Chapter 3: What I Learned From the Past
#3 of When I Learned the Truth
Hi, here's chapter three. I couldn't sleep so I decided to finish this up. There is yiff, but it's only a little bit of it. The first person is switched to Sammie towards the beginning when we're talking about his past in 8th grade and then at the end it switches back to Jack. I hope you enjoy it! if you're not blah 18 blah 21 blah, don't read or you'll be sued!
Markus looked up towards the ceiling and started off by saying, "It seemed like an ordinary week, but so much had changed and I still see it as if it was yesterday..."
(Sammie's Past)
It was a normal Thursday at Lucoston Middle School. I was happily strolling through the silver and yellow hallways of the school, heading off to my math class. Today would be my fourth date with Michael. I just couldn't wait. He was going to pick me up after math class and take me on a romantic trip. I didn't know the details, he wanted it to be a surprise, but I could already tell what the handsome husky would do. I walked into my math class, my smile still never fading. The teacher noticed, "Well, don't we look cheery. What has gotten you so happy Sammy?"
"Michael asked me out again." Mrs. Jay was probably the only person at this school who knew about my orientation. She was so cool about it, she even told me about her daughter liking girls. Ms. Jay was, ironically, a blue jay. She wore glasses right on her beak with beads attached around her neck so they wouldn't fall off. She was wearing a black dress with a blue top decorated with three necklaces, each with a single locket on them, each one containing a picture of her family, her husband and her two daughters.
"Four dates all ready? Must be serious." She never lifted her head from her desk, she was grading yesterday's test. I kept on smiling and sat down in the back. The bell started to ring and the students started pouring in. Mrs. Jay never called on me, she knew how happy I was and it also helps that I'm so far ahead in this class. She wouldn't even care if I left early, which I did.
I waited outside the entrance of the school, waiting for the familiar green minivan that Michael drove. As if on cue, I spotted the green minivan pull up and park right in front of me. I jumped with glee and opened the passenger seat to his car. He pulled me into a kiss and I kissed him back. The husky wore the school's football uniform; we were having out big game coming up soon. On the uniform was the school name with his number on the back as well as his full name. It read "Michael Richard, 37", which he found out later was his favorite and lucky number. Along with the jersey, the husky also wore some light blue jeans that were ripped at the knees. "Hey Sammy, you ready for tonight?"
"In a minute hun, think you could drop me off at home? I have to let my mom know where I'm going." He nodded and understood how my mom acts when I'm gone for too long. She was one of those worrying mothers, always reminding you to brush your teeth kind of mom, but she was sweet. I was one of those lucky sons who came out to their parents and had accepted who I was. Michael parked right outside my house. An emerald jaguar was parked out, but the other car was gone.
Huh, I thought, dad must still be at work.
I entered the house and smelt something delicious and mouth watering coming from the kitchen. Mom was baking cookies, her famous peanut butter cookies. I walked into the kitchen and saw my mom bending over to grab the cookies out of the oven. Once she stood up, I got a good look at her. She had long black hair that flowed free. She had markings similar to mine; it was where I got my umbreon part from. She wore her favorite apron that day, a picture of the crescent moon and the whole color of the apron was a deep blue with stars all around. Under the apron I could tell she wore a red poodle skirt and a sleeveless pink shirt with another poodle on it. As she placed the cookies down on the hot pad on our kitchen counter, I hugged her from behind, made her jump a couple feet in the air as well. "Hi mom," I said.
"Hey there Sammy, I was wondering when you'd get home. Got any homework?" I looked up at her face; she was easily still one foot taller than me.
"Of course not, the homecoming game is tomorrow and then there's the homecoming dance on Saturday, the school and everyone else needs to get ready." My tail kept on wagging, my mom suspected something.
"You're going out tonight, aren't you?" I nodded. She knelt down and looked at me in the eyes. "Look, I'm going to have a little talk with you about sex." My eyes rolled around. I can't believe I was having this talk with my mom. "I just want to talk to you about this because this is where your father and I went all the way. Even though you're into guys, you should still use a condom. You never know when someone can be unclean." She talked about this for some time, I drifted in and out. I hated to keep Michael waiting, so I just told her "ok, ok, ok," for every question. I dropped my backpack off, my mom had slipped a condom into my pocket just in case, and I left back to Michael's car.
Michael told me to close my eyes, but he didn't believe me when I told him I would, so he put a scarf around my eyes. When he parked the car, he took the scarf off, but he wasn't on the driver's side. He picked me up and told me to open my eyes. I saw a blue and red checkered blanket which was on a hill. I looked past the hill and saw a beautiful sight, the town lighted up by a sunset. Everything seemed perfect, but one thing was missing. "Hey hun, where's the food?"
He looked down at me and chuckled. "Well, I've got some meat in my pants; will that be good enough for you?" I practically jumped out of his arms and nodded. He always did like my mouth around his penis. We stood there for several minutes, waiting for one of us to make the first move. He approached me and wrapped his arms around me. He leaned down to my small form and kissed me on the lips. He slipped his tongue in my mouth, exploring every inch of it. He broke out kiss to lift my plain white t-shirt. I then lifted his shirt up and kneeled down, licking his crotch through his blue jeans. I unzipped his pants and saw that he had a wet spot forming on his boxers.
"You getting excited for me hun?" He nodded to my question. I unbuttoned the flap of his boxers and his cock flung out and slapped my muzzle, smearing pre cum all over it. I opened my muzzle and took his red canine pole into my mouth and sucked on the head. His cock was a little over nine inches, but I could deep throat him pretty easily, and that drove him wild. I gripped the base of his cock with my right hand, giving it a squeeze. I made him moan, but I couldn't help but tell something was different this time around.
I shrugged it off and just went back to focusing on his meat. I placed my left hand on his dangling balls and started to rub them together, he moaned again, and I felt that same uneasy feeling. This time I couldn't shrug it off. I looked up and noticed he wasn't even looking down at me or up, but he was looking straight behind me. I took his cock out of my mouth and turned around.
I really wish I didn't.
Behind me were two jocks from school, and they were holding a video camera. They started to laugh and point at us. I felt scared and looked up at Michael for help. He picked me up and showed me to the camera. "See this Lucoston? This is what a fucking fag looks like!" I felt tears starting to build up. I wiggled out of Michael's grip and grabbed my shirt, making a mad dash to get the hell away from that place, crying all the way home.
I had just arrived home, slamming the front door behind me. The tears never did stop and I never bothered putting my shirt back on. My parents came to the front door and saw I was in pain. My mom comforted me while I told both of them what Michael and his two friends had done. It hurt me how Michael treated me, I was going to tell him I loved him. Dad told me he was going to call the school but I said that they wouldn't care; the homophobic level in this town was off the charts. I just went up to my room to get some sleep without dinner. I heard my parents talking about how they should home school me, or move somewhere else. I wouldn't care; no one would be my friend any more once Michael showed that video around school.
I must've fallen asleep because the next thing I saw was the bright sun in my room. My fur around my eyes had felt wet from all the tears from last night. I looked over to my alarm clock; it read 11:34 AM. I didn't get up, I didn't want to go to school, the kids would laugh at me, bully me, and the list goes on. My only friend in the whole school would be Mrs. Jay, but even she was busy and couldn't help me with this problem. I just went back to sleep, mom and dad wouldn't be home for a while and I didn't want to see anyone right now.
"Sammy, sweetie? Wake up please." My mom, her angelic voice. I woke up to the sight of her sitting on my bed. "You ok sweetheart?" I sat up in my bed and hugged her with all my strength, crying into her shoulder. "I know it hurts dear, but you'll be going into high school soon, a high school where none of those kids are going." I was glad to be going to Cynthia Hyde High; I knew I'd be protected there. I raised my head to my mom and she smiled, and I smiled. She always did make me smile even in the worst of times. "What do you say we go pick up some ice cream for dessert tonight?" I could feel my tail wag all ready. I got up from my bed and fell over. My mom giggled at how silly I acted. I asked her to go and get the car started while I changed into cleaner clothes.
I stepped out of the house wearing blue shorts and a blue button up shirt. I got into the passenger seat of my mom's car and she pulled out. We headed towards town when I saw Michael walking down the sidewalk with the other two jocks who had taped us. I felt my tears coming back. I held my face in my palms and just cried again. My mom could see my pain and leaned over, wrapping one arm around me and kissing my cheek. When she looked back up, a car in the other direction was speeding right towards us! She tried to swerve the car away from the other, but it was too late. The cars were too close! The last thing I saw was a blinding white light and the last thing I heard was-
CRASH!
Markus had gotten home early, since it was homecoming week, Friday had been the pep rally and everyone got to leave early. He walked into the kitchen expecting to find his wife, but instead, he found a note.
"Gone to get ice cream with Sammy, trying really hard to cheer him up. Love you, Savannah." Markus smiled and left the kitchen to the living room. He turned on the TV and the news was on.
"-go to Kevin Bakely on the street with breaking news."
"Thank you Tom, a car crash just occurred on the street of Treasure Lane. Citizens had seen a car in the wrong lane speeding towards this emerald jaguar. The driver is suspected of drinking while driving and will be pressed charges. The victims in the car have been sent off to Heaven's Hospital to be treated immediately, back to you Tom."
Huh, Markus thought, That car looks a lot like¬-
His thought was interrupted as the phone in his house rung. He picked it up. "Hello, Hyde residence this is Markus."
"Hello Mr. Hyde, this is Heaven's Hospital, you may want to get down here."
Markus busted through the doors of Heaven's Hospital. A young nurse approached him, asking him to calm down. "How can I be fucking calm?! My wife and son were in a car crash! Where is Savannah and Samuel Hyde?!" A lot of furs turned towards the screaming wolf yelling at the young nurse who coward in fear. A doctor, whose name tag read "Dr. Kingston." approached Markus.
"Mr. Hyde, I'm going to take you to your son's and wife's room, but you'll have to remain calm." Markus took a breath and followed the aging jaguar. Room 18 is where they stopped at and inside was Savannah and Sammy. Markus entered the room and stood in the middle, looking over both of their bodies. He noticed several cuts and glass shards on them. "I'm afraid the news isn't good Mr. Hyde. You may want to sit down for this." Markus took one of the chairs in the room and Dr. Kingston took the one opposite of him. "I'm not sure how to sugar coat this, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to get to the point. Your wife, as the other car was speeding towards them, she moved her body over your son to protect him. As a result, she lost her life. Your son, he may be alive, but the shock of his mom protecting him put him into a deep coma. He may wake up, or he may not. I'm so sorry to tell you this." Markus turned away from the doctor and looked over at his family.
"You're telling me I could end up losing both of them?" The doctor nodded. The jaguar got up and headed out of the room.
"We tried everything we could to save her Mr. Hyde, I'm sorry." He then left.
It was around 9 o'clock at night and Markus hadn't left Room 18 at all. Dr. Kingston and s few nurses came to take Savannah's body out of the room. Dr. Kingston allowed Markus to stay as long as he wanted for his son. The wolf had grabbed his son's hand, squeezing every now and then, waiting for any signs of life in his son. He did this every five minutes, and he was always looking at the clock.
10 o'clock, nothing.
11 o'clock, still nothing.
Midnight, nothing.
Markus was starting to lose hope. He didn't want to lose his son too. He was starting to feel tired and laid his head against his son's chest. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
I opened my eyes up. I could hear beeping and everywhere I looked, I saw white. I also heard a faint snoring. I looked down and squeezed the paw around my hand. "Da...Dad?" Dad woke up like he was just hit with a lightning bolt.
"SAMMY!" He hugged me tightly. He was chocking me slightly, but I wondered why.
"What happened dad?" Dad explained to me about the drunk driver and how I ended up in a coma. I also learned that two weeks had passed by. One thing bothered me though, someone wasn't here.
"Dad, where's mom? Is she ok?" Dad sighed and looked at the ground.
"Sammy...your mother didn't make it through. She gave her life, protecting you." I let go of Dad's paw. I couldn't believe what I heard.
It had to be a joke, right? No, Dad loved Mom to death; he wouldn't ever joke about this.
"Oh God...Mom's...gone..." I placed my head into my paws and cried out. The only person who I ever smiled around, the only person who was my reason to smile, and she was gone. I hugged Dad and cried into his shoulder. I opened my eyes slightly to see an aging jaguar in a doctor's coat in the doorway.
"Welcome back Sammy. It's good to see you are up. Please, always know that your mother loved you. She protected you, gave her life so you could live." I saw a little of my mom in that old jaguar. I smiled a bit.
Dad had taken me out of the hospital that very same day and took us home. There was no way I was going back to school, but I did need an education. Once we got home, I invited Dad to the living room. I wanted to talk about this.
"I don't get it Sammy; you want to be a girl?" I shook my head.
"No Dad, "I sniffled slightly, I was still crying over what had occurred, "I'm still going to be a guy, but I can't show my face around school. Didn't you and mom always want to have a daughter? I'm sort of like one." He nodded.
"And this could protect you from your sexuality, you know, until the guys find out you're a guy." I couldn't help but laugh over that, to see a straight guy being tricked into having sex with a cross dressing gay guy. "Ok, I'll call Dr. Kingston tomorrow about our situation, I'm sure he'll understand." I raised an eyebrow at him. "I saw him hitting on one of the few guy nurses." I had an "Oh!" moment, mentally laughing at myself.
After about a month of having people coming over and telling my dad he's sorry for both of his losses, yep, both losses. Dr. Kingston was able to pull some strings and was able to fake my death certificate. He also promised us he'd have a brand new birth certificate by May for when this whole thing is done with.
March and April passed, and soon May had come around. Dr. Kingston was a miracle worker. He gave us my brand new birth certificate. I was now called "Samantha Hyde", but my dad still wanted to call me "Sammie". Dad had gotten me some neat little outfits, from fashionable and fabulous, to skanky and whorey. I had to laugh at some of the clothes he got me, not really sure what TO get me.
The past school year soon ended and I went to Cynthia Hyde High for my freshman year and until my senior year. I walked into my first class of the day and stood up, introducing myself to the class.
"Hiii, my name is Samantha Hyde, but please, call me Sammie."
(Back to Jack)
"And that's the whole story Jack." My eyes didn't leave Mr. Hyde for a second. Wow, Sammie had gone through so much. I felt really bad. I looked over at Sammie and saw him looking back at me. "Ok you two, why don't you go home for the rest of the day. I think you two have some things to discuss." I nodded and got up. Sammie thanked his dad and left the room after me. We walked out of the school and were standing at the flag pole.
"So, now you know the truth." I looked at Sammie. He was staring down at his red boots. He looked like he may cry again. I moved over and wrapped my arms around him from behind. "You're...different. Normally after guys find out about me they go off and I never see them again."
"Well, maybe I want to be different. Sammie," I turned him around so he was facing me, "I'm sorry I ran out on you. If you'll accept it, I hope you would give me a second chance." I didn't wait for him to respond. I leaned in and kissed his lips. It was something I've never felt before. It felt different than the time at his house. I didn't know it then, but I would know it later on. I pulled away and he blushed.
"I'll take you up on that offer Jack."
