Mommy is home! Chapter 10
Alright, my next chapter, another filler chapter, and I get to inform you that my writing of this series will be temporarily on hold so I can write a story for the endangered species contest :)

I stretched as I woke up in the morning, two months into my pregnancy and I was only bulging out slightly, barely noticeable yet, to anyone that didn't know how skinny I was. Zakai and my dad were teasing me about how fat I was now.
I walked downstairs, scratching the back of my head, only wearing boxers and my sweatpants like normal. I walked into the living room and froze, realizing that my dad wasn't alone. "Oh, uh..." I looked down at my chest and said, "I guess I should go uh... put a shirt on."
My dad chuckled and said, "It's no problem Leo, you apparently don't know who this is."
"Who is it?" I said, quirking my eyebrow at him.
The woman looked hurt and she stood up and opened her arms to me, "You don't even remember your own mother?"
I looked at her in shock and her face rushed back to me from the past. The last time I had seen her I was eight years old, a long time ago. I rushed into her arms, wrapping my arms around her and her arms wrapping around me, squeezing me tightly. "Oh god mom," I said quietly, "I missed you so much."
"Well," she said, "I'm here now. And I won't be leaving anytime soon."
I smiled and said, "Good, dad's been getting a little lonely at night."
My dad blushed and said, "Well, carrying you up to bed seems to keep me busy most nights."
"Carrying him to bed?" she said, raising an eyebrow, "Is he really that lazy? He is pretty chubby," she said, poking my belly.
I giggled slightly and said, "There's a reason for that."
My father clapped his hands together, obviously he hadn't heard me, and said, "So! Breakfast time, what do we want?"
"Same as always?" I asked, raising my eyebrow at him.
"Pancakes and bacon?" he asked.
I smiled and said, "Eggs and toast too."
He nodded, "Eggs and toast too, is that alright with you?" The last part was to my mother.
"That sounds wonderful." she said, smiling.
He stood up and smiled before walking to the kitchen. I sat down next to my mother and leaned into her and she smiled. "I'm glad to have someone besides Seth doing this. He hasn't done it in years though." She sighed, "He needs to stop growing."
I smiled up at her and said, "Dad says the same thing about me."
"Dad says what about you?" my dad said from the doorway, "I heard "stop growing" so I'm assuming that's what it is? You do need to stop growing."
"But if I stop growing," I said, "I'll never be out of your fur!"
"Who said I wanted you to be out of my fur?" my dad said, quirking an eyebrow at me.
I shrugged, "I just assumed."
"Well, assumptions come back and bite you in the ass," my dad said, smiling.
I smiled back and said, "Well then, maybe I will stop growing."
He chuckled and said, "Breakfast is ready."
I stood up, stretching as I did so and I rubbed my belly, before I walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table. My dad set a plate down in front of me, twice the size as the other two plates, and I smiled at him before taking a bite of eggs. "Jesus christ Leo, no wonder your so chubby."
I smiled at her and said, "Maybe that's why, and maybe not."
She sat down, smiling at me still, and my father set a plate down in front of her. I was using my fork like a shovel and taking large bites at a time, and by the time my mom and dad were halfway done with their first plates, I was well through my second plate. "Jeez Leo," my dad said, "You're eating almost as much as Zakai does."
"Zakai eats more than Leo?" my mom said, "He must be a nightmare."
I smiled and said, "He can be. You just have to know how to deal with him."
She smiled and said, "That's the way with all teenagers isn't it?"
"Mostly, there are a few who are completely cooperative with their parents without being treated a special way." I said, "It just happens that those are very, very rare."
"Yeah," my dad said, "There are probably about three in the entire world."
"Maybe in the state, not the world though." I said, smiling at him. We ate in silence for a moment before I said, "Oh, which reminds me, Liz and Aly are forcing me to go with them to the mall later on today. And you know Aly dad, I have no choice."
He grimaced, "No choice at all."
"Aly?" my mom asked, "is she...?"
"Just a friend mom," I said, smiling at her. She obviously hadn't caught that I was gay, from the question in her voice.
She smiled back and then said, "So, why is she forcing you to go to the mall with her?"
"She likes my opinion," I said.
"Don't know why, Leo has no style." he said, grinning, "I like it better when he had orange fur, but noo, he had to get it died black."
"Why did you die it black," my mom said, looking at me.
I shrugged my shoulders, "I wanted black fur."
"I think you would look better with orange fur," she grumbled.
I smiled and said, "Apparently, so does dad."
"Yes I do, now, finish your breakfast so you can do your chores." he said, grinning at me.
"Chores? What are these chores that you speak of? I have never heard of such things in this house." I said, grinning at him.
He blushed softly and said, "Well, you're going to have more to do around this house if you're going to be lazy all the time. You don't need to lay around and get fat."
"Not like it isn't going to happen anyway," I grumbled at him.
My mom looked at me curiously, but the subject was put off again by my dad saying, "Well, I wanted to go furniture shopping later on. Our couch is cremated by me sleeping on it so often and I need a queen sized bed if your mother is going to be sleeping with me."
She smiled and said, "Well, we might need a king sized bed..."
"I don't think so!" he said, "A queen sized bed costs enough, but a king sized would almost break us."
She smiled and said, "Ok."
He sighed and shook his head and said, "Still love to spend money I see."
"Dad," I said, "all girls like spending money. It must be on that extra X chromosome that they get."
"If that's true," she said, "Then skull thickness must be on the Y, because men are always stubborn as hell."
I blushed softly and said, "I'm not THAT stubborn."
My dad ruined it by snickering and I glared at him. He grinned and said, "Sorry son, but you are nowhere near 'not that stubborn.'"
My glare continued until he sighed and said, "Come on, we have a busy day ahead of us."
I smiled and said, "Yes we do."

When we got home later on, Zakai was waiting on the doorstep, leaning back against the door, twiddling his thumbs as he waited. I grinned and plopped into his lap, he hadn't realized we were there, and he jumped. "Oh," he said, blushing, "I didn't hear you pull up."
"Obviously," I said, grinning at him as I pulled him up.
My mom walked up and saw Zakai and said, "Is this Zakai? Is this the little two foot boy that I haven't seen since he was five? This big, handsome young man."
Zakai blushed deeply and said, "Maybe."
"Oooh, his voice is deep too, almost as deep as his father's." she said, grinning wickedly.
I smiled as she opened the door. I led Zakai in, explaining why my mother was here, and he grinned and said, "That's wonderful."
I sat him down on the couch and sat next to him, leaning into him and nuzzling into him. My mom walked into the room and froze, my dad bumping into her back. "Why'd you stop?" he said, looking past. "Oh, a shock, eh? He doesn't ACT gay or anything."
"Well uhh," she said, rubbing the back of her head, "I uhh." She looked at my father and said, "I don't think I can live with a gay son."
"What?" I exclaimed, "You didn't care about Zakai's parents when we were kids, and you didn't care about us kissing when we were five!"
"That was different, you were kids then and didn't know what it meant," she said, "but this... I had to accept his parents because if I made you two stop being friends you would have hated me. I can't live with a gay son."
The door opened and Sim walked into the living room, freezing when he felt the atmosphere in the room. He smiled at me then looked at his mom. Dad was standing by me, arms crossed across his chest. "I don't care what you can't live with, Leo isn't getting kicked out."
I stood up and put a paw on dad's arm, "Dad, no, I'll go live with Zakai." He was about to protest, but I cut him off, "You deserve to love someone dad, and it's been years. You can still see me on Saturdays."
He sighed and said, "Are you sure, Leo?"
"I'm positive dad." I said, standing up and pulling Zakai with me. Sim looked between me and my mother.
"I'll take you there, since you don't have a ride," Sim said.
My mother glared at him but he stared her down. I smiled and said, "Thanks, Sim."
He smiled and walked back out the door. I walked upstairs and Zakai helped me gather stuff that I really wanted to keep, and leaving everything that I didn't need. He growled as we walked towards my door, "Forcing you out of the house you've lived in for more than eight years after she comes back."
I sighed and waited until we were outside to say, "Hun, my mom is obviously... odd. It's not her fault, she just believes in something different. I'll still get to see my dad, and my mom will come around eventually."
He sighed and said, "Yeah, I know."
I got into the back seat of the car as my brother sat down in the driver's seat and turn on the car. Before he started moving he turned around in his seat and said, "Listen, Leo, I could care less if mom hates you, I still want to hang out with you."
I smiled and said, "Well, I'd love to hang out with you too. There's not much we'll be able to do though, because I'm pregnant."
He gaped and then shook his head. "Shouldn't be surprised I guess, considering who you're dating."
I grinned and said, "Yep, it is who I'm dating. This big, strong, hunk of a hybrid right here." I patted Zakai's arm and then kissed him softly on the lips. "I love you." I said to him.
He smiled and put his arm around me and said, "I love you too."
"So..." my brother said, "Do you guys know any other gay boys? Preferably my age."
I grinned and said, "So, you're gay too eh?"
He blushed and said, "Not fully. I'd say I'm a six out of ten with ten being the gayest and one being the straightest."
I grinned and said, "If you must know, Zakai's cousin Alex is your age, and his uncle Horen."
"Don't forget Garret and Marty," Zakai added in.
"All dragons?" Sim said, looking at us in the rearview mirror.
"No, Garret, Marty, and Horen are adopted. Garret is a white wolf, like my mom, Marty is a bear, and Horen is a tiger." Zakai said.
"Well, Alex is adopted too, but he's a dragon." I said, "A green dragon."
"And he's single?" Sim said in shock, "Jeez, normally greens ALWAYS have a boyfriend or girlfriend."
"Alex isn't like other green dragons. Not very many people like him," Zakai said.
"Well," Sim said, "if you can hook me up with him and we like each other..."
Zakai smiled and said, "I'll call him tonight and ask him if he can come over anytime soon."
Sim smiled and said, "Alright, now where am I going?"
Zakai grinned and said, "Turn here." Zakai continued to give directions until we were parked in Zakai's driveway. "Thanks for the ride." Zakai said.
Sim smiled and said, "Thanks for helping me get hooked up with someone."
Zakai smiled and said, "Never hurts to help out family."
Sim grinned and said, "We aren't family yet."
"We will be." Zakai said.
"Talk to ya later Sim," I said.
"Bye." he said.
Zakai and I watched him pull out of his driveway and Zakai sighed as he shook his head, "I still can't believe your mom kicked you out."
I sighed and said, "Neither can I, but like I said, she'll come around eventually."
He opened the door for me, forcing his way through with my trash bag of belongings. "Still," he said, dropping the bag, "you've been living there for eight years, and he comes in and kicks you out.
Raymond looked up from doing the dishes when we walked through the kitchen and said, "What's in the bag?"
"Leo's stuff," Zakai said, "his mom moved back and kicked him out."
"What? His father let that happen?" Raymond said angrily.
"No," I said, "he was going to give up living with her so I could stay, but I didn't want him to, so I let her."
Raymond shook his head and said, "You're too nice."
I smiled and said, "My dad deserves someone to share his bed, not just a son."
Raymond shook his head and said, "He's willing to give up his life for you, and you know that."
"I do know that," I said, "but he still deserves someone who loves him like I love Zakai."
Raymond smiled and said, "Yeah yeah yeah, go put your stuff up in Zakai's room. Dinner should be here in about fifteen minutes, and I expect the rest of the kids to be home soon."
I nodded and Zakai followed me upstairs. I sat down on his bed and he dropped my stuff before sitting down next to me and putting an arm around me, pulling my head onto his chest. "Hun, I know you want to cry," he whispered, "so do it."
I looked up at him and he gave me a reassuring smile and then I buried my head in his chest, letting all the tears I had been holding back go. He squeezed me to his chest and said, "I love you Leo."
"I know," I sniffed, "I love you too."
He squeezed me again before standing up and saying, "I'm going to go help my mom with dishes, I'll tell you when dinners here."
I nodded and laid down on his bed, resting my head on the pillow and sighing.

Edited: March 20th: Fixed Sim's name, originally I called him Sim then changed his name to Seth and I fixed that. Fixed a few minor grammar errors I found. And I guess I should tell you guys that Carol and Ron adopted Garret and Marty after Gideon and Raymond moved out. They decided that their house was empty :P
