In the dark corner of an unused room, a swirling dark-orange portal began to manifest itself, growing in height and width, but remaining paper-thin in depth. The swirling began to slow before stopping completely, and the rippling surface evened out. At first, nothing happened, then a single rubber ball shot out from the portal, hitting the wall in front of it, and bounced its way back towards the portal, disappearing again.
Less than a minute had passed when a four-toed, woolly foot stretched through the portal, feeling around in the air, before coming down to rest on the ground. The feet were followed by a four-fingered hand, the fingers and palm clean of any wool, while the back of the hand was covered in the same dark grey wool as the feet.
For a few intense moments, nothing else happened, then with a decisive leap, the rest of the body passed through the portal, stumbling a few steps, before coming to a stop.
Alosi kneeled on the cold ground of the room, the portal - the only light source in the room - painting her shadow on the opposite wall. She breathed somewhat loudly, panting from excitement as her smooth, nostrilless muzzle turned halfway around, the side of her face facing back towards the portal she had just come from. Her sideways-facing eye glinted with the sharp realization.
It worked.
The thought screeched her mind to a sudden halt. The portal was still stable, standing silently behind her, its surface not even showing any cracks from the passing of the rubber ball or herself, like last time.
“It worked!” She jumped up with sudden excitement, thrusting her fist into the air as she whooped. Her grin stretched from one ear to the other as she approached the portal. She hastily reached through, lifting her bag that she had forgotten about from the other side, and pulled its strap over her shoulder and head.
“Next time, you stay on me during testing…” She muttered to her bag, a tang of embarrassment painting her cheeks to a similar dark-orange as the portal was. She quickly produced her experimental portal gun from said bag - the thing was blocky, with exposed wires and an extra circuit board hastily taped to its side - but it worked.
She tapped the empty container cube at its back before extending it towards the portal. Before she forgot about it, she quickly flipped a switch over, then pulled the trigger.
The portal’s surface now formed a vortex again - only this time, in reverse. The swirling quickened until the edges of the portal were pulled into the eye of the whirlpool, then shot out straight into the portal gun. As the shapeless energy disappeared, the blocky container at the back of the gun was soon filled up to the brim, leaving the room in almost complete darkness.
With a victorious grin, Alosi carefully placed her portal gun back into her bag, patting it gently, before swinging it to her back.
“Let’s see what we have…” She muttered to herself. She held back a tired yawn, rubbing her eyes to chase away the tiredness. She had been up all night trying to figure out what was wrong with her invention when she finally cracked the issue. Now, she was through, and wanted to figure out where she was.
Her excitement quickly returned when her ears shook, and she realised: she was hearing voices from the other side of the door! She hastily walked up to it, carefully cracking it open while tilting her head to the side to see better, and squinted from the sudden light that momentarily blinded her. After rubbing them again, she glanced out - and her eyes widened.
The door led to a larger, more open space that seemed to be some sort of gathering place, currently filled with several large tents, stands, and smaller shops. These shops, along with the place in general, were filled with all kinds of species - species she did not recognise at all.
There were no humans that she could see, but she did notice a couple of people who she almost mistook for fellow venlil, if not for the fact that most of them looked very different. For one, they all had their nostrils, their feet ended with hooves, and almost all of them had forward-facing eyes. The sight sent a tingle of fear up her spine, but she was quick to put it away. Her invention indeed worked - she was in a completely different world.
Almost everyone seemed to have been wearing clothes too, which she found strange, but chalked it up to different customs. She thanked the stars for wearing a lab coat; otherwise, she would have felt it to be embarrassing to walk around, practically naked, among the crowd.
She stepped out of the dark room, gingerly closing the door behind herself, before hastily making her way to the masses, disappearing in the crowd of people. Nobody seemed to give her much attention, even with how different she looked, but she soon realized the reason for it when she stopped at one of the larger tents.
Inside, on two legs stood an almost three metres tall, feathered and scaled… something. No, not something, someone! He… or she? They were speaking with others, seemingly quite immersed in the conversation. With such a strange being in here, no wonder others didn’t care about her looks.
Her eye wandered lower, and she froze for a moment, her pupil widening - her stomach was clearly distended and was actively shaking and moving - someone was inside! And nobody seemed to be bothered by it, nonetheless!
Instead of freaking out, she felt her heart beat faster in excitement as she continued her way through the tents and stands. Someone flew over her, and when she glanced up, she only now noticed the large banner that was hanging in the air.
A Vore Convention! She thought in awe. The people around her not only knew what vore was, but also had conventions for it! Oh, back home, even with how things have changed, most people would have freaked out or would have tried to call for the exterminators!
She didn’t even realize she was giggling as she looked around the masses - that is, until she caught a glance at something that caught even her scientific interest.
Carefully, she pushed her way through the crowd until she got close enough to see it more clearly. In front of her stood a good two and a half meters tall, canine-like woman, with dense, fluffy fur - almost, if not even fluffier than her wool, and she took very good care of it! -, with a couple of red and black stripes adorning her body. She wore a mostly translucent bathrobe, barely hiding her voluptuous curves. Alosi had a feeling that she wore it more out of elegance, rather than to actually cover herself.
She was sure she recognised her from somewhere, and it took a while until she found the answer in her memories - she was a kitsune! Well, a bipedal, more humanoid one, but a kitsune nonetheless, from the human's mythology! But one thing was off about her, and that very thing was the one that had caught her eye. While kitsunes were supposed to have more than one tail, up to an astonishing nine, each one long and incredibly fluffy - but instead, she only had one, incredibly thick one, with shorter fur than the rest of her body.
And the very end of it just moved, turning towards her - then, it flashed a toothy grin at her. It moved! She, it’s a tailmaw! Did she move it? Alosi glanced up at the kitsune’s head, but she - just like everyone else - was conversing with someone else, not even glancing towards her. That must have meant…
She needed a closer look.
“This is so fascinating… just how do you work exactly…” She muttered to both herself and the tailmaw as she walked closer. As it lowered, she reached out and curiously petted the soft fur. The owner of the tail didn’t even seem to notice as she observed the tailmaw, looking at it from different angles.
“I wonder if you are just controlled by her… Perhaps a slave-brain that coordinates well with the main one?” She mumbled, gently pressing her fingers between the tailmaw’s lips and parting them without a second thought. Her tiredness must have gotten the better of her, but she couldn’t care less, it was all too interesting.
To her delight, the tailmaw actually had a tongue! It was surprisingly thick and heavy looking, yet it merged into the surrounding flesh with ease, leaving behind a single, fleshy and wet tube that possibly led towards the belly of its owner.
“Must be quite nice to have a tailmaw you can just command to do anything. So lucky… I wonder if I could-” Her sentence was suddenly cut short as the jaws in front of her widened, and her upper body was suddenly engulfed in the wet darkness. She squirmed around with a surprised gasp as she was lifted, the tongue underneath her sliding against her wool with ease, drenching her in slippery saliva.
Apart from the tailmaw, she felt no movement, which led her to a single realisation: the tailmaw was very much self-conscious. And she just walked right up to it to poke around.
Her body was tossed slightly, and she let out a surprised yelp as she was pulled deeper. Two, very different kinds of heat have warmed her body, her cheeks burning as the tongue lapped at her, forcing her legs open, curling back along her tail. She had to bite into her lip to stifle a moan as her sex pressed against the hot tongue while it rubbed against her.
From outside, someone laughed as the tailmaw slumped her in, its lips sealing around her ankles, but not biting down, as the tongue drenched her further. She couldn’t decide if her squirming made her or the tailmaw more excited. Her heart beat faster in excitement - she was actually getting eaten by a tailmaw! A real, flesh and… well, it didn’t have bones. At least, she thought. But no matter, it was a real one!
Her position changed as the tailmaw began to raise itself, the slick saliva and the gravity aiding her travel down its long throat as the muscles around her squeezed. She panted as she was moving deeper, squirming eagerly as she could hear the stomach of the kitsune rumble in earnest. She is going to be food for a kitsune! Oh, if she could have her friends here to witness it! They could even take pictures for her to see later. The bulge she made probably looked so hot from the outside…
Her muzzle suddenly bumped against something in front of her, making her jolt a bit, before she was moved towards the right, into a somewhat tighter tube. At the same time, the kitsune jolted as well, her muffled voice overshadowed by the squelching of saliva, her stomach, and the breathing and heartbeat that was growing increasingly louder.
It must have been her spine! She realized as she squeezed through a spincer, her head and shoulders entering the humid, hot chamber of her stomach. She could taste the acidic tang of the air inside as the rest of her body slid in. The throat from the tailmaw must be splitting into two to compensate for the spine being in the way. She must be quite stretchy to the side. She thought in wonder.
“What are you- oh, you ate someone. Again.” Came the unamused voice of the kitsune from above, once she had settled into the eagerly churning and flexing stomach. “I swear to god, if you don’t warn me next time you do this, I am turning you back into a simple tail! Do you have any idea how uncomfortable it is to feel someone bump against my spine? Of course not, you are just a big sack of muscle!” She huffed before Alosi felt a hand press against her.
“Hey there, darling. Sorry about my tail, I am still getting used to it. You okay in there, right?” She questioned, making Alosi squirm a bit in place and earning a small moan from her hostess.
“Y-yeah, I am fine! Sorry, I shouldn’t have poked around back there.” Alosi replied, her voice devoid of any panic or fear. The stomach around her rumbled and tightened around her once more, and she found a somewhat quickly growing pool around herself.
“Alright. Well, dear, my name is Kiara. Listen, I don’t want to worry you, but you have a reformation ticket, right? My digestion is faster than others, so if you want out, you'd better say it now.” She explained, giving her belly a couple of pats. Alosi stopped, her mind jumping around the different possibilities - there was still so much to see, to explore…
On the other hand, she wanted to experience the digestion of a kitsune - a species no one ever even saw in her own world! She also knew now how to make another, better portal gun, so she could come back any time she wanted. Her reformation machine always worked flawlessly…
With a bit of squirming, she took out the portal gun and rewired it before she pulled the trigger again. Instead of opening a portal, however, the gun flashed a couple of times before disappearing from her hand. With that taken care of, she reclined, rubbing herself against the eager stomach walls and opened her mouth.
“Yeah, I am fine. Always wanted to be part of something… new. My name is Alosi.” She replied with a chuckle, the pool of digestive fluids and saliva already reaching over her hips.
“Well, I’m glad to hear that. Happy to eat you, Alosi. Come find me once you're reformed, alright? I like to get to know my snacks first, before I eat them.”
“Will do!” Alosi replied eagerly, rubbing the stomach wall to her right. This seemed to please her predator, as Kiara returned to talking with whoever she was talking with. As the stomach tightened around her once again, she could see that her wool was already dissolving. She smiled and closed her eyes, handling herself over to the stomach, already planning the design for the next version of the portal gun.
