#2 of Shattered

Alright, here's part 1 of my twisted little tale, posted after part 2...I know, I'm weird like that. Anyway, nothing particularly cruel or malicious...yet...but I should warn you, the story gets a little perverse after this part. Let me know what you think, and enjoy. * * *

Shattered, part 1 Life is impossible to predict... Kevin looked up at the clock again. Only three minutes had gone by since the last time he looked. He shook his head and sighed, looking back down at the book sprawled open in his lap. He had been on the same page for about an hour, reading the same line over and over again. It was pathetic, he thought to himself, but he didn't really mind. He had long since come to terms with the thought that he had nothing better to do with his Friday nights. It didn't bother him anymore. He looked up at the clock again. It hadn't changed. He shook his head and grinned, tossing his book aside. This was the same thing every weekend. He didn't really mind, though. On the one hand, he didn't do much, didn't know many people, but at least there was no social pressure to deal with. That was a good thing, right? The door to the locker rooms opened, and a small group of guys walked out. A sports team of some kind, though Kevin wasn't really sure. The panther's knowledge of sports was...limited...to say the least. He himself wasn't really into sports that much. He was fast, but that was about it. He wasn't strong, and he certainly didn't have the discipline or the drive to last on any team. The guys walked by him, nodding his way, more out of polite respect than anything else. They didn't know him, he didn't know them. He had seen them often around the training hall, especially when he was waiting out here like this. He had never fit in with the athletic crowd. Well, he had never fit in with any crowd, really. Kevin wasn't really a loner though. Well, he was, but he was also independent and self-dependant. He could take care of himself, and he did so well. He lived on his own, and didn't have any problem with it. He worked and he studied, and although he wasn't an expert in any field, he got by. Kevin was happy with himself. Although he was lonely some times. He was alone again. He tried not to look at the clock, but he did so anyway. He had fought off two minutes of waiting. Hurray! Rising to his feet, he brushed himself off, running a hand through the black fur on his head. No matter who he did, his fur was always a mess, sticking out at all the wrong places. Not that it mattered really. He didn't care, and those he spent time with didn't care either. His phone rang. Kevin jumped, the loud ringing in the empty hallway catching him off guard. He reached for his cell phone, idly wondering who would be calling him at this time. It was Lucy. She was always nice to him. Kevin felt safe around; she was like a big sister. "Hey, Lucy," he said as he flipped his phone open. "How are you doing, Kevin," she asked. Normally, Kevin didn't bother asked that question when it was asked. Everyone asked that all the time. No one really cared what you said though. He knew, he had tested it. "Nothing much," the panther answered. Nothing much as usual, he thought to himself, and then he chuckled. "I guess that means you haven't heard from Julian," Lucy asked. "Not really surprised." Kevin shrugged, which seemed to be a weird thing for him to do, since Lucy couldn't see him. "My guess is that he's still showering after practice." "God, with the amount of time he spends in the shower," Lucy said, her voice trailing off. "He always has to look his best." "And that's a bad thing?" Kevin asked with a grin. Lucy laughed. He loved making her laugh. He loved making anyone laugh, and he was pretty good at it. "It will be if he's late. We've got a movie to catch." Kevin looked around, glancing up at the clock. "Well, not much I can do for you." "Are you coming with us?" Lucy asked. "Not sure what we're going to go see yet, but you're welcome to come if you want." "Naw," Kevin answered shouldering his backpack as he started pacing up and down the hall. "I wouldn't want to get in the way of any...serious business..." "You pervert," Lucy said sarcastically, laughing again. "What do you think we're going to do, have sex in the theatre?" "You never know," Kevin said, laughing a little himself. "You know what, that's not a bad idea," Lucy said. "Listen, could you do something for me?" "Shoot." "Can you go get Julian, and remind him that if he doesn't hurry, we're going to be too late for any showings, and if that happened, I'm going to kill him with my bare hands?" Kevin's ears dropped. He didn't want to go in the changing room to get Julian. He much rather stay out here and wait for him. "Sure," he said. He couldn't say no to Lucy. They were too close friends, and he wouldn't let his unease get in the way. "Thanks. Tell him to call me as soon as he can," Lucy explained. They said their goodbyes and Kevin hung up. Looking up at the clock one more time, Kevin started pacing again. He didn't want to go in there, but he knew he had no choice. He was just hoping there wouldn't be too many people. If there was one thing he couldn't take right now, it was a bunch of sweaty, naked guys showering together. Something about that seemed so...right... Kevin shook his head. Now was not the time. He had to find Julian and that was exactly what he was going to do. Hefting his bag on his shoulder, he pushed open the changing room door, gagging on the billowing cloud of steam that emerged, and then stepped in. * * * "Well, that was a waste of my time," Robert said, dropping his racket and bag heavily on the floor. Julian laughed, peeling off his shirt before tossing it into his locker. "You just need to learn to move faster." Robert laughed as well. "Oh yeah, that's going to change anything. What I need is a new training partner, one that doesn't woop my ass with his eyes closed." "That would be too easy. You don't want that," Julian answered sarcastically, running a hand through his coppery mane, undoing his braids. The tiger snorted, stripping down before making his way to the showers. "You could at least give me a chance. When was the last time I even got close to beating you?" Julian threw the rest of his clothes into his locker, following after Robert with a grin. "Well, there was that time in September, just a few weeks ago." The tiger spun around to face the lion, his face etched with mock, sarcastic shock. "What? You were delirious with fever, and you still beat me. I'm telling you man, I need to find a new sport." "Hey, whatever you want to do. You know your one of the best here." "Second to you." Julian shrugged, turning on one of the showers before stepping into the jet of hot, welcoming water. "Nothing wrong with being second." "Can you cut the noble bullshit," Robert said with a smile, slapping Julian's back hard. Julian retaliated with a weak punch to the tiger's gut. "You can be so preachy sometimes," Robert said between chuckles. "Hey, you're just mad because you lost again," Julian exclaimed, soaping up his fur, keeping a watchful eye on his friend, not wanting to be attacked and caught off guard. "Trust me, I've gotten used to it," was Robert's reply. The two friends continued to shower in relative silence, occasionally bringing up moments of their previous games. Robert spent most of his time pointing out moments when he could've scored, had the circumstances been different. Julian spent most of his time pointing out how wrong Robert was. "Maybe you're right. Maybe tennis just isn't your game," Julian said after a while. "You should stick to simpler things, like kickball, or tag." "You little bitch," Robert said, and they both laughed. A little more time passed. The small-talk continued, but it wasn't too long before Julian realized that Robert was getting somewhat distant, not really focusing on what they were talking about. The lion glanced over at his friend, noticing then that something, he wasn't sure what, had aroused the tiger's attention, amongst other things. Robert was rather well endowed. It wasn't really something he could hide. "Hope you're not thinking of me, buddy," Julian said with a grin. Robert glared at him, "Yeah, you wish." "Haven't been getting any since your break-up with Kim, I gather," the lion ventured. He knew they had split only a few weeks ago. "Yeah, and it's been tough," Robert said, his voice trailing off. An awkward silence came over the two of them for a few moments before Robert cleared his throat. "Um...you don't mind if I...deal with this, do you?' Julian shrugged. "Go for it. Just don't aim in my direction." Robert laughed and nodded, wiping up a thick lather of soap in his hands before sliding them down his body, gripping his semi-hard member, rubbing it to life. Julian did his best to ignore him, focusing on washing his mane, which was enough of an effort in itself. Eventually, though, when Robert started to whimper in growing, orgasmic delight, his hand moving rapidly along his stiff pole, it became difficult for Julian to ignore. "So..." Robert said weakly, his voice a little shaky, "You and Lucy...doing something to...tonight?" Julian nodded. "Yeah, we're supposed to be going to catch a movie. Shit, I think I'm already late. She probably tried to call me already." Robert swallowed hard. "S...sounds like fun. Lucy's a great...unh...great woman." The lion looked over to his friend, smiling and shaking his head at the sight of the tall, athletic tiger hunched over, one hand pressed against the shower wall, the other stroking himself off. "You better not be thinking about my girlfriend over there." "And if I am..." Robert whispered, chuckling deeply, his voice sounding husky and laden with lust. "I'm just going to have to rip your dick off," Julian said seriously trying to sound as menacing and dangerous as he could. It was hard to play a good joke, though, when his audience was busy jacking off. Robert wasn't even listening. "...fuck...", he whispered, repeating it over and over again. His head fell forward, his tongue hanging out. He was really close, even Julian could tell, but something was missing. "Uh...hang in there," Julian said, trying not to get too involved. This was a little weird, although he and Robert had known each other for a long time, so it wasn't that bad. They'd seen each other naked and even horny before. This was a little bit more, but what was a little awkwardness amongst friends. "Shit, man...it's been...too fucking long," Robert whispered. He was starting to sound a little confused, a little hazy. "I...I can't...not alone...oh man..." Julian looked over at him. Robert really looked like he was having trouble, and he didn't blame him. In a serious relationship, even after a bad break up, it was tough to satisfy yourself. Without that special body-to-body contact...there was always something missing. "You should probably calm down," Julian said, stopping his shower. He turned to face his friend, who was visibly trembling. "You really need to get yourself another girlfriend." "Fuck, Julian," Robert hissed between clenched teeth, throwing his head back, his eyes tightly shut. "I'm so...so close...I can't...I...I just..." Julian shook his head and sighed deeply. Oh well, what WAS a little awkwardness amongst friends. Moving towards his friend, Julian pressed a single hand against the tiger's back, tugging him closer, pulling Robert into a tight hug. Robert moved silently, wrapping one arm around the lion's broad shoulders, nestling his head on Julian's chest, still stroking his meat hard and fast. Julian held him close, rubbing one hand along the tiger's back while the other stroked the back of his head and neck. "Come on, buddy, just relax," Julian whispered softly into Robert's ears, feeling the tiger's body shake in his grasp, his breathing heavy and deep. Robert grunted in reply, hugging Julian even closer, the lion and the tiger pressed chest to chest. He was panting now, his lips pulled back in a feral snarl. He gripped Julian's back, his claws grazing the lion's skin, almost piercing the flesh. Julian ignored this as best he could, thinking to himself that he was only doing this to help a friend, that he would want the same thing if he was in Robert's place...maybe... Julian got very little warning. Suddenly, Robert's eyes snapped open, his mouth falling open as he moaned, and then the lion felt something thick and hot splatter all over his abdomen. The tiger groaned again, and another wave of warm seed hit Julian's body, most of it clung to his fur, slum of it dribbled down his legs. He tried not to think about it, still holding on to Robert, who panted hard, trying to regain control of his breathing. A few moments passed, and then Robert slowly pulled away, blinking his eyes back into focus. He ran a hand along his face, coughing uneasily as he looked at the mess he left on Julian's body. This was a little weirder than he had anticipated. "Thanks, man," the tiger whispered, not really sure what to say. He was spent. Julian could tell that this alone was enough to drain his friend. Someone would sleep well tonight. Alone, but well. "No problem," Julian answered. He wasn't quite certain what to say either. Robert rubbed his neck restlessly. "I...uh...think I'm gonna get going." Julian nodded. "Yeah. I'm just gonna wash up again, because of..." The tiger pointed at the lion's cum drenched chest. "Yeah, because of..." he started, his words trailing off. "Yeah," Julian finished for him. "Do you want me to...uh...help?" Robert asked, uncertain if that was the right thing to do. Did anyone know what to do in a situation like this? Julian didn't answer before the tiger reached out a scooped up a sizable blob of his cream, smearing a lot of it into Julian's golden fur. "No...I'll be fine," Julian said, and Robert let his hand fall, glad he didn't really have to get any more involved. "Okay then...uh...I'm gonna go. I'll see you next time," Robert said, turning to make his way out of the shower. "Yeah, you go get yourself a girlfriend," Julian said, hoping his attempt a humor would expel some of the tension in the air. "If you think I'm going to let you cum on me again just because you're single, think again." Robert laughed, a genuine albeit nervous laugh, and then he turned away, leaving the cum-sodden lion alone in the shower. Turning the shower back on, Julian soaped up once more. He was surprised at how long it took him to wash Robert's cum from his fur, but after a few minutes of rigorous rubbing, he was completely cleaned. He was just glad to be the last one in the shower, or he would have had a lot of explaining to do. He wasn't overly concerned about his friendship with Robert. They had been through embarrassing moments before. The next time they met, it would be just like it was, as if none of this had ever happened. That was the advantage of having such close friends, Julian thought to himself. They could forget things together. Julian didn't know it yet, but his relationship with Robert, with anybody for that matter, was about to take a turn for the worst, and that had nothing to do with what had just transpired. * * * Kevin followed the corridor into the locker room, trying not to let the thick steam get to him. This was a little warmer than he was accustomed to, and he couldn't understand how anyone could take this heat. It didn't make sense to him, but then again, that wasn't the only thing that didn't make sense. As he turned another corner, Kevin had to duck to side as someone else emerged from inside. Kevin recognized one of Julian's friends, a tiger by the name of Robert. Robert seemed a little confused, but he nodded towards Kevin, looking his way when the panther came to a stop. "Something wrong?" Robert asked. He really was a handsome feline, Kevin thought to himself, trying hard to shake those thoughts from his mind. This wasn't the time. "Uh...have you seen Julian?" Kevin asked, hoping he didn't sound too nervous. To the panther's surprise, it was the tiger that seemed more nervous than him. "Eh...yeah, he's in the showers. He should still be there." Kevin opened his mouth to speak, but Robert just nodded and turned away, disappearing outside with only a quick goodbye. Kevin shrugged, not too certain what to make of that. What did it matter when Julian was doing in the shower, and what Robert had to do with it? The thought was strangely arousing. Fighting back his rampant imagination, Kevin shouldered his bag and continued in. To be continued...
