, you will be spending every full moon with the other packs at that address. I marked down the date of the next full moon for your convenience and word of advice, buy a lunar calender, it helps." Getting up, she patted Keith on the shoulder. "Also get there before sunset, should be obvious why that's a bad idea." The woman left with a silent departure and if you weren't looking at her, you would have never noticed she left. Looking at the note, Keith saw that the address given was the address of a wild-life reserve a few hours north of the city, and that the date was a week away. "Well, not like me and Joseph had any plans next week." Pocketing the note, he returned to his usual place in the store behind the register.
"Yeah, yeah he's fine Booker, don't get your boxers in a twist. No he's not going to be a problem, he's real friendly unlike a certain Irishman I know. I'm kidding, really!" Hanging up her cell, she let out a sigh of relief loud enough for her betas to hear in the next room. "Gods I hate him, little upstart thinks he's good enough to be head alpha. If a 28 year old man can do it I'm sure a 21 year old woman can do it just as well." Calming herself down she walked out of the kitchen and into the living room, collapsing onto the couch into her mate's arms.
The gray wolf she called her mate was once her childhood friend from Osaka, the two growing up together since primary school. Yatori Hanamura and Maiya Tsukimori never seemed to be apart since they became friends, even generating rumors that they were dating in high-school, which eventually did come true. The two Osakan lovebirds never knew about the existence of werewolves until they got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was a full moon and the two were celebrating their anniversary and their acceptance to college by having a moonlight picnic on the outskirts of town and all was well until they were attacked.
It's one thing to see a werewolf, but this wasn't your run of the mill werewolf as it was a type known as a Red-Soul. When you begin to lose control of your transformations for any number of reasons, number 1 being intense stress, your soul will fracture and inflame or in modern terms, develop split-personality disorder with both of your forms developing differently. Your human form will forget they are a werewolf and live a normal life, but the wolf without the human conscience will revert into a beast and attack anything in its territory.
Yato tried to fend off the wolf but was knocked unconscious and bled from a gash in his stomach. Maiya tried to run but was caught. The wolf was tearing her clothes to shreds and it was clear what it intended to do to Maiya. Kneeing the wolf in the gut only enraged the wolf and it bit down on her neck. After she quit thrashing about the wolf continued to shred the clothes to pieces but it did not know that it infected Maiya with lycanthropy. Before the wolf even attempted to ravage her, Maiya was already fully transformed and surging with adrenaline was able to knock the wolf off her now nude body and proceeded to gut the animal with her new claws. Remembering her boyfriend who was slowly bleeding to death, she bit down on his shoulder and let the lycanthropy speed up his healing ten-fold. Waking up an hour later she and her new beta gave in to their instincts and took off into the night enjoying their first full-moon together, and the rest was history.
Yato brushed his mate's hair as she breathed in his scent, enjoying the break from inter-pack politics. "Booker giving you a rough-time again?" Maiya nodded. "I hate him bossing me around Yato. I might have been a pack leader for only a year now, but I still deserve respect! When I'm head alpha, first thing I'm doing is use him as a footrest so he can see how it feels to be stepped on." Yato chuckled and kissed his mate on the cheek. "You do that babe, but don't get too carried away." Hearing that, Maiya couldn't help but look around the room at the rest of her packmates. Troy, Garret, and Drey were working on character sheets for D&D which Maiya promised them that she would be the Dungeon Master. Liam and Yvona however were studying on the couch adjacent of Maiya and Yato's. They were a small pack compared to the others', excluding the new guy's of course, but she loved everyone the same. "Yeah, I promise." "That's my alpha." Yato leaned in once more, licking the side of his mate's face with a passionate feel to it. "Maybe we should leave the others to their own things and take this elsewhere." Maiya said to her mate not wanting to disturb her betas any more than they already have. "I was thinking the same thing." Yato said as he hoisted his mate into his arms carrying her to their pack's collective bedroom.
Booker held his head in his hands, nursing a migraine that was developing since his conversation with Maiya. The Irish-American man tried his best to gain her loyalty over the past year since she became a werewolf but to no avail, the Japanese werewolf just could not find it to trust him no matter how friendly he was. Ever since Maiya entered the Sanctuary she has challenged Booker for the title of Head Alpha a total of five times, all of which she has lost in a humiliating defeat thanks to Booker's experience in both werewolf hand-to-hand combat and judo both of which he is a master at and has since combined them into his own unique fighting style.
Naturally Booker wasn't going to give up his position easily since he gained it in combat from the former Head-Alpha: Jedidiah Grisham a year ago. Despite it being so recent, thinking back gave Booker a sense of nostalgia as it was also the day he gained his new Head-Beta. Jedidiah's tenure was only a week long as he inherited the title from his Alpha who was murdered by the local Hunter chapter. Booker challenged Jed, as he believed that he could be a better Alpha than the middle-aged wolf. As was customary, the challenge was a duel between the two Alphas and everyone expected Jedidiah, at that point a 41 year old seasoned werewolf and an athletic boxing coach would easily take down the smaller, less built 27 year old banker. Well at first they were right, Jed easily got in two good claw swipes that tore into Booker's torso, but that was a short lived victory. Booker was analyzing Jed's fighting style before countering with his own, taking a hold of Jed's swinging arm and using it to flip the muscular brute over his smaller frame. Pinning the muscular gray-wolf to the ground, Booker gave Jed numerous thrashings with his own claws before jumping back to avoid being thrown off by the older wolf, and the two kept at it until Booker pinned Jed a third and final time. By that point Jed was covered in shallow but numerous claw marks and as such soaked in blood and would have surely died had he not been a werewolf. The regenerative abilities unique to werewolves was the only thing keeping the middle-aged gray-wolf alive, he was spent. "You fought well Jed." Booker had said to the older wolf. His timber-wolf body was pinned on top of Jed with their eyes interlocked. Booker only meant to take the title of Head-alpha and gain the other alphas' loyalties so he was surprised when Jed's gaze lowered in submissiveness. "What, are you doing Jed?!" The gray-wolf chuckled and reached up to lick the side of the dominant timber-wolf that pinned him down. "It's exactly what it looks like Alpha..." Booker was shocked as were the two other Alphas of the Sanctuary who were observing the challenge. Jed, the eldest Alpha of the four packs had submitted himself to the youngest and was asking to join the new Head-Alpha's pack. Booker recovered from his astonishment and returned a kiss to the older wolf. "I didn't come here to gain another pack member, but I don't mind. You're welcome in my pack." It wasn't until later that Booker found out that Jed hated being an Alpha, so Booker's victory was Jed's chance to serve as a Beta again. Having done that, Jed's pack eventually decided that Booker was a good enough leader and followed behind Jed joining the Monroe pack.
The Monroe estate was a large one at that at 1000 acres, and having a large family wealth accumulated over 230 years of working in the American banking system and thirty-one pack-members who all chip in would do that. The mansion was a spacious three storied building that you would have thought belonged to a noble. The marble floors and the white molded walls, made the place glow when the sun shone through the large glass windows of the main hall. Since werewolves usually sleep together as a pack, the numerous bedrooms that covered the second floor have since been converted into various bathrooms, offices, and game rooms, with everyone preferring to sleep in the absurdly large master bedroom which took up a third of the third floor. Instead of a bed, the majority of the floor was covered by a custom made mattress with a variety of blankets used as a make-shift cover, and pillows which were strewn about the sleeping area. Booker was just outside the room on the staircase just having finished his conversation with Maiya over his phone and made sure to keep his voice low so that the few betas, and subordinates who had the day off could enjoy their collective nap. Tsukimori had just greeted the new Alpha, a Native American man named Keith Morgan, who was about her age and owned a bookstore in uptown Portland. He hated having to send Maiya to give the new pack the Sanctuary rules, but she was the only one available. Ava was a city council woman and was almost always on the clock, working her ass off to make sure werewolves and vampires are protected by carefully worded laws that, while they did not expose them, ensured their safety in case the secret got out to the public, so she surely wouldn't have been able to greet him. Jeremiah, Jed's cousin and also an Alpha, was a lumberjack that worked on a lumber farm up north and was hours away and he would not have wasted money on gas for a 5-10 orientation to a new pack's leader. If Maiya wasn't closer to Keith as dictated by the address given to Booker by Joseph, he would have gone himself, after all he had the day off and it was only a two hour-drive there and back but what was done was done. "Now that I think about it I should have kept my mouth shut. Who knows what Tsukimori actually said to him?"
Booker is a 28 year old American of Irish descent. He came from a long line of Irish werewolves known to the rest of the world as the myhtical Faoladh. The O'gorman clan as they were known to the locals were an isolated pack of werewolves that would only break the isolationist tendencies sometimes serve the Irish monarchy in times of need or to secretly recruit distant villagers into the pack. The O'gormans lived in Ireland until 1785, when Hunters began to purge the country of werewolves under the guise of soldiers helping drive normal wolves from the island country. At that point they moved to the newly formed United States of America which at that point did not have a major problem with Irish immigration so the pack was easily able to find jobs. Eventually the O'gorman name had changed multiple times due to marriage, eventually settling on Monroe with his great-grandparents marriage in the 1920's.
He himself was 5 foot 9 with an athlete's body thanks to his martial arts training that was covered by a well kept layer of trimmed body hair. His skin was slightly tanned, contradictory to popular belief about people with red hair, thanks to spending hours lounging outside on his days off, enjoying the simple pleasure of being outdoors like all werewolves do. His hair was shaved on the sides leaving the firey red hair on the top of his head to sweep over the right side of his face. His eyes, when they weren't a werewolf's signature golden yellow, had an emerald green shine to them and were framed by a pair of horn-rimmed glasses. Normally he wore a suit and tie as part of his job at Memorial Bank, but since today was his day off he wore what he usually wore around the mansion, a pair of jeans... that's it.
He walked back up the stairs his bare feet slapping on the cold marble, making his way to the bathroom so he could find something for his migraine. He first had to go through the shared bedroom so he began to walk on his toes making as little sound as possible. Jed and five other wolves were sprawled out on the absurdly large bedding. When Booker entered he couldn't help but look at them affectionately after all they were all a part of his family. Jed was the only one of them awake though only barely. The large gray-wolf was kept from getting up by Seth and Sam, twin werewolves who were a part of Jed's pack a year ago. They both had chestnut brown fur over a thick frame and both had the older wolf in a tight bear hug.
"Psst, Booker! can you help me out?" Jed's voice was just barely audible so the other wolves could continue to enjoy their nap. "Maybe. I got to get something for my head though. I'll be back." As he headed into the master bathroom he could hear his head beta whimper as he tried to pry himself from the twins' grasp. The master bathroom, unlike the rest of the house, had a mosaic tile floor with ceramic walls. He made his way to the cabinet and opened the top drawer, reaching for the pill bottle labeled acetaminophen. Taking out the recommended two pills, he swallowed them and chased them down with water. Chronic migraines had been a problem that Booker had to deal with since he was a kid, a trait he wished he never inherited from his late parents and one he hoped would not get in the way in the future.
He walked back into the room and found Jed wedging his hand under Seth's arm trying to loosen the grip on him. Getting an idea, Booker removed his pants and shifted into his wolf form, getting a stiffy from the euphoric reaction of the transformation. The timber-wolf made his way to the Head-Beta and twins, with the mattress compressing under his weight. "Uh, Alpha? What are you?" His confusion was lost when Booker crawled on top of the wolf pinning his arms back to his sides. The twins stirred, noticing their alpha joined them. "Alpha?" Seth said his eyes still heavy with sleep. You two go back to sleep, I just wanted to spend some time with you guys. "Heh, okay." Sam chimed in groggily as the chubby wolf snuggled closer to the Head-Beta and Alpha. "Come on you guys! Let me up, please!" Jed pleaded, now having to try to pry his way out of three separate bear hugs. "Boys don't listen to him, just keep doing what you are doing." The twins nodded and continued to cuddle up to the two superior wolves as they fell back asleep. "Well there goes my chance of getting a snack." Jed said with regret in his voice. "Oh hush. I'll get you something later big guy." Booker licked the underside of the wolf's muzzle and received one in turn. Looking into his beta's eyes, Booker smiled. "I love you guys." Jed nodded. "I love you too Booker."
He watched as his alpha nodded off, his breathing becoming more regular and calm as Booker fell asleep. Jed watched Booker as the younger timber wolf fell asleep, no longer trying to escape. Jed loved his pack mates but he loved his Alpha more than anybody else in the pack. He loved Booker with a passion and that was part of his reason for submitting to him a year ago. In truth, he had a crush on Booker while Alpha Stonewall was still alive, the other pack's alpha caught his eye and he wanted more than anything to meet him. Unfortunately before he made up the courage to deflect to Booker's pack, Stonewall was murdered on his way back home and Jed being the Head-Beta was promoted to Head-Alpha inheriting the title and his pack. He hated it, but he lacked the courage to admit he didn't want the title or responsibility so when Booker challenged him he found his way out. He fought to lose, making sure to make the fight believable by tearing a few gashes in Booker but not enough to injure him, luckily Booker was an experienced fighter that put Jed's students to shame so the fight was short-lived. Now he was Head-Beta again though instead of a crush, he was completely in love with his alpha though he had a tough time showing it. Pulling his arm out of Booker's grip, he scratched behind the timber wolf's ears. "Gods, I love you." Jed laid his head back a drifted off to sleep.
"So what's the deal with Maiya?" Joseph shrugged in response to his alpha's question. "Apparently she can't stand Booker. Maybe she hates rich people or something? Who knows? Either way she wants to be Head Alpha, so that's most likely the reason." Keith leaned across the counter, sighing. He stared at his Beta, Joseph was wearing an apron with the store's logo emblazoned across the front: "Morgan and Sons' Book Cafe". Joseph had been given a job in the cafe as the barista and was currently getting two lattes together for two customers sitting next to the window. "Say, have you been in any other packs before me?" Keith asked his beta, the blonde bull of a man nearly jumped at the question. "Keith! We have customers, what if they hear us?!" Looking over, Keith saw that the two were completely entranced in what ever books they were reading. "I highly doubt they are paying enough attention so come on, tell me!" Joseph sighed and took the drinks over to the customers so they wouldn't get suspicious and walk into the middle of their conversation. Returning, Joseph crossed his arms and began to speak.
"Like you, I wasn't born a werewolf, I was made into one. It was my junior year in high school..." Joseph relayed his story to his alpha, Keith soaking in every detail. "I was a daredevil back then, and I would get away with the most insane antics! It was in the beginning of wrestling season so... January about four years ago. I decided to do something reckless and I'm sure you know what I'm insinuating. I decided I would sneak into the men's athletic locker room while the wrestlers were practicing." Keith laughed, the thought of his beta doing something so ridiculous was exactly that. Then again this is the same guy who thought he would change his crush into a werewolf BEFORE asking him out on a date so maybe not... "Please don't laugh, you asked to hear my story you know..." Keith nodded and let his beta continued.
"So I made my way into the locker room, which was in a hall connecting to the gym rather than inside it, so no one saw me enter. Inside,I found my prize, spare clothes and underwear belonging to the hottest guys in the school, Keith stop laughing I have a kink for this sort of stuff. Of course they were locked away in their lockers but luckily some of them were locked with padlocks that required keys and those are the easiest to unlock. Don't ask how I know how to pick locks, that's a story for another day. I made my way from locker to locker taking bits and bobs of clothing that those jocks wouldn't have missed until it was too late. A sweaty jock, compression shorts, t-shirts and tanktops, all things I would have took that day if he wasn't there. I heard the door connecting the hall to the gym open, practice was over and around 20 jocks of various strengths would be coming into the locker room. Panicking I closed the locker I was at quietly replacing the lock, not leaving a trace I was there. I fled into the supply closet in the corner of the room that the janitors used to keep cleaning materials and I hid behind the cleaning cart in the off chance one of them decided to look in there. I could hear voices, the wrestlers had entered the locker room outside. Lockers opened and closed, a few showers turned on, some wrestlers decided to have a conversation while they changed. It was about half and hour before the noise quieted down, I was about to get up before I heard the supply closet door open. I stopped, my heart was pounding and I held my breath as I heard him speak. "I know you're in here." I'm pretty sure all the blood in my body rushed to my head, I started sweating, becoming dizzy as well. "Come out, I made sure the others left so we wouldn't have an issue. I won't bite, I just want my stuff back." Maybe he was bluffing, I just stayed in my hiding spot hoping that was the case. "I'm not leaving until you come out and before you decide to pretend you're not here, I can smell you so make it easy for the both of us." He could smell me? I hadn't taken a shower the day before but I was sure that a locker room that smelled of sweat would have been more powerful than that. I got up, exposing myself to my captor. His name was Dylan Mumford and he was the captain of the wrestling team. He was a mid-weight wrestler and if he had the glasses, he would have looked like a stereotypical hipster. He was still in his singlet, which was black with white accents and they showed of his perfectly sculpted abs, pecs, and thighs as though he wasn't wearing anything. Yes Keith, I'm fawning over him and I think you know where this is going, let me finish! Anyways~ He was hot so I nearly missed what he said next, something like, "You took some of my underwear, and I would like it back..." something along those lines. After digging through my loot, I handed him his clothes but he stopped me. "I don't know how you got into our lockers, but you are going to put them back, understand?" Embarrassed from being caught I put the clothes back in each locker I took them out of and I turned to leave the locker room, but I should have guessed he wouldn't let me leave THAT easily. Dylan was blocking the door and the straps of his singlet were dangling at his sides while his torso was completely exposed, showing off his muscles and body hair. "Now where do you think you are going? You think I'm just going to let you leave after the stunt you pulled and not tell the rest of my team out of the kindness of my heart? No, I want something out of this and if you want to leave with out the others knowing YOU broke in and stole their clothes, you are going to do something for me." I swallowed, not liking where this was going, but what ever he had in mind was better than getting killed by 20+ wrestlers. He walked over to me and commanded that I take off my clothes, so I stripped down and he tossed my clothes in the trash. I began to protest, but he silenced me. "Trust me, you won't need them after I'm done with you... Okay that came out wrong... I'm not making you into a sex slave if that's what you're thinking just trust me okay? It'll make sense afterwards."
At that point he began to change, yes Keith, Dylan's a werewolf and also my former alpha. He stood in front of me as an 8 foot wolf made of muscle and brown fur. His singlet was straining to rip apart, but he removed it in the nick of time, exposing his canine manhood. I was pretty sure I screamed, but no one was anywhere near enough to hear me. "Yes, I'm a werewolf, and now if you want to leave here alive you are going to let me change you into one of us understand?" I had no choice, I nodded but deep down I was kind of excited. The captain of the wrestling team was not only a werewolf, but he was also completely naked. Dylan grabbed me by the shoulders to keep me still as he bit down on my right... no left. Left shoulder and I think it took another twenty minutes for the venom to course through me. YES Keith, werewolves are venomous, some kind of coating on our enamel or something like that. It's non-lethal and only affects humans, changes their DNA. Anyways, my muscles began growing and toning themselves like crazy just like you before my more canine transformation happened. You know how it went, endorphins masking the pain of your bones shifting, growing, et cetera, growing a tail, being covered in fur in the same color as your hair or at least some natural pattern close to it. Yeah, Alpha Booker has red hair but have you seen an orange wolf before? No he's more like a timber wolf. What?! I see him on full moons since we all get together at that time, I've never been any more acquainted to him than that I swear! Any way there I was, covered in silvery blonde fur and completely in the buff, and Dylan was taking his time to take in every inch of me. "Not bad kid, say what's your name?" I told him, secretly taking pleasure in his appearance too or at least I thought I was. "So Joseph, you like what you see?" Dylan said, making a gesture indicating what he meant. My dick decided to poke out of my sheath while I was ogling him and was completely out of it by the time I noticed it. I tried to cover my crotch but Dylan grabbed my arms and shoved me into the lockers behind me. "Say pup, do you want to do it? You're part of my pack now so you might as well get to know your alpha a little better!"
I remember locking lips with him, and him pounding me against the lockers before he had the thought to take our little romp to the showers, after all it would have been a pain to clean wolf cum off the team's lockers and hard to explain if some of it got inside them. After we had our fun he gave me some of his spare clothes since I out grew mine and called some of his team mates. I remember saying he was a liar for going against our agreement, but he reassured me that he was only calling those that were already in on the secret and in his pack and he told the truth. He took me over to meet them all over at his house and I was surprised to find out his parents were also wolves and had a separate pack of their own. He trained me to be as strong as I am today and I joined the wrestling team the next year, winning in almost every match and easily gaining a scholar ship. Yeah I'm on the varsity team, I guess I forgot to tell you huh. Yeah I still have my singlet and yes you will get to see me in it later!
Of course after I graduated, Dylan got our pack together and delivered the bad news. He was moving to California and wasn't coming back, apparently he scored a job there. Sadly not to many of us had the money to go with him so we all sort of broke apart when he left. I went on my own after that and got into our college but being alone was heart breaking. I couldn't stand it and I wanted to join a pack but the only one on campus was Tsukimori's. Yeah Maiya goes to the same college we do, she's always in the library playing all sorts of tabletop games with her betas, haven't you seen her there? Anyways, I'm a jock and they're geeks! Her betas were always giving me the evil eye because of it, except Deondrey, Drey's cool. I never really approached them because of that. So I was still a lone wolf and I grew a crush on a certain half-native guy in my physics class, and you know the rest of that story."
Keith didn't know what to say. He never would have abandoned Joseph like that let alone an entire pack! Keith reached over the counter and pulled Joseph in for a kiss, the blonde bull was caught off guard and nearly fell on top Keith. Across the store, the two customers actually looked up from their books, letting out an aw from the adorable display before following the two employees' example and leaned in for their own kiss. Pulling out from the kiss, Keith stroked the side of his Betas face. "Joseph, I promise I will never abandon you like Dylan did, okay?" Joseph nodded, his eyes beginning to well up from telling Keith about his former alpha. "Okay, thank you Alpha." Joseph wiped his eyes before leaning in, giving Keith another kiss. The customers had left, leaving the two werewolves in peace as they held each other in their arms.
