#5 of Sheath x Felix PON Pt 1

Insanity hides in the depths of the mind...

Welcome to Ch 4 of SxF PON

They are still at the hospital right now, but things are about to get interesting...

"What?" Felix murmurs as I stare at him.

I growl playfully, "You know what."

Felix looks at me and laughs, "Oh shut up Sheathy boy." he says, "You should be glad I helped. I remember how terrible a liar you are."

I glare at him, falsely indignant, "What a wonderful thing to remember about me."

"Oh come on!" he yelps, "I was having a lil fun!"

"At my expense," I mutter, "I don't want to be a whore, remember?"

He pokes me gently on my side, "I'll soon change your mind about that." He says with a smirk.

"Oh no, I am not about to become your sex slave." I reply.

"Who said you were going to be my slave?" he murmurs.

"You know I'm not going to voluntarily let you subject me to your sluttish means of sensual fulfillment." I say.

"Oh really," he purrs coming over to my bedside and reaching between my legs and caressing the spot he had alluded to, "You sure about that cutie?"

"Felix, stop-" I mutter, trying to push his arm away.

"Oh no, you know you like it." He chides, tickling me there.

I moan softly as he teases me, letting go of his arm and lying back on the sheets. I am more than a little dismayed when he stops.

He laughs, "I can already see the hunger in your eyes."

I growl, "Shut up, it's your fault I'm becoming a slut!"

"You can't blame me for that!" he yelps, "It's not my fault you like me."

I growl at him again, folding my arms with a wince, "Who said I like you?"

He growls back at me, smiling wide, "Don't lie to me, I know the truth. You love me."

When he says the words my body is overcome by chills. He speaks them so easily, as though he had never been conflicted about his feelings, as though we have been together and he had confessed his love on a day long ago. I force myself not to be overcome by feeling. Better for him to be open now than to continue struggling after all this time.

I shake my head, falsely discrediting his words as mockery, "You're a bitch ass Felix."

"I love it when you're mad." He quavers dramatically.

I growl again, turning my head. "When I'm out of this bed you won't. Not ever again."

Felix laughs, "I'm pretty sure I'll find a way to enjoy my punishment." He rumbles seductively.

I growl when he winks at me, opening my mouth to make a brash comment, but just as the words reach my lips a cheerleader bursts in to the room, her eyes wild.

Felix turns to her with a growl. "What the fuck do you want?"

She looks at him and flattens her ears. "I'm looking for the nurse you dimwit."

"She just left girl." Felix snaps crouching over me defensively, his fur bristling.

"Girl?" the cheerleader replies with irritation, "I'm no girl."

"Waddya mean not a girl?" he mutters, confusion clouding his gaze as he looks the cheerleader up and down.

I smile at the cheerleader as the alleged non-she flips his hair out of his face, "So me and Felix aren't alone here in Animi are we?" I muse.

"You could say that." He replies, eying Felix with irritation.

I laugh heartily, swiftly regretting it as my back explodes with intense pain.

Felix then wakes up from his trance, "So let me get this straight, you're a dude?"

The cheerleader nods.

Felix shakes his head rubbing his temples, "I am so fucking confused."

The cheerleader laughs, "Your boy must be new to this stuff."

I nod, patting Felix's back and inviting him to sit on the bed.

He sits, and bows his head between his knees, muttering to himself.

Poor kitty, I thought, knowing his mind is probably in chaos by now.

I look up at the cheerleader, presenting a hand, "Sheath."

He takes my hand and shakes it gently, "Basco, Basco Bear."

"That's a... name." I reply with a forced smile.

He giggles, blushing, "My parents work for the Chrystalian Cirque. It's my troupe name."

I nod thoughtfully, "I thought it had a Cirque ring to it. You must be quite famous for your, uh... talents."

I look the bear up and down. He is definitely convincing, had he not told us about his being a guy I would never have known. He has curves in all the right places, and his facial structure is perfectly feminine. Honestly, I feel it would be harder for him to present himself as his actual gender than it would be for him to pass as a girl.

Basco giggles, releasing my hand and doing a little spin, "I'm a legend in the north. My parents are very proud of me."

"I can only imagine." I reply.

It is terrifying how convincing he is. Even his voice! It is not necessarily high pitched, but it is not deep either, and his vocalizations have a natural feminine lithe that is truly chilling to perceive.

Basco tilts his head, pursing his lips in concern. "You look shaken." He says.

I smile at him tensely, shrugging my shoulders, "I must admit that I am." I say, "Even after having been acquainted to such, transformations, yours is simply... confounding."

He giggles again, doing a little bow, "Why thank you kind sir."

Felix looks up again, turning to Basco, "So you have a penis?" he murmurs.

Basco nods and Felix groans, looking down again, "what the hell," he mutters to himself, "what the hell, what the hell..."

The bear laughs, putting his hands on his voluptuous hips. As he does so, I notice that his right arm is bleeding.

That must be why he is looking for the nurse. I think to myself.

"What happened to you?" I ask tentatively.

I am taken aback as he jumps enthusiastically into his explanation, "Well I was at practice you see. We were working on our performance for regionals, and then this huge piece of glass fell from the building and exploded on the field."

I grimace, knowing all too well what was coming next.

"I got stabbed in the arm by one of the shards and as I fell over I saw two beastly looking wolves land in the middle of the field, SPLAT!" he throws his arms up for effect and wails, clutching his injured arm against his chest. "Then the black one got up and ran away. It was an ugly thing, it almost looked like Alpha Regnant Kelly." He laughs.

"What about the silver one?" I whimper, looking up at him, my body shaking.

"It didn't move, it was dead, broken, smashed. The black one landed on top of it you see."

I look down at my bandages, my eyes clouding.

Basco frowns, "Did I say something wrong?"

A tear slips from the corner of my eye and my chest heaves with a painful sob, what was probably the first of many to come.

"Sheath," Basco murmurs, "what's the matter?"

I look up at him, my eyes red. "Basco." I whimper.

"Yes?" he replies.

"That silver wolf you saw."

"Yeah, the ugly thing?" He mutters with a grimace.

I look up at him, my lip trembling. "It was my brother."

Basco stares at me for a moment, his jaw dropping slowly, "You mean?" he pauses and I stare at him, waiting for it to connect.

"You're related to that ugly thing?!" he yelps.

I nod slowly, stunned by his response.

He scoffs, "I can't see any resemblance."

I blink, feeling as if I have been slapped. "What are you talking about?"

He laughs "What are you talking about what am I talking about!?"

I wince "Do you even realize what I'm trying to say?"

"What?" he says, "I thought you were joking."

I breathe deeply, feeling tears pushing at the corners of my eyes.

"Sheath?"

"I wasn't joking." I sputter, trying to withhold the emotions that were building within me, "he was my brother. He told me he was."

"Well that's no reason to believe him." Basco replies earnestly

I blink, stupidly hurt by his realistic proposition, "Are you saying that I'm supposed to be gullible or something?"

"No" he snaps, "But,"

"NO!" I bark, "You shut up! I know he was my brother! HE WAS!"

Basco whimpers, "Sheath, I don't know, I was just saying."

"SHUT UP!" I roar.

Basco glares at me, "Sheath you need to calm down. You're already in the hospital for one thing. You don't want to add another."

"IM NOT CRAZY!" I screech.

"That's not what I was saying." Basco murmurs gently.

"YES IT WAS!" I rage, baring my fangs.

"Sheath." He says pleadingly.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" I bellow, turning away from him.

"Sheath if you want me to be honest," he intones bitterly, "I am starting to think that you may be a little insane."

I shake my head indignantly. He can't be saying that! It has been so long since those days. I'm better now! I've been better for over a year! How dare he tell me that I am crazy? How dare he say that I am insane?

I scream, arching my back, my body engulfed with a rush of searing pain. "INSANE!?" I garble, clawing furiously at my sheets as surge after surge of mournful rage racks my body, "ME, INSANE!?"

"Sheath," Basco yelps, "Stop! You're going to hurt yourself!"

"You insult my pride." I growl dangerously, "you dare call me insane. You dare..."

"Sheath," Basco intones, "you asked for the truth and I gave it to you."

"I asked for nothing." I hiss, turning to him and frigidly meeting his gaze.

He flinches, "Sheath, you n-need, n-need to-"

"Go away." I mutter through clenched teeth, the fur bristling along my shoulders as I slowly drag my claws through the sheets, tearing them apart.

"Sheath." he murmurs.

"Go." I growl menacingly.

He flinches again, looking away from me, then turning back. "Sh-"

"Get away from me!" I yowl, tearing chunks from the bed and throwing them at him, "LEAVE!"

He backs away a little, his eyes wide, "Sheath, please listen to me."

"NO!" I roar, leaping at him with a guttural howl, only to be jerked backward by the various machines attached to me.

Felix yelps falling off the bed as I leap, looking about the room. Looking at Basco, and then at me. His eyes grow wild as he comes out of his trance.

Basco staggers out of my reach just in time and I land on the floor, scrambling fiercely.

"I will listen to you DIE." I sputter madly, my eyes watering, my mouth filling with foam.

"SHEATH!?" Felix wails, rushing to my side.

I claw weakly at the floor trying to get over to Basco. I want to tear his throat out. How dare he say such things about Zach, about my brother, about ME!?

Felix turns to Basco, "What happened?"

Basco whimpers, creeping towards the door, "I'm so sorry."

Felix growls at him, "What did you do?!" he snaps viciously.

Basco wails racing out of the door and Felix jumps up after him, shouting madly down the hall, "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO!?"

I moan as Felix races back into the room. The bloodlust is fading now and I am lying in a pool of my own blood. My back feels like it's on fire and I groan softly as Felix kneels down and picks me up.

I stare up at Felix, my eyes burning with tears, "Why?" I whimper, "Why did he have to die?"

Felix stares down at me with confusion as he lays me back on the bed.

"Why?" I moan.

Felix shakes his head at me, "What are you talking about?"

"Zach." I whimper, "Zach."

Felix brushes my hair out of my eyes, "Shh, just be quiet. Don't worry about anything."

I feel myself growing dizzy again as he presses the red button on the arm of my bed.

"Just keep breathing, you'll be fine."

I can't imagine how I will be fine. My brother is dead, and now, now, I am about to join him. I can feel the blood draining from my body as Felix continues to stroke my face.

I close my eyes, furious with myself. It had been so long since the darkness within me had shown. I had thought that I was better, that everything would be okay now. I could never have been more wrong...
