I think I know how to tell my parents!
I would want to tell mom, mainly because my dad is denser than lead.So, I would want to tell mom sometime that its just me and mom. I would need more time than her giving me a ride to the school bus stop. Maybe I'll offer to go grocery shopping with her and on the ride there, I'll ask if she knows what a furry is.(1)She will say: yes, no, maybe, or start trying to define what a furry is.If she said yes, I would ask her to define it.(2)She'll say: what I want (someone thats a fan of anthropomorphic characters), say what I don't want (something sexual) or say I don't know.If she said no or maybe in (1), or said I don't know in (2) I'll define a furry as someone who is a fan of anthropomorphic characters.She will ask what a anthropomorphic character is or say nothing.I will define a anthropomorphic character as a animal with human features, like being able to walk on two legs and/or talk. I would than say that It is a pretty interesting fandom and may consider myself part of the fandom and would get back to her on what I decide. (I'll say that I am later)If she started defining a furry (1 or 2) as something sexual than I'll stop there. Or if I thought I could convince her otherwise, I'll say that every fandom has a sexual side... your a fan of zombies and the walking dead... there is a sexual side to that too. Now, how would you feel if everyone thought the zombie fandom was purely sexual?I'll than proceed to define a furry and anthropomorphic characters than say I might consider the furry fandom as a fandom that I'm part of and I'll tell her what I decide (I'll that I a later)So thats my plan! what do you think? think it will work?
