Starpelt's life had taken a pleasant turn recently, not only with hir enrollment in the police Academy, and hir new found friendship with a young mouse femme cadet named Mary, but also with hir growing romance with a male wolftaur named Krano. As the weeks passed the bond between the Wolftaur and the Chakat grew stronger. Starpelt was also doing very well in hir classes at the Academy, it was discovered that shi was a natural with a gun, hir aim was almost perfect which surprised hir instructors. Shi was a little green at the hand to hand combat but shi was picking up on it very quick. Star was very happy, and as the year began to turn colder there was another reason coming up to look forward too, well two very good things coming up really but they both happened on the same day this year. As November began Star's birthday would be coming up, as well as the Thanksgiving Holiday, and they both happened to be on the same day this year, which didn't happen very often. Star's mother Blizzardpaw had already told hir and all of hir siblings that they would be eating at home this year with hir and that they could bring whomever they wanted with them. Star was already planning to bring Krano with hir to the feast that hir mother usually prepared. Starpelt's was also looking forward to seeing hir siblings again, Sapphire shi got to see so rarely due to hir career with Starfleet, hir twin sister Icepaw was always busy with hir band which was growing more popular every month it seemed, Then there was Sapphire's twin sister Ruby. Ruby was a very beautiful chakat, and had always been admired for that beauty even as a cub. Ruby like hir name sounded, had rich crimson fur that shaded to lighter red in area's giving hir a look like the gemstone that was hir name sake. Ruby had grown up in pageants, and other contests of beauty all hir life, usually winning. When Shi turned eighteen shi was offered a job as a model for a magazine. After that hir modeling career had taken off. Most would assume that the quick fame would go to the crimson chakat's head but it hadn't Ruby had remained just as kind and down to earth as shi always was.

Star woke to a rather unusual noise on the morning of hir birthday. Shi tried blearily to make out what the noise was and what it meant but was momentarily confused, that definitely wasn't hir comm, and it wasn't hir alarm clock. Shi raised hir head and looked around momentarily confused, this wasn't hir bed and that definitely wasn't hir clock that was bleeping so loudly. Shi reached out to turn it off finally starting to wake up just a little, this was Krano's house, shi had slept over the previous night after celebrating the start of the thanksgiving Holiday break that they were getting. Shi started to get up to start the day when shi felt a very firm bite to the scruff of hir neck from behind causing hir a bit of shock. Shi gasped but shi knew who it was and the bite wasn't painful, just the opposite actually. Shi gave a soft moan as he began to rub his hands over hir breasts from behind making hir shiver. "Hmmmm so last night wasn't enough for you wolfy?" Shi asked with a teasing grin hir tail running along his taur belly and sure enough he was definitely standing at 'attention'. Shi looked over hir shoulder at Krano and licked hir muzzle teasingly. He let go of the scruff of hir neck but continued to knead hir plump breasts in his hands almost possessively. "Hmmm I don't ever get enough of you, you should know that by now." He said with a growl. It was true that they did have a rather intense relationship, though they cooled it down when Star was in heat so they didn't wind up with a cub. Krano leaned down and ran his tongue along hir muzzle before pushing his tongue against hir lips to get them to part and allow their tongues to twine together. Star always enjoyed Krano's passionate love making, at first shi had suspected that he would be more wild in bed then loving but shi had been surprisingly wrong. He was always very mindful of hir needs as well as his own. Shi curled tail around his growing erection and began to tease him further as they kissed, his hands never stopping in their playing with hir breasts which was quickly getting hir just as needy as hir lover. Shi panted a bit before long and grinned at hir lover leaning back to give him a few bites in return for the ones he had given hir. One thing about Krano, he never wasted much time once both of them were at the point of readiness. He was quickly on top of hir back wrapping his forepaws around hir and pulling himself forward. Shi was always surprised when shi felt the thick canine shaped shaft pushing into hir, it was thicker then shi would have thought and stretched hir more then any of hir past lovers ever had. It was sometime later, atleast 20 minutes, before Krano's knot had deflated enough for the two of them to get out of bed and start the day, Star headed for hir usual morning shower while Krano made some coffee, they would be skipping breakfast since they knew they would need room for hir mother's dinner later on. Once they were both clean and dressed they decided to leave early so that they could help with the party when they got there. By the time they made it to hir mother's house it was actually getting close to afternoon, and they were the last ones to arrive. Hir sister Ruby was outside on the front lawn with hir cub in hir arms. Ruby and hir mate, a chakat named Dawn's-flame, had been wanting a cub for quite some time but had focused on their careers before starting a family. However when the time had come Star's sister had chosen to be the mother of the cub, which they had named Silverstreak, not only due to hir silvery fur but because shi was so incredibly fast when shi was chasing after hir toys. Star smiled as shi walked up to hir sister, who's usually black hair was died a startling blue color today, a interesting contrast to hir red fur. "Trying to play opposites with your twin?" Shi asked teasingly as shi gave hir sister the usual greeting hugs. Ruby just shook hir head and laughed. "No nothing like that, it was for a photoshoot and I just loved the look so I started to treat my hair with the dye regularly." Shi said with a shrug and a grin. "By the way Happy birthday Starpelt, I am glad I got to be here for it this year." Shi then blinked and looked over at Krano and smirked. "So this must be Krano huh? Geeze Star you really do like them big." Krano's head tilted till he realized that with Rubby settled down on hir taur belly as shi was shi could quite clearly see how big he was in more then just the height aspect of his body. He laid his ears back and tucked his tail between his legs in embarrassment. The two chakats giggled at his expression before Star gave the big Wolftaur a reassuring nuzzle. "Shi's just teasing you hun. You know how playful chakat's can be." Shi said with a grin which helped him to relax somewhat. Together the three of them, plus the sleeping cub, went inside where Star was immediately hugged by hir mother Blizzardpaw. Blizzpardpaw had gotten hir name due to the very beautiful coat of fur that shi possessed which looked like a blizzard alright, the light blue's and grey's shading to whites closer to hir under belly, with hir silvery head fur and bright blue eyes, shi looked like a walking snow storm. Hir mother's Denmate, a strikingly orange colored foxtaur male, walked in to give Star a hug as well. His name was Braddoch, and while shi had never grown as close to him as hir mother would have liked shi was happy that hir mother had him to make hir happy. Ofcourse they weren't the only ones to greet Star and Krano either, Sapphire was there helping out in the kitchen, and hir twin sister Icepaw was sitting in the living room tuning hir favorite guitar. They spent most of the next hour finishing up the preparations in the kitchen as the socialized and caught up on all the news, eventually even Krano relaxed enough to be his usual charming self. Shi had thought that he might be nervous about meeting hir mother for the first time, but Blizzardpaw had instantly loved Krano and had told him that he was welcome over at any time.

Soon enough though all the cooking was done and everything was laid out on the table, along with several cakes which had been decorated either with Star's name or hir face on them to mark hir birthday at this gathering. The thanksgiving dinner was delicious as always, hir mother was an especially good cook and hir favorite time of year was thanksgiving, when shi could get hir cubs together, though sometimes their schedules wouldn't allow them that, but they managed it more often then not. Soon though the food was devoured, and everyone was cleaning away the leftovers which would be divided up to go home with everyone. But that wasn't the end of their festivities. Everyone had brought a gift for Starpelt, for hir birthday. Sapphire's gift was a beautiful gemstone that had been found on one of hir explorations for Starfleet. Ruby had bought Star a rather beautiful looking leather jacket that was marked with silver star patterns all over it. From hir mother was a set of matching halter tops, each one a different color. Icepaw's gift was of course hir latest CD which wouldn't be out for another two weeks. Star always got advanced copies of hir sister's music but that was a twin sister's privilege. Finally Krano stood up to give his gift, yet he didn't seem to be holding anything. Star tilted hir head as shi gazed at hir good friend and lover, his emotions seemed to be a mix of hope, nervousness, and mischief, which he was always up to some thing so that wasn't surprising. He moved to pull hir to hir feet right in front of him and looked around at Hir family that was watching intently. "I know I have just met most of you but many of you have heard about the time Star and I have spent together, I know what an amazing Chakat shi is, shi has accomplished so much since I have known hir, and is probably the best at the Academy right now, but shi has accomplished something that is even more amazing to me." He said as he looked down into Star's eyes, shi was beginning to see where this was going and it was somewhat of a surprise for hir. He took both of hir hands and squeezed them softly in his larger hands. "Star my gift to you doesn't come in a box, and it wasn't bought at a store, it's something you already had. My heart." He said with a tender smile. "Starpelt will you be my Denmate?" he asked. For a moment all shi could do is Stare up at Krano in surprise and wonder before shi nodded and threw hir arms around his neck. "Oh Krano of course, I have been waiting for you to ask." Shi said with a smile as everyone at the table began to cheer for the newly formed couple

Later that night after shi and hir new mate had finished a very intense round of love making to celebrate their union they had also discussed their future together, deciding that Krano's house had a lot more room in it and would be better for both of them. So Star would be moving in with the large Wolftaur. In hir mind this had been the best birthday gift shi could have received. Shi had to admit that Krano was right, Shi really had accomplished a lot, and with things going so wonderfully shi began to wonder what could possibly happen to break down the happiness that was beginning to surround hir.
