A Slice of Lex: Ch. 5
#9 of A Slice Of Lexi
Ah, so cute those two are... Either pair.
UIL: United Interscholastic League. An organization within my home state, which some might have guessed by now is an approximate setting for the story (though not True to Earth), in which students of compete in various categories from a number of schools. This story handles it a little differently than it normally works, as UIL sets are typically inclusive of very basic pieces which all (if not most,) theatre schools in the state are required to posses. More about UIL sets can be found here: http://www.uiltexas.org/files/academics/theatre/unit-set-drawings.pdf
ACTF: American College Theatre Festival, a national competition which is broken into segments, regional, state, and national in which various schools bring a number of plays forward to be judged. Unlike UIL, which only has regional or regional and state. As is typical one school will not host for years in a row, when I started school the college I attended during my first two years had not played host for eighteen years, at the time I was only nineteen.
A bit of a side fact, I personally have worked on both the "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," Which Arlington West is presenting, and "Hamlet" Which Sam HIll is presenting. Arlington West and Sam Hill being roughly based on UT in my home town, Arlington West being based on the school I will be attending soon.
I'm sorry this chapter may be a bit slow. It's a slice of life, and often it can run a little shallow. I figured I'd be a nice person and let my characters have a break, except that Lexi attempted to play with herself recovering from a UTI which was her own dumb move. I apologize for the some-yiff tag, it was the most fitting, as she did technically masturbate in story.
A Slice Of Lex Ch. 5
Jenny Harlow
Lexi woke up from her nap, and stretched on the bed, taking up the full length of the twin easily. As she was stretching, her tail hit a wet patch on the bed. Great, she thought feeling the small wet patch underneath her. She reached a hand down between her legs, gently bringing it between her thighs. She held it there for a second, the liquid was warm, so it was fresh, and there were still remnants on her lips. She had a mental game of What's That Fluid? Time of the month? No that shouldn't be it, She had just been through that not long before, another accident? Likely considering she still had a UTI. Or waking horniness...Finally she sighed and brought her fingers out from beneath the covers. They were still wet, but there wasn't the thick sticky feeling of blood, she smelled them, there was a faint musk to it but it wasn't unappealing. "Ah," she said, reaching her hand back beneath the covers. The wolf played for a few minutes, gently pulling her hood in small circles around her clit. She was still aroused from the recently ended dream, and orgasm was not far off. She moaned a little as she came though, incredible sharp twinges shooting through her urethra. "Well, that could've been better." She said to the empty room, she lay in bed now more awake. She sat up sweating from her fun. She walked over as she normally did to bask in the cold air from the window unit and peer out the window. The sky was gray again, indicating heavily the possibility for more rain, the patch of sun having faded. She checked the time. It had been about seven thirty when she'd gotten home, it was now closer to two in the afternoon. The wolf smiled, knowing her lovely vixen would be there soon, even if her brother and Christine were still a ways off yet. She walked over to her closet, pulling out a long night gown that was a shade of cobalt blue. She didn't particularly care about being naked in her own apartment, or having Victoria walk in on her, nor did the vixen particularly care about walking in on the wolf naked. Once you've seen a sight multiple times it kind of loses the surprise it might once have had. She sat on her bed, opening the drawer on her nightstand and taking her PS3 controller out. The system let out a small peep as it came on, she loaded Killzone 3 into the disk drive. Not wanting to play anything she had to get especially involved in. She created a bot game, and selected the Helghast Sniper to play for a while. She sat playing for about forty five minutes, switching to her replay of the campaign about half way. Her door opened, Victoria stepped through, gently knocking on the door.
Excited, and in a silly mood, Lexi ran over, attempting to grab her in a flying hug. However, Victoria flinched, and Lexi stopped short. She cocked her head slightly sideways, "Do I smell that bad?" She asked, grinning slightly.
l
"Now that you mention it, kind of, you smell like cum and sweat gal-o-mine." Victoria said, putting her hands in her pockets nonchalantly. "But it's not you, I had a high school flashback thing again, and I guess it left me more on edge than I thought. I... I punched Kylie." The Vixen said. This time as Lex's arms came forward, she collapsed into them, breathing in the comforting scent of her wolf, neither one talking. "Five shitty days in a row." Victoria said, her voice slightly muffled by Lex's bust.
"Yeah it's a new record." Lexi said, gently coaxing her girlfriend over to sit on the bed with her. "I love you Victoria." Lexi said, her eyes staring deep into her foxy's "I wish that hadn't happened to you, but I'm glad I can be here to help you forget it."
The fox smiled, all she said was "I love you too." She leaned her head against her girlfriend, watching her resume her game. She always felt safest with her wolf around, like nothing could hurt her. She kissed her neck softly, before making a face, "No seriously girl, before company comes over, you best get in the shower because you reek." She joked, gently pushing Lexi onto her side. The gun her character had been firing now shooting wildly into the air.
Lexi placed her muzzle under her arm for a second, sniffing gently. She pulled back a little. "You're right." She said, sitting back up on the bed. She handed Victoria the controller, and gathered her towels. Vic was also an avid gamer, and she took control willingly, without even being asked if she wanted to play. At this point in their relationship, the answer was implied. The wolf walked into the bathroom, got in the shower, and started the water. She had just gotten it up to the right temperature when she heard a knock on the door. "Come on in, I'm behind the glass so you won't see anything." The wolf said. Christine's door opened, she could see the white wood move through the fogged glass. Christine shouldn't be home for another three hours though. She saw a small gray shape moving in the bathroom, without her glasses and through the fogged glass, she assumed it was Christine. "You feeling okay today girl?" Lexi asked, concerned that she was home this early.
The response she got was a heavy sigh, an audible sigh. Suddenly the wolf swallowed hard. "I thought I got past people calling me girl a while ago." James said, as he lifted the lid on the toilet.
"I'm so sorry James, I didn't know it was you! I was worried Christine came home not feeling well."
"It's alright. I just got out of school, Christine encouraged me to join your friends and you tonight." He said, having difficulty starting a stream, even if she was just listening.
"Oh?" Lexi said, turning her head towards the squirrel through the glass, "And you said yes?"
"Yeah I did... " James said, finally reaching a point where he'd burst, if his bladder didn't get relief soon.
"So what made you change your mind?" She asked curiously.
"Of all the things you've promised me, Christine had one that trumped them all." He said turning and sitting down on the closed toilet. He absent mindedly flushed it, moments later the wolf let out a girly scream and dropped the showerhead on the floor. "I'M SORRY!" James said, panicking slightly, "Are you okay? You didn't burn yourself or bruise yourself did you?"
"I'm fine, was a surprise is all. Next time say something okay?"
"Okay... Sorry"
"So what did Christine promise you that convinced you to come?"
"She... She..." James sputtered in his nervous-guy way. "She promised that she would never have sex with me again if I didn't at least try." He said, lowering his head in embarrassment.
Lex giggled softly, "If I'd have known that would work I would've threatened that a long time ago. Though I suppose it wouldn't have been as effective since I never..." Realization hit her like a dump-truck. She slid the screen door open enough to look directly at the squirrel. "YOU AND CHRISTINE DID THE DO!?" She asked surprised.
James turned red under his fur. "Yeah... We... She..." He looked like he was about to pass out.
"That's good I guess, I mean everyone's pacing is a little different, but don't you two barely know each other?" Lexi wanted to be supportive of her friends, but she was also concerned for their mutual happiness, she didn't want anything to go wrong between them.
"Actually, that's what we've spent a lot of the past few days doing. It's actually easier now... I'm not so nervous talking to her."
"Dude, you've been naked in front of a naked her, there's little left to be nervous about." The wolf said, washing her long hair. Checking her stripe as usual, it was starting to darken a little. She frowned slightly, knowing she'd have to touch it up later. "So what have you learned about her thus far?"
"I learned that she likes a lot of the same music I do, even though she has very broad taste in music. She's played me songs that I'd never even dreamed existed. I think that's only natural though." The squirrel said, rubbing his feet on the mat around the toilet. "I mean, she said, ever since the accident as a kid, she's appreciated music more, letting it express what she's feeling when she can't."
Lexi nodded, "Hey James, no offense, but can you leave for a moment, I'm about to step out here, I don't want you to be embarrassed. You can walk through to my apartment if you'd like, Victoria's in there already, and my couch is fairly comfy."
James got up, walking towards the door to Lexi's apartment. "Thanks," He said walking out of the bathroom. He had never been in Lexi's apartment before, his brain tripped up for a second seeing everything mirrored to the apartment in which he'd just spent the last couple nights. Victoria looked up and smiled at him before turning her attention back to the screen. "Hey Victoria," he said, rubbing the back of his head.
"Hey man."
The squirrel nervously walked over and sat on the couch. It wasn't until he made contact with the sofa cushions that he realized something. "Oh my gosh I'm still in my boxers..." He said, standing up awkwardly. It was true, he was wearing a loose white t-shirt, with a pair of boxers as his only pants, they were white with tacos printed on them. He pulled his shirt down as much as he could, while still attempting to give into his nervous habit of rubbing his hair.
"It's alright," Victoria said, still facing the screen. "No one's really gonna care, not even Lexi. Usually when her, Christine and I are hanging out, she and I are wearing nightgowns with nothing else on, if you're comfortable you don't have to change anything." She looked over. James was clearly not comfortable, not really surprising for the shy squirrel, who was now looking completely adorkable. His glasses had slid to the point of almost falling off his nose, and his face was an attempted smile, that didn't exactly work. "Lexi will be out soon, she never does take long drying off, if you want I have a key to Christine's apartment and can let you in now though."
"N-n-no I d-d-don't want to walk through the hall..." James said, tilting his head down in embarrassment.
The fox nodded, attempting her best to be sympathetic to the poor guy's situation. She reached under Lexi's bed, pulling out a bin of blankets, she passed one over to James. "Sit down and cover up, maybe you'll be more comfortable." The squirrel appreciatively took the throw blanket, and sat back down on the couch. He leaned back slightly, and his expression changed.
"I'm not so worried about changing now, thanks, this actually feels really nice."
The wolf walked out, her blue nightgown sticking to her slightly, not intentionally accentuating her shape underneath. James's eyes wandered without him meaning to. Lexi normally wore a lot of t-shirts and sweats when they'd hung out in the past, and he'd never really noticed her figure before. She looked up slightly, rubbing her hair with her towel, just enough to notice his accidental staring. She winked as he looked quickly towards the TV, "Easy there kiddo," The wolf said grinning, "You've already got one lady in your life, don't want to make her jealous now do you?"
"What?" Victoria said turning around, "Ah." She said looking at the squirrel with his head down and Lexi in her slowly loosening night wear.
James looked up again, "I'm sorry, I hope Chrissie won't be mad at me." He said, resting his chin on his hand, his arm on the cushion of the couch.
"If anything she'll find it more funny." Victoria said, grumbling slightly as she was murdered for the third consecutive time in the same spot. "It's an easy enough thing to happen, just be mindful of it. Heck, I still every now and then catch myself staring at women, but then I look over and I see the best lady ever." Victoria said, looking up at Lexi.
Lexi sat on the bed, her shoving Victoria over this time. "Damn right I'm the best woman, no one else would put up with you and your dirty little mind." She said.
The three sat talking comfortable for the next little while, Victoria eventually handing the controller to James, deciding that she too should take a shower before their company arrived. She ran down to her truck, retrieving her school bag from the backseat. She set it in Lexi's closet, pulling a dark green robe out. "Is it okay if I stay over here tonight?" Victoria said, she put her hands on the bottom of her shirt, and had lifted it up just slightly, before pausing and letting it drop back down. "Force of habit," Victoria said, looking back at the squirrel. He hadn't really been paying attention though, totally engrossed in a game he'd just figured out.
"Yeah it's alright, your truck in a good place?" Lex said, sprawling out on her bed pulling the sheet up to her hips.
"Yeah, the truck should be fine unless it starts hailing tonight, all the sheltered visitor spots were taken this time."
As Victoria walked into the bathroom, Lexi suddenly had a thought. "James, you've stayed here for like two days right?"
"Yeah, it's been great. Christine's couch is actually really comfortable, and we've had a lot of fun together."
"I'm more curious as to where you parked, security normally checks the twenty four hours zones, and clocks the license plate."
"Oh, that's easy. Christine gave me her residence pass, she doesn't own a car anyway and doesn't drive, so she figured I could use it more. Honestly I'm glad she did, because I have to admit, staying at her place has been a lot better than staying in my dorm room, it's less cramped and my roommate and I don't really do much together anyway." He said shrugging.
"Oh, okay, curiosity resolved. You may continue gaming in peace sir."
It made sense, Christine either rode with a friend or used a local service called Handi-cab, to get to school. She wasn't legally allowed to drive, even though most epileptics can, Christine is one of the few who cannot. She enjoys riding in a car, and her epilepsy is well managed, but there's still something that can be a trigger for her when driving. Victoria walked out of the bathroom, she was wearing her robe, with her black bra and panties underneath, barely peeking into view as she moved back onto the bed, careful not to sit on the wolf's legs. Lexi pressed her feet into her girlfriend's warm back gently, rubbing one of them softly up and down just above her tail on her back. The fox leaned back into her wolf.
The door opened a few minutes later, the mouse, the sibling wolf and the cat entered, all of them looking tired for different reasons. Daren threw himself down in the recliner in front of Lexi's desk, he took advantage of the rotating base and turned it towards the center of the room. Christine sat down beside James, gently pulling the blanket onto her lap and taking his hand. Mat sat on the floor in front of Lexi's bed, back against the wall that the window was sitting on. "Now that we're all here." Lexi said, stretching as she sat up, "What should we do for dinner, how about River Oaks?"
"Don't really feel like going out again," Mat said, kicking his shoes off.
"Me either," Daren said doing the same.
Christine had taken her shoes off the moment she stepped into the room, she shook her head slightly. "No thank you," She signed.
"How about chinese food? I could go for some lo mein." James said, shrugging.
"Hmmm..." Victoria said, leaning over and resting her head on Lexi's lap. "Would you settle for spaghetti? I want some of Mario's Mimus parmesan."
"Spaghetti doesn't sound bad." James said. He was surprised when Christine also laid down, resting her head on his chest.
The mouse typed a brief message on her phone, it said, "I'm glad you're here. I was joking earlier. We can leave if you get uncomfortable."
"I'm comfortable with you here." James admitted, putting his arm around his girlfriend.
"Ah." Victoria said, wrapping her arms around the wolf above her head now, "KISS ME!" She said attempting to pull Lexi over, the wolf spouting fake protests.
Daren and Mat sat a little awkwardly, Mat looked at Daren with a grin on his face and said "If it makes you feel better, I could kiss you."
Lexi had never seen her brother look so red, as she, the gorgeous fox on her lap, and even James laughed at him. Neither one of them swung that way, but it was funny none the less. Suddenly Christine rubbed her stomach, looking at the rest. "She's right," James said, "I think we're all getting hungry."
The food came relatively fast, considering that Mario's was merely a block away. James and Mat helped Christine bring a couple of her TV trays from her apartment and they all sat eating happily, discussing the affairs of the day. "So tech positions got handed out today." Darren said, between bites of his mushroom and pepperoni pizza. "You've been given Stage Manager for the show, Christine is still working sound, and I got frackin' Front of House."
"Ah I'm sorry, why am I not lights though?"
"Amy said it was because she wanted you to call the show more, you're still set to design it though."
"Who'd she get for board-op?"
"Jack."
"AH NO!" Lex said face-palming, "She expects me to train him..." She sighed heavily. Jack had been a recent addition to the theatre crew. He'd been in high school theatre when he was eighteen, and was now thirty. He hadn't had much training, and often looked like he was staring into the headlights of an oncoming truck. These factors would not have been annoying on their own, as training often overcomes timidness. It was the fact that he assumed he knew what he was doing, and took it upon himself to instruct others, including a professor who had been doing theatre work for almost as long as Jack had been alive. "It's not that I don't like the guy, he just gets under my skin, ya know?"
"Who's Jack, and why is this so bad?" James asked tilting his head.
"He's a new guy, our first production this semester, he was assigned as scene shift during intermission, he spent almost the entire fifteen minutes on stage picking up a relatively close together pack of cards. He started messing with them, shuffling them, looking through them, and then he dropped them and had to pick them up again. Christine, Daren and I were in the booth screaming internally the entire time." Christine and Daren nodded in agreement.
Victoria turned and kissed Lex on the cheek, "Well I think you'll do okay, you wanted to teach anyway so, teach."
"So what about you, how are rehearsals going?"
"Alright for the most part, but our grave digger twisted his ankle going back down into the pit." The fox sighed audibly, "Still not much else going wrong. We're off book now at least." Victoria had been cast as Ophelia in Hamlet, a feat which she was quite proud of, considering that she spent most of her time in a tech position.
Lexi pulled her into a hug from the side, "I'm proud of you. I can't wait until the UIL competition starts in two weeks." The collegiate level UIL worked a little differently in this district than most, it featured a "hosting school" similar to ACTF, where other schools brought their sets and performances for the judges, as well as the other collegiate level theatre students to enjoy.
"Oh yeah," Daren said, swallowing a bite of food, "UIL plans have changed, Sam Hill is now hosting UIL, Angelo's roof caved on their stage."
"What?" Lexi said, looking concerned.
"Everyone's alright, it happened while they were out for the night. So the seven colleges in our district are coming to us, we're playing host again after only a couple years, as we were best prepared to take it at such short notice, especially since that means we don't have to move our set." Victoria said.
James looked a little lost, so Mat (understanding the geek being spoken at the table,) changed the topic. "So James, what are you going to school for? I know you go to West, but I don't know much else about you."
"I'm a psych major, I'm studying to become a councilor for LGBTQ youth." He said, smiling broadly.
"That's cool." The cat said nodding.
"What about you?"
"Technically I graduated, but I'm considering actually joining those three," Mat said indicating the mouse and the two wolves, "At West soon, if I can save enough to go."
The rest of the night passed quietly. The friends sat around the trays pushed together into one large table. They were happy, talking and laughing, especially when they broke out a game of Scrabble, at which Christine beat them all repeatedly and quite handily. Finally things were starting to wind down. Mat was the first to call it quits, as the rain started slowly outside. Daren followed not long after. James and Victoria, both having morning classes, began to lose steam. The mouse and the squirrel walked out through the bathroom, waving as they departed. Lexi opened up the fold out couch, the foot of the bed leaving just enough walking distance between itself and her twin for her to get around. She pulled a couple covers out from the bins under the bed and sat down on the fold out. "You can take my bed, I'm good over here." Lexi said. Victoria meanwhile removed her green robe and set it aside. The wolf pulled the nightgown off over her head and tossed it on top of her chest of drawers. Victoria took her underwear off, and crawled up the side of the bed towards the wall.
"There's enough room here for both of us, unless you don't want to sleep with me."
"Babe, I'd love to but doctor's orders."
"You know what I meant dumbass." The Vixen said, spreading the covers out and sliding under them. She pressed against her love, the wolf smiled, and lay down beside her gently running her own arm between Victoria's arm and body.
"You still owe me for this morning... How did you intend to make it up to me."
"Oh, yeah, I forgot, I bought you a loaf of banana bread at the store. Your favorite kind from the in-store bakery." "Oh?" Lex said, kissing between Victoria's shoulders.
"Yeah, I figured it would make up for the fact that you won't be tasting anything else moist, in the next little bit." Victoria giggled as she was smacked with a pillow to the back of the head.
"I like the banana bread better..." Lexi teased, pressing her head against the back of Victoria's neck, breathing in the smell of her hair.
"Yeah, I'm convinced of that, I'm so imminently worried that you'll leave me for a loaf of bread someday." The girls giggled for several minutes, every time they'd stopped, it would start up all over again. Eventually Lexi fell asleep, snoring softly with her head still gently pressed against the fox. Victoria, however, lie awake. She tried to sleep, but for a while it would not come. She listened to the wolf breathing behind her. Felt her arms wrapped loosely around her body now that the wolf was asleep. Something in the back of her mind still fixated on her old scars. Finally however she got angry, she mentally shouted at the three sneering cheerleaders until they slid back into the deepest, darkest part of her brain. She pulled Lexi's hand up, careful not to wake her, kissed it softly, then returned it to her tummy. The feeling of safety she craved so much filling her, the warmth of the wolf's body next to her soothing her, the gentle breaths falling between her shoulders a reminder that she was loved. She cried softly, not out of sadness nor pain from her past, but out of happiness. The wolf behind her had slowly become her entire world, and she had become Lexi's in return. It was hard to remember what life was like before her, as if she'd always existed in her life. She thought about the end of the month, the special day she was planning all so carefully, and it made her even happier. She finally fell asleep, tears dropping onto the pillow quietly still. In her dreams she pictured herself and Lexi standing on the stage of her old high school, an arch set up on stage. Lex was wearing a dress, as Victoria knew she would, Victoria however was wearing a dress shirt and slacks. The two kissed, and it was done. The fox smiled in her sleep, rolling over and kissing the wolf's muzzle without even waking up first. Even for their shittiest days, their longest fights, it was worth it. Lexi was dreaming of Victoria again, but her dream was much more likely to occur on one's wedding night. She giggled in her sleep as the fox had kissed her.
