Through The Horizon: Hope
#23 of Through the Horizon
A big thanks to Dasher Cheetah, without his help I couldn't have gotten back writing again. This is the first of several chapters he and I have planned out, so expect more sometime soon. This story picks up where the last one left off with a notable change. Also, more surprise gay buttsex. ENJOY
Through The Horizon: Hope
Bane stood in his office, yet it wasn't quite his office. The enemy was now three hours away and the base was staffed to the brim. Ron had placed one of his rings at the base upon first finding it, therefore getting supplies and troops there was simple. That was one element of surprise he was counting on. He paced back and forth as he checked his watch. It was high time for a status update and his team was late. He didn't mind, considering the circumstances. It simply made him nervous.
He smiled as the door opened and Dasher walked into the room. He walked up and hugged his cheetah friend as the door sealed behind him. Bane looked behind Dasher and then back at the cheetah slightly confused. Dasher chuckled and molded his body closer to the wolf before saying, "Bane I'm going to give you the briefing since Seamus and Ron are busy getting everything in place. I know nothing of technology and as such I find myself in the way. This is my way of being useful." Bane nodded as he made an effort to ignore what his body was feeling, motioning for his friend to join him on a sofa. "Alright Dash, how hopeless is this?" Dasher sighed slightly as he consulted his data pad. He said, "Bane it's not hopeless, we have a lot going in our favor. Seamus is in the process of setting up a shield for the planet with its own power supply. I'm told it should be capable of holding them back for some time. Ron has gotten the main guns online and increased their firepower by fifty percent. He did remind me to tell you that he had no idea if it would even get through the enemy shields though. There is one other thing, something I've noticed. The surface of this world is burned to a crisp. No life at all ever grew back after their last attack, yet this base looks in one piece. Bane nodded and said, "So you think that it's possible that the base is deep enough that their weapons can't really get to it? The cheetah nodded agreement as he added, "The thought has crossed my mind. I've run a full scan on the entire base. There are obvious signs of a fight but nothing I would call catastrophic. Had they not ran out of supplies, they may very well still be here fighting?"
Bane nodded with a worried look on his face. Dasher sighed and asked, "Alright, what aren't you saying?" Bane looked up at his friend before answering, "Dasher, we have had reports from several worlds that the enemy has changed their approach. They are sending in ground troops in rare cases. The problem is there has only been a very few survivors and those people were so injured mentally. Their stories are not completely reliable but at the same time cannot be dismissed. The force field will prevent any transport into the base so they will have to either take it down or invade through the front door. Dasher, I want you to organize some soldiers at key area's throughout the base. I want internal defenses set up at every access point. It might not stop them but I want us to be able to slow them down for a withdrawal." Dasher nodded acknowledgement of his orders and asked, "Alright but assume we withdraw... then what?" "Well,", began Bane, "We set the defenses to automatic and set the timer on the omega bomb that I have ordered placed at the very bottom level of the base. If necessary, I will burn this world and everything on it rather than let them use it for their purposes."
Dasher looked at Bane with a blank stare, weighing if he should speak up or not. Bane had of course used an omega bomb on earth but at that time there had been no other way. This however, was a different story altogether. Dasher decided he had to know, so he began, "Bane, I am your friend and your ally. I feel I do need to point out the political fallout over destroying one of your own planets. Even one that is bare will send shock waves through the empire. People will wonder where it will all end." Bane chuckled darkly and stated, "Dasher, if I have to shake the devils hand to rid the galaxy of this threat, then so be it. My so called allies, have abandoned me. Black is too afraid of losing what little political leverage he has and Talon is too busy holding onto his position. From the very start, I have led the way to the wolves' defeat and now I am forced to lead the defeat of the scavenger menace. So I ask you, which is worse? To lose this planet or to lose the entire empire?" Dasher nodded and eyed Bane. His posture told the cheetah that Bane was highly agitated. This situation was enough to annoy any fur but this was different. Bane was almost to the point of being angry. That would not do because it would distract the wolf from thinking at his best and his best was going to be needed. Dasher decided Bane needed to blow off some aggression and nervous energy, as well as relax. Looking at the time, he decided he had enough and acted. Dasher said, "Bane, I was not trying to tell you what to do or how to do what you do." It seemed he blinked with his whole body, so fast that Bane wasn't sure he saw anything or not.
Further thought was cut off as he felt his tail get pulled and his right ass cheek get slapped! Bane jumped and gave an undignified yelp, coming down, rubbing the offended area. Bane narrowed his eyes and stared at the seemingly innocent cheetah. Bane wasn't slow and he gave a growl as he hackled and accused, "You... You dare?"
Dasher stood and stared back a moment before cracking a smile and laughing out, "Damn right I dare! Neither Ron nor Seamus would, so that leaves me. We both know I can wipe the walls with you, anytime I chose to... but I don't. I think it is time that you prove your dominance to me again, wolf boy." Dasher threw in an arrogant grin for good measure and waited to see what Bane would do.
Bane looked shocked that Dasher would say such a thing to him. He growled and lunged, only to grasp empty air and the taunting laugh of the cheetah. Bane growled out, "Stop cheating! Without your magic, you wouldn't dare to do this. I order you to stand still!"
Dasher stopped across the table from Bane and laughed, "Uh-uh! You want me, you gotta catch me first!" The grin promised that wouldn't be easy. Bane narrowed his eyes and began to think. This was Dasher, his friend. What else could he be playing at, besides provoking him? Bane smiled confidently and stood up. He walked slowly around the table and stopped a few feet away. He was relaxed as he had no intention of trying to pounce the agile cat.
Bane stood there and began unbuckling his belt, followed by his pants, to the cheetah's obvious enjoyment. Dasher watched as Bane stepped out of his pants, shoes and underwear. He idly scratched thru the fur of his sheath and balls, throwing his friend a slow grin and said, "Bend over the table and raise your tail. You need to be put in your proper place... beneath me."
Dasher laughed and began stripping as he said, "I thought I was going to have to spell it out or spend a few minutes dodging you first, before you figured it out. Yes Bane that is one order I will gladly obey." As Dasher laid on the table and lifted his long tail high, he told Bane, "You have to release some of this pressure and tension, my friend. Neither Ron nor Seamus can do that for you, as well as I can. Show me why you are alpha. Teach me..."
Bane would think later on how perfectly he had been maneuvered but just then, his sights and thoughts were off the Scavengers and on a certain spotty rump. No longer angry, Bane still intended to give the cheetah all he had asked for. Moving up, he looked over the display of sexy feline and grew harder as he dripped pre-cum. Bane reached forward and grasped the nape of Dasher's neck firmly in one hand while the other grabbed his tail and held it firmly up, out of the way. Unnecessary as it was willingly held up but if Dasher wanted to be shown who was in control here, Bane would not deny him his wish.
Leaning forward over the spotted back, Bane felt for his target as he said in a low tone, "You might be sorry you challenged me, Demon Cat." Finding the puckered ring, he shoved forward, burying his cock inside and hardly pausing. He began a ball bruising ride, enjoying demonstrating his power more than he would have thought he would.
Dasher kept his face down submissively and hiding his grin. His plan had worked perfectly and he was going to enjoy the fruits of his effort. He could feel Bane's knot beginning to swell and Bane was trying to hold it back but that wouldn't do. Dasher pushed back hard as Bane drove in and he clenched down with his tail hole, trapping the wolf inside. Bane tried to pull back, protesting that they didn't have the time for this but Dasher kept hold and looked back with a grin as he said, "Then you better get busy, big boy. We both know you aren't going anywhere, before this goes down and the fastest way for that to happen is for you to empty those big balls into me. Give it to me Bane and don't hold back. We both need this and I'm not letting go until I'm sure you are satisfied."
Bane had to laugh. Dasher had him once again and it was questionable who was at whose mercy. Letting go of Dasher's nape and tail, Bane settled down onto his friend and hugged him. There was no intent to hurt now, only provide them both with pleasure and Bane firmly but lovingly screwed the crazy feline's ass.
It was good and after a moan, Bane gave the first load of cum up to the cheetah. Panting, the warm feeling of being cared for came over Bane and he licked Dasher's ear as he said, "You took a big risk, challenging me like that... crazy cat. I really thought you had lost your mind there." Bane chuckled as he began thrusting again, working towards his next orgasm. Dasher laughed and said, "My sanity has always been in question but I don't think I was in danger. If you had gone ballistic, all I would have to do is this!" Dasher's eye got big and he looked like a scared kitten for a moment before laughing. The look gave Bane pause and he joined in the laughter, agreeing that that pitiful look would have made him stop for long enough to re-think things.
Bane hugged his friend and said, "Yes, that would have worked, damn it. How the hell do you do that? More magic?" Dasher laughed and said, "No, no magic needed. I learned that while I was a slave, as a cub. Survival instinct that kept me from being hurt some of the time. Didn't always work as not all my owners had anything resembling sympathy in them but one does what one has to, in order to survive. With you, I am sure it would work tho. You don't have the cruelty within you that they did."
Bane laughed but felt sorry too. Not all childhoods were what they should be, full of love and care. Dashers had been one such and despite it, he had grown into one exceptional adult. Bane was quite sure he wouldn't be where he was now, without the cheetah's help. Thought was interrupted as Bane unloaded another round into the hot ass below him and he held himself deep to pump it all into the willing cat. Done, Bane held his friend and wished he could purr to show how good he felt. But that was not one of his talents so he licked the short muzzle and said, "Thank you Dasher. For this and for being my friend. Yes, you admittedly could, as you said, wipe the walls with me, if you chose to but instead you choose to sacrifice your pride for others, myself included."
It was at that moment that Bane was struck by an idea. The look on his face made Dasher ask, "Bane? Are you alright, dear?" The feral grin in return made Dasher shiver a little. Not in fear for himself but for whatever devious thoughts were going on in the wolf's head.
The wolf nodded and sighed, "Dasher, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you, its just extremely disappointing that we have risked all that we have for the various groups in this galaxy and none are willing to step up now. Once again I alone am being expected to rush in and solve the galaxy's problems. Dasher I won't be around forever and I cannot keep doing this. I have been lucky thus far but that cannot continue. At some point I will reach a battle that I can't fight my way out of. I fear that day will come sooner than later." Dasher nodded and said, "Bane my advice is this. Do only what you can and no more. You are looking at this on too big of a scale. You are looking at saving everybody. The reality is people will die, there's nothing you can do to stop that. Instead, fight for something small. Take me for example, I don't fight to save everybody I fight to save my friends. I want you to have a safe galaxy to live in. As a result I must help you stop this threat. That way I'm doing what's expected of me but I am not allowing myself to shoulder the responsibility of an entire galaxy. That's too much for any one fur to handle Bane, even you."
The wolf smiled at his friend. Dasher was right of course there was no denying it. The entire time Bane had been fighting, he fought for everybody. It had driven him past the point of sanity on more than one occasion. He made an effort to protect every single life in the galaxy and that was simply too big a job for anybody. Even whatever gods might exist, didn't try to do that. Instead he had to look at the smaller more manageable goals. He smiled and hugged Dasher tight and said, "Dash I am so grateful that you are here with me. I hate to ask you to fight once more but I need you to guard my back, while I take this on head first. You have given me an idea... a wonderfully, awful idea and if it works, we might just end this conflict for once and all! I am going to surrender Seamus, Ron, you and myself to the scavengers, in return for their promise to leave the Empire alone." Dasher's look of shock and surprise might have been funny, if it weren't that Bane was being serious.
