Alright, this is the final chapter in this series. I would like to clear one thing up, although this series has been based solely on the SatAM Sonic cartoon, it is not based on the comics in any way. Therefore anything that happens in the comics is not accounted for.

Freedom Fighters' Last Stand Ch.4

The Final Battles

Pt.1: Memories of the Past

"Mark, how close are we?" Tails asked the young todd as he followed the map on his datapad, his eyes focused on their destination. It was now sometime in the evening, the sun beginning to disappear over the horizon. The two kits had wandered to a grassland where ancient ruins were set. The crumbling structures were all around them; marble walls that once were buildings, now torn down, white rocks scattered about the ground that hindered their progress towards their destination.

"It's still pretty far away," Mark answered back as he put the device away and turned his gaze to the darkening sky. "Lets take a break, I'm getting tired," he suggested, then walked over and sat against a wall that hadn't fallen to the ground. Tails smiled as she sat next to him, her head resting on his shoulder and an arm holding him across his chest.

Mark smiled as Tails dozed off on his shoulder, his paw gently brushing her cheek fuzz as his mind went back to when they first met. Soon the kit's eyes closed as he too entered dreamland, his mind still fixed on that time a few months ago.

Tails ran through the forest as fast as she could. Her tails spun like a propeller, boosting her speed as she fled from various robots that chased her through the trees and shrubs. The young vixen had gotten lost a few days ago when she was strolling the forest near knothole and the machines appeared, immediately giving chase.

There was only a couple at first and she dispatched them by curling using her twin tails as a club, but more soon appeared and she soon found herself running for her life. She was able to escape them after some time, but the whole thing left her hopelessly lost. Now it was a couple days later.

That morning drones found her again and began the chase anew. She managed to take a couple out but found herself outnumbered and forced to make a break for it. One thing she was glad for was she wasn't in heat. She had recently undergone her first heat, which left her feeling miserable for a week. The last thing she needed was her hormones bothering her when her life was at stake.

As Tails fled her pursuers, she jumped and yelped as she nearly ran into another drone. The kit quickly scrambled in another direction, barely avoiding its grasp, but found another drone approaching from that direction. Soon she was surrounded and she backed up to a tree just as a swatbot flew down at her on a hovercraft.

Tails clenched her fist and prepared for a battle, and just as the drone closed in on her, its hand outstretched, a red blur descended and cut straight into it. The bot crashed into a tree and crumpled to the ground as the figure landed, revealing itself to be a young fox todd holding a small, glowing sword.

"Whoa!" Tails yelped in surprise as the bot was destroyed and she beheld her rescuer. Before she could say anything else the young kit's eyes started glowing and rocks rose up from the ground. Using his powers, the fox flung them towards the drones surrounding the area, damaging some and destroying others as critical systems were struck.

Soon the area erupted in a flurry of laser fire as the remaining drones retaliated against this attacker. However, the blasts proved useless as the kit focused hard and raised two barriers, one around himself and one around Tails. Soon the bots ceased fire and looked about as the area was blanketed in dust. As one neared the location the todd had been, he suddenly descended from a tree, firing lasers of his own from his sword's hilt. After taking a few more drones out he ran over to Tails, who was still dumbstruck by all this.

"C'mon!" The kit yelled as he grabbed Tails and ran through the forest. Tails yelped in surprise as she found herself in the arms of this mysterious kit, then got another surprise when she noticed the speed he was running at.

'Wow, he must be as fast as Sonic!' Tails thought as they sped through the trees, although he wasn't going quite as fast as that. To the young vixen, however, it sure seemed that way.

The young fox jumped from tree to tree in his effort to escape the 'bots before jumping down and swiftly hiding inside a shrub, setting Tails down next to him and bringing a finger to his lips in a gesture. The shaken vixen was still a little confused, but nodded and stayed still as they waited out the drones.

"Negative. No sign of the foxes found," a swatbot informed another as they entered the area in which the vulpines hid. They searched around, looking up trees and brushing shrubs aside in their search.

Tails shook nervously as she watched the drones, their search getting dangerously close to her and the todd's location. "Um, th-they're getting closer," she whispered to her companion, her voice shaky. He nodded and gently motioned for her to remain quiet again as his eyes closed.

A moment later a ruffle was heard a little ways away, drawing the machines attention and sending them running towards the location of the sound. Not wasting a second, the fox grabbed Tails once more and ran in the opposite direction, making sure he remained silent so as not to attract their attention.

After running a good distance the fox stopped and put Tails down. "Are you ok?" he asked her as he sat next to her, panting and resting from all the running. Tails nodded in response and slowly managed a smile, glad she had escaped the drones.

"Thanks for helping me. My name is Tails, what's yours?" she asked him and smiled, her tails waving lazily in the air.

"I'm Ritaku," he answered back and chuckled happily, glad she was ok. After a moment he stood and held his paw out to Tails. "You wanna come to my place? Those nasty bots won't find us there."

"Ok," Tails giggled and nodded, accepting Ritaku's help onto her feet. The two kits smiled at each other and started off through the woods, Ritaku using a datapad he had to locate his home.

Along the way Tails told him of the Freedom Fighters and their base, knothole, and how they were fighting Robotnik.

"Wow, so you know Sonic and Sally? That's so cool!" Ritaku yipped excitedly, the stories of the fighters even reaching him over the years. "It would be so cool to meet them. Um, Tails? Can I ask you something?"

"Yeah, sure," Tails happily responded and giggled, wondering what he wanted to know.

"Well, I heard Sonic and Sally beat Robotnik, so why are his robots still hurting people?" Ritaku asked thoughtfully, his gaze now upon the ground as he tried to contemplate it. Tails sighed and looked down as well as she dug her foot into the ground.

"He came back. His city's back, too," she told her companion as she thought back to that day. The young todd nodded and gazed somberly at the vixen walking next to him. As he looked upon her new feelings began to develop inside him. Without even thinking he wrapped an arm around her and nuzzled her cheek.

Tails meeped softly at this, but she didn't fight it. She just simply snuggled up to him and rested her head on his shoulder, actually glad to have someone to comfort her through everything that had happened.

It wasn't long before the two young ones arrived at a wood shack. From the looks of it it was somewhat bigger than the huts back at Knothole. Ritaku walked up to the door and pressed his paw onto a panel. A click was heard as the door unlocked and he opened it.

Inside it was well furnished, with a couch, some chairs, tables and even some drawers set neatly about the room. She also spotted a machine which she immediately identified as a scrambler, used to interfere with radar and radio signals. It looked well kept, as did everything else. It was obvious Ritaku kept the shack in good shape.

Ritaku lead Tails to the couch and sat with her on it, his arm still wrapped around her. Tails smiled and continued to look around in awe, taking in everything.

"Hey Ritaku, does anyone else live here?" Tails asked him curiously. Ritaku shook his head and looked down at the question, garnering a concerned look from the vixen.

"I lived with a raccoon once. But... Robotnik's robots caught him," he responded and gazed at his sword then at the scrambler set in a corner. "He made my sword and taught me to make things myself. I made some stuff and made sure the scrambler kept working so the robots couldn't find me."

He then held a couple datapads in his paws, a tear falling from his eye as he showed them to Tails. "These were my mom's. She died when I was littler."

This time it was Tails' turn to wrap an arm around Ritaku as she tried to comfort him. She watched as he smiled softly and started showing her stuff on one of the devices, flipping through pages of information, mostly on the Freedom Fighters and Robotropolis that had been compiled by his former guardian and mentor.

"Some of it needed a password, but I figured it out. Uncle Rich taught me how to do that, too," the todd told Tails with a chuckle as he accessed one of the encrypted sections of the data. He gazed at it for a sec before yelping and pulling the datapad from Tails' sight. Both of them blushed deeply at what were crude drawings of two furrs mating, along with what looked to be lessons on it that Ritaku figured Rich was going to teach him when he was old enough. Apparently the raccoon never thought Ritaku would get access to that, or forgot about it.

"Uh, s-sorry, let me find something else," the kit said, noticing that Tails saw at least some of it by her bright-red cheeks. Tails' mind went over it a sec before she let out an embarrassed giggle.

"O-ok," she managed to let out and snuggled up to Ritaku as he flipped through some of the datapad's other contents. Soon their minds dwelled away from the incident as they look at what were blueprints for various devices, including laser guns and rifles, communication systems, and even a blueprint for what the datapad called a biplane.

"Wow," Tails whispered as she looked over the plans for the flying machine. There were even instructions for making it modular for future improvements and additions. Ritaku chuckled at her curiosity and walked over to a shelf and picked up another datapad off it, copying the blueprint to it and giving it to Tails.

"Here you go," he said to the young vixen and smiled. She smiled as well as she took the device into her paw.

"Wow, thanks Ritaku!" she yipped happily and gave him a hug. Ritaku yelped in surprise and chuckled, hugging her back and giving her cheek a lick.

"Sure thing!" he yipped back and looked into her eyes, smiling. Tails smiled back and gazed into his eyes, then looked away as the incident earlier came back into her mind.

"Hey, you... remember the stuff we saw earlier?" she asked hesitantly and rested her head on his shoulder. Ritaku thought for a second, then nodded as the images came back into his mind, new feelings developing in the kits' hearts.

"Do you..." Ritaku started, hesitating for a moment. "Do you want to try it?" he finished and petted over Tails' back. Tails gazed up at him and into his eyes once more. Slowly her eyes closed and her lips closed in on Ritaku's, before locking with them in a kiss. The todd meeped in surprise and quickly recovered and embraced her, kissing back and pushing his tongue in her maw.

The two kits stayed locked like this, murrs coming from their throats as they licked around each other maws, their tongues fumbling around before entwining together. As they kissed, Tails' mind thought about how quickly she had changed. It was just a few months ago when she blecked at the sight of Sonic and Sally kissing after defeating Robotnik. It was also a few days after that when she hit puberty, too, and her body and mind began its changes.

After a moment like this, Ritaku broke the kiss and panted a little, his mind trying to organize all the new feelings that developed. Tails whimpered a bit, not wanting it to stop, but Ritaku shushed her. He then moved his paw and began to rub the inside of her thigh, curious as to the reaction he would get. This caused Tails to gasp as she was rubbed so close to her young sex, the feelings making her nether region wet as she became aroused.

"How does it feel?" Ritaku asked curiously, taking it slow as they both were new to this.

"It- it feels g-good," the vixen responded and let out a soft moan. Her instincts started taking over and she pushed down towards the source of the pleasure. Ritaku nodded and moved his paw up and gently touched her entrance, which garnered another gasp and a louder moan from his partner. Taking his paw from Tails lips, he held her and moved her to lay on the couch. "Oh, Tails, this- nnng- feels so good!" the kit moaned as he felt Tails' walls squeeze around his cock. Soon he came upon an obstruction, and paused there to catch his breath. Meanwhile Tails was still shuddering and panting from the experience. When she felt the tip touch her cherry, she braced herself again, already knowing what was to come.

After a moment Ritaku continued forward, clenching his eyes as he quickly thrust in the rest of the way, breaking the wall and causing Tails to yelp in a mixture of pain and pleasure, tears forming in her eyes from the sudden burning as her virginity was taken.

However, the sting only lasted a moment as Ritaku thrusted in and out of her, and soon their moans filled the room as the todd increased his pace, bringing them both closer and closer. The two squirmed and yipped as Ritaku's knot began to form and hit against Tails' lips, his instincts taking over as he pounded into her.

Tails howled in ecstasy as she felt the knot pop into her, her walls clenching and vibrating as she entered into blissful release. Ritaku howled with her as his young shaft sputtered, his frame shaking from the pleasure, before he collapsed onto his lover and wrapped his arms around her. Soon the two kits dozed as their energy was drained from their new experience.

The next morning the two young foxes awoke, still in each others arms. They smiled to each other and kissed before getting up off the couch.

"I'm gonna go get some breakfast. If you wanna look around, you can," Ritaku said to Tails, who simply nodded back. As she waited she did just that, curiously looking around and checking drawers and shelves. In one drawer she came across some pictures of Ritaku and an adult vixen. As she looked them over Ritaku came back in with some ham and eggs. He placed the plates of food and walked over to Tails, smiling softly.

"That's my mom," the todd told her as he looked over the photos. "Uncle Rich said she died when I was four," he finished with a sad sigh. Tails nodded as she turned a picture around to look at its back. On it was written a name; Crystal Prower.

"Prower?" Tails asked in astonishment as she immediately noticed her family name. She then turned to Ritaku, who had a semi-confused and curious look on his face.

At this time Mark awoke from his slumber and shook his head. He blinked a couple times as his eyes adjusted to the light of morning and took in the same view of the ruins he and Tails had fell asleep in. Tails woke up shortly afterwards and Mark helped her up, then turned on his datapad so the two could resume their search.

"I assure you it will work!" Kitty almost shouted as Robotnik sat nearby and listened to her. "We're already going nowhere with these radars, so we just have the Freedom Fighters get the emeralds for us!"

"It had better work, Kitty. I'm growing impatient with these delays. I want those emeralds, and I better have them by tomorrow evening!" he warned her and glared at the cat. She growled and hissed silently as she resisted the urge to rip into him. After all, she needed him to finish the special roboticiser for her, and she didn't like the idea of being a drone.

"I understand. Mark my words, you will have those gems. Now, if you don't mind, I need to get some air before I suffocate in here," she hissed and walked out of the small craft they were in. Outside she found a quiet place free of anything mechanical to think. She found herself dwelling on Sally's words about Robotnik turning on her.

"Grrr, who does he think he's dealing with? Has he forgotten who saved him? Who rebuilt his damn city?" she roared and kicked a rock. She thought back to that time, the memory still very fresh in her mind even after six months.

The city of Robotropolis was crumbling. Among the falling structures the form of Kitty hastily made its way to Robotnik's tower. She then glowed for a second before she rose into the air and flew straight to the top, crashing through the structure and into where Robotnik was just being sucked into the void. She rushed into the portal and emerged into the void just as it closed.

"Heh, that was close," she chuckled and made her way through the wasteland. Soon she heard voices and hid behind a crystal structure, peering around to see none other than Naugus snapping his fingers and turning Robotnik into an assortment of animals, stopping at a pig and enjoying the resultant show the scientist put on.

"Hmmm, looks like I'll have to take care of magic-man there," she mumbled as she thought a course of action. She then grinned and focused her psychic powers to raise a few small crystals from the ground. "Yes, this should do fine," she whispered as she flung one of the small gems at the magician.

"Ouch!" Naugus yelled as he felt something hard hit the back of his head. "What was that?"

"Gotcha!" Kitty mewled and giggled as she revealed herself to the magician. Naugus scowled at the feline as he prepared his magicks again, this time intent on teaching Kitty a lesson.

"So, you want to play, eh? Take this!" he growled and snapped his fingers. Kitty merely grinned as a psychic shield around her took the hit instead, flashing for a moment from the magic hitting it.

"What? Why didn't it work?" Naugus demanded and stretched his hand towards the feline. Kitty giggled as a section of the ground right in front of her rose up to form a wall, then shattered a moment later.

"My turn now," the feline cackled as she psychically lifted one of the crystal shards from the shattered wall, pointed the sharp end right at Naugus and flinging it forward. Naugus yelled in surprise and used his magicks to redirect its course away from him. However, in the next moment many more crystals came his way and he found himself having to run while also trying to shatter and redirect them. He then reached a wall, the pointed gems right behind him. He jumped out of the way and landed on his stomach while the crystals shattered against the wall.

"Hehe, nice try, feline- ack!" he chuckled then yelped as he saw Kitty diving right towards him. He tried to cast a spell, but she was too close, too fast. The last thing he saw was sharp, metallic claws slicing into his throat and he crumpled to the ground. Kitty giggled and licked the blood from her claws before withdrawing them and holding up the gold Chaos Emerald in her paw.

"Yes, this gem came quite in handy today," she mused to herself before putting the gem away and turning to Robotnik. Now back to normal, Robotnik walked up to Kitty and glared at the lifeless corpse of Naugus.

"Hello Robotnik. I've come to get you out of here," Kitty stated and gave the demented doctor a grin. Julian rubbed his chin and thought for a moment, wondering who this cat was and what she wanted.

"You have, have you? And what, may I ask, is it you want in return?" he ask suspiciously, not ready to believe she was doing this out of the goodness of her heart. Kitty giggled at his question and smirked.

"I can see nothing gets by you. Of course, I'll want something in return for aiding you. It'll be nothing you can't handle, I assure you," she told him as she walked by him. "One thing I can get myself right now, then we'll be on our way." With that, she headed down a path to the crystal palace where King Acorn currently resided.

"Hmm, so she wants the king," Robotnik mumbled to himself. He listened as there was a commotion and a portal opened out of the realm back to Mobius. Robotnik watched as two drones, looking to be of the design his army was composed of, carried the unconscious king through. He noticed that a glowing aura surrounded the chipmunk. Soon Kitty walked out of the palace and motioned Julian to follow.

It was a month later. With Kitty's help and the tech she possessed, he had completely rebuilt Robotropolis and his robot army. He sat in his control room inside his rebuilt tower and grinned as the freedom fighters run up to fight the battle.

"That feline better not fail me. All this will be for nothing if she doesn't get those power stones away from the hedgehog and princess," he grumbled as the monitor focused on the two.

"Alright, Snively, draw their attention. I don't want them noticing," Kitty said to him as she watched from a distance.

"Very well, proceeding with diversion," Snively responded as he gave orders to the drones to engage Sonic and wishing he had a name to call Kitty, as she had refrained from giving them one. They all watched as Sally took cover while Sonic started leading the bots on a chase around the area. Kitty grinned as Sonic got was chased out of view of the other Freedom Fighters and began to summon her powers. Slowly she opened the backpack that Sonic was wearing and the stones rose out. Just as Sonic was about to turn around Kitty quickly summoned them to her and closed the backpack.

"Hmm, so these are the Power Stones. Impressive," she mused as she psychically held them in front of her. "Yes, quite powerful, but compared to the full might of all seven Chaos Emeralds..."

With that she lifted them high into the air, then with one mighty burst of energy they were flung in three directions far into the horizon. Where they landed, not even she knew.

Soon, Sonic destroyed the drones chasing him and returned to Sally, who had just finished organizing everything for their final assault.

"Alright Sonic, we're ready," she told him and Sonic grinned and gave a thumbs-up before reaching into his backpack.

"And I have the Power Stones right- huh?" he began, then formed a puzzled look on his face as he frantically searched around for the stones. He then pulled the pack off and looked inside it, then looked up to Sally and shrugged. "They're- they're gone!"

"What?" Sally questioned and looked in the pack as well. "Oh, no, this is not good." They looked at each other, their expressions worried and puzzled, then turned to see the robot army advancing. With the Power Stones gone, they were left with little other choice but to retreat back into the forest.

Robotnik watched back in his tower, very pleased at the results. "Heheheh, she did it! Without the Power Stones to aid them, and with the feline in my army, it'll be only a matter of time before the Freedom Fighters crumble! Snively, advance the soldiers! Search every inch of the forest, and find Knothole!"

"Um, sir, about that. We've seen to run into a problem. You see, the feline has disappeared, and the hedgehog has destroyed several of our troops during the rebels' retreat. Sending more would leave the city defenseless, and we would have little more success of finding the rebels' base than before," Snively told the mad scientist, who gave an irritated grumble.

"What? Very well, then" Julian reluctantly agreed. As much as he wanted to capture the Freedom Fighters, he couldn't leave the city with no defenses. He would have to construct more drones with the parts he was given, and hope 'the feline' would come back. It would be another five months before Kitty would show up at Robotropolis again and finally give Julian a name and the Chaos Emerald.

Pt.2: The Turn of the Tide

Sally and Sonic ran through a desert as Robotnik's robots gave chase. Sonic was carrying the princess as he ran around structures and avoided laser fire, soon gaining a good lead on the drones. Hiding inside an ancient marble building, he set Sally down and the two waited for their pursuers to pass.

"Phew, I thought they'd never stop coming," Sonic remarked as the machines passed by. Sally nodded and started looking through her datapad, at the map which showed the last known location of the Chaos Emerald.

"Hmm, according to the map, the emerald should be... inside this building," Sally stated with a bit of surprise. Indeed, the marker showed it to be nearby, somewhere in the structure. "What luck!" Sally then gave Sonic a smooch on the cheek, which garnered a chuckle from the hedgehog, and the two began looking about the chamber.

All about them statues, both crumbled and intact, all gazed down at the two. Ancient words and letters covered the walls, some faded with time, some still telling their ancient tale to anyone with the means to read it.

As they traveled to the middle of the room, they came upon a small alter with the same writing that was etched upon the walls. They looked at it, Sonic with his usual confusion and curiosity, and Sally thinking it over before scanning the letters with her datapad.

"Uh, what does it say?" Sonic asked as he watched Sally look over the translation.

"Well, it seems there's a secret passage around here," she chirped back and started feeling over the alter. "Ah, got it!" she chirped as a switch was activated and the alter slid to the side, revealing a staircase leading to the lower depths.

"W-wait a minute, Sonic," Sally said as they walked down the steps. Sonic became worried as he watched his mate lean against the wall and hold her stomach.

"Hey, you alright?" he asked as he wrapped an arm around her. After a moment she nodded wearily.

"Yeah, I'm alright, just felt a little dizzy for a moment. We better get going," she responded and continued down the stairs. Sonic shrugged and followed after her, now keeping an eye on her.

Mark and Tails, whilst running from drones that had given chase, found themselves in some sort of underground caverns. They were still running whilst also trying to evade magma pools that hindered their every move. Soon they came upon a rather large pool of the molten substance. They could see the other side, but it was too long a ways for even Mark to jump.

"Hey, maybe I can get us across," Tails said to her brother, then looked back and yelped as the drones closed in. Mark looked back and forth between the bots behind them and the lava before them, then nodded.

"Alright, lets go!" he yipped and stood near the expanse of magma. Tails, not waiting a second, grabbed his arms and started to spin her tails, lifting off into the air and starting over the deadly pool. As they crossed balls of fire erupted up before falling back down into the liquid, forcing Tails to be careful where she went.

However, it would be anything but safe passage as the drones opened fire upon the kits. Mark yelped as a laser brushed pass and singed his fur, raising his psychic shield in response to protect them.

"Tails, hurry, I.. can't hold on... for long!" the todd strained as he focused hard to keep the defenses up. Tails began to pant as she found herself wearing out from carrying Mark across such a long distance.

"I-I'll try," Tails responded even as their altitude began to drop. Mark could sense their descent and squinted open his eyes to see that even though they were almost close, they likely wouldn't make it like this.

It was then Mark got desperate. "Tails, hang on!" the todd yelled while maintaining his shield. Then, using all his strength, he focused behind themselves straight at the rock wall far in the back of the room. Debris began to fall from the wall and it began to shift, but nothing much more as his strength was just not enough for what he wanted to do.

The two kits could feel the heat from the magma as they vainly inched closer to it and the other side. However, even as they got closer, just as it seemed they had lost and Mark started to wish for someone to save them, he felt a sudden surge of power like nothing before. As he focused, his seemingly impossible goal came to fruition as a large boulder emerged from the cavern wall and hurled straight through the tunnel.

The bots ceased their fire upon the foxes and turned around just as the large rock crash into them, sending their remains falling into the lava below. Then, the boulder crashed into Mark's shield, which had also been amplified many times, which then sent the two kits hurling over the pool and onto the other side.

After a brief moment the two shaken kits opened their eyes to look about. Tails got up on her hands and knees while she recovered from the shock of what just happened. She then turned to Mark, who also got on his hands and knees. The two kits then sat and looked wide-eyed at the magma pool, the boulder that just saved their lives floating in the molten rock.

"Wow, how'd you do that?" Tails asked Mark in awe. Mark shook his head as he contemplated it.

"I don't know," he responded back, just as confused as Tails, then even more so as he wondered why he wasn't completely knocked cold from it. He slowly got up and stumbled a bit, but Tails caught him and he regained his composure. After finding they could still walk they continued around the corner to continue their journey.

They wouldn't have far to go before they came across what could only be the purple Chaos Emerald just around that corner. It was surrounded by some rocks that looked to be recently shattered, and the emerald itself was glowing with its contained power.

"Hey, there it is!" Tails pointed out excitedly and the two kits ran towards the gem.

"Wow! Hey sis, do you think maybe the emerald helped me?" Mark wondered as the gem' glow faded and he picked it up.

"Maybe. Hey, lets ask Aunt Sally, maybe she'll know!" Tails yipped and looked down a recently-exposed path, likely also the result of the Chaos Emerald unleashing its strength. Mark nodded and they continued through, now searching for an exit from the caverns.

After traveling a bit, however, they were suddenly confronted by a black figure who stopped in front of them, an evil grin on her black-furred face.

"Kitty!" the twins yelped and started to run the other way. However, it was in vain as the feline grabbed Tails by the neck and held her up in the air, the young vixen squirming and calling out to Mark for help.

"Hey, let my sister go!" Mark growled and drew his sword, his eyes burning as he glared at Kitty. She merely smirked in response and licked her lips as she brought a finger to rub on Tails' nether lips. The vixen gasped as she felt herself violated in such a manner and tried to control her urges. Mark growled in warning and began to advance towards the demented feline, his sword at the ready.

"Now now, I wouldn't do that if I were you," Kitty cautioned as she removed her finger from Tails' private spot and unsheathed its claw, bringing it to the kits throat. Mark, not wanting to see his sister hurt, ceased his advance while still keeping an eye on the two.

"Mmmm, what a delightful little vixen you are," Kitty commented as she sniffed at her crotch, then grinned as her nose picked something up. She then giggled evilly and turned Tails to face her.

"Heheh, you two have been naughty little foxes, haven't you," Kitty remarked, identifying the scent she picked up as a life growing within the vixen while rubbing her belly. "Mmm, yes, the scent of a new life is unmistakable."

The mention of 'a new life' shocked the kits as they went wide-eyed in disbelief. Kitty took advantage of Mark's surprise to rush in and steal his sword away. Kitty then grabbed the fox himself and laughed as he squirmed and yelled to be let go.

"Hmmm? And what's this?" she mused as she noticed the emerald, taking it from Mark and holding it up psychically. "Well well, this will surely make Julian happy. Now, it's best not to keep him waiting," she giggled and started heading through the tunnel with the kits and the emerald in tow.

Sonic and Sally made their way into the deepest chambers of the ancient shrine, avoiding trap after trap along the way. The latest hurdle was Sonic carrying Sally whilst running over a collapsing stone bridge situated above a floor of spikes. The hedgehog barely made it over just as the last brick fell down and crumbled on a deadly spike.

"Heh, piece of cake!" Sonic commented and grinned as he put Sally down. The chipmunk brushed herself off and looked over to a doorway which, they hoped, would lead to where the emerald was kept.

"Don't get too excited yet, we still don't know what's in there," Sally commented as she led the way into the next room. Inside they saw the clear Chaos Emerald laying among some rubble. All about the chamber was broken statues and decorations, some still hanging on the walls and ceiling, a lot of it scattered in pieces on the floor.

Sally walked over to the gem while Sonic looked about the room. "Hey Sal, I got a bad feeling," Sonic mentioned as a figure snuck through the shadows of the chamber. Then suddenly the figure jumped right in front of Sally as she was reaching down to pick up the emerald, pushing her away and grabbing it instead.

"Hey, it's Knuckles!" Sonic yelled and ran after the echidna as he jumped to the far side of the room. Without saying a word Knuckles jumped over Sonic as the hedgehog was trying to catch him. "Give that back, knucklehead!"

Sonic helped Sally up and chased Knuckles through the building, soon finding themselves outside as the echidna jumped from structure to structure whilst being pursued by Sonic and Sally.

The chase continued on for some time, Sonic just keeping up with Knuckles, until they arrived at what looked to be a shrine, a huge emerald sitting upon what looked to be an altar.

"Whoa, what's that?" Sonic asked in awe as he looked at the giant emerald, then turned to Knuckles who was giving the Chaos Emerald to Kitty and Robotnik.

"What? It's the Master Emerald, you came here to take it after all," Knuckles answered Sonic's question, looking a bit perplexed that Sonic and Sally couldn't identify what he believed they were going to steal. He then turned around as he heard Julian and Kitty laughing as the boarded a hovercraft with a claw underneath it.

"I must thank you, echidna, you've been a great help," Robotnik chuckled as the craft lifted off, and to Knuckles shock, grabbed the Master Emerald with the claw.

"No! Get back here!" Knuckles yelled and ran after the two, jumping up to try to grab the emerald but just barely missing. He watched them for a second before falling on his knees and hitting the ground with his paw. "No, I've failed in my duty. I can't believe I was fooled," he sulked just as Sonic and Sally ran up to him.

"Hey, it's not over yet!" Sonic encouraged the solemn echidna. "I'll get it back for you, don't you worry, although I'll need your help." Knuckles looked up to the hedgehog, then smiled and got up as he thought up a plan.

"You're right, can't give up now. Here's what we'll do..." he said then quickly told them what to do. Sally stood back as Sonic got into position. Then Knuckles grabbed the hedgehog's legs, spinning around for a moment before throwing Sonic straight towards Robotnik's hovercraft. As Sonic was hurled he went into his spin cut and, repositioning himself, cut straight through the claw that held the Master emerald.

"What was that?" Julian bellowed then looked down to see Sonic riding atop the gem as they fell to the ground. "No, no, NO!" he shouted and grumbled as he stopped the hovercraft in mid-air and watched as the three returned the emerald to its rightful place.

"Grrr, eh, heheh, no matter. At least I have the emerald. Lets return to the ship, then we can focus our attention to the ones at Knothole," the madman chuckled as they left the scene.

"Hey, Robotnik's getting away!" Knuckles told the two as he watched the hovercraft leave. Sonic nodded and gave the echidna a thumbs up, then grabbed Sally.

"Alright, we'll take it from here. Lets go, Sal!" Sonic then left to chase Julian and Kitty through the island. As they left, Knuckles sighed and turned to his charge, light reflecting off the emerald's surface as he thought of what transpired.

After Sonic and Sally were a good ways away from the shrine, the hovercraft approached them, this time with just Kitty aboard. "Heheh, well well, if it isn't the blue speed bump and the princess," Kitty giggled as she pressed a button and a view rose up for everyone to see.

"What do you want?" Sally demanded as an image was displayed, which garnered a shocked gasp from Sally. She watched as a prison cell was displayed, inside it were Tails, Mark, and most shockingly of all, Sally's father, King Acorn. "Daddy! Tails, Mark! H-how?"

Kitty cackled and grinned evilly at the two. "The foxies I came across in a cavern, and with a Chaos Emerald, to boot. As for your father, I took him from the void when I rescued Julian. Using the power of a Chaos Emerald, I was able to undo the effects of that realm upon him," she explained, a pleased tone in her voice.

"Yeah? Well, what do you want?" Sonic asked and wondered what the demented feline was going to do. Kitty giggled at the question as her eyes shifted focus between the two.

"Oh, it's simple. Only your unconditional surrender. If you don't," she warned and pressed another button. As she did, laser beams shot out onto the floor near the kits and the king, moving slowly towards them, the three backing up against the walls of the small cells in response.

"You monster!" Sally screamed at Kitty as she watched the lasers inch ever closer to their targets. The princess looked over to Sonic, who clenched his fist and clenched his eyes shut. After a moment, Sally sighed and turned her gaze to the ground. "Okay Kitty, you win," she sighed and gritted her teeth.

"Heheheh, excellent! Julian will be very pleased!" Kitty cackled and hit a button, which stopped the lasers just before their victims would've been cut down. She then turned off the screen and swooped down to the couple before her, giggling silently at her victory. "Now, lets not dawdle, everyone's waiting!" she ordered with a smirk, then watched as the two boarded the hovercraft, taking off towards Robotnik's ship shortly afterwards.

Pt.3: Power of the Mind

Back at Knothole, Snively made what would hopefully be the last adjustments to the de-roboticiser. Nearby Bunny kept close watch to ensure he didn't try anything. The thought of trying to catch the Freedom Fighters had crossed his mind more than a few times, but then he thought of how Robotnik tried to have him killed.

While he thought of ways to try to regain Julian's favor, he thought of how he was treated by the doctor for so long. He then thought of how the Freedom Fighters treated him the last few days. Although they remained very suspicious of him, he was living a much better life so far. The more these thoughts ran through his head, the less he wanted to be anywhere near Robotnik again.

"How's it coming? You better not be trying anything funny," Bunnie asked Snively, still not trusting him.

"It's done," he answered back as he reattached the panel and bolted in on. Bunny then walked over and looked it over on the console. After seeing that everything seemed alright, she walked over to the de-roboticiser and entered.

"Alright hun, lets give this a go. And no funny stuff!" she warned and prepared herself. Snively then walked over to the console to start the device up. However, before he could do anything, a sudden tremor sent both him and Bunnie hurling to the ground as a flash and loud boom came from outside.

"Uh-oh, that doesn't sound good!" Bunnie commented and ran outside to see what was going on. What she saw shocked her to no ends as drones had invaded the base and were fighting with the Freedom Fighters. Up in the air was Robotnik's hip bearing down over them.

"You! You brought them here, didn't you?" the rabbit accused Snively as he got up and saw what was happening outside.

"N-no! P-p-please, I didn't," he pleaded as another explosion flashed just outside. Just then, none other than Kitty walked into the hut and stared the two down, grinning.

"Well well, Snively, what a surprise to see you up and about. I thought after that wound I dealt you you'd be out cold in bed for at least another day. Don't worry, I won't end you life. It's been decided you'll be better off as a robotic done," she mused and approached them. Upon hearing all this Bunnie let the human down and faced the feline before her now.

"Hun, you picked the wrong gal to mess with," Bunnie stated and ran towards Kitty, her robotic arm winding back for a punch. Kitty smirked and simply caused the console of the de-roboticiser to hurl towards the rabbit. Bunnie jumped away at the last second, however this left her vulnerable and Kitty dashed over and grabbed her from behind.

"Heh, nice try rabbit, but ultimately foolish," the feline giggled just as a few Swatbots entered. One approached Snively and grabbed him as he tried to run. "Good, now destroy everything in here. Our mission is done.

Back on the ship Sally, King Acorn, Sonic, Tails, and Mark all watched in horror as Knothole was burned to the ground and everyone taken prisoner.

"No, how did they find Knothole?" Sally sighed as she watched a swatbot carry a struggling Snively. Next Kitty was shown holding Bunnie, who also struggled, but the feline's psychically enhanced strength overcame the rabbit's robotic limbs.

"Ngg, h-how did you find this place?" Bunnie asked as Kitty took the Chaos Emeralds that the fighters had until now. Kitty grinned back and chuckled as she then walked out of the hut.

"Oh, would you believe dumb luck?" she cackle as she walked towards the ship. "Heh, you see, Robotnik can get pretty irritated when plans are taken down. Well, I was facing scrutiny from the good doctor due to you rebels taking these gems. Well, after finding the last two on that floating island, we headed out. But, I wasn't on the ship. I was actually 'under' it, floating around in the shadows. Being black has its advantages," she chuckled and told her captive as the rest of the fighters listened.

"Well, I was about to board when I decided to look back and saw everyone come out to watch our departure. Sure, you've all been spotted wandering amongst the trees before, but I decided it wouldn't hurt to just... record the location. You know, heheh, just in case," she finished and grinned, quite pleased with the whole thing and loving to gloat over it all. Bunnie meanwhile growled at the words. Onboard the ship, everyone else had their own reactions to everything.

"Don't worry, we'll come up with something. We can't lose faith now," King Acorn whispered to Sally and looked at her lovingly through the bars.

"Yeah, we can't give up now, Sal," Sonic also reassured her and grinned. Sally nodded and smiled at the words. Indeed, this was no time to sulk. They had to find a way to get back the emeralds.

Back at Robotropolis. Robotnik's ship had long since landed, and the Freedom Fighters were thrown into the dungeons. Robot guards marched the corridor of the prison while the rebels watched and tried to come up with a plan.

Sally wasn't much up to planning. She felt sick to her stomach, as did Tails a few cells down. Kitty had been 'gracious' enough to throw Sally with Sonic and Tails with Mark. For what reason, only Kitty knew. Tails had told the princess that she was pregnant, and that made Sally wonder if she might be pregnant as well, given the nature of the sick spells.

Tails and Mark were cuddled up to each other as Kitty entered the chamber. She smirked as she looked over the prisoners, especially Sonic, Sally, and the kits.

"Well well, lets see. Who's gonna be first, hmm?" she mused, then walked over to the cell that contained Mark and Tails. The kits growled at the cat as she looked them over. "Ooh, yesss, perfect."

"No! Don't you dare go anywhere near them!" Sally yelled and watched as Kitty simply ignored her and opened the cell door. Mark got up and into a fighting stance as the black cat approached. His eye twitched and his lips quivered as he glared at Kitty. She merely grabbed the kit and threw him aside, Mark yelping as he crashed into the bars, then she turned her attention to Tails.

Seeing the cat grab Tails and start towards the exit to the cell, the vixen struggling and demanding to be let go threw Mark into a rage as he summoned his powers and yanked hard on a bar. Remarkably his anger gave him the strength to rip it out and rush towards Kitty, brining the rod crashing into her head. Kitty screamed as she felt the stinging pain from the blow, then turned and grabbed Mark.

"So, you like her that much? Then you can join her in the roboticiser!" she roared as she wrested the metal rod from his grasp. Mark glared and shivered as Kitty scowled, then slowly grinned as she walked out the cell with the frightened foxes in her grasp. "Heheheh, yesss, I've always wondered what happens when two are roboticised at the same time, and you two foxies are just small enough to fit! Hehehaahahaha!" she cackled madly as she left. Nearby Sally watched and hit the cell bars in despair, unable to do anything for them.

Kitty wasted no time in throwing the kits into the roboticiser. They yelped and Mark got up to try to escape, but the glass tube fell down before he could.

"Let us out!" he pleaded as he banged his fists on the glass. Kitty walked over to console, where the emerald she obtained from the vulpines rested. She picked it up just as she hit the button herself to begin the roboticisation process.

"Mark!" Tails yelped and hung onto him as the pod energized. Mark thought frantically for a way out of this, then looked to Tails as she whimpered and began to sob softly.

At that moment, just before the two kits would become two more drones in Robotnik's empire, Mark's mind clicked. "Get down!" he yelled as he tackled his sister to the floor and looked into her eyes. "Tails, I love you..."

The pod then flashed with a light as it began its task just as Mark gave every ounce of his being into protecting his mate. Nearby Kitty watched and listened as a long, loud howl came from the device, and the drone monitoring its activity started to hit buttons frantically.

"Warning, immense energy found disrupting the roboticiser," it said to Kitty who snapped her gave at the robot.

"What!" she yelled then had her attention turned to the Chaos Emerald, which glowed brightly in response to Mark's powers. 'He... no, he's somehow linked with the emerald!' she thought and became frantic.

Inside, Tails watched as Mark turned into a machine before her very eyes, whilst protecting her from the same fate. His eyes were clenched shut, his ears folded back, and his tail waved frantically as he focused his chaos emerald-enhanced powers solely on keeping the energy from the pod from getting to Tails.

"T-tails- grah!" he mumbled then howled as he released a tremendous burst of psychic energy. Kitty turned from the console she was frantically operating to see the glass tube holding the kits in shatter. The shockwave sent all the drones into the walls while Kitty focused on keeping herself from the same fate. Suddenly, Mark, in all his metallic glory, burst from the roboticiser and delivered a punch to the black cat's face.

"MREEEOW!" Kitty screamed as she found herself flying through the wall. Mark stood there, his teeth grit and his paws clenched as his body began to glow. Gradually, he began to revert, the chaos emerald still glowing brightly. Tails watched in amazement as her brother returned to normal, the combination of the emerald and his robotics integrating with his implant somehow giving him the ability.

"Mark!" the vixen yelped and ran over to him as he collapsed to his knees. She knelt next to him and wrapped an arm around him while looking tenderly in his eyes. Mark smiled at her and panted as he rested from the whole ordeal. His eyes then noticed the gem laying on the floor and his paw reached to pick it up.

"Heh, i-it saved us again, sis," the todd giggled a little weakly. It was clear that he would've failed without its power aiding him. He stood up as his strength returned and gazed at the gem before turning back to Tails. "C'mon, lets go help everyone!"

Mark and Tails ran through the metal city towards the prison where the Freedom Fighters were held. Along the way he found his sword which Kitty had taken, which he assumed must've been tossed there by all the explosions he caused. As the two entered the prison Mark used it to destroy the guards, then sliced through the bars to release everyone.

"Mark! Tails!" Sally chirped as she ran over to them and embraced them. "How did you get away? Huh?" she asked then looked at the chaos emerald which Tails now held.

"It was that," Mark started to tell Sally as Sonic and King Acorn walked over to them. "I didn't want sis to be a robot, and it helped me. i just kept hoping Tails would be safe."

Sally smiled as she petted the little warrior, and King Acorn gave a pleased smile. "Very good Mark. Now, I think it's time to end this war, and you may just be what we need to do it!"

Pt.4: The Final Hope

Kitty limped towards Robotnik's tower, her fur dusty and ruffed up while she seethed over what happened. 'How! How did that little brat best me?!' her mind fumed as she entered the lift and set it to a level a few floors below the top. The door slid open to reveal Robotnik standing near another roboticiser, a scowl on his face.

"I... don't care! Take away my free will! I don't care anymore. I just want that brat DEAD!" she screamed as her eyes burned with an intense rage. The scowl on the doctor's face then turned to a grin as he welcomed the feline into her fate.

The fighters ran from the prison with Sally organizing their escape from the city. Soon it was just her, the king, Sonic and the foxes. "Alright, Sonic, we..." she started then looked down at her belly as she remembered her thoughts in the cell. "I mean you need to get the emeralds. We can't let them stay in Robotnik's hands."

Sonic placed his paws on Sally's shoulders and nodded. "I will Sal. Heck, it'll be a piece of cake!" he grinned just as Mark and Tails came up to the group.

"Yeah, lets get him, Sonic!" Mark yipped and smiled at the hedgehog. "Huh, whoa!" he then yelped as he fell to the ground from a sudden tremor.

"Heheheh yes, yess, YES!" a voice echoed throughout the city. "it is so clear. This world, everything on it shall become machine. All shall be made to serve the robot empire!"

The black form of a roboticised Kitty then rose from the tower just as it crumbled to the ground. With a yell her powers encompassed the area and everything mechanical in the city rose up and broke apart.

"Whoa, watch out!" Sonic warned as it all began to fly towards Kitty and the fighters found themselves dodging it all. As Mark Dove towards Tails to save her from a huge slab of metal the emerald he held flew from his paw. He reached out for it but gave up and held onto Tails as all the metal and machines converged on Kitty and fused with her being.

The group then looked up to see Kitty transform from an insane feline into a giant metal dragon, her original form acting as a core. All seven chaos emeralds then converged and inserted into slots on her chest.

"Hehehaahahaha!" she cackled, except this time it seemed to come from her mind rather than her mouth. "Yes, the power!" At that moment she launched a beam of light from her dragon mouth straight into the forest.

As the Freedom Fighters opened their eyes, they all gasped at the sight of a large area of the forest; trees, animals, plants, all turned to machines.

"No, she must've absorbed the roboticiser as well!" Sally sighed and looked up as Kitty let out a draconic roar. "Daddy, what are we going to do?"

King Acorn sighed and shook his head. "I don't know. But I do know that even if it's hopeless, we must fight. There has to be a way," he answered as everyone gathered together.

"Heheheh, it's hopeless, you'll never- ACK!" Kitty cackled and then yelped out as a light flashed nearby and the chaos emeralds flew off her and fell near the group.

"Knuckles!" Sonic shouted as he saw the red echidna nearby, his paw on the Master Emerald.

"Hey guys, I thought you could use my help. I never paid you back for helping me get the Master Emerald back, after all," he commented and grinned back at everyone. Just then another roar from Kitty drew their attention as she flapped her metal wings and hovered in the air.

"No matter, I don't need them! I will turn you all into drones to serve Robotnik's Robot Empire!" As she finished the ground shook as Julian's airship rose from underneath. Cannons emerged from all over the hull as Kitty then formed a powerful shield over both her and it.

"That's it Kitty, bring me those rebels!" Julian's voice echoed from the ship just as a blast narrowly missed the group. As they scramble for cover Mark noticed the emeralds on the ground.

"Hey Sonic! Over here!" he yelled to the hedgehog and the two ran over to the gems, followed by knuckles.

"Hmmm, I once read a legend on the shrine that says these respond to people's thoughts," the echidna mentioned as they looked the emeralds over. Mark then looked up to Sonic.

"Hey, Sonic, lets try it!" he yipped encouragingly. After a moment Sonic smiled and nodded as he picked one up. The two then closed their eyes and focused hard, their thoughts on everything they were fighting for.

The emeralds reacted and rose into the air. They circled the two fighters and glowed brightly, then with a flash their power was unleashed. Sonic's fur turned to a pure gold color and his spines pointed upwards, and Mark's fur turned to a pure white as their bodies were filled with an immense power.

The two warriors then turned to Kitty and Robotnik's ship as everyone began to cheer on their last hope. "I'll get Ro-butt-nik, you handle the kitty-dragon," Sonic grinned and Mark nodded in agreement. The two then flew through the air straight towards their targets, intent on ending the war once and for all.

While Sonic began his assault on the ship Mark drew his sword and flung himself at Kitty. Her metal dragon eyes narrowed as she watched the kit engage her. Tilting her head back she charged a blast and launched it at him, still intent on making him a robot. However a psychic field of his own protected him, although it pushed him back.

"I'm not giving up Kitty!" Mark yelled as he continued to charge towards her. As he reached her shield he slashed frantically at it until he opened a hole big enough to fly through.

"Little pest! Take this!" the dragon roared as she swiped her giant paw at Mark. Thinking fast he countered with his sword and drove it into the palm, causing it to flinch back. "Argh, you'll pay!"

Sonic dodged blasts from the cannons as he flew over the ship's hull. Then he flung towards it and opened the shield just enough to strike with his spin attack. Onboard the craft rocked and sent the doctor stumbling around while his drones read a damage report.

"Argh, get that hedgehog!" Julian ordered as the cannons continued their assault on Sonic.

Back at Mark he flew around Kitty whilst slashing into her. Kitty roared as she tried to strike back with her blasts and her claws, but the kit proved too small and fast. After some time her eyes caught the sight of Sally, Tails, and the king watching from behind some rubble.

"Hehehehheh, you've lost!" she announced as she launched a roboticiser-energized blast straight towards the group.

"No!" Mark yelped as he dove towards them as well, trying to get to them before the beam. Just as the came close the kit did a sharp turn into the energy's path and focused all his power into blocking it with his sword in front of him. He then glanced back to see Tails looking straight up at him, her eyes driving him on. "I- I won't let you hurt them!"

With that he forced himself forward and pushed the beam straight back to its source. "What! No, you can't!" Kitty roared as she now launched the attack from her chest, which Mark aimed for. "NO!"

As Mark carved into her and approached her feline core she pushed back psychically to stop him just before he would've carved into the feline. He struggled against both the roboticiser beam and her psychic powers as he thought of what could happen if he lost. His mind then thought back to how he was able to reverse his own roboticisation with the emerald's help.

"Wh-what are you doing?" Kitty demanded as Mark lowered his shield and his body started to absorb the energy. The feline watched as his body became metallic again and he began to push forward once again.

"Nnng, this!" Mark howled as with a huge burst of strength he drove his sword into Kitty's heart. The feline screamed as the kit's psychic powers flowed into her and invaded her systems.

Outside everyone watched then took cover as the metal dragon went through a series of chain reactions. Part fell off as explosions wracked the giant robot and a huge psychic wave emanated from it.

"Wh-what's happening? Mark!" Sally pleaded then turned to see everything enveloped in the wave turned back to its original organic form. "Oh my..."

Meanwhile the shield around Julian's craft fell at Kitty was destroyed, and Sonic wasted no time in ramming through it over and over again. "Yeah, take that!" the hedgehog taunted as it fell from the sky.

Onboard Robotnik grumbled as he turned and ran to a nearby escape pod. However, he would not make it as an explosion would engulf his means of escape. He gasped and ran another direction before an explosion engulfed him as well and he was thrown through a hole and to the ground.

From the remains of the dragon, Kitty and Mark, both de-roboticised, fell to the ground.

"Brother!" Tails yelped as she ran over to him and knelt by him. His white fur turned back to red as he lay motionless on the ground. "Mark? Please, wake up," the vixen pleaded as tears formed in her eyes. She sobbed and rested her head on her brother's stomach, then opened her eyes as she felt it rise and fall in a breathing pattern. "Mark!"

It was five months later. Tails laid in bed and panted hard as her stomach clenched in labor. The vixen cried out as a contraction hit and she bore down, the kit within her sliding down her tunnel. Soon it emerged and was caught into Bunnie's awaiting paws who smiled at the sight of a two-tailed, healthy newborn vixen.

"Here you go, hun," Bunnie said after she cleaned the kit and handed it to Tails. She held her daughter in her arms as Mark, who sat nearby, pet over it and nuzzled Tails' cheek. After a moment Tails got up and Mark helped her outside where Sally and Sonic waited, a hedgehog-chipmunk newborn in the princess' arms. They looked out together at the new Mobotropolis, homes and business being rebuilt as the people enjoyed their newfound peace under King Acorn's leadership.
