Open Content Story: Invasion of the Body
Commissioned by BrassOtter some time back, we have this little story of a parasite taking over a person's body from the inside...and a very interesting method of being absorbed into a body.

Invasion of the Body for BrassOtter by Draconicon
"You know, for a ship with this many bodies, there's not much loot."
The otter shook his head as he walked down the narrow corridors that joined the many labs of the science section together, letting out a few tsk-ing sighs as he checked each room before moving on. Usually, if a ship was found dead in space like this, with everyone already gone, it meant that something had gone wrong on the ship. Which meant that there should be more loot, since there were no pirates to have carried it off, and the ship was still in one piece.
Yet, despite his best efforts, finding any of that was next to impossible. Sure, there was the metal the ship was made of, but it wasn't like he could get much for scrap like that. The lab machines weren't much better, really; the ship was government issue, and Carmen felt it was pretty likely that the serial numbers of the machines were logged somewhere. No, they wouldn't be of any use, either.
He paused at one of the labs, spotting one of the power-lights still on. Intrigued, he stepped inside and walked over to the machine. Of course, in his curiosity, his helmet bumped off of the doorframe, and the otter nearly fell on his ass as a result.
"This suit...Next paycheck, I'm getting one that's not so bulky."
Of course, that depended entirely on how big his 'paycheck' was, and he doubted that he was going to get much unless this machine panned out. As he ducked down and walked in, he immediately noticed that it was a cryo-unit. Promising, very promising.
Wishing that there were some logs to tell him what he was getting into, Carmen rubbed at the viewing port at the front of the machine. It dislodged just enough frost for him to be able to look inside, and he blinked. Whatever he'd expected, broken eggs and bits of frozen slime wasn't it.
"Hmm...not as good as I'd like, but still something more than basic scrap...let's see..."
It didn't take very long for him to get it open, and the door popped off with ease once the lock was undone. He reached inside, pushing at the eggs a little bit. The shells were brittle, too brittle for him to be able to take out without breaking them down. The slime was frozen, and his suit didn't really have enough air in it for him to wait for it to thaw. Not so promising, after all.
Sighing, the otter turned his head -
Scritch scritch.
- and froze at the strange sound. His eyes darted about, trying to find the source of it, but it was too quiet for him to be sure. Was it behind him? In the hallway? Or -
Scritch.
Something bumped his glove, and before he could pull his arm free, a wriggling, worm-like thing slithered up his arm, wrapping in coils around it as he jumped back. Carmen shook his arm up and down to try and dislodge it, but the creature's mouth slammed down on his shoulder, biting into the suit. He could even feel the teeth all the way down through it at his skin, the edges just sharp enough to make him freeze in place.
"Oh shit...oh shit...oh shit shit shit...."
He slowly stepped back, his arm forced outstretched by the sheer strength of the strange creature. It was impossibly strong, able to keep him from even bending his arm as he moved. Carmen flailed around behind him with his free hand, trying to reach for something, anything that would be useful in getting the creature off of him.
There was nothing, and all he could do was keep backing up. He thought of the decontamination back on the airlock; if he could just get there, then this thing -
"ACK!"
The otter shouted as the creature wriggled further up, its teeth breaking through the suit and pushing in. He could feel it worming its way up his suit, and he broke out in a run as the slimy length slithered up his arm.
Gotta get to the airlock, gotta get to the airlock!
It was getting higher and higher in his suit, but the auto-shutoff in the helmet didn't activate. Carmen could feel the slippery length moving up his neck wrapping around it, and he whimpered as he ran faster and faster, his boots pounding at the deck in desperation as he tried to get to safety.
Suddenly, there it was, inside his helmet. Gray-blue in color and dripping with slime, it loomed in front of his face like a snake before darting right at his left eye. He screamed, falling back against the wall as he futilely tried to grab it through his helmet.
It was disgusting yet, surprisingly, not painful. It was narrow enough to slide between his eyeball and the eye socket, slipping inside of his head. Carmen screamed anyway, struggling to reach for it, even with the glass in the way. All he could do was try. All he could do was scream as it slithered further and further inside.
It felt like his head was swelling with each passing second, and the horrible thing was...he could still see it. Though his left eye was pushed out of the way, his right could see the flailing, wriggling length of the creature as it slithered deeper and deeper in. He wanted to puke; only his continued screaming kept his stomach from emptying its contents all over his helmet.
De-con...gotta get to...de-con...
The thought was the only thing that got him moving, even as he felt like his skull was swelling to the point of pain from the creature's presence. As he hobbled along, the creature finally slipped in, and his eye popped back down. The feeling made his already roiling stomach feel worse, and he had to pause, swallowing rapidly to keep from puking and losing his momentum.
He took one more step, and then froze. His legs simply would not move. It was like his body had been locked up, like he was using one of those powered exo-skeletons that some of the cargo-men used. All he could do was stand there, staring straight ahead -
Hsssssssssssss.
The deep, powerful hiss was something that made his skull rattle, and he groaned. He tried - and failed - to close his eyes as his hands started moving on their own, reaching up to his head and slowly pulling at the helmet. Carmen tried to hold his breath, but again his body betrayed him; nothing was under his control anymore, not even his ability to breathe. He supposed he should be lucky that the creature was keeping him breathing, but it was a scant bit of comfort.
Soon, the helmet came off, and his hands dropped it on the ground before reaching up to the other restraints. Carmen gagged as he tried to shout, unable to do anything. He was a prisoner in his own body.
His fingers undid the restraints on his suit, gradually taking it apart until the thick, baggy material lay in a pile over some of the bodies. The otter could tell, when he had a chance to look at them, that their eye sockets looked stretched, as if something had tried to slide in. Now he understood.
Was it going to kill him? If it was, it was taking a very strange route to doing it, he thought as it started taking his jumpsuit off as well. The otter's heart was racing a mile a minute as his hands pulled the zipper in the back down, and then pulled his arms free of the sleeves. His body wiggled without his control out of the jumpsuit, finally leaving him completely exposed.
He shivered, one of the few things that the creature couldn't stop him from doing, as he stood there in the still, cool air. It was always cool in a dead ship like this; even with life support still online, the dead engines meant that most of the heat had been shunted away, leaving the rest of the ship near freezing. He could see his breath puffing up in front of his face, but only for a second.
The creature forced him to look down, and as he was made to look at his own sheath, Carmen felt something else. As if his mind and the creature's were connected, he felt a deep urge of hunger, to feed. He doubted that the creature would be feeding off of his own nutrients, though, so what was -
"Oh..."
It was his voice, but not his choice to speak as his hands moved down to his sheath, grabbing it, squeezing it, teasing it. He groaned, trying to clench his jaws even as he was forced to lean down even closer to his crotch. His body's own flexibility kept him from getting any closer than six inches to it, but it was still closer than he'd spent any time looking at it before. And as his hands expertly manipulated him, he could see himself getting harder, and even starting to leak pre.
Hungry...
There it was again, and he groaned as his hands gripped his shaft from both sides, getting a double handed grip before roughly jerking him off. The otter's breath started coming faster and faster for a whole different reason, and he would have collapsed if it hadn't been for the fact that he was being supported by legs of steel. The creature was growling in his head, making his entire skull vibrate as the creature somehow seemed to...feed on his excitement.
Some kind of chemical reaction? It was the only thing that made sense to his addled mind. Then again, he wasn't sure if he was even thinking clearly anymore. He didn't know what the creature was doing in his mind, nor what it might be doing to maintain its control. It could be zapping him, squeezing him, and he would never -
"Mmmph!"
The creature pulled his hands back all of a sudden, keeping him from blowing his load. The otter groaned, shaking his head, particularly as his cock throbbed heavily. Carmen gasped, realizing that the action was his own.
He quickly experimented. He could move his head from side to side, but the otter couldn't move anything below his neck. Apparently, the creature maintained control there...but why had he gotten control of this part of his body back?
"H...hello?"
Carmen didn't know what he expected; he thought maybe the creature might respond in his head, or perhaps there'd be some system of the ship that was still online. What happened was that he heard the computer running his own vessel speak, the artificial voice echoing down the hall towards him.
"Yes, Captain Carmen?"
"Ship, I - oooh..."
The hands were back, stroking him again, building up his excitement once more. It left him groaning, gritting his teeth in frustration.
"Ship...send message...to Galactic Authority. Call...medical...mmmph!"
And with that, his mouth was sealed shut again, leaving him slumping back against the wall as his excitement built up again to the point of being unable to talk. He just hoped that the ship would do what he'd commanded.
The End
