Zero Hour: Hostage Situation
#3 of Zero Hour
What happens when Wolfy deals with a hostage crisis
[REDACTED], AKA WOLFY
I thought that I would be tracking down the hate group from the meth lab, but something else popped up in my schedule.
Shysha Bank and Financial Offices, 1400 hours. The following was captured on the building's security cameras. A notorious gang leader known as Boss Guillermo (Real Name: Guillermo del Mujer) and his gang, Guillermo's Mutts, launched a carefully planned assault. One team concealed their faces and used negative-refractive-index material "invisibility cloaks" to make their weapons invisible to the X-Ray scans at the front door. The other went around back to bust into the offices via the fire exit. Within the span of 10 seconds, the first team, lead by Guillermo, revealed their identities and weapons, then proceeded to open fire on the security guards, and all 15 were dead. At the same time, within the same time frame, the second team kicked down the door by the fire exit on the first floor, fired in three impact-detonated flashbangs, then proceeded to open fire on anyone who tried to stop them. The first team held the tellers and customers of the bank at gunpoint, while the second split up. One half held the people working in the offices at gunpoint, including UTI executive Wesha Hayden, working her "down-time job", as she called it, while the other half started emptying the money from the vault after knocking it down with a high-power seismic explosive. That's when the police were called. None of the 37 police officers called to the scene made it through the hail of gunfire to even reach the front doors of the bank, or the open fire exit. That's when I was called in.
The equipment I was using was 5 flashbangs; dual SIG Pro pistols; dual semi-automatic shotguns, loaded with twelve-gauge flechette ammunition; a combat knife; and 15 miniature grenades. I threw a flashbang in through the fire exit, and knew I had around five seconds before they noticed me and started firing accurately. I immediately ran in, shot five of the gangsters, and took cover inside a cubicle. From there, I looked down both ends of the hallway, before proceeding, with one pistol pointing to my left and one to my right. As I ran through, I took out seven of them. Thirteen hostages were freed as a result, and I told them to follow me to the exit. I led them back to where I started and once they were out of the building, proceeded to head towards the vault. There were two guards there, both German Shepherds. I used one shotgun round on each of them, right in the head. Then I used two more flashbangs, quickly shotgunning any gangsters incapacitated by them. I took out all the gang members in the vault within two minutes, proceeding to mop up the remaining thugs in the office. Then I moved onto the main room. Everyone had at least one hostage for a human shield, holding guns to their heads. I remember one bloke, a Husky, holding a gun to the crotch of some Alligator in a business suit. That's when I called in backup. A SWAT team came in from the front, and during the ensuing firefight, I took out the gangsters with hostages from behind. As for Boss Guillermo, after a quick scuffle, I thought I had him, but he threw me against a wall with his right leg. His body wasn't what it was during the mass theft in Zootopia. He had cyber-prosthetic eyes, bladed claws with injectors full of Rattlesnake poison, and legs with four claws instead of feet. He ran out before I could shoot him, even in he knees.
We lost all the police officers from the first response, five SWAT troopers, and three hostages. Meanwhile, the only one who got away was Guillermo. The rest either died or surrendered, and the ones that surrendered all died under mysterious circumstances before they were brought in for questioning. I was played a recording from one of the squad cars' dash cams, showing some Doberman with a thick Austrian accent rambling on about how Bellwether set them up, but he must have been trying to save his own ass. Bellwether's been off the grid for ten years now, so I doubt that we would run into her soon, but if we did, I would turn her into a doormat for my complex.
NOTE FROM UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT: AFTER THE NIGHT HOWLER INCIDENT, DAWN BELLWETHER WAS GIVEN A LIFE SENTENCE FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER IN THE THIRD DEGREE, CONSPIRACY, CORRUPTION AND FRAMING THE LIONHEART ADMINISTRATION. HOWEVER, SHE USED A LEGAL LOOPHOLE TO GET OUT WITHIN FIVE YEARS ON PAROLE FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR. TWO YEARS INTO HER PAROLE, SHE VIOLATED PAROLE BY GOING OFF THE GRID. SINCE THEN, SHE HAS BEEN LINKED TO FIFTEEN ATTEMPTED COUPS AGAINST THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, TWENTY-NINE AGAINST LOCAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS, AND SEVEN TERRORIST ATTACKS, ONE OF WHICH WAS THE 2033 BOMBING OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS BUILDING. THE DEATHS OF OVER 1700 CIVILIANS, 38% OF WHOM WERE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 AND 5% OF WHOM WERE INFANTS, HAVE BEEN LINKED TO HER AGENDA. SHE HAS BEEN LINKED TO THIS CASE BASED ON EVIDENCE PROVIDED BY OUR UNDERCOVER INVESTIGATORS, CONFIRMING THE CLAIMS MADE BY THE DOBERMAN, WHOSE NAME WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED. THE CAUSE OF DEATH WAS ASPHYXIATION VIA A SOCK LODGED IN HIS THROAT, INITIALLY LABELED A SUICIDE BUT THEN CLASSIFIED AS A MURDER. THIS HAS ALSO BEEN LINKED TO BELLWETHER. THERE IS CURRENTLY A DEATH WARRANT OUT FOR HER. IF YOU SEE DAWN BELLWETHER, REPORT THE INCIDENT TO AUTHORITIES AND DO WHATEVER IS IN YOUR POWER TO CAPTURE OR KILL HER. THIS NOTICE WAS REQUESTED BY MAYOR LEODORE LIONHEART AND PRESIDENT FORRAEDER FALKLAND, BOTH OF WHICH HAVE PAST EXPERIENCES WITH HER, AND HAVE CONFIRMED THAT SHE WILL MANIPULATE ANYONE WHO CARES ABOUT HER LIFE INTO DOING HER BIDDING, BEFORE BETRAYING THEM. IF YOU APPREHEND HER AND SHE PLEADS TO YOU, DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE THAT SEVERAL OF OUR OFFICERS HAVE MADE BEFORE, ONE OF WHOM COULD HAVE PREVENTED THE CAPITOL BUILDING BOMBING. DO NOT SHOW HER MERCY, AND DO NOT SHOW HER COMPASSION, OR YOU WILL BE PLAYING RIGHT INTO HER HANDS AND PUTTING INNOCENT LIVES AT RISK. THIS MESSAGE IS NOW OVER.
