Intruder On Board
Flaming is a pilot transporting soldiers to a science vessel that had suddenly appeared outside of the space station before going completely dead. With no life signs and nothing else to indicate what happened the wolfdog believes that it's a simple ferrying mission only for it to go wrong.

It had been six hours since the derelict vessel had suddenly emerged from subspace outside of the Annelid Space Station, but after all manner of transmission attempts to get a hold of it the vessel remained radio silent. There was no engine power nor anything to their thrusters, which meant in all the time they had been trying to get a hold of it the only thing it was doing was slowly drifting closer to them. It was an odd sight to be sure and made even more so by the fact that scans returned with all manner of errors that those running them couldn't comprehend. Several of those in charge wanted to just blast the thing out of the sky, and for a while that had been the consensus of those in attendance until they finally got a read on the ship's designation.
"So a ship that went missing five years ago suddenly appears on our doorstep," the lizardman that sat in the copilot seat next to the wolfdog driving stated. "Not only that but it's unable to be properly scanned and also seems to have no signs of life, so the best idea that the top brass had was for us to go inside and poke our heads in? Can you believe this shit Flaming?"
"It's crazy Miles," Flaming replied as he watched his scanners while piloting towards the ship. Behind them were six security officers that would be doing the heavy lifting for them, they were just responsible for getting them there and that was just fine with him. "But perhaps you shouldn't be talking about it while the radio is on an open frequency."
The sound of chuckling behind him caused the lizardman to blush slightly and just sit back in his chair. As they got closer he got more active and helped Flaming with getting the ship up to the much larger vessel before getting to the docking procedures. The vessel that they were attempting to board was a long-term science frigate which were already rather large and unlike most spaceships had a dedicated port they could attach themselves too. It actually made their jobs easier as the auto-dock protocol on the other side of the ship connected to their computer and adjusted them into place while the umbilical tunnel came out to allow them to board.
"Seems the power in the ship is still on at least," Miles exclaimed as the soldiers behind them got ready while the tunnel pressurized. "That probably means atmosphere regulation too, I hear that these ships could go for a decade without having to arrive at a spaceport if they needed."
"Heard that too," Flaming replied as he finished the locking of the ports. "Do you... think that there might be any survivors?"
"I guess that's another reason they don't want to just blow the thing up and call it a day," Miles said with a sigh. "Anyway I just hope we're not walking into anything too disgusting, I just had lunch and won't take it if they all ended up going crazy and killing each other or something. If we didn't have to do safety checks I would just stay in the ship."
Flaming just nodded in response to that and as soon as the soldiers went out and secured the docking bay they followed suit. Other than it being dark with only security lighting on and no one around it looked like a normal area. The two pilots watched as the others fanned out and began to scan the area for life signs while they went up to the control deck. With no one around they had to do the final checks on the other side as well to make sure the seals kept hold as they entered into the control room that was on an overlook to the bay.
As Miles began to access the controls Flaming noticed that there was a blinking light on the communications terminal. A message... perhaps someone was alive and had seen them coming, either way it couldn't hurt to take a listen as he pushed the button. "If anyone is listening to this message you have to leave the ship immediately!" the frantic voice immediately began to say, prompting Miles to stop what he was doing to look over at the message. "A few hours ago something crashed into us and knocked us off course, at first we thought it was a meteor... but then as people went to fix the hole suddenly they started to call out for help."
"We didn't know what was happening, but those that came back from the area said that it was some sort of creature," the voice continued. "We tried to mobilize security to respond but suddenly those that had come back started to..." Both Miles and Flaming jumped as they heard a loud banging sound in the background. "Oh gods, they're here, they're-"
The message abruptly ended and both the wolfdog and lizardman looked at each other worriedly before Flaming got on his radio. "Hey, this is Flaming, we're in the main control room for the docking bay and we just heard something disturbing," Flaming reported. "Someone left a message in here warning us that there was some sort of creature that had boarded the ship. Perhaps we should evacuate?"
"That's a negative," the soldier in charge reported back. "We've got more than enough firepower to handle whatever happened here, and we need to at least figure out what it is before we go off of a random message. You are to remain at the docking bay for further instruction."
Though both Miles and Flaming wanted to argue they heard the radio cut with a note of finality to it that prompted them to stay quiet. The ship was eerily quiet and neither of them wanted to make any sounds that might give away their positions. They did keep the channel open though to listen for updates and from what they heard there was nothing they had come across yet that was worrying. In fact the only strange thing they had found was that there were no bodies, which made them wonder if the crew had been captured or managed to evacuate the ship.
After about thirty minutes both pilots jump as they suddenly heard the faint echo of gunfire, causing them both to perk up. As soon as they got to their feet they could hear the radio come alive with the soldiers shouting they made contact with something followed by more shots fired. The two were frozen as the sounds of battle raged on for minutes until finally it died down. Though Flaming wanted to get on the radio and ask what was going on he didn't want to give anyone away if they were hiding, though as Miles prompted that they should just leave the sound of the lower docking bay doors opening could be heard.
The two craned their head over the observation window to see one of the soldiers practically dragging himself back to the ship, shotgun scraping against the metal floor as he moved. He managed to get about halfway back before he slumped forward and collapsed with a loud thud. From the tail they could see that it was a tiger laying there and though they eyed up the guy wearily the wolfdog knew they had to help. Though the lizardman was less than enthused he grabbed the nearby medkit off of the wall and they rushed over to where he had collapsed.
As they got down to the main floor the two stopped and turned to the door the soldier had just come out of as a large screeching sound could be heard. Miles told Flaming to go and shut the door while he tended to the soldier, grabbing the shotgun and tossing it to the wolfdog before kneeling down to the tiger. While he was trained in firearms he hoped he wouldn't have to use it as he went to the bay door in order to close it. As he typed on the pad he knew he could also lock it down, but that meant anyone on the other side would have to wait until someone came in with a torch to cut through it... effectively trapping the other soldiers inside until more help arrived.
A loud shout suddenly interrupted Flaming's concentration and he turned to see that the tiger had not only gotten up but had pounced on the lizardman, which was horrific enough without the fact that the soldier had three long tentacles pushing out his feline muzzle and were wrapping around the head of the other man. With his front exposed the wolfdog could see his uniform was ripped and that his stomach looked bloated and distended, though that didn't stop him from keeping the pilot held down as Miles desperately tried to keep him back. Even as Flaming brought up the shotgun he could see more mutations happening to the tiger as the back of his body armor split from tentacles pushing out of it as more emerged from his thickening arms. Just as the transforming soldier had gotten almost completely wrapped around the head of the lizardman the wolfdog whistled to bring its attention on him.
The second it reared its head up Flaming caught a glimpse of the tiger's muzzle and the tentacles wiggling around inside of it before he pulled the trigger. The force of the shot knocked the feline off of the lizardman and had him skidding towards their ship in a heap, the canine's breath coming in heavy pants as Miles laid there on the floor. For a brief second he feared he had been too slow on the draw but as he ran over to his partner they were already starting to get back up while coughing. His scaly face was covered in the strange alien slime and as Flaming helped him to his feet he futilely tried to wipe it off.
"What the fuck was that..." Miles said as he continued to spit. "Guy was turning into an alien and then tried to kiss me?!"
"More likely eat you," Flaming replied as he chambered a fresh shell into the gun. "Whatever is here is bad news, we got to get... out of here..." The wolfdog trailed off and when the lizardman turned his head around he saw why as the creature began to get up once more. The damaged armor that had taken the brunt of the shotgun blast fell away to reveal white fur that was matted and gooey looking while the creature itself began to stumble towards them.
Both men quickly ran the only way they could, Flaming opening the door once more and getting both of them inside before shutting it behind them. With how thick the metal was they couldn't hear what was happening on the other side the wolfdog could only imagine that it was still trying to get at them. Whatever had happened to the tiger didn't seem to make it capable of complex thinking, but he wasn't going to take it to chance as they ran further into the ship. Flaming found the thoughts spinning in his head as he tried to figure out what was going on, what happened to someone that just a few minutes ago was a solider he knew and had become some sort of monster.
At the moment that wasn't important; the two of them had to get to where there were hopefully some emergency escape pods and try to escape from there. With that thing in the hanger there was no way they were going to get back to their ship, not when the uncoupling process would probably draw that mutated soldier in there with them. As they started to get deeper into the ship though the security lighting started to get dimmer as a fleshy substance similar to what was spreading on the tiger had started to amass on the walls. That recording was right, Flaming thought to himself, they should have never gotten on this ship...
Just as they were about to turn the corner Miles suddenly faltered and fell forward, his arms suddenly clutching his stomach as Flaming turned to catch him. "I feel... I feel real strange..." Miles said as he continued to stumble even with the wolfdog helping him. "It's like I'm going to throw up..."
"You can puke in the escape pod," Flaming replied, though as he continued to help the lizardman walk he could hear a gurgling sound that was coming from him. "Hey, just keep it together, you're going to be alright." Miles didn't respond, and as Flaming looked over at him his head was completely slumped forward and a yellowish-orange goo was dripping from his mouth. "Miles? Miles!?"
Miles heaved forward and made a loud wet cough that Flaming thought was him about to puke, but instead he just seemed to be almost dry heaving. The wolfdog's eyes snapped open as the scales of his throat bulged out from something coming up his throat, but whatever was stretching out his neck was slowly pushing its way as he took a few steps back. The face of the lizardman looked like he was in shock but as the two made eye contact the eyes of the reptilian man slowly rolled back as body was trembling and convulsing while still standing upright. Flaming put his hands to his muzzle as the jaws of the lizardman suddenly stretched out, a surge of goo flooding out of his mouth as a set of three tentacles emerged from his throat and flailed about in the air past his scaly lips.
Fuck this... Flaming immediately turned and ran as the body of the lizardman began to move again, its movements jerking and halted at first before going more smoothly. It let out the same wet screech the tiger made and as he ran from door to door he could hear others further in making the same noise. That's where the crew had gone, the wolfdog thought to himself, and no doubt the other shoulders joined the one they had first came across in being infested. It probably did the same to Miles when he had pounced him, and if he didn't keep running the same thing would happen to him.
Though he was faster for the moment it was only because he could occasionally catch the lizardman out of the corner of his eye and saw him still mutating. His arms grew thick and bulky while the alien flesh that was spreading from his lips grew over his head, rendering his face only vaguely reptilian as his head wiped back and forth. Whatever parasite was inside him was making quick work of his form and Flaming didn't want to see what the end result would be as he made his way towards the engine bay. At this point he would accept getting on a space suit and jettisoning out into space towards the station instead of staying on here another second, but the further back he got into the ship the more the alien tissue had spread over the hallways.
It wasn't just biomass either... as Flaming slowed his pace slightly he used the flashlight on the gun to see that several people appeared to be cocooned within the wiggling alien flesh. Some were sealed up against the walls while others looked like they were in some sort of pods as the light shined through the semi-translucent goo to reveal the shadow of the creature within. What was inside looked much different than what Miles or that soldier had become, and if the hulking mass and huge tentacles or claws were any indicator he guessed they were becoming some sort of soldier or guardian. As he continued to watch he found himself taking a step back in surprise as the creature within seemed to twitch at his presence, indicating that perhaps those in this ship could tell where he was and what he was doing...
Nevertheless Flaming continued on, avoiding the shadows of those creatures where he could. When he got to the back of the vessel though he found a problem in the form of an alien creature standing there. Unlike the tiger or Miles this one had clearly played host to whatever was infesting the ship for a while, its body almost unrecognizable as several tentacles on its completely coated body flailed about. While it was humanoid in nature it was only vaguely so with a head that might have been draconic and a thick tail that was swollen and pulsated like a heartbeat.
There were only a few ways into the engine room of the ship and this was one of them. Flaming still had the shotgun but he wasn't sure what sort of effect it would have on such a creature, but as he stood there he heard a loud banging noise to his left that caused his head to whip around. When he brought up the gun he found there was nothing there that he could see and if there was a creature it had left. As he started to lower his weapon however he happened to glance back and found he wasn't the only one that had heard the noise, which drew the head of the creature to point straight at him.
The wolfdog didn't even have a chance to dodge out of the way as the massive alien entity plowed into him, its huge hand smashing him against the squishy wall behind him and causing the shotgun to clatter out of his hand. As the flashlight on the end of it pointed in his direction it illuminated the creature that was about to kill him, or infest him, or potentially eat him as the pressure increased on his upper body. The organic matter on the wall was thicker than he had anticipated and he managed to get pushed in a few inches before he felt something slithering through his fur. This alien wasn't the only thing that had tentacles and after a few seconds it pulled its hand back in order to allow his chest to get restrained too.
This was not the fate he had originally imagined but when Flaming tried to move he found himself effectively trapped, bound by tentacles that were holding his arms and legs apart. After squirming around for a bit the alien brought its claws up and the wolfdog found himself flinching, waiting for whatever blow he was about to receive. With his eyes squeezed shut the only thing he felt was a tugging sensation and the sound of fabric tearing, which when he opened them again in shock he found that it had torn off his spacesuit. Instinctively he tried to bring his hands down before Flaming realized how foolish that was to be embarrassed of being nude when he was clearly being prepared for something.
The sounds of wet squelching and gulping could be heard by the restrained wolfdog as the creature's wet, slimy body approached him. Flaming could see the vague outline of the eyes of whatever crew member played host to this thing and he knew deep down there would be no begging or bargaining to get out of this situation. The fact that it was happening slowly, almost sensually, was the only thing that was keeping him from completely freaking out and just breaking down into sheer hysterics. Maybe that was the point, or maybe since he was the last man standing they had something different planned for him.
When the muzzle was only a few inches from his face he quickly got his answer in the form of those tentacles in the maw of the creature slithering over his face. With it being so close to him Flaming could almost see the division between the mutated maw of the former scientist and the parasite itself. That's the same fate that was befalling Miles, the other soldiers, and soon himself. Even though nothing had quite happened yet he could sense that even if he managed to get out at this point he was already infested or infected with whatever happened to them, especially as he could feel the alien biomass coating his fur and seeping into his limbs.
Finally the three tentacles wrapped around his head completely and practically pushed his muzzle up against the opening of the creature, which as it did his eyes snapped open as he felt something start to push into his muzzle. The second the slimy creature pressed against his tongue he tried to push it away and close his mouth but the second he tried those same tentacles wrapped around him slithered around to pull his mouth open. This creature would not be denied and as Flaming still tried he found that the alien had a back-up plan. He let out a muffled gasp as what had been the tail of the former creature opened up at the tip and latched around his thighs before his tailhole had something slither up against it.
The sudden sensation of something back there caused the wolfdog to gasp, which was all the alien needed to get his tentacles in there to keep his maw open. Even though it was hard to see the light from his gun lying uselessly on the floor the large infested creature's throat bulged as what was inside it began to push past his lips. No amount of struggling could stop the parasite that was insistent on making its way inside the wolfhound, Flaming hearing the sounds of his own gulping in his ears as it began to push down into his throat. Whatever slime was on the creature had managed to not only stop his gag reflex but also relaxed the muscles of his neck, with a similar sensation happening below as he could feel something more than just a tentacle probing his tailhole.
Another parasite... this thing was intent on stuffing him from both ends and there was nothing that Flaming could do to stop it. As his eyes squeezed shut the worst part in his mind was that it was actually starting to feel... good, the embrace of the alien flesh around his fur causing him to writhe about in pleasure instead of fear. Without even knowing it the alien biomass that was on the back of his head had started to creep over his skull and into his ears in order to pacify him. Along with it came strings of information; though most of them were half-formed images Flaming could start to sense what this creature in front of him was experiencing in infesting him.
In the back of the wolfdog's mind he found himself realizing that the intense sensations of euphoria that these infested creatures got made it no wonder that they were hell-bent on spreading to others. It was a sublime desire that was slowly being passed on to him, as he had guessed he could sense that because he had been the last in the group to get a parasite they were taking their time with him. They needed him to change quickly, to become like the one in front of him feeding the parasite it had gestated into him. But soon all Flaming could focus on was feeling the three tentacles of the alien creature flailing about inside of his muzzle as the main body pushed its way down into his throat.
It felt for a few brief moments like he was trying to swallow a baseball and as a gurgling sound escaped from his lips he felt the second parasite penetrate into him. His tailhole had been well-lubed by the creature and as the abdomen tail convulsed it pushed upwards that caused his hips to thrust out. It was the most bizarre penetration that he had ever experienced and if it wasn't for what was sliding down his throat at that moment he might have assumed that it was the maleness of the monster. Whatever was sliding up inside of him throbbed as its corruptive goo could be felt doing something to his inner walls.
With the implantation finished and the orgasmic high that came with it tapering off the alien creature pulled away, pulling his tentacles back and leaving the wolfdog stuck to the wall. Flaming hung there limply, his eyes twitching as he could still see the tentacles of the parasites in his mouth and tailhole. Even at this point he knew there was nothing he could do to stop it and as his thoughts turned back to Miles he was greeting with an emotion that wasn't fear or horror. There was a bizarre sense of need that came from the mental image of the lizardman transforming, but before he could process it Flaming felt his head get tipped back as the last of the parasite pushed down inside of him.
Flaming found himself panting heavily when he could finally breathe once the parasite had slipped deep into him, though he could already hear his gasps becoming wet and almost bubbly. He was still getting pleasure from the one that was sliding up inside of him from the other end as the tentacles continued to stimulate the sensitive flesh down there. Though it probably wasn't intentional the feelings of fullness down there and getting stretched by the wiggling appendages caused him to groan more than once. It was hard for the wolfdog to concentrate on his situation, but as he could feel the alien biomass creeping over his body he wondered what there was to even ponder.
He had been infested... the fact was irrefutable as he could see the bulge in his stomach being joined by a second while his belly started to swell with something else. Even without his mind slowly being corrupted by whatever was inside of him the wolfdog knew that there was nothing he could do, that soon he would be just like those that he could see prowling around in the shadows of his light. He had wished that his shotgun had fallen somewhere else as he could see his furred flesh starting to ripple in his upper body, panting as the foreign sensations were growing stronger. It wasn't just the feeling of this thing growing inside of him, it was the fact that he was not only starting to come to grips with his fate but starting to enjoy it.
It was just the alien presence, Flaming tried to reason, but even though that was completely true it didn't make it any less hard to ignore as he could feel the biomass finally creeping over the last of his fur. When he looked down again he found his swollen stomach and tail completely engulfed by it, pulsating and throbbing while also completely encapsulating his throbbing maleness. It looked like some sort of bizarre suit, but as he could feel it also starting to cover over his face a new sensation surged to the forefront of his mind. At first he thought it was the parasite tendrils stretching up his spine and throat to escaple like it had done with Miles, but instead what came out of his maw was a torrent of glowing orange bioluminescent slime.
"Some...one..." Flaming called out to the shadows as his mind was becoming delirious, seeing the alien bioflesh that coated his body starting to bulge out in other areas as his jaws wetly snapped shut several times. "H...help..." But as the creatures flickered in and out of the range of the gun's light he saw them as more of the parasitoids, though he could start to sense who was who. More than once he recognized a soldier that had come with them even without the torn clothing or their faces only partially mutated, but as his eyes became unfocused he suddenly found everything going dark.
With his sight robbed there was nothing he could do but feel, though that sensation was not in short supply as his body began to tremble from it. The alien presence oozed into his ears and his mind while he could feel more of the goo leaking from his mouth and nose. Despite having already seen it happen the parasite had not emerged to take control... because it didn't need to. The parasites were more focused on producing something else, something that caused the coating on his body to continue to swell outwards and away from his body.
Eventually Flaming found his muzzle being sealed shut by the biomass that congealed on it, two tendrils pushing into his nostrils while his stomach continued to feel more swollen and bloated by the second. It wasn't just his belly either as he felt something happening to his tail, feeling the normally somewhat light appendage growing bigger as the alien flesh of the walls separated from it. The sensation of the rubbery flesh pressing against him was soon replaced with goo, and as his body mostly detached from the wall that had held him the wolfdog realized what was going on. Whether it was from his own corrupted mind or information this alien species fed him Flaming knew that the wall wasn't going to consume him, it had created a cocoon like several of the others he had passed...
...a cocoon to hasten his mutation into a monster.
As the biomass ballooned out more from being filled Flaming could start to see himself again, though everything was tinged with orange. He found he could actually squirm around a bit as the walls of his alien prison stretched to the point it let the light in. As he looked down at himself though the wolfdog almost wished he had been left in the dark; while his stomach had deflated slightly his fur had all but disappeared, replaced with similar parasitoid flesh like the one that had trapped him.
But what surprised Flaming even more than what he looked like was that he could still seem to think somewhat coherently. While he continued to see those strange flashes of images that were not his own and began to feel a connection with the pulsating flesh around him there was not the same aggressive emotions that he had seen with Miles and the others. Was it because there was no more prey in the ship? It took him a second to realize he had thought of those not infested as prey as his body heaved from the feeling of something inside of him.
The fluid inside his cocoon had finally filled enough that Flaming could move around a bit, but even with the tint of the liquid he could see that something else was happening to him. There were tentacles in the pod other than the ones in his nostrils feeding his body oxygen as they wrapped around his body. There was nothing he could do in order to push them away, and a growing thought in his mind made him wonder why he should. Deep down the wolfdog knew that the desire to embrace these appendages at all was the corruption taking root in his mind, but as he felt something moving about inside of him it had taken his attention away from his thoughts and onto his body.
The gelatinous goo and the parasites had completely infused the mutations into him, and with his mental barriers breaking down he could feel the euphoria that came with his body growing. The hive wanted him to get stronger... he would be a powerful creature who was responsible for protecting the parasitoids that not only grew inside of him but also throughout the ship. As Flaming shook his head the last of the fur fell off of it and his eyes snapped open as the parasite that had been introduced through his mouth began its journey back up. This was it... already it had tendrilled up into his mind and it was making a move to take him over completely.
With no need to convert him completely it took its time to break his resistance, this alien creature far more insidious than Flaming had even realized as the second parasite moved elsewhere inside of him. As it started to push back towards the base of his tail another tentacle slithered up into his tailhole and pushed in easily. It was like his body eagerly accepted the penetration as his body convulsed from both pleasure and the mutations that were happening in his body. With most of his fur gone and replaced with alien flesh Flaming could watch as his somewhat thin frame began to bloat and grow.
It was the will of the hive, the will of the parasite, the thoughts of infestation filled his mind as he let out a silent cry of pleasure and shock. In a last-ditch attempt to try and escape despite being so heavily infected he tried to kick against the wall of his cocoon, but not only were his half-hearted attempts easily repelled by the thick semi-translucent skin but he also saw what had happened to his feet. He could see his digits literally twisting and bloating out as the claws grew bigger while sliding out of the slick flesh.
With seeing the changes happening Flaming suddenly became acutely aware of his transformation, his fingers and toes shaking in shock as the parasitic fluid seeping into them caused the malformed digits to grow. While his paws were swelling and had wet webbing form between them a far more monstrous mutation was happening to his hands. Bubbles left the wolfdog's muzzle as the skin of his fingers split from the sudden growth and as his arm became bloated from the corrupted muscle his hands began to wiggle about in a far more prehensile nature. He found himself grabbing it with his other hand even though it was a futile effort but as he did he saw that more tentacles were sprouting from his other arm, this time pushing out from the rubbery skin of his forearm while the other one continued to see his fingers becoming bigger and longer.
Flaming let out a muffled roar as he could feel his insides shifting about, his infested spine stretching as his tail became warped and bloated. If he had the ability to look backwards he would have seen it becoming more draconic or reptilian in appearance as the parasite inside began to convert the muscle and bone to become something more. He had already seen what it would become from the one that had put the parasite into him in the first place as his new alien abdomen would grow more parasites to infest others. With his body growing at such a rapid pace though it took every ounce of willpower to not succumb to the alien voice in his head as his body bulked up.
With his body mutating into a beast and the tentacle continuing to slide deeper into him to facilitate it Flaming almost didn't see that the lump that had been in his stomach was moving upwards. Along with it came the tentacles that had been slithering into his skull the entire time melding with his brain even more. The entire point of this slower, more insidious process was to keep the information in his mind intact; once he was released he would be one of the parasitoids that would go out and make sure that there would be none that escaped their infection. Unlike the others who had their minds burned out from the infestation and were nothing more than parasitic puppets this was more of a fusion between host and parasitoid... though it was time for the true owner of this new body to finally take control.
Flaming had a few moments of clarity as the fog of his mind was loosened, potentially due to the parasite taking its new position. Though he was a monster at this point the instinct of survival and self-preservation kicked in and he attempted to break through his cocoon. When he attempted to bang against it with his new arms he found that they didn't move, instead they continued to hang there limply while the tentacles that made up his left arm coiled around one another. The new appendages had split the massive limb all the way up practically to his shoulder and though he could feel each one being able to move in a prehensile nature none of them responded to his commands.
With the parasite fusing to his nerves and muscle the only things that Flaming could feel was what it wanted him to feel. The wolfdog found himself only able to move his head and neck, though that was quickly becoming harder to do as the mutated flesh swelled and bulged. The pressure was growing in both his mind and his head and as his body floated there in the thick substance the lupine head thrashed around. His jaws stretched open as in the haze of his head getting infested the bulge that had traveled up his chest was sliding into his throat once more as the parasite reached the last stages of its gestation.
Unlike with Miles and his final infestation it felt to Flaming like the parasite was being deliberately slow, his thought processes being hijacked and his independent faculties slowing down to a crawl. There was no need for him to think anymore... the parasite would be his mind, his brain, and as he felt his throat swell from the creature rising up he found his resistance falling away. The body had long since been claimed as part of the parasitoid hive and his mind was just catching up to that fact as he head stretched and swelled. The mutations were reaching a tipping point and as Flaming lost the last of his feeling what he could feel was the tentacles starting to wiggle up from the back of his throat.
The wolfdog's lungs had long since been converted and with the last stream of bubbles coming out of his stretched out maw Flaming's body heaved forward, practically convulsing as his entire body rippled with even more new growth. As the light from the flashlight began to flicker it illuminated the creature within as his head swayed back and forth while his jaws stretched out even more. With the last of Flaming being overwhelmed he finally felt it, the clarity that came with the three tentacles pushing their way out of his mouth. If he wasn't completely submerged Flaming would have heard himself gurgling and growling wetly as the parasite finally pushed into his maw, the tendrils in his brain completely anchoring its control into him.
As the parasite tentacles continued to waggle in the goo they stretched out the wolfdog's muzzle, though it was becoming harder to recognize the creature within as such. Anyone that might have seen the entity in the cocoon would have guessed that it was just another alien as Flaming's body twitched and quivered. The tentacles from the wall that birthed the pod and the one within continued to stroke the body within as the one buried in its tailhole kept the parasitic material flooding into his body. As the creature went dormant it would continue to grow, the muscles swelling with alien biomass before the light from the gun went dark after having biomass grown over it...
As Flaming floated there in the darkness his mind was completely idle; they were connected completely to the hive and could see, hear, even feel what they were experiencing through the biomass of the ship. There were many that had succumbed to the same fate that he had with dozens of cocoons that had been far further in the metamorphosis process to become a pure parasitoid. These creatures were the pinnacle of the hive and would be the primary spreaders should the need arise. Others that were more mobile continued to lurk about, ready to pounce on any foolish enough to step foot on the ship.
There was also access to what had happened to the ship before the parasitoid infestation started, seeing the memories of all those that had been converted. It almost entirely centered on when the creatures invaded, reinforcing the need to spread as he watched the first of their new kind wrapping around the head of the foolish scientist and pushing into his mouth while others managed to scatter about around whatever had delivered them into the ship. There was a thrill of pleasure at feeling the first infestation take place and as the scientist was converted the new creature gave access to the rest of the scientists aboard.
Once the ship had been completely infested the parasites had been content in staying in their sector of space, not wanting to go out in order to keep their presence on the radar as low as possible. Despite being such a primal response there was intelligence to that as the parasites continued to make the vessel into their hive. Unfortunately for them no one knew that the ship had a built-in retrieval process in case it became a ghost ship, and by the time they had realized what was happening the emergency sub-light drive triggered and brought the ship back into occupied space. It was not something that had been intended but when the ship that Flaming had piloted docked up on them it was time for them to spread.
Flaming wasn't sure how long they remained in stasis, the parasite in their mind shutting down their thought processes so that their bodies could continue to be gestated within the cocoon, but suddenly an alert went through the entire parasitoid hive the ship had become. It was accompanied by a shudder and as his mind was awoken he had been informed that after being threatened through the radio once the security team didn't check in that the parasitoid had decided to answer the call by crashing the ship into the station. Once they had breached the alien biomass had immediately worked to seal off the damaged decks and breaches into the station before the alien creatures began to pour in. Those on the station would have no idea what was about to come as the former wolfdog began to stir.
As other creatures passed by to push into the breach the shiny skin of the cocoon stretched out, wiggling tentacles being seen pushed against it before a clawed hand pierced through it. By this point the infested creature had grown big enough to the point that the vague outline of his form could be seen in the pod, but as the goo poured out of it and the monster within emerged it quickly suctioned around his form. The body of the new parasitoid was a hulk of a creature as tentacles immediately began to spill out of the opening to stretch it out. A wet, squelching roar came from it as the vaguely canine head pushed its way out as the parasitic tendrils wiggled out in the air in search of prey.
While his body hadn't been completely mutated to that of a pure parasitoid, the hive not taking any chances and throwing every creature they had to infest the space station, Flaming was a monster. His thick alien paws stomped on the ground as they emerged from the cocoon while more of the goo spilled onto the similar alien flesh on the floor. He could vaguely feel the hardened lump that was the gun that had been grown over but as the massive clawed hand tore away at the last of the pod there was no need for it. His other arm raised up and the mass of tentacles it had become continued to coil over his own heavily muscled form to stimulate the alien flesh as though to spur on the creature.
Once he had finished getting out of the pod Flaming's body took a second to get reacquainted with the atmosphere after having been cocooned for so long. His alien flesh glistened in the dim emergency lighting that had been converted through the biomass, the creature sensing the parasites within shifting about in anticipation. The host could feel the abdomen that his tail had become twitching as well as his stomach, his belly rippling and swelling slightly from the parasites inside that could be delivered through his maw. They had been growing ever since the former wolfdog had been encased and as the parasite spurred him on to find more prey the only thing Flaming could do was watch as his body reacted while his broken mind was fed information and pleasure.
Not that Flaming would have done anything to stop it even if he could; with the time in their cocoon even without the full conversion there was no difference between the wolfdog and the parasitoid. The mind of the former pilot had been so thoroughly corrupted that it didn't even view those that he could hear screaming in horror as his former co-workers, the only thing they were to him now were hosts to carry more parasites as the infestation spread like a plague. As the mostly transformed creature got to the hull breach and looked out he saw that the ship had crashed into the one place that would have been the main means of escape for those on board, the docking bay. With the small ship yard completely compromised and the planet they were hovering around uninhabitable there was nowhere anyone could go in order to avoid the infestation.
With having to breach the cocoon said infestation was already well underway by the time he had gotten out. Those that were unfortunate, or rather fortunate in his corrupted opinion, to be close to the ship when it had breached were already pinned up against the biomass spreading from it. Flaming watched the familiar sight of the people squirming about before the alien flesh covered them, often with tentacles pushing into their maws and tailholes in order to deliver parasites that moved about within. They would become much like he had been, immediately making the transformation into pure parasitoids while others like him would hunt down those that had managed to run.
The second the ship had crashed into the hull of the space station it had initiated a lockdown that caused most bulkheads to close automatically. It was designed in the case of a hull breach causing a rapid loss of atmosphere but also for security threats. While that would marginally protect those that were deeper into the station it did nothing for those that had been on the wrong side of the doors when they closed. As the wet, heavy paws of Flaming approached he could see that those who had clustered around the hull banging desperately against it had already been pinned down. A sensation of both pride and a little envy went through the parasitoid's body as he watched the throats of those on the ground stretch out from the parasite being pushed into them by either maw or abdomen.
Soon their numbers would be bolstered and with a few of the new hosts being mechanics and security personnel they would have even more access to information on the facility. Those that had been captured right away crawled on the ground on all fours or writhed on their backs, goo leaking out of their maws until eventually their new masters showed themselves. The sounds of grunting and squelching could be heard as the hive expanded with efficiency as those that had just swallowed down the parasite given to them could see their fates unfolding. It wouldn't be long until they all had tentacles pushing out of their mouths as those hosts who already had them let out wet shouts that turned to roars.
With most of those that were in the docking bay already taken care of Flaming moved on to the bulkhead doors, which were the currently the only thing that stopped the bulk of their forces from invading. The hive knew that every second they spent away from their prey was another second that reinforcements could be called. While they were far enough away from any other place that help wouldn't come in time they needed to get the station back into parasitoid space before they were rendered a threat and dealt with. That meant getting to the control room and engine bay, but with the lockdown in place no doubt those on the other side thought that they were safe for the moment and were probably breathing a slight sigh of relief.
If only they knew how wrong they were, the parasitoid thought as Flaming went over to a door reserved for pilots. While their smaller parasites were currently sliding through the ventilation systems in order to ambush prey he put his tentacle arm up against the wall and pushed the tips through the control panel. The host's code would have been useless anyway with the security lockdown in place as the gooey appendages continued to slither inside of the walls. As he corrupted the electronics within by flooding the area with biomass he found that there was another by his side waiting. The vagely reptilian build of the other creature stirred something within the host but it was quickly pushed aside for the task at hand as the parasites within their stomachs and abdomen stirred restlessly inside of them.
Once the alien goo had sufficiently suffused through the systems the light on the door flickered before turning from red to green. The door opened and when the two parasitoids looked on the other side they saw four men there had looked back at them in shock. From the looks of the weapons they were preparing and the tables in the pilot's breakroom being turned over they had intended on setting up a defensive barrier in case anyone had gotten through. Unfortunately for them they were a little late on the set up as Flaming let out a gurgle from the parasites preparing within as he charged forward.
The one that had been Miles immediately rushed the one closest to the door and pounced on him, quickly getting him to the floor as the others turned in shock. While Flaming was also driven to spread the integration process had given him a cooler head then his counterpart as he moved forward and reached out with his tentacle arm. With the chaos that had been unleashed upon them the cheetah and wolf that had been turned to try and shoot the other parasitoid didn't even see the attack until they felt the slimy appendages wrap around him. The sounds of their weapons clattering to the ground could be heard as he knocked over the third man before pinning him under his heavy, webbed paw.
The guard that was knocked on his back continued to squirm about before Flaming's abdomen tail stretched down and clamped around his mouth, completely enveloping the avian creature's beak and almost his head as his hands went up and flailed uselessly against it. With the urgency of getting deeper into the space station to spread the hive they couldn't bask in the perfection of the parasite hive they were spreading to these crewmates, but that didn't stop the parasitoid from enjoying it as he could feel one of them slip from his abdomen opening into the beak of the pinned creature.
As the feathered throat of the pinned man began to swell and bulge Flaming's attention turned to the two that he had ensnared in his tentacles. With time being limited and not wanting to unload all his parasites in the beginning the infested creature grabbed the cheetah with his other bulky hand while his tentacle arm pushed the wolf up against the wall. His augmented form was more than strong enough to deal with both of them as he saw the look of shock and horror in both sets of eyes. That would soon change once they were hosts however and Flaming could feel his body shivering in ecstasy as he brought the cheetah forward and pressed their muzzles together in a perverse kiss.
The cheetah crewmate attempted to back away but with the tentacles that wiggled in the hardly visible maw of the wolfdog it wasn't long before they had wrapped around his head. Brief flashbacks in the host's memory of his infestation had bubbled to the surface as he could feel his throat growing, goo dripping from his lips as he would visit the same fate upon this one. At the same time he could feel the stomach of the avian underneath his feet swelling as the parasite made its home in there, their eyes rolled back into their head as they remained on the floor with their back arching up even when Flaming released him.
While the cheetah's body began to go limp at feeling a second set of tentacles pushing into his maw the wolf had a bit more fight in him, struggling against the tentacles slithering up underneath his bodysuit and against his thick fur. As his lupine body was pushed back against the wall the alien goo that secreted from the tentacles slithering and coiling around his body adhered him to the metal. There was a loud yelp as several of the ones that had gotten underneath the fabric of his suit lifted up, the biomass weakening it to the point where it tore like tissue paper. As Flaming felt the tendrils of the parasite pushing into the cheetah's mouth and stretching open his muzzle for easier access several forming out of the growing biomass began to push their way into the ears of the wolf.
With his head stuck to the back of the wall and the tentacles spreading out his limbs there was little the wolf could do but shake his head, but by that point the biomass was already starting to spread over his head. Much like the cheetah whose throat began to instinctively swallow against the parasite pushing into him the wolf's fate had been sealed the second that he had been in Flaming's clutches. The monstrous parasitoid just watched as the wolf's body shuddered at the penetration in his ear, pushing the alien influence into his mind and integrating it with his thoughts. While he wouldn't be properly infested until a parasite was introduced into his system the mutations were already starting to manifest as the cheeks of the wolf started to be converted into wet, rubbery alien flesh while it spread over his naked body.
Just like with his own form Flaming could see that the wolf was taking to the process rather well when he started to grow erect, especially when a tentacle began to push into his tailhole to convert his insides to house more parasites. Soon he would be completely enveloped, though his body and flesh would be heavily corrupted it wouldn't be until he got his very own parasitoid that the cocoon would form. He wouldn't have to wait long for it to happen as other parasites began to creep their way into the open door, skittering past his feet and the avian solider whose slightly squishier beak starting to have three tentacles pushing out of it.
Soon other parasitoids began to filter through as well and with Miles having already infested the soldier he had pounced they had moved on with the others. Not wanting to be left behind Flaming's parasite unlatched his tentacles from the head of the cheetah and let him fall to his knees before moving on. As soon as he was released the soldier put his hands to his throat to stop the bulge that was pushing down into it but it quickly squished around them as the last of the tendrils slipped inside past his lips. Unlike the others though his conversion was more muted, the parasite within taking a slightly different route than the others.
Unlike the avian and other guard whose thickening muscles were beginning to tear through their clothing the parasite infesting the cheetah would be more subtle and subdued. The feline might even think he had gotten away after it had completely taken over his mind, letting him act and sound his normal terrified self as the other parasitoids let him go. In reality he was a virulent bomb just waiting to go off; the second that he managed to find his way into a group of people the parasite would present itself and infect all those in reach while the alien biomass built up inside their system. It was just one of many ways that the hive had started to adapt in order to take over systems more subversively.
As red alert alarms started to go off though this would not be one of those times, not when the parasitoids had already started to flood through the station infesting all those that were within reach. For those connected to it hive they could sense themselves spreading to the critical systems of the space station. Communications, engines, life support... with how many people that were on the station it wouldn't take long before they managed to take over those areas and spread their biomass over it. Then much like the ship itself the alien flesh would seep into every process and eventually override it much like the parasites did to the minds of their hosts, bending both to serve their needs as Flaming and the others made their way towards the control room of the station.
Despite the preparations that were made the sheer numbers of parasitoids from the parasites slithering through every nook and cranny to the hulking creatures that held them overwhelmed the station in short order. By the time Flaming had gotten up to the control room he could hear with his augmented senses that the leader of the station was practically screaming for evacuation teams and heavy fire support only to be denied. Those that were on the other side of the line seemed to know exactly what they were dealing with and he could almost hear the sounds of their hopes crashing to the ground. There would be only one fate for the infested station, and that was for either a heavy warship to come in and obliterate it or disable it to have it crash into the gas giant that it was surrounded by.
But the parasitoids had other ideas for the station and as Flaming and the others overrode the security, this time using the knowledge they had absorbed from all the security personnel that had been infested. Those that were inside the control room attempted to put up a fight but their weapons did little against the thick, rubbery flesh of the hulking creatures as the pure parasitoids moved their way in. The alien invasion was almost over and those that were in this room would either be immediately cocooned in order to convert them immediately or stuffed full of parasites to the point that their bellies would look like they were pregnant. Flaming had long since used the last of his own and had to wait until more gestated within him, but that didn't stop him from using his huge, thick arms and tentacles to restrain and subdue others.
With the captain of the space station one of them they had the final piece for the hive to do what it had been planning since it crashed into the station in the first place. The emergency sub-light jump had burned out the primary engines of the science vessel, but the ones that belonged to the station were still intact. The biomass had completely coated the area where the ship had made contact and between that and the repairs using materials on the station they were ready to head back to a safer sector of space. The new hive space station would be another in parasitoid space, eventually leading to the creep of their dominion over the rest of the galaxy...
