This is my end of a story trade with Squirrel

He's one of the first furry writers I discovered in the fandom, definitely playing a part in my favor of prey characters over the usual generic dogs...so it should hopefully prove to be an interesting experiment to try my hand at his characters and their ways.

"Ketchy, I know you can afford food," Adelaide remarked, staring down at the bucket of half-eaten popcorn between her ankles on the passenger's side. It was an awkward fit down there with the floral spring dress she wore, perhaps a bit early into the season for it, but...she had been dying to try it all winter.

"It's a principle thing," replied the brown-furred squirrel from the back seat of the car, the high-strung female's eyes shifting in all directions as the car pulled out of the theater's parking lot. "It's not right to throw away food."

Adelaide shared a gaze with her friend in the rear view mirror. "I'm not sure popcorn counts as food in the classic sense."

"It's...three or four times more expensive than food," added Field from the driver's seat. The golden-brown harvest mouse recalled his mini-freakout at the total cost of the two popcorns and pair of drinks.

"Exactly," chittered Ketchy with a flick of her tail. "We can't just toss what we didn't eat after what we paid for it."

"Then why'd you make us get two orders," continued Adelaide, looking again at the junk food.

"It was cheaper."

"No it wasn't," scoffed the bat, looking the squirrel in the eye through the mirror once more. "Not as cheap as just getting the one popcorn."

"Yeah but...it was more cost effective. The bundle, or whatever...and besides I didn't think all of our paws should be digging into the same bucket. Germs."

Adelaide shook her head. "Germs? Really?"

"Yeah," Ketchy said simply, sure of her stance. "Right, Field? He agrees with me."

"Well of course he'd agree with you."

"What...what's that supposed to mean," chirped the mouse, flipping the right signal on.

"You know you're neurotic," Adelaide said affectionately, reaching out to run her fingers through the fur on his neck.

"There's nothing wrong with being clean...."

"There isn't," agreed Ketchy with a nod. "It's me and Field versus you."

Adelaide snickered, shaking her head at her ridiculous friend. "Okay but...Field and I were sharing this popcorn. Our paws were all over it. Since we agreed that you'd take all the leftovers...wouldn't the germ problem still be an issue?"

Ketchy's large, rodent eyes searched for an answer. "Well...um...crap."

Adelaide chuckled now, stealing a glance at Field as he drove. He was cute today. Well, he was cute every day. But today...today he was extra cute. On the other paw...he was extra cute most days. She bit her lower lip. Couldn't wait to get him home.

"I'll give it to the birds," reasoned Ketchy.

"Maybe Kody won't fear the Black Death that may or may not be lurking in the bucket," suggested Adelaide, speaking of the squirrel's significant other.

Field took a fleeting glance in her direction. It wasn't lost on Adelaide who slapped her forehead.

"Sorry, Field...."

Ketchy wasted no time in scolding the bat's faux pas. "A plague joke? Really? When your mouse mate is sitting RIGHT there?"

"It's fine," insisted the mouse in his typically timid voice.

"Only because she's sleeping with you."

"Well it...does help," agreed Adelaide, with a sheepish shrug.

Field blushed a bit. It did.

"Anyway, Kody doesn't need it," catchy continued with a twitch of her whiskers. "He'll be full of junk food and soda by the time he gets back."

"I would think that boys would eventually grow out of their no-girls-allowed thing," quipped Adelaide, recalling that Ketchy's rabbit mate was camping with friends for the weekend.

"Wasn't his idea," shrugged Ketchy, looking at the passing scenery, "but it's good that they do it. It's the only time they can do those things that they pretend they stopped doing when they convinced us to be naked near them."

"You say that like you don't love males," Adelaide said, with a toothy grin into the mirror.

"I only love one, now...but I appreciate the overall design of the others." The jittery squirrel snapped her view toward Field. "I should have had him invite you though, Field."

"It's okay," assured the mouse.Saved me the trouble of trying to get out of it.

"Romantic comedies really are the answer to life," suggested Ketchy, recalling the film.

"It wasn't bad," replied Adelaide with a shrug. "Had its moments."

"I do my best to keep me and Kody's relationship as Rom-Com as possible. Sometimes it seems like it's getting to be mostly "rom" and not much "com..." so then I push him into some mud and that balances it out again.

Adelaide snickered. "That's one way. Field and I usually just do the "rom" part and hope the comedy of regular life works itself in as necessary...so I don't have to push him into much of anything."

"Except onto the bed, right?"

Field blushed once more as Adelaide turned and gave her friend a hard look.

"Cool it."

Lights. Blue, red, flashing in the rear view mirror. Field's eyes snapped up to see them and the squad car which rolled up behind the trio. His heart quickened as he swung his head back, looking beyond Ketchy to confirm the police car.

"W-what? Is he...does he want me? Oh god...Adelaide?"

The bat glanced back at the squad car, which appeared to be driven by some kind of canine.

"I think you'd better pull over, Field...."

"Oh...oh no," repeated the harvest mouse, performing a slow, shaky pull off to the side of the curb.

"You didn't do anything, did you?" chittered Ketchy, looking back as the squad car parked behind them. "What'd you do, Field?"

"I...I don't know!" Field squeaked as he began to shake. "W-was I speeding?"

"You?" scoffed Ketchy, derisively.

"Oh god...oh god, oh god, oh god," repeated Field, his paws trembling as they clutched the steering wheel.

"Calm down," Adelaide insisted, rubbing a paw over his shoulder. "At least wait and see what he wants."

"What DOES he want?" squeaked the golden-furred rodent as his eyes darted this way and that. "It could...it could be anything. What if...what if this car's been reported stolen?"

"It's our car, Field," reminded the bat. "We couldn't possibly steal it from ourselves."

"Well...yeah. But we bought it used. We don't know anything about that lot, maybe it WAS stolen."

"Field, that was six years ago."

"He's coming over guys," reported Ketchy with the aid of her not-so-subtle glance through the back window. "Okay, if he asks, I was with you guys from 1 PM to now."

Adelaide glanced into the backseat. "Ketchy, you WERE with us all that time. You still are."

"I know, that's why it'll work, it's airtight."

"Oh god...what do I say," panicked Field, his whiskers, tail, and ears all twitching, snaking, and flicking. "What do I call him? Sir? Officer? Good afternoon, officer...or good evening. It's 4:17 PM, is that evening?"

"Field, roll down the window," reminded Adelaide as the canine officer approached.

"R-right, right...." the mouse hit the button to bring down the window, just as the large frame of the uniformed coyote filled seemed to fill out the entirety of the window.

"Good aft...Sir, good evening...I mean Off...hi there."

"Good evening, sir," greeted the officer. "License and registration, please."

The mouse snapped his head to his right, speaking in a panicked whisper. "Adelaide, where's our registration?"

"It's in the glove box."

"Well...get it!"

Adelaide shook her head as she leaned forward to open up the compartment. Field looked back out through the driver's side window, offering the officer a friendly smile, a compliant smile, a non-threatening smile.

"I'm gonna need to see the license too," reminded the coyote in his deep voice. His piercing yellow eyes stared holes through Field, or at least that's how the mouse saw it.

"Oh, right, right, right...." Fumbling in his pocket for his wallet, the harvest mouse would hastily pull it out, having no time to enjoy its Stitch-themed graphics as he continued to battle for his life.

"H-here you go," stuttered Field, pawing over the wallet through the window.

The earth-toned canine raised a brow at the sight of the wallet.

"It's Stitch," quickly added the mouse, seeing the dubious look on the officer's face. "It's a cartoon...or I mean, a movie...well there was cartoon too but it wasn't very good but...I mean...I have a regular wallet too that's brown, I should...I know I should just carry that one instead. It's more...mature."

The coyote blinked. "Actually I was wondering if you could take the license out of the wallet for me...please."

"Oh...oh yeah, right."Stupid, Field, STUPID.

Despite his shaky paws, the mouse managed to fish out his license. Do you smile when they take the picture or not? He never knew, and this last time he ended up trying to hedge his bets with a face somewhere in between that just made him look like a lunatic. And now this cop was going to know all about it, Field thought as he pawed over the license and the papers passed to him by his mate.

"I um...I weigh like 120 pounds, now," explained Field, his eyes making direct contact with the officer's chest. "But the license says 109. I...gained some weight over the winter. It's-it's...it's not a forgery."

The officer raised a brow yet again. "Duly noted."

"Is everything alright, sir?" Adelaide asked, leaning over toward the driver's window.

"You ran that stop sign back there," explained the coyote, looking over Field's identification.

The mouse glanced back the way they'd come, dumbfounded at this information. "I um...I did?"

"Yep. Rolling stop," informed the canine, giving back the registration. "Gotta watch out for those."

The mouse turned back toward the windshield, nervously gripping the wheel. Rolling stop? A ROLLING STOP?

"Wait here please," the officer said, taking Field's license back to his squad car.

When the predator walked off, Field slowly turned his head toward Adelaide, his shifting eyes meeting her purple sights.

"A rolling stop."

"Yeah," scoffed the bat with a shake of her head.

"How could I be that stupid?"

"Field, it's not a big deal."

"I NEVER do that stuff. I always come to a complete stop. I always look both ways. I always drive the speed limit."

"You are a really boring driver, Field," agreed Ketchy. "I'll back you up."

"Everyone does it, eventually," insisted Adelaide, looking back toward Ketchy. "Right?"

The female squirrel looked back toward the cop's car. "I'm not confessing to anything until we're home."

"Whatever," sighed Adelaide with a roll of her eyes. "He probably just had nothing to do. It's not like anyone ever gets murdered in this town."

"You don't know that," insisted Ketchy with a flick of her boisterous tail.

Adelaide turned to face her friend. "Would you stop?"

"What do you think he's gonna do to me," pondered Field in a grave tone.

"The worse he can do is give you a ticket," reasoned Adelaide.

"You think THAT'S the worst he can do?" chittered Ketchy, raising her brows. "He's a cop, he can do whatever he wants."

The pink-furred bat buried her face in her paw. "Ketchy..."

"She's right," insisted Field, with a foreboding sense in his voice.

"Yeah I mean I heard stories of like, you know, you get stopped by cops and anything could happen," continued the squirrel from the back seat. "I got a friend who's cousin's brother told him about a guy he knew who went missing after being questioned by a cop. I don't know if it's true, just something I heard about."

"Ketchy," Adelaide started, grabbing a wad of cold popcorn from between her legs. "Why don't you put this in your mouth for a while?"

"Adelaide, what do you think," stammered Field, glancing in the rear view mirror. "What's he gonna do?"

"Well...right now he's probably running your license. And when he realizes that you've never done anything more heinous than leaving the cap off of the toothpaste that one time he'll either give you a ticket or go find something else to do."

Field stared ahead, pondering her words. He remembered that toothpaste.

"Adelaide can fly," began Ketchy, staring up and away in thought. "So if she has to, she can get away, no problem...I can probably out-climb him if I could just make it to the nearest woods...but I'm not sure what Field could do...."

Field turned frantically toward Adelaide. Ketchy was right, he'd be done for.

Adelaide threw up her paws, shaking her head. "I...I can't...would you two just chill out?"

"What...what is he doing back there for so long," wondered Field, his knees bobbing furiously as preyish nerves overwhelmed him.

"Field...just relax, okay?" Adelaide cooed affectionately. She leaned over toward her mate, extending a finger to caress over the very edges of his dishy, pink-skinned ear. This always got him, that light touch, in just that right spot. A small, chittery squeak escaped his throat as his eyes narrowed at the sensation.

"It's gonna be okay, hon," spoke the bat, sweetly.

The mouse's toes curled, and his body tingled. That feeling, that touch...he pulled away.

"...No."

The bat raised a brow. "No?"

"You're not...gonna trick me into relaxing."

"She's always doing that," chimed in Ketchy.

Adelaide sighed, slumping over against the passenger's door.

"He's coming back," chittered Field, his darting eyes catching the officer's form in the driver's side mirror.

Small, repeated squeaks escaped the rodent's throat as the coyote officer once against filled out the frame of the window.

"Here you are, sir," the officer said, holding the license back out to Field.

The mouse tentatively took it back, awkwardly holding it in his paw rather than putting it away. The officer rested an arm on the hood of the silver car, leaning in to make his point.

"Alright, so...I understand, small town...not much traffic, you get to thinking...but the traffic laws still apply. You need to watch those rolling stops, those unsignaled turns...."

"O-oh god...did I really turn without signaling? Oh god..."

"No, I was just giving an example," assured the officer.

"Oh...th-thank god," chittered the mouse, nearly collapsing onto the steering wheel.

"For now...I'm just going to call it a warning," the canine decided, standing upright once more. "Just a little reminder to watch yourself, make sure you're following the rules...I'm sure you know this."

"Oh, y-yeah, I know, I know...th-thank you officer...and good afternoon...evening."

"Uh, right," said the coyote as he tapped twice on the roof of the car. "You'll all set. Go on, get outta here."

With this, the officer walked back to his squad car, shaking his head on the way.Mice....

Field's paws continued to tremble. It was over. He'd made it. He was alive. Now what...put the car in drive and take off? Doing it while the officer was still parked behind them seemed risky, what If he made another mistake when pulling away from the curb? For now he just sat, paralyzed with the uncertainty, the vehicle quiet aside from the running motor, until Ketchy broke the silence.

"I think I played that pretty cool."

~ ~ ~

The miniature Enterprise ship keychain dangled back and forth as the silver sedan came to a stop in front of the farmhouse. The fleshy fingers of the harvest mouse twisted the key, turning off the engine. A squeaky sigh.

"Okay...we made it."

"We're alive," confirmed Adelaide with a smirk.

"No more screw-ups...thank god."

"And those ten-second stops at every subsequent stop sign made it easy to appreciate the scenery," Adelaide quipped, with a small shake of her head.

Field hung his head. "Yeah...."

"Can't believe I forgot to give Ketchy the popcorn," scoffed the bat, glancing at the buttery bucket between her ankles. They had dropped the squirrel off at her home minutes before, and as much as the bat loved her friend...it was probably best to get Ketchy and her thoughts away from Field.

The harvest mouse's paws slid off of the wheel as he hastily unfastened his seat belt and opened the door. Adelaide hadn't even released her own buckle before seeing her mate scamper in front of the car, scurrying into the house. The pink-furred female let out a breath through her nose. He was...such a worried little thing. All the time, every day. She loved him for it, couldn't imagine him any other way. What fun would a mouse be without it? All the same, it seemed time to perform a little bit of the maintenance that came with loving a mouse.

Adelaide stepped out of the car, her angular ears flicking at the impact of the raindrops which started to sprinkle from the overcast sky. The popcorn came with as she trotted toward the house, wasting no time in swinging open the storm door once she reached the porch, escaping the rain. The aging, wooden steps leading up to the door needed to be repaired, seemed like a nice activity for the couple to undertake together toward the latter end of spring. Plug in a radio, listen to old tunes as they hammer away at the nails, they get hot, they sweat, they meet eyes, they laugh just a little, they take a break...she was getting ahead of herself. But ever since that kiss in the movie, she'd been stealing glances at Field, rubbing his paws, nuzzling his cheek, all while cloaked in the darkness of the theater. the movie was fine but she'd spent the last forty minutes or so waiting to get home with him.

The pink-furred bat plopped the bucket down on the counter as she entered the kitchen. No sign of him in here, and a quick glance in the living room revealed no additional rodents. The pitter-patter of the rain on the windows grew a bit louder. Hopefully there wouldn't be any thunder, Adelaide thought as she headed for the bedroom. Field seemed distressed enough as it stood. As she stepped through the bedroom door, her plum-colored eyes immediately fell upon the bed. A sigh.

It was a somewhat familiar sight, that little mouse-sized mound burrowed entirely beneath the blanket. The Blanket of Shame, as it were. The bat ambled slowly over toward the side of the bed, placing her paws on her hips.

"Field."

"I'm not here," the blanket replied.

Adelaide crossed her arms. "Yeah? Then who just said that?"

"I don't know...some other...terrible driver."

"Who also happens to have a mouse tail sticking out from the blanket?"

Immediately, the mouse's twitching, pink tail retracted back underneath the quilt.

"Field, come on, come out of there," urged the bat, easing onto the side of the bed. She attempted to at least pull the blanket from over his head, only to find that it was being held from underneath. She shook her head and continued.

"Field, it was a bored cop. He was just looking for a reason."

"And I gave him one."

"Yeah? And how could you have given him one if you're not even Field?"

The blanket did not respond.

"He didn't even give you a ticket."

"He should have. He should have taken my license. I obviously don't deserve one."

"You're being ridiculous," insisted the bat, placing a paw onto the mound.

"I've never been pulled over before," lamented the blanket, shifting in position a bit.

"It happens to everyone," reminded Adelaide, scooting closer. "I've been pulled over before. I even got a ticket. Should I, therefore, have been as ashamed of myself as you are?"

"...No comment."

The bat reached over again, this time successfully pulling down the blanket to reveal the forlorn face of a harvest mouse. It had been Field all along. He looked away from her, his eyes darting every which way as a rodent's sight would tend to.

"It was an impressive streak, Field," Adelaide insisted, leaning in close. "It was, what...sixteen years? That's a pretty good run."

Tentatively, the mouse's eyes shifted over toward her direction, just a bit.

"But now the pressure's off, right? Now that it's happened you don't have to dread that first time."

"Well...I don't know if that counts," he murmured, lifting his covered knees up toward his chest. "I mean...he didn't actually give me a ticket."

"Doesn't that just further make my overall point," suggested the bat, with a tilt of the head.

"I...I don't know."

She leaned in even closer, nuzzling his cheek, running her pink nose through his golden fur. His was a lovely scent, clean yet earthy, mild yet natural, indicative of this timid Field rodent. He smelled as cute as he looked.

"The streak's still alive," she said, her voice muffled a bit by his fur. "No ticket...he let you get away...you're an outlaw."

The harvest mouse couldn't help but feel that little tingle, that feeling whenever she did this, especially when he snuck in just the tiniest of licks. Couldn't help but chitter, couldn't help but twitch those whiskers and flick those ears. Couldn't help but blush a little when her paw ran down his neck, down his chest, over his belly, and settled in the most...peculiar of spots on the blanket which obscured his lower half.

"Remember that kissing scene in the movie," she asked seductively.

"Um...yeah."

"I've been in the mood for kissing a mouse ever since."

"Oh...y-yeah?"

"And maybe a little more. Kissing a mouse, licking a mouse, touching a mouse...climbing on a mouse."

A small squeak. Was it that he had less restraint than he thought or was she just entirely too good at this? It was hard to say but regardless, it was difficult to remain wrapped up in the steep fine of the ticket you almost got when half of her crawled over you like this, one pink wing stretched over his body, planted into the soft bed as she finally got that kiss. It was never a fair fight. The bat's long tongue easily had its way with that tiny pink thing in Field's muzzle, lapping away at him while her skillful lips seemed to make his own buzz with sensation. She pulled away with a chitter, offering a wickedly toothy smile as the mouse answered with a shy smile of his own. So fixed on her gaze into his grey-blue eyes, he didn't even notice her paws sneaking down below the quilt until her finger wrapped themselves around his jeans.

"Now let's get these awful things off."

Field's fingers and toes curled while the amorous bat began to slide the jeans a few inches down his thighs. Adelaide's paws disappeared behind Field, her nimble fingers unfastening the tail snap from around his rope-like tail. The mouse chittered as his jeans and briefs made their way down to his knees, and this is where Adelaide stopped, staring hard into his eyes.

"Are you just gonna leave this thing on my shoulders," asked the bad, seductively.

"Oh...." Field's paws rose to her brightly furred shoulders, cautiously pulling the straps of her dress down the length of her arms. As he did this, Adelaide went to work on his plaid button-up, a professional at unwrapping a mouse after all the practice she'd had. Three buttons in three seconds, and slowly that vintage 1989 "Next Generation" tee that she'd given him over the holidays was revealed, but it wouldn't be staying for long.

Adelaide slipped her winged arms from the straps of the spring dress, allowing it to fall below her chest. The bra she had put on today was similar in color to her eyes, wrapping around her back in a unique, downward fashion to accommodate her wings. How do bats do it, he would always wonder? They put up with all of these strange articles of clothing...it's just life to these winged mammals, these lovely, exotic creatures that Field had come to adore. And what a special skill he had, the mouse thought while wrapping his arms around her back. Sometimes he couldn't help in smile but amusement as he considered his "resume." Skills include: professional photography, creative writing, intimate knowledge of IndyCar, and the expert removal of bat brassieres. It took him no time at all to unfasten the violet garment, and pull it away, rewarding him with the lovely sight of her supple, pink-furred breasts. The mouse had been seeing them on a daily basis for a decade and yet they were no less incredible to gaze upon. Adelaide continued her own project, slipping him out of his button up before tossing it away. She eased off of the bed, standing upright to finished slipping out of the dress until she stood there in only her panties. Adelaide could barely take it, that adorable face of Field's as he watched appreciatively. Her heavenly form was entrancing, enough that Field had nearly forgotten to finish the job on his tee shirt until she motioned for him to remove it. The mouse obeyed as he always did, his little paws grasping the fabric, pulling the shirt up over his head and she couldn't help it, couldn't help but snicker just a little as the collar got hung up on his big, fleshy ears for just a bit until snapping free.

Adelaide rejoined him, this time crawling completely over his body, straddling the delicate rodent. She sat on her knees just below his lap, going to work pulling the jeans and briefs down the rest of the way.

"I've never done it with a criminal before," she teased as as the clothing reached his ankles.

Field curled his paws up close, blushing a bit. "Don't call me that...."

The garments now past his toes, Adelaide tossed them away, crawling back up to him until the two lovers were nose to nose, eye to eye...or at least for the three seconds the fidgeting mouse could keep his eyes in any one direction. Adelaide smiled in amusement.

"Field the mouse...desecrater of laws...roller of stops."

He squeaked in uncertainty, his snaking tail both uneased at the recollection of what had happened earlier yet mobile with anticipation as he gazed upon the bat who had boarded him. With all of his overthinking, Adelaide would offer a friendly hint, taking hold of his paw and guiding it to the band of her panties. Once again focused on the task, Field slowly pulled them down, feeling just as privileged as he had the first time, just as thankful to be given the gift of her body, as well as the honor of revealing it.

"Speed it up, mousey," urged the bat, stroking through the rodent's whiskers. "I'm ready."

Of course he would oblige, wasting no more time in pulling her panties all the way down, until she flicked them off of her ankles. She leaned in close, her muzzle disappearing beyond his view on the left, and he felt himself shudder - a good shudder - as he felt her tongue lap at the very edges of his ear. It was an incredible feeling for a mouse, the ears just about as erogenous as any of the 'classic' parts. As her tongued worked over his left ear, her fingers stroked at the base of his right. From here, Field could nuzzle her neck, take in her sweet scent while his paws ran through the forest of pink fur which covered her back. Down below, the mouse came unsheathed, the pink of his maleness standing erect, ready to be taken in. The bat raked her fangs through the fur on his neck, lapping it up after the teeth passed, eliciting more squeaks, more chitters, simultaneously calming his nerves and inflaming his senses.

Adelaide's paws ran down to his chest, rubbing through his fur as she positioned herself, lifting her hips above his own. She reached down, taking the base of his sheath, stabilizing him, and from here, Field need only to place his paws on her thighs, running them up through her fur, coming to rest on her warm hips. The harvest mouse's eyes narrowed and a shaky squeak escaped past his incisors at the moment Adelaide lowered herself, the warmth of her femininity enveloping him, sending that warmth all throughout his body, down every extremity. Adelaide drew in a sharp, yet a cathartic breath at the feeling of him sliding up and into her body until she was firm against his hips.

"Naughty mouse," she said with a smile and an exhale.

Field hiked up his knees a bit as she started to gyrate and grind against him. With her paws against his chest, Adelaide leaned down close, continuing in just above a whisper.

"Maybe I should cuff you...who knows what you might try to get away with?"

His heart quickened. They had no cuffs in the house of course, which was unfortunate, as the thought, well...he didn't expect the thought to hit him as hard as it did. While he was thinking of it, the bat on top of him grasped his wrists, taking them from her hips and pinning them onto either side of his head, applying most of her weight here as she rose and fell on and off of him.

"I suppose this will have to do," she said, coyly.

Field could feel an sensual electricity buzz though his body. Always submissive, surely always would be, but who could want anything else when you had a bat like this who knew just what to do with all that control? Adelaide slid her paws down below his elbows, allowing the mouse enough movement in his lower arms to reach up and stroke through the fur on her arms. It's something one took for granted, the feeling of touching another, but he had come to appreciate it so, to touch her where ever he could, to feel her body's warmth, feel the life coursing through her, and just consider the privilege - to touch somebody, be entrusted with that sense, and to be as close as they were, here.

Although she appeared as the aggressive one, the feeling was similar for Adelaide. Mice, or mouses as she preferred to call them, were delicate, lovely little things. Cautious. Nervous. Not just anybody could touch them. She had seen them recoil in self-defense at the mere, unexpected attempt of a friend's to place a paw on their shoulder. Trust. Nothing could be more important for these precious creatures. It took time. Patience. Care. An unrelenting regime of gentle affection and reassurance of your devotion, and unyielding promise of comfort and love.

And then, you could climb aboard.

A squeak. With her winged arms on either side of him like this, it was like his own personal 'love-tent,' a shelter where he was hidden away from the bored cops and overpriced popcorn of the world, safe and sound beneath his one and only. He loved the feeling, like this with her wings at either side, or out in the fields, a simple embrace during a country sunset, wrapped up in her natural gift, that intimate security which could only be felt this way, with somebody like her.

She came in close again, her fangs not so much biting but...resting upon his neck, her tongue lapping at the fur once more. He chittered, yes, the feeling between his legs was great, but the true art of this was in the details, the teeth against his neck, the warm, moistness of her tongue, the movements she made before him, the way her thumbs caressed over his arms even as she held them down. Finished for the moment with the meal she'd made of his neck, the bat whispered into his ear.

"Okay...I think you've been reformed."

Field's eyes darted, his chest rising and falling with the feeling she was giving him. "Oh...are, um...are you sure?"

"Yeah," she said with a breathy smile, pulling away from his neck. "You've repaid your debt...almost."

She lifted off of him, Field's mousehood sliding out from her body. She wouldn't have to speak, the way she looked at him, the subtle pressure points on his body which told him "let's switch." Field lifted up off of the pillows while Adelaide moved in to take his place. The harvest mouse was cute the way he sat on his knees, awaiting further direction from the bat. She leaned back across the pillows of the bed, legs spread and knees bent, looking him in the eyes. That particular look. Her paw crept downward, just to lead his eye, just a hint, but he knew what she sought. He crawled forward, positioning himself between her knees. He went lower, and as cute as he was on his knees a moment before, he was more adorable yet with his rump in the air like this.

Adelaide bit down on her lower lip as his whiskers tickled her inner thighs, just a bit. His muzzle between her legs, just above her femininity, he took in her lovely scent as he went to work. His small tongue stroked across her feminine lips, eliciting a chitter from his bat mate. Adelaide's paws settled upon the top of his head, petting him with the left, and stroking his ear with the right. His way of doing this was exquisite, the way he not only licked here here, but also nuzzled a bit, giving it all he had, as if he needed it, as if everything depended on it, ever the selfless lover. Adelaide's tongue licked over her fangs at the pleasure of this, he never gave himself credit for anything, but this...he was incredible at this, surely the best in this town at the very least. Probably in the county. Likely in all of Indiana.

Field's prehensile tail gripped around her left leg, while his paws wrapped around her thighs. The feeling of her fingers through the fur atop his head and over his ear offered a satisfying tingle, and the bat took in a sudden gasp when Field's tongue slipped over her most sensitive spot, where it lingered, much to the strained delight of Adelaide whose eyes squeezed shut. Her paws ran up and down through his furred head and neck, and yes, he was truly special, undoubtedly unbeatable and she wouldn't be able to take much more. She urged him up, pulling lightly on him to get his attention. With the most precious of expressions, he looked at her from his work as the beckoned him up. The bat would position herself a bit flatter while Field crawled up to meet her. She was nearly there, but nothing compared to finishing with him inside. He understood, he was already getting ready, his hips centered between her bent knees, his maleness grasped in his fingers before he came forward, pushing past the folds once again, back into her newly moistened femininity.

A squeak and a chitter. He would lie his head down across her chest, padded by her furred breasts as he took those quick, rodent-like thrusts. Like she had before, she ran her paws over this fur, petting over his head, neck, and back. Field reapplied the grip of his tail over her leg, closing his eyes, taking squeaky breaths, in and out. Even from his position atop of her, he still relinquished most of the control over to the female, the way she held him in place, provided that positive feedback with those strokes over his body. He wasn't going to last long, but neither would she, not after his masterful performance from moments prior.

To be connected like this with somebody you love, it was indescribable at its heights. Those nights you might have after those first few dates with somebody, those times a night of drinking and partying clouded your judgment...the feeling could be incredible but it wasn't the same. It was sex, and sex was nice, but this? This was a connection, not just a mutually enjoyed physical indulgence but becoming a part of each other, a melding of bodies and minds, never closer, and never more vulnerable. Field's thrust thumping into her were always a just bit clumsy from this position especially as he neared his peak, but nothing else would feel natural, nothing would feel as right, as unmistakably...him. He put all of himself into these moments, as did Adelaide, and no, this wasn't merely sex, it was the ultimate way for each of them to experience the other. To know all of their presence, to feel their being, become one.

There it was, that feeling, those contractions, the flow of her peaked pleasures. The bat let out an impassioned cry at that moment he had brought her here, tightening the grip of her arms around his back, arching her own, enveloping him in her wings. And a labored squeak escaped his throat, as he had given it everything he had, all he had to give, his absolute limits. His tail tightened around her leg, a lifeline, an anchor, something to hold onto during this overwhelming moment, and his hips became erratic as the first spurts erupted from within him, flowing into her body. He would try to hold out as long as he could during this moment most tense, giving her as many additional pushes as he could while his body was wracked with his climax. He took one more, one final, sustained thrust forward, tensing up all of the muscles throughout his petite body as the last of his seed made its way to her.

Adelaide felt the spent rodent's weight relax upon her as he finished, the squeaky pants from his muzzle complimenting her own. She offered an appreciative kiss right on his head between his two ears. Field, weakly, returned the gesture with a small kiss and lick to her chest, where his head would continue to lie. He chittered at the feeling of her claws running down his back. His tail eased its grasp of her leg, snaking across the bed behind him as the last of his energy seem to rush down the length of it, escaping through the end.

She urged him up, the mouse moving to meet her and share a muzzle-to-muzzle kiss, a mutual "thank you" between the two lovers. They would lie together, regaining their energy, drawing what they could from the warmth of the other. The scents of their love filled the air, buzzed through their heads as the tranquility of the afterglow began to set in. As intense as the feeling of the lovemaking itself was, this was, arguably, the best kind of moment they shared.

"I love you," she whispered, once more burying her nose into the fur on his neck.

"I love you, too," he answered as he caught his breath. "...He should have given me the ticket."

"You're a good mouse, Field," murmured Adelaide, with a nuzzle. "You just can't help but do bad things."

His eyes darted, his ears flicked. His whiskers, of course, they would twitch. A small smile. Perhaps she was right.

"Will you, um...help keep me out of trouble?"

A coy smile. "Does that sound that something I'd do?"

Field considered the question, remembered all of their time together. The moments they had. How they had them. Where they had them.

"I'd better ask someone else," he chittered, lying his head back down upon her.

Adelaide let out a mirthful breath as she continued to stroke through his fur. Her eyes listed to the side, through the open, bedroom door, out in the rest of the house.

A roll of the eyes. She had remembered Ketchy's popcorn, again.
