Reflections
#1 of Reflections
Heyo! this is the prologue for my story, Reflections! It will see the main character, Riheal, going through obstacle after obstacle to find out the truth of whats happened to him- how did he end up in this unknown land. Surely, this will be a journey that will lead him to many self-reflections about himself, and the world as he currently views it. Maybe it will even lead him to a place he can call home?
(Oh, and it will definitely get kinky in more ways than one, if that sort of thing is up your ally too ;) )
Prologue
A small buzz breaks through the silence of morning sleep, dragging a golden furred dog out of his comforting bed.
"Fuck, again? Really?" said the dog, glancing down at his morning wood. He sighs, fighting off the primal urge as he quickly puts on a pair of boxers from his dresser, followed by a blue pair of jeans. Opening a separate drawer, he rummages around until he finds a teal shirt, sporting an image of a silver sun. He quickly pulls it down past the chub on his stomach and straightens it out until he is finally content. Window shades leak in rays of the morning light into the college dorm, as the dog grumbles. He tidies up his comforter, brushing it off and throwing away any wads of toilet paper that fell out as he shook the blankets. With that action reminding him, he quickly opens his smartphone and closes out most of his browser history. While going through the back and forth motions that come with teeth care, he uses his other paw to hastily comb and brush his frizzy and out-of-control fur.
"This shit is becoming such a hassle as of late, I should really consider booking an appointment at a barbershop or something". He looks down at his crotch for a moment, then shakes his head. "Yeah, I suppose that could use some maintenance of its own- but not right now. Dick care is not something that should be super prevalent right now, especially not today". His phone lights up quickly while resting on the kitchen sink
"Riheal, Don't forget about today. I hope your ass is at least out of bed". Riheal sighs, sliding his phone into his pocket without much of a second thought.
"Obviously, how could I forget when my laptop is covered in sticky notes; not to mention the constant barrages of messages I'm getting from you".
The end of the fall semester had been growing near for quite some time now, only adding onto Riheals ever-growing stress. He could typically relieve stress through hookups, masturbation, etc- though it was only ever a temporary fix. Slipping his paws into a pair of sandals, Riheal reaches out for a shark tooth necklace, notable for the chipped end of the tooth. Taking one last look at his small dorm room, he thinks about how depressing it all seems. Riheal never really did consider himself depressed or anything, though.
"It's hard to take into account interior decorating when I have so much going on". Another thought enters his mind.
"When I get back today, maybe I can go out and look for some posters. Maybe those LED lights a lot of college students seem to rave over?". That thought exiting his mind, Riheal follows by stepping out of his dorm, allowing silence to once again flood its dimly lit space.
Considering the time of year, the weather did not feel too terribly bad for Riheal. A cool breeze ruffled through his fur causing him to shiver just a bit.
"Damn, having second thoughts about not grabbing my jacket before heading out today" Riheal thought, fiddling with his bike's padlock. Other students were abroad and on the move, similar to himself. Students exciting their dorms, heading in various directions. Riheals dorm, being the one home to most of the universities sophomores, was an older building compared to most. Its once vibrant green walls fading from the season's onslaught, leaving a puke green color. Along with chipping paint, the 4 story tall building had seen better days. The sophomore dorm wasn't uncommon to traffic, though considering the time of year many students are attempting to fit in last early morning study sessions, or even simply heading to the library to see their materials alone. Riheal eventually freed his bike, gearing up for the 15-minute ride to his destination. Kicking up the bike stand, Riheal was blazing off towards his usual route via bike trail. It was a well-kept trail, many of the typical luscious green trees and bushes reduced to their orange fall counterparts. The sky was clear, and the sun peeking over the horizon directly in front of Riheal made for a great view. As the sun washed over him, his maroon bike glistened. The late-night began to creep upon him. He began to yawn, letting out a quiet whine.
"I haven't learned my lesson one bit. If I'm not playing video games or watching some shitty movies, I'm stroking myself to shady hook up apps." He sighs, picking up speed. Riheals eyelids droop, causing him to quickly jerk up out of the sudden stupor. Before long, though, he once again found himself dozing off. It felt heavenly, to just let his eyes rest.
"Before long this day will be over with, and I can go home and relax". The bike picks up even more speed.
"Mmm, I think shrimp scampi sounds good for dinner tonight. So long as it's not from the god-awful meal plan I had to sign up for before moving onto campus."
Riheal was officially passed out, dreaming of a time when the stress of school and his future were no existent. Summers of staying with friends, and going swimming at community pools. Riheal wasn't very good at swimming, opting more for just floating around and letting the water take him where the water wanted. A familiar feeling indeed; even more so now that he was completely submerged underwater. Riheal began flailing about as he was being dragged deeper and deeper into the water
"Wha- what the fuck?! There isn't a body of water for 10 miles of this damn campus" Riheal thought, his mind begging to truly panic. His paws frantically searched for something, anything to grab onto. But nothing. Not even the bike he had just been riding. It was as If he was dropped right in the middle of an ocean, with no way to signal for help. Oxygen was fleeting, as the flailing began to subside. Riheal simply did not have the energy to go on, especially not with the sleep he had already been lacking. Just as in his childhood, he let the water take him wherever the water may wish. And, the water did just that. The water took him exactly where it wanted to.
