He decided to skip his coffee this morning as he walked down stairs to find Cindy and Kit talking in the front of the store. "Good morning Spec. I'm sorry about yesterday but I promise today will be a lot better."

"Good to hear Kit, I'm looking forward to it."

He made his way to the register as Jen entered the shop. He greeted her as he looked over his order forms. As much as he hated to admit it, the extra help made opening and closing a lot easier. In the back of his mind, he wondered if business would pick up though. He didn't want to tap into his emergency savings or fire people if he could help it.

Business was a bit busier then normal for a Tuesday. A lot of younger men came in to buy small paperback books and magazines. Spec was starting to wonder if Cindy was right about Kit and Jen attracting the attention of new customers.

"What are you thinking about Spec?"

He snapped out of his daze upon hearing Cindy's voice. He stuttered a bit before he could make out a clear sentence.

"Nothing, just zoning I guess. Is it me or are we getting more people then normal for a Tuesday?"

"Don't know but I think you might be right. We have to check the numbers later. That reminds me, Doc called. He said he can start working on the basement this week. We just need to give him a time to swing by. He said it shouldn't be more then a couple of days of work if he worked during the weekend too."

"That sounds like a plan. The sooner we get it finished, the better it will be. A store isn't exactly inviting when there are construction sounds coming from the basement."

She nodded as she noticed what time it was on the register screen.

"How do you want to do lunch today? It might not be a great idea to leave just one person running the shop today."

Spec took a deep breath as he ran his hands over his head while taking a deep breath and exhaling.

"I think you're right. I wonder if Luna is still upstairs. We could send her out for food but don't know if she'd be in the mood."

"She never went home last night?"

"Nope, she decided to stay after wrestling. I think we actually have some leftovers from dinner last night. What do you say, want to make something upstairs so we can stay close incase something happens?"

She nodded and left the register to inform Kit and Jen what was happening with the lunch arrangements. When Jen showed up to cover the register Spec headed up to the apartment with Cindy. They found Luna wearing Spec's robe while watching cartoons on the TV. She turned to face the door upon hearing it open.

"Hi Spec, hi Cindy. What's up?"

He shook his head at Luna while going into the kitchen.

"It's lunch time sis. We decided to eat in today."

Cindy was behind Spec, looking into the fridge at her food options. He had already token out the left over sausage and rice from last nights dinner and put a plate in the microwave. Cindy noticed, sniffing the remaining portion.

"Do you mind if I have the rest Spec?"

"Go ahead Cindy. Luna, you don't want it do you?"

"I'm good but you are out of milk bro. I finished it and your cereal."

He looked to the garbage can and saw the empty milk jug and cereal box. He sighed as he made a note on his shopping list.

Cindy leaned against the kitchen counter watching him as she asked, "So what do you think about Kit so far Spec? She seemed really out of it yesterday but today it's like she's a different fox."

"I noticed that too. She actually started a conversation with me today. I think for now we should give her a chance. I mean she isn't doing bad or anything. I think she can work out."

Cindy nodded as she put her food into the microwave to reheat it. Luna looked on while leaning over the back of the couch.

"Are you two talking about that fox girl that's working for you? She seems nice and has a nice scent about her. She might have some confidence issues but I'm not sure."

"First off sis, how did you get her scent? The last thing I need is for you to harass my employees. Second... Well I don't have a second thing. Just remember other people have this thing called 'personal space'. Unlike me and maybe Cindy, most people aren't as open to your advances. And why are you wearing my robe?"

"Because I didn't feel like wearing underwear and I didn't bring mine."

Cindy coughed from trying to hold in a laugh as she joined the siblings on the couch with her food. She poured herself a glass of water as well that she sat down on the coffee table.

"That reminds me; Luna we need to get together and talk about the party soon. Doc is coming over this week to help fix up the basement."

"Who else is in on this besides you, me and Spec?"

"My cousin Scotty, remember? I have to actually call him up tonight and find out when he can meet up. What about you Luna, do you have a good time to meet up?"

"I'm free almost anytime. I can have the pics I took for Wolf Pack edited in a couple of days. Just need the finally approval from boss before I can say I'm officially done. Regardless, I pretty much set my own hours so I can come and go as I need to."

"I swear Luna, you some how make a hard job sound simple. I know its more then just taking a few pictures of hot people and cropping them."

Luna smiled at him while stretching out, exposing bits of her cleavage as she did.

"What can I say? I know what people like and I have an eye for detail. Sometimes I get editing block but for the most part I can finish a shoot for a months issue in a week. Besides, it's not like I do all the shoots myself. There are other photographers too. But enough about that, what I want to know is does this mean I get to meet the famous Scotty soon?"

Cindy laughed while trying to reply "As soon as we can all find a time to meet, you'll be able to." Luna grinned as she got up to get a drink of water herself.

"I look forward to our meeting then. Just give me a call or text me with the times you want to meet up."

Cindy nods before taking another bite of her food. Spec just sat and watched as the two females conversed with out him. Although he had a cautious feeling, he was still glad that Cindy and Luna got along as well as they did. It was a good sign for him.

The rest of the day went by at a steady pace. Luna had left earlier in the evening before the shop had closed. Before Jen and Kit left Spec had them gather for a quick meeting.

"Okay ladies, you both did a good job today. Tomorrow is going to be a bit more hectic as new books and magazines go on sale. Come in a little early and we'll go over how to handle those. Also get used to a rotating schedule soon. As much as I like having you here I can't have you all doing full time, six days a week. Be safe going home and I'll see you two early tomorrow."

The two of them left heading in opposite directions. Cindy stayed behind, watching Spec as he talked to the girls. He noticed and walked towards her.

"What is it Cindy?"

"You're a great boss, you know that right? I mean, you really know how to handle customers and employees."

"I get that from having to deal with Luna and not strangling her." He replied with a grin as he put away his paper work. She laughed as she came up behind him, giving him a tight hug and a kiss.

"You don't give yourself enough credit. So, do you want some company for dinner tonight?"

He nodded as they both walked upstairs holding hands. Dinner was a quick dish of mixed veggies and sautéed chicken with lemon, herbs and butter over white rice. Instead of watching TV, the couple had a rather silly yet intimate conversation.

"Okay Spec, what is the one fetish you are afraid to tell me about?"

"Do I really have to tell you?"

She nodded after taking a bite of her chicken

"I want to know what turns you on. Besides, if you tell me I might just do it for you."

"What idea was that if you don't mind me asking?"

"It's silly but she was talking about the three of us having a sex pact. Kind of like a wolf pack but not limited to wolves. It's stupid, I know."

"How would that work exactly?"

"Wait, you are actually considering this? I mean, would you be okay with that?"

"I don't know. I mean you are still going to sleep with Luna and I'm still going to sleep with Scotty. We sort of are already in an odd pact."

"I didn't think of it that way."

They both ate a bit in silence before Cindy perked up again.

"That reminds me, Scotty texted me. He said he's free tomorrow night so we can all meet up then. I just have to contact Luna."

"That's fine. Should I make us dinner or are we ordering out again?"

"Let's make something. I'm honestly getting tired of eating out."

He nodded and they continued their dinner and conversation. Cindy left later that night leaving Spec to wonder what he would prepare for the next nights dinner.

Everyone was in the shop early as the new magazines and books were going on sale today. Spec and Cindy showed Jen and Kit how to rotate older magazines and where to store them before sending them back. The morning was slow but picked up at a steady pace as the day continued. Jen and Kit held up pretty well as Cindy and Spec were there to help as well.

Spec wrote out a list of things he needed to make dinner. He figured either he or Cindy would be able to go shopping and pick up lunch at the same time. When lunch time came around he called Cindy to the register.

"What's up Spec?"

"I want to start sending people off to lunch. You want to go first or third?"

"I'll take third. Why such a specific order?"

"I don't know; just have a feeling one of us should stay just in case something hectic happens. I also figure one of us can go shopping for dinner tonight. Do you want me to do it or would you like to go?"

"Do I get an extended lunch if I go?"

He smirked and handed her the list and some money.

"Sure you can. You can also keep any change left. Just pick something up for dessert. Luna and I aren't picky so pick out something you and Scotty will like."

She gladly took the money with a smile. After she left he called Kit over.

"Go ahead and take lunch Kit. After you get back on the clock I'll see if Jen wants lunch or not."

"Okay, I'll be back soon."

Kit headed out as customers continued to come and go with their magazines. Nothing stood out except one odd looking wolf asked about the new hires. Spec didn't feel comfortable talking to him about Kit and Jen. He gave it little thought though as many people had been asking if Jen and Kit were temps or official employees now. He told him they were busy in the back and he left. Kit came back much sooner then expected holding a sandwich out towards Spec.

"The sandwich shop had a mistake in one of their orders. They asked me if I wanted it and figured you might want it."

He lifted his eye brows as he was not picky and enjoyed sandwiches. He thanked her as he took the sandwich, examining the contents. She stood there for a second holding her bag trying to say something. Spec looked up and noticed.

"What's up Kit?"

"Well the thing is Spec I have something I need to talk to you about if you have a minute."

He looked around to see if the store was busy. It wasn't bad as he called Cindy over.

"Would you be a dear and watch the front while I talk to Kit? Also ask Jen if she wants lunch after Kit or later okay?"

She nodded as the fox and wolf made their way to the break room. He placed his sandwich in the fridge for later.

"So what can I do for you Kit?"

"Well, the thing is this. Angie has been really nice and paying for my half of the rent with her saved up tip money but she recently lost her job. I'm working now but I don't want her to burn through all her savings before she finds another job. I was wondering if it would be possible that there is a position for Angie here too?"

Spec rubbed the back of his neck looking down before looking at Kit again.

"Kit, I just hired you and Jen. I mean I would love to help Angie out but..."

He paused seeing the sadness building in her eyes. He looked off with a sigh before shaking his head.

"I'll talk to Cindy about it. But if we do hire Angie it means and Jen will both be getting less hours. If you are okay with that have Angie come in and submit an application and we'll see what happens okay?"

Kit nearly knocked him over as she jumped up to hug him. He was caught off guard by the sudden action as he had to push her off him. She couldn't stop thanking him as he finally held up a finger to hush her.

"I said I'll talk to Cindy okay? I can't make any promises. For now why don't you eat your lunch and come back on the floor. We can talk about this more tomorrow okay?"

Kit nodded as Spec left the break room.

"If Angie starts working here too... I'm not sure I even want to think about it at this point."
