Survival by taboo and lust

One year had past after Kevin joined the group. Michel noticed she always smelled of sex every couple weeks with two different scents from males. He asked her why. Clara, "you never told me why Kevin is here? Is he someone on the side?" She answered. "He is my side project when Henry is hunting. I know Henry has a second female scent I do not know. I figured if I never set eggs he would leave me alone and assume I could not lay eggs. After I ran away, I was surprised I laid an egg. I thought if the father is not there maybe I have a chance of hatching it in safety. If there is a chance for me to hatch it, I would. I was full and strong enough to get food." "What happened after that?" Michel asked her. She answered back. "I do not want talk about it." She was not in the mood to discuss it. She grabbed Michel and held him down. He could not move. She told him. "Do not ever ask me about that again." She was mad at Michel. Then she let him go and he flew off. It was the first time he was scared of her. He wanted to know more so he found Kevin for more information.

Clara's loss

Kevin was on the other side of the woods when Michel found him. Michel asked Kevin what happened to Clara first child? Kevin looked around before talking. "Michel, you must never let her know that you know. We found her barely alive and she was thin I carried her. We took her to the head female to see if she was healthy enough to eat or if we can save her. She was quiet and did not move. She was alive and we gave her some food to eat. She ate it all. The head female asked her why she was filling in a hole. Some of us hid to over hear the conversation. Clara collapsed in depression. Clara began to speak." "He's dead I tried to keep him alive and I failed. My baby is dead. I tried to feed him and he had no heart beat, he stopped breathing. I found some food and was going to give it to him. Before I left the hiding spot he said, "I'm hungry please get me some food mom. I can barely move please find me some food."When I came back with food, he was dead. Michel asked Kevin, "why there is a head female?" "She is the strongest female in a group and protects the young. Any female will lay the eggs and take care of setting them, but the head male and female lead the group. They are like the alpha in our current group. They make decisions for the group. If they lose a challenge there is a new leader." Kevin continued the story. "The next day the head female asked some personal questions. Why are your eyes not red? I am blind from hatching.
