I stopped by the jewellers and found the perfect ring, it was silver and the diamond in the middle was surrounded by little emeralds. It was stunning, my heart warmed just thinking about it. I bought it using my jobs pay and smiled brightly. Tonight was going to be the best night ever I walked out of the store smiling to myself.
I jumped into my car driving down the road, it was almost five, the grass would have been cut and the house cleaned. My little love would be lying on the couch watching his favourite fashion show. I pulled into the driveway, and smiled getting out and turned around bracing myself for the little black cat tackle me in a hug.
Only... he didn't. I shrugged, maybe he fell asleep or didn't hear me drive in. I grabbed my gun and walked into the house.
"Im home my little love!" i smiled calling out.
The house was silent, nothing, not even the heater was on. I walked through the house now gripping my gun.
"Derrek?"
I walked up the stairs using the pads of my paws to muffle the noise of my footsteps. I looked around, he was nowhere. There's one more place i needed to check, if Derrek needs to go out or had a gig he always let a note on the fridge.
I walked back down the stairs a little faster this time. Something just wasn't settling with me, i was afraid. Where had my little lover went? I don't know what i would do if he ever got hurt. Then i saw it, on the fridge was a little piece of paper with a sign of two bullets crossed inside a circle. Dread spilled through me
"no... no."
That was the sign of the Talon Company. The sign of the most dangerous assassin company in the world, and the sign that i use to wear. They had wanted me to join them again, but the one thing that made me leave was the one thing that held me back. Derrek, before i just didn't care about life. But now i have something to lose, and if i don't find them soon. I will have lost it. The screen of the TV flicked on.
"Hello Ryu Hawkeye" a unforgettable voice said "smile, you are on camera."
I slowly turned to see the one the only Stao, he is a African American human with eyes the colour of tree bark, he had black hair that was nearly shaved it was so short, and he was very muscular but thin. Two other assassins walked up behind him carrying a beige bag, something in me told me that i did not want to know what it was.
"Hawkeye we would very appreciate if you would rejoin us."
I spat at him "Never, i am done with your company and I'm done with you!"
"i wouldn't be so quick to pass your judgement," he smiles in the way that i just hate "i think that u will reconsider."
Just as i was about to reject him again the two assassins opened the bag duping out the little cat furry that i fell in love with, he was all tied up and in his robe. They pushed him to my knees and my heart skipped a beat.
"Why don't you give him a taste of what is to come boys?" he said smoothly.
The two assassins nodded and at the same time they smashed my little Derrek with their guns repeatedly, leaving gashes all over him. He thrashed and his screams of fear were muffled by a bandana. I chocked back a sob and my knees buckled, i sank to the ground.
"No....no don't hurt him. DONT HURT HIM STOP!"
Stao lifted up his hand. "Let's hear what he has to say."
The two men stopped beating Derrek leaving him in a puddle of blood.
