The first chapter in 'Paperback', a human on human erotica story that explores themes of bondage, female dominance, kink and sensuality.

Author's Note: So it's high time I actually got my writing back on again. I've decided to make public a small erotica story I've been working on in my spare time. It's nothing fantastic, but it's getting me writing again and that's all I can ask for.

In 'Paperback', the story is set in first person and follows a young woman by the name of Celeste. This story is purely human on human and follows SF's TOS. This first chapter is purely scene setting. If you're looking to rub one out, these aren't the droids you're looking for.

I'll be releasing the story in chapters to both allow me to pace myself with the writing and so there's adequate time for feedback in between releases. I don't have a set length yet. It may be two chapters. It may be eight. If it's well received, I'll likely make it an ongoing thing with the characters popping in and out of Celeste's life and exploration into kink. I'm open to suggestions for where the story goes, however I'll predominantly be writing for myself and sharing it on here, rather than writing a 'choose your own adventure'. Maybe another time.

The first thing I noticed were her eyes. In a room full of people there was only one that caught my attention that night; blue eyes the colour of ice beamed back at me from across the room and I smiled back, happy to see a familiar face. It was mid evening and I was stuck at a work party. Now, normally this wouldn’t have been such an ordeal, but it was the end of a long day and once you’ve been to one book launch, you’ve been to them all - work colleagues and strangers milling around with an air of pretentiousness, everyone dressed to the nines and being paid to smile and everyone gushing over a cook book or novel they all own a copy of but have never read. It’s the same drill time and time again and, frankly, I would much rather have been at home.

Lilly beamed at me from across the room and carefully picked her way through the crowd. When you work with someone and see them in nothing but casual clothing, it’s always a bit of a shock to see them dolled up, and she looked fantastic. Red dress, red lips and smoky eyes – I watched a few of the male sponsors check out her arse as she sauntered past in her heels, and I grinned internally.

Lilly was a funny one. We’d worked together for, what, four years now? She was the cheeky, bubbly personality of the office, the vivacious girl who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind and seemed to thrive on riling other people up and being the centre of attention. And with those baby blues and long legs, she never found herself short on that count.

“Celeste, you gorgeous bitch,” she groaned as she threw her arms around me. ”Thank Christ you didn’t leave me here on my own. I’ve been pinned down by that self-absorbed drone, Marcus from editing for the last half an hour. If I have to hear about his fucking boat again, I’m going to throw myself off the balcony.” As per usual, the bigwigs had hired a massive penthouse for the event with some pretty stunning views of the cityscape.

“At least you’d make a pretty mess,” I replied, laughing and squeezing her back. “I take it you missed me?”

She stepped back and sighed dramatically. “If you ever leave me here at a ‘do’ again, I’ll paint “I love Edward Cullen’s cock” in whiteout all over your workbooks. Now let’s go get something to drink. If we have to be here, we might as well make it tolerable.”

She and I had a funny relationship. You know those kinds of people you just sort of ‘click’ with? On my first day at work, I found Lilly hurling abuse at the tampon machine in the bathroom for eating her coin, she saw wide-eyed me standing in the doorway, strutted over, hugged me and introduced herself enthusiastically before asking me unabashedly if I had a ‘putter-inner’ handy, and we had been best friends ever since. Mostly everything got shared between us. Gossip, lunch, lip gloss; there was very little that happened that the other didn’t know about, and they usually had quite a strong opinion about it.

Lilly and I made our way around the event, drinks in hand, smiling, laughing and doing our duty to the company as best we could when one is at a party for a book launch on the taxonomy of invertebrates. Between conversations, she and I had our own groans and complaints about the night; James from accounting was wearing way to much cologne, Stacie from HR had hit the bar way too early and would have some explaining to do on Monday, Tim from management always thought his jokes were much more amusing than they were and Taylor from IT had been trying to make passes at the both of us all night.

“Jesus, you’d think he’d get the hint by now.” Lilly rolled her eyes the moment he was out of earshot.

“You can’t blame the guy for getting his hopes up. I'd take a pass at you in that dress.”

She grinned at me. “Hey now,” she placed one hand on her hip and wagged a finger at me with the other. “You keep that up and half the office is going to think you and I are queer or something by tomorrow.”

“Lilly, with how you act, half the office ALREADY thinks we’re lesbians!” I couldn’t help but laugh out loud. If I had to say one thing about that girl, it was that she was anything but shy. Most of the jokes between us were that thin line best friends ride between insults and outright flirting and on more than one occasion I had to laugh off a question or two from other workmates who thought we might be the next candidate for “couple of the month”.

She stopped to think about it for a moment and returned my grin with a shrug and one of her own. “You know, it wouldn’t be that bad, but I call dibs on being ‘the guy’. I’m going to look so hot in a tuxedo on our wedding day, baby.”

And before I could get in a reply, we were dragged back into another conversation with the IT guys, James making a pain of himself the whole time.
