Man turned Wolf
In the ancient forest a lone figure stands, in a world in times past. He has come from a time when this doesn't exist. Around his body a strange light glows, A strange feeling spreads throughout his body. His eyes flash gold and the irises contract and then dilate. His spine cracks and lengthens, his rips pop painfully. He cries out a strange cry, as his jaw cracks and lengthens, his whole body transforms. He grows a coat of fur, and his ears slide up his lengthening skull.
He unleashes a howl that echos threw the tree's and surrounding land. His body stops shifting, where one stood a man. Now on all fours, stands a large black wolf. A slight breeze blowing against its fur as it takes off into the forest. Stumbling at first, still getting used to its new body. But after a few strides it began to, stride easier and faster. Threw the forest a deep rumble sounds from the heavens. The wolf looks up and see's dark clouds overhead and it tucks its head down and its gait lengthens. Lifting onto its toes to get the maximum length and speed in its stride.
Behind him the cloud opens up, racing against the rain he hears hammering ever close. He pelts down a slope onto a dry river bed. The noise turning from a dull thump thump to a wet smack as it hit stone. Knowing it is a mere inches from his tail. He leaps over a large rock and it hits him. Within seconds his fur is soaked, his eyes dart around looking for a cave to take shelter in. A dark opening catches his eyes, A few feet away a huge clap follows him as he enters the cave. The darkness and thickness of the rock dulled the thunderous booms and the clatter of the rain, as he made his way deeper into the cave he began to notice scents, and sounds coming from deeper in. Slowly and silently he crept deeper in, not knowing what the source the sound was coming from.Yes, many others hearing breathing from many bodies. He walks forward, still new to his transformation. He stumbles slightly kicking a rock sending it ahead of him off into the large cavern. Where several growls come from ahead of him, his eyes accustomed to the light he see's several males lips quivering as their feral snarls emanate from their throats, eyes filled with hatred. Knowing he is out matched by this group. Especially since he doesn't know how to fight with his new body.
He backs away slowly, towards the entrance when a voice that didn't sound right called from beyond the two wolves. "Let him pass, he means no harm."
With that the wolves backed away and he stopped unsure of what to do the voice sounds again. "Come don't be afraid, they won't hurt you." The voice had age to it, wisdom and nothing like a humans. Like it was spoken in a strange tongue that has long been extinct.
Filling the room the voice beckons him to come, instinct walks him forward past the males that were still tense. As he passes them they don't move but he smells their uneasiness, his eyes adjust fully. He looks towards where he thought the voice was and finds himself looking at a elder wolf. The wolf speaks, "Young one what may I ask if your name." His voice strong and willful.
"My name is Drake." Was all he could manage before his voice cut out and he fell silent. Resting on his haunches he hears a uneasy whine come from behind him. Being larger then most wolves, the muscles rippling with every shift of his posture. His eyes burn a gold that seem to cast light of their own.
"My friend I have not seen any of your kind for a long time past." It says to him, looking upon him with eyes of the most brilliant blue that you could ever see. He then gets up and walks over to him and touches his nose to his. "Though you are not from here I can tell you mean no harm to anyone. I must ask how did you come to get here." Though his voice was loud it held no aggression or malice, just curiosity and friendship.
After a few moments of silence that seemed like eternity Drake finally manage to speak. His voice clear and powerful, making a few wolfs shrink back out of the suddenness of it. Telling them of his transpiring to what he is now. As he spoke none of them said a word, but all had their eyes on him.
As he finished, a couple of pups walked out to him cautiously. Each step small but in their face and eyes filled with curiosity and wonder. A couple of adults tensed waiting to spring as they approached him. The pups stop as he looks at them and they run back into the group of wolves. The elder speaks again this time addressing the group around him. "Now we have heard his story he needs a place to stay and we are the only pack around these lands." He says his voice booming around the cave, even for his age he had strength of a young wolf.
Not knowing what to do still drenched from the rain out side Drake shakes the water off of him. Sending water all around him and a few wolves growl and step back as it hits them. "I'm sorry about that." He says, the acoustics of the cave making his voice sound from all around them. He turns back to the elder to see him looking at him. "Is there a place where I can sleep? I am weary from the interesting trip I have had." He asks kindly, his body mass larger then the other wolves by a foot or more.
