This chapter is from a commissioned piece by a commissioner who desires to remain anonymous, but gave me permission to post the first sequence of the story, which amounts to 20 chapters or so.

The commission is an ongoing story involving variations on my characters and worlds as well as characters and worlds they added. You can find the discussion regarding the commission here: https://thetigerwrites.weebly.com/commision-request-example.html

Cerberus is more than his creators intended, but can he work with himself long enough to get the mission done?

Sequence 1 Merge 4, Super Predator Cerberus, Lupine “Wake up, Cerberus.” [Brute]Awake is. [Lover]Wrong? Cerberus stood. [Soldier]Ordered. [Brute]Bah. Before him stood two people. [Lover]Male. He licked his lips. One of two, the one with copper fur in a…[Soldier]uniform…looked him over critically, and Cerberus straightened. [Lover]Why? [Soldier]Is right. [Brute]Is law. That was said with disdain. [Soldier]Wrong. Order. Protection. He realized something. [Soldier]Protector. Same. [Brute]Not protector. You? The mental snort surprised the three of them. [Lover]Fuck him? “Does it work?” the copper furred wolf asked the ferret. “Of course.” The ferret looked at a tablet. “All his vital signs are stable. No indication any of the parts are rejecting the others. Brain waves are unusual, but not chaotic, so he’s fine.” “Good. I have a mission for you, Soldier.” [Soldier]Me. Me soldier. [Brute]Blah. Cerberus groped himself. [Lover]Nice. “What’s it doing?” “No idea.” The ferret looked at his tablet again. “Stop that.” [Soldier]Behave. Cerberus pulled his hand away. [Lover]I liked. [Soldier]On duty. “Identify yourself.” The three of them spoke at the same time, and the voice box hurt from the sounds it made. “What was that? You said it worked.” “I said he needed longer to make sure the neural pathways were properly connected. You’re the one who ordered me to wake him now. But that isn’t what this is.” The ferret tapped on his tablet. [Soldier]“Soldier,” came from it, and Cerberus straightened. [Brute]“Fuck you.” [Lover]“I do you.” “What is that?” “What he said,” the ferret answered, not looking away from the tablet. “Who were they?” “That isn’t important. They met your criteria. What is wrong with it?” “Nothing. This is an unexpected side effect. I think.” “You think?” “This is a first of its kind procedure. It’s bound to—” “Listen here—” Cerberus stepped between the two males, and the wolf hurriedly stepped back. [Soldier]Protect Brother. [Lover]Not brother, lover. Please? [Brute]Creator. “Move!” [Soldier]Obey orders. Cerberus didn’t move. “I’m ordering you to move, Soldier.” [Soldier]Me. Cerberus stepped aside. “What was that?” “I can’t tell you unless I know who they were.” “You don’t need to know that. You never asked before.” “I didn’t realize they would remain.” “What do you mean, remain?” “Remain, defined as still being there.” “I know the definition. I’m asking you what it means in this context.” “It means that I’ve identified the anomaly in the brainwaves. Somehow, the people they were survived the reattaching of their brains.” “What?” The ferret sighed and spoke slower. “Somehow, the people—” “I’m not asking you what you said.” “Then be clearer with your question.” “How much of who they were survived?” “I don’t know. Who were they?” “That isn’t—” The ferret sighed. “I can’t provide answers on incomplete information.” “They were no ones.” [Brute]“Someone,” Cerberus growled. “One of them disagrees. Soldier, look at me.” Cerberus shifted his gaze to the ferret. “Are you the one who spoke?” [Soldier]“No.” The ferret nodded and wrote. “That sounded too brutish to be a soldier,” the wolf said. “To the one who said that you are someone. What is your name?” Cerberus growled. “I told you. He’s a brute. Found him in an alley, mindlessly beating people up.” “Will you accept Brute as an identifier?” The response wasn’t quick, but came without hesitation. [Brute]“Yes,” Cerberus growled. “To the third personality, what is your name?” [Lover]“Your lover?” The ferret wrote. “Lover.” [Lover]“Oh, yes.” The ferret’s attention snapped to Cerberus, confusion filling his eyes. Then a smile formed as he looked Cerberus down, his gaze pausing on his crotch. “That could be inter—” “Stay on task, Ralf. You can have sex with your assistant once I’m satisfied Cerberus works as you promised.” A whimper pulled Cerberus’s attention to a corner of the room. A laboratory, he decided, from the equipment. A feline, lynx, looked at them with worry. He did not look forward to sex with Ralf. [Lover]I want it. [Brute]Him. [Lover]It. Sex. Pleasure. “He does.” “You never said it would have a personality, let along three.” “That was never in the criteria you mentioned. A functional body, built from the initial one, able to think and make decisions and carry out orders. When I said I needed other parts to replace the damage that body had, you added to incorporate the best elements of each without telling me what those were.” “You didn’t—” “You can’t complain the results aren’t exactly what you wanted if you didn’t tell me what that was exactly.” “Watch your tone, Ralf.” “Yes…sir.” Cerberus smiled. [Brute]Good. [Soldier]No. Respect leader. Cerberus snorted, and the wolf glared at him. “Fine. Solder, at attention.” Cerberus straightened. “Enemies have been sniffing around our base. They are endangering the mission.” He tapped his phone, and images appeared on a screen. A lion and black wolf. The image moved in a way that made Cerberus think it was from a drone. They studied part of a body, with a crowd watching. [Lover]Waste. [Soldier]Yes. [Brute]Hungry. “Your target is the lion, the strongest one.” Something clattered at Cerberus’s feet. “You are to manacle him and bring him here.” He looked at Ralf. “He’s going to be the base for the next one. Now that you’ve made this prototype, I expect this one to be more efficient. None of that independent thinking this one seems to be able to.” Cerberus stared at the manacles, dread forming. [Brute]No. [Soldier]Orders. But he also didn’t move. [Lover]What? “You have your orders, Cerberus,” the wolf snapped. He bend to pick the manacles and lost his balance. Attempting to get to his feet resulted in his body convulsing. “You said it was working!” Ralf crouched next to Cerberus. “You must cooperate. If you don’t, he will consider you a failure and order me to destroy you.” [Lover]Live. [Soldier]Cooperate. [Brute]Fine. Cerberus stood, then took the manacles. “Good.” The wolf smirked. “You might be worth keeping after all.” He handed him a phone. “Keep that with you at all times. The information on your target is there. Capture him without drawing attention to yourself. That is an order.” [Soldier]“Yes, sir.” [Brute]Tail sniffer. [Lover]I like tails. Lots of pleasure under them. “Ralf, you can take a break. Lamix is yours to enjoy.” “Sir,” the lynx said fearfully. “You have your orders, soldier. You keep Ralf on task and have sex with him when needed.” “He’s too big.” The wolf snorted. Ceberus’s gaze lowered to the ferret’s crotch. [Lover]I like big. He couldn’t tell the size due to the lab coat hiding it. “Cerberus, I gave you an order. Execute!” [Soldier]“Yes, sir!” he stumbled on the way to the door. [Soldier]Cooperate. His steps steadied, and he moved without troubled by the time he was outside the building. * * * * * Cerberus watched the concrete building from the rooftop. [Brute]Why are we doing this? [Soldier]Orders. [Brute]I’m not a soldier. And I wouldn’t follow his orders if I was. Why are you? [Soldier]A soldier follows the chain of command. [Lover]Can I fuck them first? Cerberus licked his lips at the naked males in the concrete house’s living room. They snuggled on a couch, watching television and fondling each other. They’d just fucked and looked about to start again, and he ached from wanting some of that. [Soldier]Orders are to capture the lion. [Lover]So I can fuck the wolf? [Soldier]What is your obsession with sex? [Brute]I’m with Soldier. You need to tone it down. This erection is bothersome. [Lover]Stroke me. Please stroke me. I want to fuck someone. [Soldier]After the mission. [Brute]Why aren’t we in there already? I can take the lion easily. [Soldier]He’s powered. Cerberus snorted. [Brute]Like that’s ever stopped me. [Soldier]You’re powered? [Brute]I…don’t know. [Soldier]Then how do you know you can take him? Ralf is right. We need as much information as possible. [Brute]I just have a feeling that I’ve been in lopsided fights before. I always find a way to even-out the scales. [Soldier]We observe. We strategise. [Brute]Doesn’t your boss wants this done immediately? Cerberus looked at the phone. [Soldier]The leader hasn’t sent modifications to the orders, and no timeframe was included. He said not to draw attention. That means we take the time to find the location where the operation can be conducted discretely. [Lover]Can we just join them, offer to have sex. Have the sex and then capture him? Them? We can keep the wolf, right? He has a nice ass. [Soldier]Stop thinking about sex. [Lover]How can I when they are going at it? [Soldier]Then look away. Cerberus turned and headed for the stairs. [Soldier]Not like that, I need to observe. [Lover]Observe what? Them fucking? [Brute]Lover’s right. It isn’t like we can learn anything just watching them fuck. [Lover]Oh, we can learn plenty. I just want in on that action. [Soldier]We need to observe for once they are done. We need to know what they will do afterwards. [Brute]They’re going to fuck again, just like before. [Lover]Yes! Fuck, I need to find someone. [Soldier]We have an operation, Brute, tell him this is what matters, not our cock. [Brute]I don’t care which one of you gets to have his way. It isn’t like I’m enjoying either. I just want to go there and fight. If we aren’t doing that now. You two can argue over what we’re doing until we are. [Lover]I just want to find someone and fuck them. We can come back afterward. [Soldier]Fine. But be quick about it. [Lover]No faster than needed. * * * * * Cerberus carefully opened the skylight, then lowered himself in with ease. [Brute]We’re strong. [Soldier]My contribution. He lowered the skylight before letting himself drop, going limp on landing and rolling to a crouch, listening. [Brute]How do you know? [Soldier]I just do. [Brute]Could be Lover’s thing. Cerberus snorted. [Lover]Oh no, my thing definitely isn’t that. [Soldier]Be quiet. [Lover]There’s no one here but them, remember? [Soldier]Which means there is someone to hear. The goal is to surprise them. [Lover]His thing is strength and toughness, not senses. The other’s got nothing. [Soldier]Operations aren’t successful by taking risks. He moved carefully among the lockers until he reached the door. Cracking it open brought the sounds of a fight. A body hit the mat, hard. “I still say the location’s important. The numbers line up in that direction.” A grunt, and exchange of blows. “Asking around isn’t supporting that,” the other answered. “One of us is missing data.” A body hit the mat again. “You’re always missing data.” The first one moaned. “No, I think that stick has plenty of data.” A chuckle. “We’re supposed to be working the problem.” “You’re the one with the hard-on.” Cerberus stepped forward. [Brute]Be careful. [Lover]I just want to admire it. [Brute]I doubt that’s the limit of what you want. [Lover]You need to experience it. [Brute]I have, remember. No comment about it. It’s your thing, not mine. [Soldier]I enjoyed it. [Brute]Then it’s both of yours. Aren’t you the one saying we’re on a mission? Shouldn’t you be telling him to focus? The lion stood over the wolf, hand extended. Cerberus licked his lips. [Soldier]Do focus. [Lover]Oh, I am. [Soldier]The mission, Lover. [Lover]Then one of you need to move us. [Brute]How are we doing this? We can’t just flow in and out of control like we have before. We need structure. [Soldier]I think the only way we are getting that is by agreeing to let whoever is handling the body be. Or ask if either of you need to take control. Lover isn’t going to, but both of us are fighters. If we just go back and forth, we’ll get in each other’s way. [Lover]I’m only agreeing to that while we’re fighting. This is our body. I’m not being relegated to the back seat just because I don’t fight. [Soldier]Agreed. If we aren’t in a tactical situation, flowing back and forth isn’t going to be a problem. [Brute]So, which of us starts this? [Soldier]Unless you feel that a brute force attack will be effective against the lion, I believe I’m better suited. [Brute]Go for it. Cerberus rushed the combat circle. He was halfway there before either of them noticed him. Three quarters of the way before they started reacting, and on them before they were done. Which was why he didn’t understand where the foot on his stomach that forced him to keep in the air past the lion connected. The wolf had been on his back without indication he’d do anything. “You’re the target,” the wolf said as Cerberus rolled to a crouch and threw himself at the lion. Somehow the wolf kicked him, sending him off target. He landed on his feet but was then off them from the claws raking his stomach. Cerberus stared at the blood flowing far too freely. [Brute]I thought you were tough. [Soldier]I am. The file didn’t say anything about the lion being this strong. [Lover]I think I know what my thing is. The deep cuts closed. [Soldier]This changes things. Cerberus attacked, blocking and taking the strikes, which healed quickly. Then the wolf was there, and a strike on the shoulder had Cerberus staggering back. “Why aren’t you decking him?” “I should have,” the lion replied. “I hit him as hard as I can.” “No one’s that tough.” “I know.” “He did something to you.” Cerberus attacked. [Soldier]We did? [Brute]I evened the fight. He struck, and the lion was the one staggering back. “Hey, get your hands off my mate.” Cerberus swung at the wolf, who stepped out of the way. He punched, but the wolf moved under the strike and hit him in the side. Cerberus nearly fell from his leg buckling. [Brute]How did that hurt? [Soldier]He hit a nerve cluster. [Brute]We shouldn’t have felt that. [Soldier]Yeah? Well, we did. Precision counts for something, it seems. The wolf kept dodging, and when he struck, it hit. And while the pain was too short to put Cerberus at a disadvantage, it disabled a part of his body long enough the lion got in hits. [Lover]Take him out. [Soldier]Which one? [Lover]The wolf. He’s the dangerous one. [Brute]That makes him the strongest one. [Soldier]The leader wants the lion. [Lover]Because he thinks he’s the strongest. [Brute]How about we grab one? If he isn’t happy. We come back for the other? We can’t deal with both. [Soldier]Even the fight. [Brute]Whatever the wolf has, I can’t even it out. Cerberus shouldered the lion hard enough his shoulder broke, but the lion flew through the wall. He reached for the wolf, who stepped aside. His shoulder healed in time for him to try again, only for the wolf to deflect the blow and kick Cerberus’s knee out from under him. [Brute]Let me take over. Cerberus moved while falling back, hand reaching out and almost grabbing the wolf’s shoulder. “What the fuck?” the wolf hurried back, but Cerberus was already in the air, elbow connecting with the side of the wolf’s head. He had the manacles on him and the groaning body over his shoulder. “Get back here with my wolf!” the lion yelled as Cerberus ran as fast as he could.
