Hey it's me angel. I just wanted to apologize for making you guys wait so long. I just barely got a new laptop two days ago. So I didn't have a lot of time to type this story, and I'm sorry if it's not that good i wanted to get this story uploaded as soon as possible so i kinda rushed through itThe. And at that moment my face grew red and nervous. Was what she saying true? Did I love her? I thought about the weeks that I have been here and all the times I was with Amela. This made Amela's face turn sad. I looked at her beautiful eyes and saw them watering up.

"Please don't cry" I said to her trying to calm her down.

She then bursted into tears got up and started to run off. I chased after her though it was kind of hard since it was getting dark. I was able to catch up to her but when I was about to stop her when out of nowhere something jumps in front of Amela making her stop. I pulled out my knife getting ready to attack.

"Hyenas" Amela said still crying a little.

"Well look her boys, I think we just found our self's dinner". One of the hyenas said as another three popped out.

"I never had human before, I wonder what they taste like" another hyena said.

Just then one of the hyenas tried to attack Amela, so I jumped in the way and used my knife to cut the hyenas throat open, which killed it instantly. This made the other three mad so two of them pounced at me, I dodged them then grabbed one by the tail and slammed it on the floor, but it didn't kill it only hurt it badly enough to where it will not be able to move and will die of starvation or being eaten by another animal. That's when the other one tackled me to the ground, making me drop my knife just out of reach. While me and one of the hyenas were fighting I didn't notice that the last hyena was approaching Amela from behind. As I was fighting the hyena I suddenly heard a scream of pain, I turned my head to see Amela on the floor with the hyena standing above her. That filled me with rage. Somehow I was able to extend my arm far enough to reach my knife. When I grabbed my knife I forced it into the hyenas head so hard that it died a fast death I charged the hyena which wasn't expecting me and I drove my knife right through the side of the hyena it died a slow death. When I got to Amela I saw that she had I nasty cut on her leg. Fearing the worst I picked her up and started to run to the clan. Amela was pretty heavy but at that moment all I wanted to do was get Amela to safety. and with all the adrenalin I was able to make it back to the clan in no time. When I got there James spotted use and went for help. A few moments later James and the clans healer came I took Amela to a cave where the healer fixed her up. I waited outside the cave as the healer was with Amela. When the healer was done he came to me.

"She had lost a lot of blood but I fixed it so she should be better. She's unconscious right now from the blood loss" the healer said to me

When I entered the room I saw Amela on the floor. I rushed to her side giving her a great big hug.

"Please god let Amela be safe and don't let anything happen to her, because If I lose her then I don't know what I would do" I said as I laid there next to my sleeping friend.

I cuddled with her while I went into a deep thought .

"If I would have just told her how I really felt none of this would have happened". I thought to myself

As I cuddled with her I soon found myself asleep. When I woke up it was still dark outside, I spotted Amela laying down right next to me staring directly into my eyes.

"I heard you. I told you that you felt the same way" she said in her soft loving voice.

"You were right Amela I do love you. And almost losing you last night made me realize that I shouldn't care about what anyone says, I love you and that's that". I told my newly found lover.

And with that said I pulled her into a romantic kiss, when we pulled away we laid back down to sleep. As we slept we held ourselves close to each other.

"Hey angel" Amela said to me.

"I think that today should be the day we tell them".

"Are you sure"

"Yes I'm sure" she said to me in a serious voice

"Ok if you're sure".

We then started to walk to go find James. We walked for a good while not having any luck, though we did find Claudia (James's mate).

"Do you happen to know where James is"? Both me and Amela asked her.

"He said he needed to meet with a lion, he should be back any second now". She replied to us.

As we were walking away we spotted James walking towards us talking to a lion next to him.

"Hey Amela, angel come here there's someone I'd like you to meet" James shouted to us.

We walked over to him confused and not ready for the news he was about to drop on us.

"I want you to meet Ryan Anderson he's a lion that I found wondering around in the dessert. I invited him into the clan. I have some big news I want to tell you Amela so I want you two to come to the main cave tonight" James said to us

Before we could say anything he was gone still talking to Ryan the new lion. Ryan was a weird lion he had blonde hair that had a small shade of dirt brown on it, he was medium height, and he didn't look very strong but looks could be deceiving. I didn't like Ryan, the whole time James was talking Ryan was staring at me. I was going to say something to him but decided not to.

Night came so Amela and I went to the main cave. When we entered the cave we were surprised to see the whole clan there. Amela and I walked to James so we could sit next to him. After a while Ructo let out a roar to get everyone attention.

"Now that I've got your attention I have an important to announce. This lion here, his name is Ryan Anderson; I want you all to welcome him into our clan. I also have some more news; Ryan is going to be Amela's mate, Making Ryan and Amela the future leaders of our clan". James said making the clan cheer.

This news felt like a bomb that had just fell and exploded on me and Amela.

"No!" Amela shouted making all the lions stop cheering.

"Ryan can't be my mate"

"Why not" James replied looking confused

"Because I have fell in love with someone else"

"But it is custom for the leader to choose his daughters mate and the future rulers of the clan" James said to his step daughter.

"But I'm not even your real daughter, and I love the man I have now, with all my heart and he loves me and we want to be together forever" Amela said to James making me blush.

"Hmm I see and who is this other lion" James said as he looked through the crowd of lions.

Amela looked at me with a scared face, so I gave her a hug and told her it was ok and that everything would be fine. She then stood up proudly and announced to everyone.

"The man I have fell in love with is no lion, but a human. Angel and I are lovers and mates we've been in love for almost a year now, we plan to stay together, and if you don't except us then we will run away from here" Amela said loud enough so that everyone could hear.

Hearing this made a crowed of lions come to us. I was afraid, thinking they were going to eat me but was surprised to find out that they were happy for us and didn't care that I was a human. But on the other side of the cave there was another group of lions in raged in the thought of a human and a lion together. This caused in argument between the two groups. Before the groups went at each other James let a roar.

"Everybody just settle down. Now Amela do you love angel?"

"Yes" she answered.

"And Angel do you love Amela?"

"Of course"

Then it has been decided Amela and Angel are now mates. If you have a problem with it come talk to me, and the rest of you may leave."

Amela and I left along with a little over half the clan. Ryan and the other half stayed to talk to James.

Inside the cave tempers flared and voices were raised as Ryan and James argued about me and Amela.

"You chose me so I should be the one to be with Amela not that stupid human!!!" Ryan roared at James.

"Well I'm sorry I am not going to put you with Amela if she has already fallen in love"

"But we can't have a human as our leader that's just insane. I should be the future leader, I'm strong, I'm smart and I'm hot." Ryan roared.

"Well I know we can't have a human as a leader, and that's why I have a backup plan. I will pass the throne to my cub." James said

"But you have no cubs." Ryan said confused

"That's not true Claudia my mate is with cub" James said in a proud voice.

After a few more moments of the two lions arguing there was finally silence. Me and Amela were sitting at the entrance of the cave waiting to hear from James. That's when we saw Ryan come out of the cave followed by the other lions that didn't agree with me and Amela being mates. As Ryan passed us I looked into his eyes and all I could see was hate. When the lions were gone Amela and I went into the cave to talk to James.

"Hey James what happened" I asked him

"Well Ryan wasn't the lion I thought he was so I had to send him into exile" he replied

"What? Doesn't that seem a little harsh"

"No, I run a free clan where people are free to love who they want and are free to speak their mind. And anyone who is against that shall be sent into exile. So that's what happened to Ryan and all those other lions. They were all sent to exile"

"Wow"

"You two look tired you should get some sleep" James told us.

Amela and I just nodded in agreement and headed off to sleep. When we entered our part of the cave we laid down and held each other close together. As we laid there I noticed something on Amela's neck right below her left ear. I looked closely and saw that it was a small little star.

"Hey Amela what's this thing on your neck?"

"Oh that, that's nothing it just a birth mark" she replied

The next day Amela and I decided to go for a walk and visit the place where we first met. As we walked towards our destination me and Amela started talking about random stuff. When we neared the trees Amela brought up a rather uncomfortable subject.

"That is so nice this is also where me and Angel first met" Amela told Adam

After a few more moments of talking me, Amela, Adam, and Steve Headed of towards our clan, we told them that they were allowed to join our clan and that they wouldn't be judge, because in our clan we were free to love whoever we wanted.

When we got to the clan James talked with the two lions and just like that we had two new lions in our clan.

By the time we made it back it was dark, so me and Amela decided to go to sleep.
