I was running down a vacant street. I heard car horns behind me but I kept running. Someone was shouting saying "get back here." I didn't know where to run. I looked at the street sign and realized I was only 3 blocks from home. I heard an engine reving out being me. I was running to hard to look. When I saw headlights to my left and saw as a black van rammed into my side.

I woke up shaking really bad. I noticed Forest was awake and looking at me worried.

"Are you OK?" (Forest)

"Yeah I just had a nightmare. What time is it?"

"It's 5am, at this point we might as well stay up."

"OK what do you want to do?"

"Well we can start with you telling me what that nightmare was about? What's got you so worried?"

"It was weird. I was just running from some cars. The street was abandoned except for the people chasing me. Then out of nowhere a van hit me from the side and I woke up."

"Well what caused that dream?"

I honestly had no idea. I wasn't worried about anything when I went to sleep, at least nothing that would cause that type of nightmare. I didn't even know what to tell Forest.

"Come on you must have some idea." (Forest)

"I really can't think of anything."

"OK. Want to go get a snack?"

"I could go for some cheese it's."

We went down to the kitchen and snacked while we talked about everything that has been going on. I still had a bad feeling about that dream, and it made me question this whole military program. I talked with Forest about my worries. We went back on fourth on the topic for an hour, throwing out a lot of different ideas about the whole thing.

"If what Ms. Star said it true then we'd all love to help, but I can't stop thinking she may still be lying. She already lied about the training bullshit." (Me)

"Yeah I don't like the idea that countries are building up these kinds of forces. Ever since the arcane generation came the world has never gone to war for fear of the collateral damage it would cause." (Forest)

The arcane generation was nearly 150 years ago. It's what the world has named the coming of abilities to the world. No one knows how or why it happened, but when it first started about twenty percent of all babies born started to develop abilities. The percent went up with each passing year, and eventually it became odd if you didn't have an ability. People feared what a war could do to the world with the power of some abilities. The most powerful ability is by far the control over reality, only about point one percent of the population has such ability. The ones gifted with such have often become outcasts in this world, people fear what could happen if someone lost control of that power. I fear that me and my brothers may have that ability. Arcane reality control is not what it sounds like, it gives the user the ability to alter reality yes, but only in a very small distance of their body and only for short time periods. Reality control can still be insanely power in the wrong hands and people have never wanted to test how much destruction it could bring.

"I can't believe that anyone would ever want to risk starting a war. That's what has me worried." (Me)

"I don't think anyone is willing to start an all out war, but I don't think small battles for the right purpose are out of the question either." (Forest)

"I still don't like the idea of it"

"Of course, I don't think anybody does. That's why this is kept so secret."

"Yeah I guess so. Hey I'm kinda scared."

"why?"

"Well I'm scared that me and my brothers have arcane reality control."

"Oh shit, I didn't even think about that."

"I mean it could be a possibility, we have control over a lot of abilities we haven't even used yet, reality could be one of them."

"That's something you guys are going to have to test, Scary as it you need to know."

He made a good point. We have to know all of our powers to be able to function to the best of our ability.

"But how do you even test something like that? I wouldn't even know where to begin to activate a power like that, let alone control it safely." (Me)

"You would have to do it at that safety room in the military facility."

"That's the only way we'd know for sure." (Farren)

Farren came around the corner when he said that. Me and Forest were shocked he was there.

"Have you been spying on us?" (Me)

"No, I just woke up a few minutes ago and I could sense your thoughts so I came down here and caught the last of your conversation."

"Oh, well what's your opinion?"

"We need to know if we have the power or not, and that goes with every other power that's known. We need to know what our limits are."

Me and Forest both agreed with him. I had a thought of testing one thing at the moment.

"Farren come fuse with me."

He was already on his way over, he could sense my intention and wanted to know as well. We fused and I looked into Forests thoughts to see what he was thinking.

"Forest grab my hand."

He reached for my hand and in a bright flash fused with us. I didn't feel any power rush like when I fused with my brothers.

Wow so this is what it's like. I never thought that would work. (Forest)

I honestly didn't think it would work either. But it seems like fusing doesn't increase our power like it does with our brothers. (Me)

It would be crazy if it did. (Farren)

Still a great way to have people experience different abilities. (Forest)

Wait for it. (Me)

I lifted myself into the air, in my left hand I created an illusion of a horse running. I brought my right hand up and lifted a kitchen chair into the air. I turned and flew to the front door and unlocked and opened it with telekinesis. I flew out into the open air and made a few laps around the house. I went back inside and then defused with Forest and Farren.

"that was incredible. It felt so intense to have that kind of power." (Forest)

I heard my brothers and mother start to wake up, and realized it was almost time for school. We all got ready to start another boring day.
