Two's Trial
Heya all
This is the second in a series of stories. The first isn't polished enough for posting. But i hope you enjoy reading this. It has been done in collaberation with a close friend, we took it in turns to write each chapter so styles might change between them. The next one will be uploaded next week, and so on untill they are all up, so keep a weathered eye for the next chapter. Don't worry they get much much better! =P
Enjoy
Two's Trial
Chapter 1
Master was unhappy.
That was putting it nicely.
The slam of the front door made me jump from where I sat reading. I could easily tell he was mad, but at what I was unsure until I asked.
"Is something wrong Master?" I asked standing and setting my book down on the coffee table.
He growled and made to go up stairs before I stopped him. "Tell me."
He sighed. Any other master would have just pushed me aside, but Arti didn't, he just took my shoulders in his soft hands and sighed. Drawing me closer he gave me a gentle hug.
"I don't want to burden you Sun."
"You won't be Master," I smiled up at him. He smiled back and gently guided me up stairs to his study. We both sat down on his couch, him draping his arm around my shoulder, drawing me close again. He was silent for a few minutes, probably just enjoying the feel of my fur on his scales. I smiled, loving being this close to him. I never felt closer like when I was in his arms, even when we made love, I know I never felt that close.
"I... have some bad news."
My heart sunk at those words.
"What," I managed to whisper.
"Ono... she's... she's been kidnapped."
I looked up at him severe worry in my voice, but he stopped me before I managed a single word.
"Sica is alright Sun, she is with one of my friends."
"What are you going to do Master?"
"I'm going to get her back."
"How though, do you even know where she is?"
He nodded and stood, walking over to a cupboard Ono brought over once. One I had never been allowed in before. Until that day I never even knew what it contained.
"I do know where she is Sun..."
"I'm coming then."
He stopped, hand on the cupboard handle.
"What?"
"I said, I'm coming with you," I had no idea where those words were coming from. I should never be so bold with the one who owns me. He smiled gently and shook his head.
"You won't like where you would be going."
I raised an eyebrow at him.
"She is being held at the Sanctum."
I swallowed hard. I still had nightmares of that place. But I was determined. I loved Ono, and Sica. I would be damned if would leave her to such a fate that the Sanctum had for her.
"I'm coming with you," I said finally. Arti nodded and pulled the cupboard open.
"You've always wondered what was in here Sun, well now you get to find out."
As the doors swung open, I saw numerous silver weapons lining the wooden walls. He stepped forward and started looking through all the weapons, pulling out a few rather plain looking swords and resting them on his desk.
"Are they ours?"
"No Sun, those are for some friends who will be helping us when we raid the Sanctum. I have something more special for us to use."
With that he reached in to the cupboard and pulled out a thick, black pole, a red ribbon adorning its length. And at the top was a large, thick silver blade, with the top adorned with a red metal, looking like that of the top of a dragon's mouth, and several, what looked to me like draconic makings.
I gazed at it, and looked at its size.
"I think it's a bit big for me Master, and I was never taught how to wield a scythe."
He chuckled and shook his head.
"Kryptic is a little big for you Sun, and besides, I have something here that you might prefer more."
He rested the large scythe on the floor before reaching back into the cupboard. He looked at the walls line with swords and bows until he saw the one he wanted. Reaching in and removing a sword still in its leather sheath, unlike all the others, whose silver blades shone proudly.
He stood and walked over to me holding it flat in both his hands. He gestured for me to kneel, I did so with out hesitation.
"This sword is very special. It was given to me many years ago by a master craftsman. He was old, and this sword was his last ever. He had used every skill he knew, put every ounce of his energy into its crafting."
He placed a hand to its hilt and slowly drew it from its sheath. The broad blade shone brilliantly as the light played over its gleaming surface as it was freed from its confine. I couldn't help but stare as Master rested the sheath on the floor, showing me the weapons intricacies.
The hilt was wrapped in black leather, made to be hard to slip, even when one's hands were slippery, and ended in the same silver of the rest of the blade. The blade itself was long, narrowing towards the centre, before returning to the same width as near the hilt. He turned it in his hands, and I saw a jagged edge where the blade began and the hilt ended. Several runes were engraved near to the hilt as well.
I reached out to touch it, and master only smiled, holding it forward for my furred fingers to glide over, tracing the runes.
"Would you like to know what they say Sun?" Master asked. I looked up at him and nodded.
"They say; 'against the odds.'"
"What's her name?" I asked, still gliding my fingers over the blade, making him smile again.
"Very discerning of you Sun, her name is Phoenix, she saved my life countless times."
He picked up the sheath and quickly hid her from me in its depths.
"Now go and dress in something appropriate, I'm going to need you to look the part I need you to now play."
"And what part might that be Master?"
"That of a beautiful Wolfess. I think one of your kimonos might be best." I nodded and stood, making to leave for my room before he stopped me. "Put this on first I must test something."
I looked at what he was now holding out to me. It looked remarkably like a corset. Not questioning him I quickly removed my large jumper and slipped the garment on, turning for master to pull the strings tighter for me. Happy it was tight enough I turned.
Only to have master thrust a knife into my gut.
I was surprised, never thinking my beloved master would actually stab me. The force of the blow sent me flying backwards as a metallic snap rang out. I gasped and clutched at my stomach, winded. He stood proudly holding the hilt of a dagger in his hand, the blade mysteriously missing, seemingly snapped off close to the hilt.
"Even better results than I expected," he said bending down and picking up a long shard of metal and stepping over to help me up. "Strongest steel, and it snapped clean off."
I looked down at the corset as my breathing settled, and realised, despite being a little shocked and out of breath, I was completely fine. He helped me remove the corset and sent me on my way.
Even though he had stabbed me, knowing he had gone to the trouble to have something that would stop a blade dead in its tracks, made me happy.
I set the corset on my bed and stripped my clothes leaving only my panties on, before slipping the corset on and pulling it tight. It felt strange, not like a corset I had worn before. But I assumed that was because of what was inside the leather.
I picked out a kimono and put it on, the soft, black fabric making me smile. There was a light knock on the door as I fluffed out my hair calling 'enter,' to the person as I turned. Master stood there with Phoenix in his hands as well as a strange looking piece of leather. He set Phoenix down on the bed and asked me to turn around. I did so, and he pressed the leather to my back, reaching over my shoulders to pull some leather over them. It suddenly dawned on me that it was a harness for Phoenix sheath, to hold her on my back.
Then once we were both ready, he took hold of Kryptic and ushered me out the front door to the car.
