Chapter Three: Getting Settled In
Author's Note:
I got an even better response to the second chapter, and I only hope that the response to this won't diminish too much because of some alternative content. I have been working on this on and off, and, being in school, it will probably take some time to get around to chapter four.
I'm seriously considering changing how I end the series... I'm beginning to like the characters too much to do that to them. (Hehe, teaser...)

This chapter contains M/M relations, as well as mild watersports in the form of scenting. Don't like, don't read. Simple as that.
Chapter Three
Corbin grinned as his mate licked him on the muzzle. Adrian immediately went behind their car and began rummaging for their bags. Corbin smiled and sighed, breathing in the fresh air. He immediately slips off his shirt, throwing it aside, the rest of his clothes following suit. He walks behind his mate as he is taking out their luggage, and hands Adrian his clothes, taking his bag in exchange. Adrian jumps slightly.
"You sure are taking the boycott on clothes seriously!" chuckled Adrian, setting their bags down and undressing himself, revealing his soft, orange-furred body to the open air. The wolf catches his eye and winks.
"I doubt that anyone is going to interrupt us up here... there's no one around for miles!" said Corbin. His mate grinned, moving to the wolf and wrapping his arms around him, their sheaths bumping together.
"Someone's frisky today!" chuckled Adrian. Corbin met his gaze, grinning.
"I guess being out in the wilderness brings out my core instincts..." said Corbin, a feral glint in his eyes. Adrian looked uncertainly at his mate, before the wolf lunged, tackling the fox onto the mossy ground. Adrian yipped as he hit the ground, but recovered quickly, a bit exhilarated by being pounced to the ground.
He grinned back at his mate, lowering his upper body and flicking his tail to the side as Corbin mounted him, his sheath bouncing against the skin under Adrian's tail. He found his mark and thrust forward, penetrating his mate. He slid his flaccid member into his mate, hilting himself, and beginning to rock forward. Adrian murred softly as Corbin's malehood began to swell. The wolf pulled back, almost slipping out of his mate, but then thrust forward, beginning the rhythmic ritual which, he knew, would leave their bodies connected.
Adrian felt his mate's knot beginning to swell as it slid in and out of him, brushing against his prostate and sending waves of pleasure through his body. The fox pushed back against his mate's thrusts, needing to feel their bodies join, needing the surge of his lover's seed inside of him.
Corbin felt his muscles begin to tense as he neared his peak, pleasure beginning to build in his loins as his knot swelled. He pulled back, his knot popping out of his mate. He positioned himself to thrust forward, but realized, to his frustration, that his knot had already reached its full size. He knew that if he tried to tie with his mate, he could easily injure the fox.
Adrian looked behind him, realizing the dilemma that his mate was having. He met the wolf's eyes, and told him without words what he wanted. Corbin leaned forward, every inch of his body telling him to thrust forward, to finish the job, but he held himself in place.
"Are you sure?" Corbin whispered. "I could hurt you." Adrian spoke, his voice shaky.
"Yes... I want you," he said.
Corbin didn't waste any time, and thrust forward, pushing with all of his strength against his mate, his thick not pressing at the fox's tailhole. The fox yelped loudly in pain, but Corbin was beyond stopping. He had to tie with his mate. His knot moved, painfully slowly, into Adrian before cresting and popping inside. Corbin's body reacted immediately to the fox's heat and pressure around his member. The wolf's seed began pouring into his mate's body.
Adrian yelped loudly in pain, a tear running down his muzzle before his mate's knot slid into him, pressing tightly against his prostate, and causing his body to erupt as the wolf's seed poured into him. Corbin's paws reached around his mate as he continued releasing his seed. He began stroking Adrian's chest affectionately, beginning to come down from his peak. He looked under his mate, and grinned, seeing a pool of the fox's seed on the ground. He smiled, trying to catch his mate's eye. The fox collapsed under him.
"Adrian? Are you alright?" he said worriedly. There was no reply. "Adrian?" He quickly took hold of his mate, rolling over so that the fox could rest on top of him. The fox stirred.
"I'm alright..." said Adrian softly.
"What happened? Are you sure you're alright?" said Corbin.
"I'm fine... it was just your knot. It was too much..." said Adrian. The wolf's heart sank. He had injured his mate, something that any wolf would be devastated by.
"Adrian... I'm sorry..." Corbin looked horrified. The fox smiled softly, turning as much as he could, and meeting his mate's gaze.
"It's alright, hun. I told you to do it, and you did. It was my own fault." said Adrian. But Corbin still looked saddened.
"I'm sorry... if you no longer wish to be loyal to me, I will understand..." A tear slid down the wolf's muzzle. Adrian turned, flinching as he repositioned himself to face his mate.
"I will always be faithful to you," said Adrian. Corbin looked slightly comforted, but still looked ashamed. Adrian put his arms around his mate as they waited out the tie.
Twenty minutes later, Corbin broke the silence, his knot now at such a size that he could pull out without causing too much pain.
"Adrian..." he started.
"Corbin, you are my mate, and you always will be. It was my own fault that I told you to put your knot in, not yours." he said. Corbin sighed, his body tensing agitatedly. Adrian looked down at him. "What's wrong?" Corbin blushed.
"I need to use a tree...or the toilet... badly." said the wolf.
"Which tree do you want to mark?" asked Adrian, chuckling softly. Corbin twitched.
"It doesn't matter... I just need to reach something fast." said Corbin. The fox remained on top of him. "What are you doing? I need to get up..." Adrian looked down at him, an idea suddenly occurring to him. He looked into his mate's eyes.
"I am going to prove to you that I am yours, and only yours." said the fox. He stood up, sliding off of his mate as the wolf's member slid back into its sheath. "Corbin, I want you to mark me. I want to make it clear that I am yours." The wolf stood in shock.
"What do you mean?" asked Corbin, trying to ignore his bladder. The fox moved over to a tree, standing against it, his back to his mate.
"Mark me with your scent, just as you would a tree." said the fox.
Adrian knew his mate well; and knew that, having the primal instincts that the wolf had, the symbolism of marking him as his property would comfort him. Even though the idea of what was going to happen felt slightly dirty to Adrian, he knew that it would comfort his mate, and therefore, be for the best. Corbin stepped forward.
"Are you sure?" asked the wolf uncertainly. Adrian nodded before turning back to the tree.
Corbin moved to the tree, taking hold of his sheath. Adrian braced himself, knowing what was about to happen. The wolf, with a satisfied sigh, let go. The stream of musk hit his mate in the small of the back and dribbled down his legs, his mate's scent coating his fur. It wasn't long before Corbin finished, shaking his sheath slightly, and looking uncertainly at his mate.
Adrian turned around, smelling his mate's strong scent all around him and smiling at the wolf. Corbin returned the smile, seeing that his mate didn't seem to mind, and feeling comforted that his mate was his, not to be taken by anyone else. Corbin stepped forward, hugging his mate, and getting a strong whiff of is own scent.
"Thank you... for letting me do that." said Corbin, smiling lovingly at his mate. The fox smiled back at him.
"I'd do anything to comfort my mate, hun." said Adrian, nuzzling the wolf softly. The two finally grabbed their luggage, closed the trunk of their car, and walked into the cabin.
Corbin began to unpack their bags while Adrian took a much-needed shower. The wolf transferred the one set of clothes each that they had brought into a small dresser in the bedroom. He thought to himself about what his mate had just allowed him to do, and felt a surge of affection for the fox.
"He really is a loyal mate... my loyal mate," thought Corbin. The wolf reached into the bag, pulling out the last item. "Held in Captivity..." he thought. He brought the video disc downstairs, and popped it into the player. A menu screen popped up, showing a mouse boy and the vixen that adopted him hugging. He smiled softly, hearing the shower stop in the adjacent bathroom. He waited as the fox began to dry his fur. Five minutes later, Adrian stepped out of the shower, fully clean, and in the fur. The fox's face lit up as he saw the screen, and his mate smiling up at him from the couch.
"You brought Held in Captivity?" said Adrian, sitting down next to his mate and hugging him.
"I knew you'd be glad that I did!" said Corbin, chuckling softly. They sat and watch the movie, cuddling together, and catching each other's eye playfully every time one of the two became aroused, or in Corbin's case, began swelling against his mate. The screen flickered in front of them, the movie holding their attention as they kept each other warm, their bodies pressed together. After the movie finished, Corbin sat up and stretched.
"I really do like that movie..." said Adrian. Corbin smiled.
"So do I." said the wolf. He grinned. "Look who's showing pink!"
Adrian chuckled, blushing slightly. Corbin licked his mate on the neck before reaching around him, and puling his sheath back. Adrian groaned softly as his mate took hold of his knot and began pumping his member quickly. The sudden clenching of Corbin's paw around the fox's knot meant that nothing was going to make the fox last long. The fox, after just a few short moments of the wolf's paw around his knot, began bucking into his mate's paw, his seed spraying messily over the wood floor of the cabin.
Corbin leaned down, cleaning his mate's member and the fur around it as the last of the fox's seed dribbled onto the couch. He continued lapping at his mate's fur, cleaning him off, until he was almost as clean as he was when he came out of the shower. The wolf sat back down, cuddling his mate. They both looked out the window, seeing the sun beginning to go down after their long day of traveling. Adrian licked his mate on the muzzle.
"Do you want to get some dinner?" asked Adrian.
"Sure," replied Corbin.
The two walked into the kitchen, wearing nothing but the fur on their bodies, and began to look for food.
