Deep in the ancient Caledonian forests of Northern Scotland on a sunny spring day, a bipedal red deer fawn ran laughing through the forest in glee, the weather had eased no longer cramped in the hut with nothing to do he revelled in the open spaces sprinting and leaping off fallen logs only to skip over another with unmitigated glee,
Not far away a feral wolf of grey coat with a black furred head and off white chest carefully stalked this unsuspecting fawn noting where it was heading before moving off stealth fully
The Fawn sprinted through a small pond disturbing the ducks present in it as they quacked in annoyance taking to wing, the fawn looking back laughing in excitement before calling back "Sorry!" though the ducks cared not for apologies as their quacks changed tones from annoyed to alarm trying to warn the fawn.
For they in flight saw the wolf lying in wait just off the fawn's unsuspecting path as he rapidly approached the trap.
The wolf heard the ducks alarm and watched as the fawn failed to notice this ancient sign of danger and continued to approach in moments he was in striking range and attacked leaping from cover and tackling the fawn to the ground.
The fawn giggled at the silly ducks before a massive weight impacted him from the side knocking him to the ground, as he landed on his back there was the feel of sharp teeth upon his throat and he stared eye wide in fear into the blue eyes of the wolf that had captured him.
The wolf growled and released the fawn's neck before licking his face profusely in affection
"Gah! Dad... bah Yuuuuck!" the fawn bleated before the wolf stepped off and changed into an anthro wolf
"Elapus, How many times must I tell you to be mindful of your surroundings? There ARE real wolves here that would have just as easily made a meal of you just now."
"But Daaad you came out of nowhere! How was I to know?"
"Ely, the signs of danger were ever present, I was up wind of you, you should have smelt my wolf scent and known there was danger and did you not notice the ducks calls of warning moments ago?"
Ely froze "yes sir... I did hear the ducks try and warn me."
The wolf licked his son lovingly on the muzzle
"Good, that is a start, now come you mother has made us lunch"
"YAY!" Ely shouted with glee before once again sprinting off carefree into the woods
the wolf frowned shaking his head slowly "When will that kid start to learn the world is not a safe place?"
As the wolf heard the carefree breaking of branches departing through the forest in between excited giggles he lowered his head and sighed before resuming his wolf form then quickly catching up to follow close behind Ely his scent and stiff posture a warning to any other predators to think twice before making any move against his fawn.
in a secluded clearing a small log cabin sit from the forest came an Anthro red deer doe toned from living out doors with the hardships that go with it but relaxed and it seemed that everything around her was at peace and in balance in the warm sunshine, placing some sticks in a stone circle she whispered a word as the sticks ignited into flames before she hung a small cauldron from a green stick above it as it steamed she placed some fresh leaves and herbs in it as it began to boil she set it to the side of the fire out of the flames to allow it to simmer gently.
She gave it a stir before lifting the wooden ladle to sample the brew, her ear twitching as a smile formed on her face before hanging the ladle on the green stick as the sounds of giggling and cracking foliage grew louder before her fawn erupted in a dead sprint free of the forest to leap into her arms laughing followed by her mate appearing at the forest edge then shifting to his anthro form before approaching.
"Mother! I was attacked by a savage wolf!"
the does ears flattened and she frowned at her mate who's own ears flattened as he looked sheepishly at her before shrugging
" Bidziil!" she growled
Bidziil approached "It was a valuable lesson had it been a real wolf instead of me he would be another lunch."
Ely giggled before he bleated in pain as his mother bit his ear
"Elapus! You know better than to cause trouble!"
"Eeek! But mother?"
"No Buts!" she chided
Bidziil collected three bowls from the nearby table handing them to Ailidh who released Ely before taking one of the bowels and filling it with the vegetable soup she had brewed before handing it back to her mate Bidziil then filling the remaining two bowls handing one to Ely who quickly took a mouthful before crying out in pain as the hot soup singed his lips
"Ely! You have to wait for it to cool a little first remember?"
Blowing air through his muzzle in an attempt to cool his burning lips Ely nodded "Sorry! I forgot" he said before giggling some more.
Bidziil and Ailidh chuckled warmly at their silly fawn before carefully blowing and sipping the soup in the bowls
"Ailidh, I will never understand how you make these plants appealing to my pallet."
"My love I keep telling you nature will provide we do not all ways have to take from her to survive."
"I know my love, I know, one day I will understand but for now I am content to enjoy this delicious meal you have prepared."
With that they settled down Ely following his parent's example and cooling the soup before taking small careful sips.
The sun fell low before sinking beneath the horizon for another day, inside the cabin the flicker of light from a beeswax candle illuminated the bedroom as Ely was carefully tucked in by his mother while his father watched from the doorway holding the candle. Ely's energy depleted from the day of over activity he fell asleep the moment his head hit the pillow of soft dried lavender bushes before his mother kissed him gently on the forehead before backing away and exiting with her mate.
"He'll be a strong stag one day" Bidziil says as Ailidh exits the room
"Aye, he will, but that is many seasons away yet and for now he can enjoy his innocence under our care."
Bidziil pulls his mate in close hugging her tightly inhaling her scent shuddering in the duel pleasure of a predator with fresh prey and with the love and trust of his mates scent as she puts her cloven paw behind his head pulling his muzzle down into a long kiss before pulling away slowly
"I love you beyond life itself" Ailidh said softly nuzzling the shoulder of her mate as he closed his eyes lowering his muzzle over her shoulder pulling her tight "and I you now and for ever"
**
a precession of hooded men entered the village, the lord of the town frowning as they approached
"What do you vultures want! You've already tried nearly everyone in this village looking for your suspected Witches" he snarled at them
the one in the lead pulled his hood back revealing his scarred face with a wicked grin he produced a parchment and handed it to the lord.
His eye widened as he read it "no... No! She's my Sister NO! YOU CANNOT I WI..."
the lord falls to the ground convulsing as the feathered shaft of a crossbow bolt protrudes from his chest
the hooded figure stands upon the lords porch a boot upon his back "By The Tribunal of the Holy Office of the Inquisition I declare that Lady Gwenda of the shire is charged with the crime of being a witch she will be tried at dawn for her crime and may god have mercy upon her soul."
Inside Lady Gwenda heard this and in rush collected her books and manuscripts into a heap concentrating and uttering a word quietly as they burst into small green flames before quickly dying into fine ashes.
The door burst open as four of the hooded men enter and drag her up off the ground
"Take her to my tent we have things to discuss" the scarred one sneered as Lady Gwenda shot him a look of defiance.
inside the tent the walls lined with broken runes etched with silver thread Gwenda realises in here she is cut off and cannot use Magic's even if she were forced to go against her code she is strapped upon a medieval rack before the scarred one enters checking the restraints before turning the wheel taking up the slack around her wrists before leaning close and whispering
"this is your one chance to tell me all that you know, knowledge of others in this place, unholy creatures, witches I want them all..."
Gwenda eyes widened at the knowledge his statement revealed before she screamed as the wheel was turned and the ratchet clicked twice.
"Very well, you had your chance..."
for hours the screams came from the tent until just before dawn she could take no more and told them everything she knew, Of her friends in the forest their fawn everything...
*
They moved through the forest their armour clinking as the cart rattled behind the horses, in the front a figure in ornate robes placed her hand upon the ground and runes flashed green upon the trees before fading to black smouldering scars upon the trees
"It is as she said. Their wards are now broken they will have no forewarning of our coming."
"Excellent Agatha, I'm glad the white witches joined our ranks you have advanced us much by exposing the dark witches like Lady Gwenda to us sparing the needless loss of further innocents"
Agatha's evil grin went unnoticed as they advanced closing in on the cabin.

nested tightly in bed smiles on their faces Bidziil and Ailidh slept peacefully until a loud knock at the door and the booming voice snapped them to alertness
"By The Tribunal of the Holy Office of the Inquisition I hereby order you to surrender and exit the building!"
Ailidh's eyes widened in horror Bidziil hugged her close "Wait here keep Ely quiet and out of sight" and he concentrated and changed to his human form throwing a skin poncho over his body before opening the door.
The man took a step back not expecting to find a human here the witch had told them there were beasts living here not people, perhaps that woman had lied to them.
"Good Evening sir" Bidziil stated humbly bowing before the scarred man. Keeping his head lowered he continued "How may I be of assistance to the holy tribunal good sir"
the scarred man stammered "Err I'm deeply sorry to have disrobed you we heard there were unholy beasts living here."
Bidziil stayed low "A common tale around these parts, While true at least in the part that there are beasts here such as bears and the like but they are gods creations not what one would call unholy..."
the scarred man regained his composure "how long have you lived here?,
Bidziil replied, "I have lived here for 5 years I lost my wife and son to a bear attack 2 years ago I have been here alone ever since" as he sniffed a fake tear
"I'm sorry to have disturbed you child, please accept my apologies, Let's Go! The information was wrong"
as they turned and began to leave there came a clatter and a giggle followed by a harsh whisper from inside, Bidziil eyes widened as his body tensed
the scarred man stormed up to him "I thought you said you were al..."
the scarred man's head fell to the ground Bidziil clawed hand dripping blood as he shifted to his anthro form
"WAREWOLF!" someone cried Bidziil cringed slightly at that incorrect term as he leapt to the side of the porch as several silver crossbow bolts embedded into the logs of the wall behind where he had been he circled their flank using the darkness to his advantage tearing out a throat or two as he found them exposed. Before a frightened bleat caught his ear and he turned looking at the doorway as his mate and fawn were held at sword point.
"Surrender or watch them die!"
Bidziil growled back "They die and every last one of you will follow only much more slowly I promise you that!"
there was a ripple of uncertainty through the men as conflict and indecision threatened to break their ranks before Agatha stepped forward dropping to the ground driving her hands into the earth as tendrils of dark Magic's lanced through Bidziil body wrapping and binding his very bones locking him in place as he slowly tilted then fell locked in posture to the ground, he could only watch as his mate and son suffered the same fate before they were bound in irons and secured in the cage in the wagon before being taken away, as the dawn broke Bidziil Ailidh and Ely saw the valley that was their home bathed in orange streaks of light one last time before the wagon crested the hill in the road and descended the other side...
Days pass the entire time they remained bound Ely unconscious Bidziil weak tongue swollen from dehydration but unable to break the bonds even to speak, Ailidh managed to break free of the Magic's long enough to utter a single word
"water..."
the caravan stopped
"You there!, when was the last these beasts were watered? They are of no use to us if they arrive dead!"
Agatha bellowed form the front
"Err... I... I thought tha..."
Agatha stormed up to the man though slightly shorter she looked at him with distain eye eyes narrowing and voice cutting through him like a red hot knife
"FOOL! Water them immediately! Or I will water them myself with your own blood in its stead!"
The man cringed and instantly grabbed a pail then running over to the nearby stream returning with it sloshing water as he lifted Ailidh's head Agatha lessened the Magic's restraining her head enough for her to move her muzzle and swallow
"no... my fawn first.. Please I beg of you."
"Very well, YOU heard her the fawn first!"
"but he is unconscious"
Agatha's closed fist smacked his head into the cart, as he stumbled to the ground she picked up the bucket before roughly lifting the fawns muzzle by the throat, Ely's lower jaw dropped down before she poured the water, the fawns throat worked to swallow the water rather than drown despite his unconsciousness. Before Agatha let her hand go Ely's head smacking on the cart the slight trickle of blood as a tooth cut his lip on the impact.
Agatha kicked the dazed man dropping the bucket on his head
"Refill that and tend the other two. So we can leave and get home!"
Wincing the man rose "Yes... milady." Before picking up the bucket and fulfilling his tasks

the convoy continued for another week the trio were freezing still bond by Magic's are unable to shiver in their bodies natural response to generate heat if both Bidziil and Ailidh knowing full well their fawn wasn't in a condition to cope with this weather even before they were captured and they both feared for their fawn though at least they had been repositioned such they could at lease see each other.
The cart jarred to a stop arriving at a wooden bridge on a dreary day amid fog and pelting cold rain, to an island in a bay upon which stood an old stone castle.
One of the men sighed
"Ahh Castle Eilean Donnain, we are home at last!"
The precession was met with men from the parapets looking down in shock and awe at the soaked captured beasts bound on the cart as it rolled through the outer gate. They had heard the tales in their youth of such creatures, but it was dismissed as legend and fantasy. No longer would it be so, for now all had seen and all knew the truth that these beings existed.
"Take them to the dungeons and secure them with the silver restraints" Agatha commanded as she stepped inside.
the men rolled the frozen bodies off the cart allowing them to fall to the ground in a heap before dragging them by whatever limb was closest down a damp poorly lit stone corridor to a room lit by torches with silver manacles upon heavy iron framed racks as they were dragged to a rack each an bound as Ely was shackled last the silver burning his flesh slowly Agatha stepped in the doorway holding a hot cup of tea savouring her favourite beverage after a long journey, seeing the beast were secure she twisted her hand releasing the Magic's binding them as they instantly slumped in the restraints putting more weight on their bonds wincing in pain, except for Ely who was too weak to open his eyes breathing coming in gasping breaths
"Ely... Hold on... We're here."
Bidziil spoke for the first time in weeks voice raspy throat dry through a cramped jaw
"Good work men, get some mead and rest you've earned it, I will deal with these later."
and with that they all cheered and quickly left the room for the beer hall Agatha sneering at Ailidh as she glared at her coldly before closing and locking the silver backed door.
Ailidh waited till her ears confirmed there was no one near her then acted quickly her eyes flared green as she drew her own Magic's focusing on Ely to restore his health before it was too late. The effort taking a toll leaving her panting but Ely slowly groaned opening his eyes before crying out in pain as the silver bonds burned him.
"Ely! Remain still it will hurt more if you struggle." Bidziil commanded firmly
Ely didn't listen fighting the bonds having never been restrained by anyone or anything before he couldn't comprehend it.
"ELY! STOP!" his mother's voice shocking him and freezing his movements before he relaxed sobbing
"Mother Father Where are we what will happen to us?" he wailed
"We have been taken prisoners for why I do not know and what will become of us I also cannot say, But for now we must endure."
Bidziil focussed drawing all his strength to pull on one of the restraints in an attempt to break it free but though they creaked they remained secure and unyielding.
Bidziil concentrated shifting to his human form, it was difficult with the silver burning his flesh but once done he had just enough room to free first one hand then the other and open the ankle restraints.
He raced to Ely and tried to remove the shackles but found them to be locked as too were Ailidh's
his mate slumped the toll of the Magic's showing clearly, Bidziil spotted a bucket of water near the door and brought it to his mate
"Here drink this"
Ailidh moaned weakly as Bidziil gently lifted her muzzle before cupping the water in his hand and letting it trickle down his fingers into her mouth as she swallowed weakly. Before he moved to Ely and carefully let him drink from the bucket before taking a drink himself
Bidziil tries the door but it burns his flesh and he goes back to Ailidh shifting back to his anthro form lifting her to ease the burn of the restraints pulling against her weight and pulling her close to keep her warm as she recovers, it is all he can do for the time being.
Hours later Ailidh awakens to her mates arms under hers supporting her weight.
"Bidziil?"
"Hush my love, Ely is fine for the time being he is sleeping, what you did took a toll of you and your need of me was greater than our sons."
Ailidh smiled kissing her mate before her ear twitched, Bidziil's pricking forward too
"They are coming."

Agatha had enjoyed sleeping in her own bed once more, the down a divine respite after her travels of roughing it on beds of moss and branches. She awoke at the dawn of a new day refreshed as commanded
"SERVANT! MY TEA THIS INSTANT!
there was a rushed flurry of footsteps outside her chamber as the servant leapt into action just as Agatha finished putting her under garments and her formal cloak on there came a quiet knock at the door
"Enter" she said simply before the door opened and a servant produced a hot pot of tea upon a polished silver platter with a side plate of two hot bread rolls and freshly churned butter.
"Why are you still here? BEGONE!"
The servant quickly bowed and departed as Agatha ate one of the rolls stepping to the look out the window at the bay fog obscuring the hills as a storm brewed...
another knock at the door broke her revere "What is it!"
"Mistress?" came the voice from the door
"Ahh, the new initiate welcome I trust the journey was no bother?" Agatha replied as the young teenaged girl entered the room.
"No mistress no bother at all." She said keeping her head lowered in respect
Agatha poured a second cup of tea offering it to the initiate who accepted it and sipped it quietly before she resumed looking out the window
"Today is a glorious day for our coven, we have proven our worth and secured our future."
the initiate smiled nodding in agreement with her mistress before finishing her tea, Agatha put the cup down then moved to the door
"Come let us find out what we can"
a servant quickly holding the door open as they walked through it and proceeded down the torch lit hall to a locked door, opening it they proceeded to the guard room Agatha motioning for 6 to follow as they collected their swords and crossbows then headed for the dungeons.
Bidziil paced in indecision, his ears telling him it was at least 8 coming and based on last time that witch would simply immobilise him while the others moved against his fawn still 8 he might be able to deal with 8 and get the keys free his family.
Agatha sensed something was amiss and stepped past the door motioning for the guard to open it.
AS the door swung open the guards head flew free from his shoulders crunching against the wall as Bidziil raged form erupted into the corridor hidden in the shadows Agatha waited hidden as he tore through another two before she twisted her hands the dark tendrils once again freezing his bones in place as he fell muzzle first into the stone floor lower jaw cracking at the impact as he inwardly winced.
"Get that mutt back in his bonds. Properly this time and you get the others in here." Agatha commanded indicating the initiate to summon the guards.
Bidziil could only watch as he was dragged back to the rack and this time the manacles were refitted and a spike hammered through the openings in them before having the ends hammered over to prevent them being easily pulled free.
Satisfied Agatha released the Magic's that bound him and his weight pulled on the restraints the spikes shifting through flesh before coming to rest against bone.
"That's better, now tell me, I want to know all you know of other unholy beasts like yourself."
Bidziil leaned forward eyes defiant as he growled out
"We are closer to the gods than the likes of you will ever be, may they take pity on y... ARGGGH!"
Bidziil screamed as a silver spike was driven into his side Agatha's eyes wide in rage.
"TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW!"
Panting Bidziil replied "I have spoken the truth it burns you deeper than your vile metal could me."
Agatha's eyes calmed "Interesting suggestion, TURN HIM!"
Two of the guards stepped forward pulling a pair of bolts from the base of the frame allowing it to pivot over a hinge at the midpoint suspending Bidziil upside down.
"The truth burns me deeper than Silver could burn you? So you claim"
Bidziil gritted his teeth through his broken jaw as a burning pain erupted from his groin
"Let us test that claim." Agatha stated as she watched the coin slowly burn and descend through the fur of his upturned groin.
Hours pass with Bidziil defiant jaw clenched shut less he say something to dam the others.
"Perhaps a little motivation is needed?"
the rack jostled as it was turned he tilted his muzzle to see the wet muzzle of his mate as the tears streamed down her fur his resolve faltered as a tear fell from his eye to the floor seeing the pain this was causing his mate he was about to break but Ailidh shook her head slowly from side to side unseen by the others her eyes glancing at Ely who for the time being was staring wide eyed in horror but Bidziil never looked at his fawn not wanting to expose the key to his silence.
more hours pass until at dawn the following day the silver coin having burned into his body boring a tunnel through it, Bidziil coughed blood through his clenched jaws as the coin burned through one of his lungs before it began searing against his rapidly beating heart
Bidziil's eyes softened as looked at his mate with the deepest of love, their gaze meeting conveying more in the precious few moments than words ever could he allowed the tears he had held to flow free before the coin finally burned into his heart stopping it cold, at that moment the light in his eyes began to fade as he departed this world.
Agatha sighed "Useless bag of fluff!" she snarled
"Come let us rest we will return later to continue this."
the door slammed closed the lock snapping into place as they departed down the hallway Agatha smiled hearing the doe break wailing at the loss of her mate.
Ailidh couldn't hold her distress any longer, waiting till the moment she heard the lock snap closed her features contorted twisting in pain as her head tilted up and she wailed her grief, Ely broken from his stunned shock by it blinked looked at his father's lifeless body then to his mother then back seeing the last tear fall from his father's half closed eyes he spoke
"Father?" Ely asked
nothing...
"FATHER NO!"
Ely looked to his mother, her eye lowered in sadness as tears dripped from her soaked muzzle.
"Mother? Why won't father answer me? Why?"
Ailidh wailed and struggled against the restraints desperately trying to get free just to hold her fawn, to share the grief and to feel the warmth of a loved one to draw comfort from, the restraints burning in the repeated attempts tears streaming as she cried...
*
That evening they returned
a bloodied coin laying on the floor having completed its journey through Bidziil, Ailidh and Ely having cried them self's to sleep at some point awoke at the snap of the door lock opening.
Agatha entered the room noting the coin on the ground
"Burns through me more than silver you said? Well now I'm not the one with a hole through his body."
Turning to Ailidh "I see the loss of this beast troubles you, good. Now I ask you tell me all that you know."
Ailidh looked at her fallen mate's lifeless corpse her resolve steeled as her eyes narrowed in defiance glaring into Agatha's own.
"Oh I see you're going to do this his way are you? Very well then."
Agatha moved to the rack Ely was on running her hand down Ely's flank before turning back noting the look of defiance had fallen replaced by a look of horror on Ailidh's muzzle.
"Too late beast I know this one is your weakness"
"No! I'll not talk Never!"
Agatha stepped over and bent down picking up the silver coin from the floor
"Come now, are you sure?"
Ailidh eyes were wide the look of horror upon them
"Hmm perhaps a demonstration?"
Ely screamed
Agatha pressing the edge of the coin into the flesh above his shoulder dragging it down slowly as it scraped and burned through his soft flesh
"NO!" Ailidh screamed jostling the rack slightly across the floor
Agatha turned facing her as she continued dragging the coin down Ely's shoulder smiling maliciously
"Oh I think yes... Tell me and I'll end you both quickly refuse and well..."
Agatha glanced towards Bidziil
"No! You... you wouldn't he's just an innocent child he has done no wrong he couldn't even if he tried!"
Agatha flipped the rack over Ely crying more as the silver restrains burned at him
"None of your kind are innocent..."
Ailidh heard Agatha's words, her eyes looking in horror as Agatha began to lift the coin. Desperation drove her, her mind spinning trying to find something ANYTHING that could save Ely out of nothing something came to her mind a spell mentioned long ago. her mind flashed with the incantation words she had never known vivid in her minds eyes as she focused searching for Magic's then drawing them all into herself chanting the words over and over as the Magic's flooded her body to overflowing Agatha too distracted by the sick pleasure of watching Ely suffer didn't notice the tremor in the air as Ailidh charged Magic's rapidly.
Agatha turned from the doe looking at the crying fawn "vile creature I do the world a service this day" she thought then noticed something odd the coin in her fingers glinted a dull green that rapidly grew brighter before she hear four loud snaps and the clatter of metal hitting the ground.
Looking at the source her eyes widened in shock the metal restrains on the ground melting and boiling in a sea of angry bright green flames that surrounded the doe, the doe's eyes pits of emerald green fire as her teeth were bared in an angry snarl
"MEN ATTACK!" Agatha cried as she brought her hands up summoning the dark Magic's to bind the doe but they were repelled the magick's Ailidh summoned too power full as the cracks in the stone floor filled and turned green quickly spreading throughout the rest of the castle.
The men entered the room at first stunned before they opened fire with their crossbows, the bolts not able to penetrate the wall of flames.
one of them saw Ely and took aim
Agatha recoiled trying to get clear of the heat
Ailidh heard the cocking of the crossbow and looked as the bolt loosed moving quickly she put herself between the bolt and Ely as it dug into her side
More men entered the room loosing more bolts most were unable to get through the odd one hitting the bench or somewhere non critical on Ailidh who at last was finally able to reach Ely his restraints melting before the flames though Ely felt nothing but a warm glow like a sunny day upon his fur as Ailidh picked him up eyes closed holding him tight rocking him gently in her arms
one of the men approached sword drawn the initiate saw the stones in the castle glow and raced to see what was happening looking down the corridor into the open room she saw her mistress against the wall fearful as a green ball of untamed fire burned in the middle of the room within it she could see the form of Ailidh and Ely and the guard approaching drawing his sword back for the finishing strike despite his curios beginning to smoulder at the flames before him.
the world slowed Ailidh pulled away from Ely looking down into his eyes smiling as tears fell down her muzzle
"Ely my son, you must go on without me."
"Mother?"
"One day you will understand and I hope you will forgive me there is but one thing I can do now to save you these people will not stop hunting us"
"Mother?"
Ailidh hugged him close as the sword began to fall kissing him on the forehead and side of the muzzle her tear soaked muzzle wetting his own
"Never forget I love you my son, your father loves you and we will both watch over you and be with you always"
Now Ely's eyes widened as he saw the sword moving in slow motion inches away from his mother's neck as the guard wielding it had small flames dancing upon his arms a grimace of pain on his face
his mother hugged him tight and at the moment the sword made contact with the fur of her neck there was a bright green explosion of light and fire, the initiate saw her mistress crushed against the wall in the room from the force of the Magic's releasing, the fire incinerating everyone in its path. it washed over her burning her deeply as the force of it propelled her from the corridor out into the castle courtyard, every brick of the castle glowed bright and shook the magic's having replaced the mortar and elevating the individual blocks as the flare burned the mortar, with a boom the castle caved in upon its self, there were short screams of terror as the people inside were crushed only the initiate and a hand full of others escaping, the initiates robes still burning as she screamed tearing them off.
