Snow crunches under each of my steps, my suits atmospheric systems keeping pace with Fichina's winter conditions, Miyu and Fox are with me in proper gear to match the planets snowy climate.

I say "All of this snow reminds me of home." with a smile under my helm and feeling comfort from Fichina's atmosphere.

Miyu says "How so?"

I say "Back on Earth I lived I lived in the north eastern part of the united states, we would get some crazy winters... but nothing compared to this though."

Fox says "Stay sharp you two!"

The synthetic feet of my suit continue to crunch the snow as we march on, from what I know there is a Cornerian outpost here that doubles as an environmental control system... and aren't responding to any transmission. The three of us have been sent down to investigate further, though from scans from the Great Fox there's no sign of an enemy fleet or ground forces and Rob speculates those stationed here are merely having their equipment become faulty. We come to a cliff, off in the distance is a hexagonal looking base with some cylinder-looking structures around it.

Fox says "Most of the base is underground due to the weather if you were wondering."

Miyu says "The lights are on, so somebody must be home."

I hear a light ping and I say "What was that?" as I look around.

Fox says "What was what?"

A light beep sounds, followed by another and another, each one louder and coming faster then the last, I yell "GET CLEAR!!!", but it was too late, an explosion happens behind us, the cliff gives way, we yell as we slide down the rock and ice. We finally stop at the bottom, metallic cartriges land around us and explode, revealing them to be flash bangs and emp's, my suit resets to it's standard set up, I feel something hard his my head and everything goes black.

I hear "Wake up!". my eyes instantly snap open to see Panther in front of me, I realize I'm no longer in my armor and confined to a chair, Fox and Miyu are to my left and chained to the wall and we look to be in some kind of storage room.

Panther says "Good, now we can get started!" with an evil smile.

I say "Started on what?"

Panther turns around, he goes over to a nearby table, I look to see where my plasma rifle had hit, Panther's suit has been patched up but along the spine a strip of metal goes all the way down the suit, I begin to try to break free but my wrists and ankles are tightly chained, I glance up to see Panther come back over with what looks to be a hammer.

Panther says "You've become such a nuisance, I'm just going to teach you a lesson in manners."

Fox says "Are you feeling mighty just because he's chained down!" with a heavy snarl.

Panther points the hammer at Fox and he says "Watch your mouth or you'll be next!"

Panther looks back to me, he swings the hammer onto my left forearm, I yelp and clench my teet as I feel muscle become bruised and bone being impacted.

Miyu yells "STOP IT YOU BASTARD!" screaming at the top of her lungs as she tries to break free.

Panther quickly strikes the right side of my head with the tool, my hearing becomes tainted with white noise and the vision in my right becomes blurry.

I hear Panther "Had enough?"

I look to Panther and I say "Do your worst!" with a scowl.

On that Panther strikes my left shoulder a few times, then my right foot and a heavy blow to my chest, each one ending with thundering strikes and spikes of pain. i cough violently, I want t scream but he won't get it out of me.

Panther says "Hmm, if this won't work I know another way to break you!"

I snear, I spit at him and I say "Fuck you!"

Panther growls, he slams the hammer onto my left hand to which I hold my breath as my nervous system floods with pain, he let's go of the hammer, his left hand grabs the back-right of my head, he spreads his right revealing his hidden, natural claws, he brings them closer to my face and suddenly one of his claws digs into the inner corner of my right eye, the pain instantly hits me but I try to keep myself from screaming.

I hear Fox "You son of a bitch!" as I hear his restraints rattle and Miyu "STOP IT!"

I can feel and hear the flesh around my eye rip and tear, I feel my eye begin to move, tension on the nerve begins to be felt until it finally snaps and with it because the pain has become so much I scream in pure pain. I look down as I begin to deeply breath, blood leaks from my now open socket, splattering the floor with a small puddle of wet crimson as Panther laughs at me.

I hear Miyu "You sick bastard!" with a venomous hiss and followed by Panther "Oh, I'm not done yet. Look up human!"

I look up to see Panther smiling with his teeth showing, he turns his attention to my severed eye, he puts it in his mouth and bits down on it, causing the eye to explode. he chews on it for a few seconds and finally swallows it with a gulp.

Panther wipes his mouth on his sleeve, he says "You brought this on yourself human." and he leaves the room.

Fox says "Adam, we'll get out of here don't worry, I'll make sure we get you to a medic!"

I hear "You rang?", I look to see a venom-affiliated medic come in with medical supplies, he says "Alright, let's treat that socket." and he begins to clean my open socket.

As he cleans, I faintly hear Miyu and Fox but I decide not to pay attention to them, instead I focus on what just transpired, seeing Panther devour my eye was horrifying, I know Panther hates me... but what would drive him to go that far? Time seems to have stopped as I just try to ignore the pain from my socket. A light knock sounds after the medic patches my eye socket, the medic tells the knocker to enter without looking, the door opens, Katt and Falco stealthy come in and Katt closes the door.

Falco draws a pistol, he aims it at the medic and he says "Freeze!"

The medic looks to the two in shock, I see an opportunity, I quickly lunge, I bite his carotid artery and rip it open, blood quickly spurts from his neck wound, the medic screams as he panics, he tries to stop the bleeding but he quickly crashes down and bleeds out. Katt and Falco become surprised at my actions, I completely face them, Katt covers her mouth and Falco just staggers.

Katt runs up to me, she kneels and she says "Adam, what happened?" as she begins to quickly work on my locks.

I look down and I say "P-Panther... he ate... my eye."

Katt gets the locks to release, she lifts my head up and she says "Can you walk?"

I say "No problem." and stand as I feel the nerves in my right foot.

Katt goes over to release Miyu and Fox and she says "When we lost contact we feared the worst."

Fox gets loose, he comes over to me, he places hand on my shoulder and he says "Are you okay?"

I say "For now, the medic gave me some morphine."

Miyu comes to me me, she quickly bandages my wound and she says "We'll get you properly patched up when we get back."

Katt says "We have to destroy their mainframe first though!"

I say "Why is that?"

Katt says "They know where Earth is!"

I say "What!" in shock.

Katt says "The hard drive, it revealed that they found the flight recorder to your shuttle and they've planed to hit your homeworld to try to exterminate your race! We don't know if they've copied the data or not but if this is true, then your kind will face it's genocide."

I say "Fox, she's right. We aren't prepared to fight extraterrestrials, if we don't intercept Mankind will be wiped out."

Fox nods and he says "Alright, Miyu you take Adam and get out of here, Falco, Katt and I are going to try to recover Adam's suit and more importantly destroy that mainframe."

Miyu nods, she says "We'll be in radio contact.", she grabs my wrist and begins to run.

I manage to keep pace with her, but her grip on my wrist is starting to numb my hand, I quickly review all that had passed... I decide to do something drastic, I have to get away from Miyu to do what I need to do though.

Miyu stops, she releases me and she says "Fay will have my head if I die here." as she begins to work on the key pad.

I look to my left to an empty hallway, I step down it, I hit a button labled 'gate' and a gate comes down, blocking the way behind me. I hear Miyu's muffled voice calling to me, but I ignore her, I feel my right socket twitch as I continue down the halls, I look to see an armory, I grab a pistol and run in search for my suit and the Intel the enemy has on Earth's location, I see a sign that reads 'Weapons Research', I barge in to see scientists and engineers examining my suits parts, they jump back, raising their hands as they get on their knees.

An engineer says "Please, don't shoot!"

A scientist says "Yes, just take your suit and go! We just got it in here, I swear!"

Their fear is radiating off of them, I can feel it with ease, I feel a sudden surge of anger, very cold anger, I raise the pistol and pull the trigger, each pull being followed by a loud bang and one of them dropping... until only one is left. I slowly step towards the lone engineer, whimpers take the air, I place the gun on his forehead and fire. I toss the pistol, I put my suit on, I activate my energy sword and plasma rifle, I use my weapons to destroy everything in the room, plasma burns through circuits and the energy blade cleaves through whatever it hits. Sparks from the ruined machines soon become the only sound, I have my helm form as I leave the room, I sprint down the halls, cutting down anything in my way, with finding Panther my objective.

I hear on my comm "Ada, what's going on? Where are you?" it's Fox.

I say "I've retrieved my gear and trying to cover the base." as I keep walking.

I hear Fox "Adam, your in no shape to fight! You need medical attention at once!"

I say "I just can't see to my right, I'll be fine."

I hear Fox "That's just it, your perception is effected which means you have to fall back and get patched u!"

I say "I'm sorry Fox, but I can't do that... not while Earth is in trouble."

I hear Fox "Adam, listen to yourself. I understand where your coming from, but fall back at once!"

An alarm rings, a large door drops down behind me in a hard thud, a squad of venom soldiers come up to me with their weapons drawn and telling me to stand down.

I say "That would be great if I actually could." and charge at the enemy squad.

The squad opens fire and swing my sword, just before my shield fails, the squad lays at me feet, slain as their dismantled bodies slightly twitch.

I hear Fox "Then find a way to evac, that's an order!"

I begin to weigh how my odds are, Fox is right, I don't know the layout of this place and the only direction I know takes me back to where Miyu is and I say "I'm heading back to Miyu."

I hear Fox "Copy that."

Using my sword I cut through the sealed doors to make my way back to a disgruntled Miyu.

My helmet unfolds and I say "Sorry about that..." embarrassed.

Miyu sighs, I can feel her anger coming off her, at this point I'm honestly expecting her to smack me, she says "Anyway..." while rolling her eyes "... Now that you have your suit, let's get out of here." and she gets into an elevator.

I tilt my head in surprise, I follow Miyu into the elevator, she hits the button and begins to move.

I say "How do we get out of here?"

Miyu says "We're heading to where they store fighters, we nab one and we're out."

I nod to Miyu, I look to a mirror-like panel, the wrapped bandage where my right eye use to be, I feel a surge of anger as my thoughts go to one person... Panther.

Miyu says "We'll get you an eye replacement when we get back."

I look to her to see she's eyeing me, she still looks steamed but she looks concerned as well, I say "I don't think I can be at the forefront...", I store my two weapon, the plates on my upper right arm move and shift and soon a type-51 carbine appears in my hands connected to the suit and I say "But I can still fight."

Miyu says "Just stay back and support.", she arms a machine gun and she says "And no wandering around!"

The doors open, Miyu takes the lead as my helmet takes form and I follow as I train my carbine down the hall.

Miyu says "What does that weapon fire?"

I say "Caseless radioactive ammunition."

Miyu's attention instantly snaps to me with a shocked look, Miyu shrugs as if a chill washed over her and we make it to a hanger with no issues, out of all the fighters here, one catches my eye instantly, it looks like a wolfen, the main body is purple, the wings are white and the nose is red and it looks like the design has been greatly upgraded.

Miyu says "A wolfen II? Looks like Star Wolf is looking to bring them back into service."

I say "But there's only one."

Miyu says "They were left to rot so I guess the others couldn't be saved, either way this thing must be destroyed!"

I say "Or... not."

Miyu looks to me and she says "What are you getting at?" with a raised eyebrow.

I say "Well... I do need a fighter."

An approving smirk appears on Miyu's face, she goes up to the fighter, she opens the cockpit, I hear her go to work, I hear something break, Miyu comes back over and she says "I've disabled the fighters i.d. system, which means the only signal coming from it will be your suits." with a smile.

I say "Hop in, we're out of here."

Miyu says "There's only room for one person, but don't worry I'll see you back at the Great Fox." with a smile.

I nod, I hop in the fighter, the cockpit seals, I activate the fighter causing it to come to life, screens turn on around me including under my seat and peddles, a rear view screen is on the dash along with many other small screens... in other words this thing is really advanced and unlike the other fighters I've seen this one uses cameras for sight rather then a traditional cockpit.

I say "Fox, I'm inbound for the Great Fox... I'm using a captured wolfen II."

I hear Fox "A wolfen II? Looks like you got your new fighter, though I'm sure Slippy or Amanda would want to examine it. Either way get back as soon as possible, Katt, Falco and I will wrap things up here."

I say "Copy that."

With that I leave the hanger, the advanced fighter effortlessly handles the arctic weather, I point the nose up, soon the fighter leaves the atmosphere with a venom fighter barely keeping pace.

I hear Miyu "Enjoying the ride?"

I say "More like having a blast, this thing is insane!" enjoying the craft.

Miyu says "Follow me in, let's get thing thing named and repainted."

I follow Miyu in, we land in the hanger, I exit the craft as my helmet retracts, I hear a loud gasp, I look to see Krystal in shock, she comes running over to me, she wraps her arms around me and holds me.

Krystal looks to me and she says "Hon, are you alright?" her lower lip quivering.

I say "I'm okay... I no longer have a right eye but I'm okay." trying to upkeep a smile.

Krystal's eyes look to the bloodied bandage and she says "What happened down there?"

Miyu comes over to us and she says "Panther ripped out his eye!" as she appears mad at what happened.

I say "And ate in in front of us." looking down in shame.

I feel Krystal pull me into her and I hear her "PAN...THER!!!"

screaming into the air with great anger.

I look up to see krystal's ablae with rage, her teeth showing and clenching her teeth and her eyes matching those of a fierce predator.

Miyu says "Krystal we're all upset about what happened, but right now Adam needs medical attention!"

Krystal takes a few deep breaths, she looks to Miyu, she says "Your right.", she looks to me and she says "Let's head to the med-bay, Rob and Amanda are there on stand by."

I nod and the both of us make quick pace to the med-bay, we step in catching Rob and Amanda off guard.

Amanda says "Adam, your eye." concerned.

I try to hide how frustrated I am, I understand everyones concerned abut me, but now it's getting annoying.

Krystal says "There's no time to explaine, he needs anew eye!"

Amanda nods and she says "Organic or cybernetic?"

I say "Which ever is the quickest to prepare and install."
